In the light of the current events in Ukraine it appears logical to consider the concept of trust. It has always been and still functions as a cement of human cooperation. Influencing various aspects of interpersonal relations, including interpersonal, intergroup, and individual ones, it illustrates the state of the political, economic and professional ability to maintain social connections. Trust makes the basis for problem solving and is characterized with constructive correlation. Thus, it is seen as the factor of transformation of the state's social status on its way to become democratic and transparent. Without exaggeration, it is trust that forms the ground for the majority of social processes.
On the other hand, the issue of trust becomes scrutinized with special precision in the difficult or crisis periods of the country's development. Apparently, the change in values, stereotypes, and heuristics is followed by the modification of the human ability to trust, which in this context symbolizes one's certainty of a particular object or thing being positive in its nature. The light is shed on the issue of trust in Ukraine as nowadays it is characterized by the difficult political, economic, and social situation.

AbstractIn the literature on entrepreneurship in developing countries, the argument that social networks are an essential factor for entrepreneurial success has been given considerable attention. This article challenges this one‐sided view by pointing out negative and restrictive effects of social networks on entrepreneurial success in particular, and on economic development in general. The article is structured as a comment on Kristiansen (2004), who worked on social networks and conducted field research in the city of Tanga, Tanzania, similar to the author, who had done the same two years previously. The findings from a six‐month field research are used in order to articulate important aspects left out in Kristiansen's discussion.

Constatant que les enfants, dans les années qui vont de l'école maternelle à la puberté, se regroupent généralement par sexe quand ils jouent librement, et décrivant certaines différences observables entre les contextes de socialisation qu'offrent les groupes de jeux de garçons et ceux de filles, cet article se propose d'étudier les raisons qui pourraient expliquer la tendance des enfants à former des groupes par sexe. Il apparaît que les styles de jeux et les manières de s'influencer, différents selon le sexe des enfants, sont d'importants facteurs. Trois types d'explications sont possibles : les facteurs biologiques ; les pressions socialisatrices exercées par les adultes ; la constitution des catégories sexuelles. L'article défend l'idée que "masculinité" et "féminité", qui expriment des différences individuelles, ne peuvent être liées à la préférence pour des compagnons de jeux du même sexe, et que ces deux aspects typiques du comportement de chaque sexe requiè- rent d'autres explications. La ségrégation apparaît comme un phénomène de groupe, fondamentalement indépendant des attributs individuels des enfants constitués en groupes séparés de garçons et de filles. Le fondement de cette ségrégation se situe dans le concept d'identité sexuelle, c'est-à-dire l'appartenance à des catégories fondamentales.

'Abundance' examines the experience of living in a society that has more information available to the public than ever before. It focuses on the interpretations, emotions, and practices of dealing with this abundance in everyday life. Drawing on extensive fieldwork and survey research conducted in Argentina, the book concludes that the experience of information abundance is tied to an unsettling of society, a reconstitution of how we understand and perform our relationships with others, and a twin depreciation of facts and appreciation of fictions.
