AbstractLabour Market Information forms a central place in career practice and how individuals enact their careers. This paper makes use of Alvesson and Sandberg's (Constructing research questions: doing interesting research.Sage, Thousand Oaks, 2013) methodology of focussing research on theoretical assumptions to construct a critical literature review on the relationship between Labour Market Information and career guidance. This paper presents six theoretical conceptions from the career literature: Contact, Rationalism, Nomad, Adaptability, Constructivist and Social Justice. We will argue for the need to move towards more constructivist understandings of Labour Market Information as well understandings linked to more critical understandings of the labour market.

The Tunis Agenda for the Information Society belongs in the realm of the few, but very important documents, that promote human reason, human rights and international law. Human rights concepts may be identified within the document as a social achievement of progression toward a common good. This progression toward an apotheosis represents a reminder that the world community must apply human rights standards to any accepted model for the management of the Internet, and yet, as we examine the entire "social process" and potential obstacles to the realization of the goals enshrined in the Tunis Agenda, we uncover the root of its message. These obstacles, within the Tunis Agenda, must be tackled within the context of a "geographical, political, religious, or intellectual" divide, and must be addressed as challenges, that impede the "path of human interaction" toward the effective "imagination of alternatives" and the potential for the arrangement of a workable road map that aims at approximating "a public order of human dignity, maximizing access to all things humans value."

Information and communication technology strategy can be said to have emerged as a road map for capitalizing on the use of information and technology as a key enabler of the government's transformation in the realms of new diplomacy. The recent information and communication technological development, in both developed and developing countries, has increased the high-speed interactive digital network for multilingual voice, video, print, data communication worldwide, revolutionizing how nation states communicate with one another in the international system. There is no doubt that in the contemporary international system information technology (IT) is fundamentally transforming the way we live, work, govern and communicate. The global digital network and the growing power of communication have created a new foundation of diplomacy in the international arena. Therefore, this article examines the sweeping changes in the global system, high-speed interactive network with adequate bandwidth for multilingual voice, video, print and data communication vis-à-vis the conduct of diplomacy in the twenty-first century. Furthermore, it should be emphasized that IT is as important as politics, economics and military power, information, communication skills and foreign policy are high national priorities in international relations. The introductory part of this article focuses on the concept of diplomacy and we further analyze the sweeping changes in IT and growing power of communication in the new millennium and the contribution of IT toward the development of diplomacy in the international system.

The research objective of the paper is to analyse and systematize modern digital technologies used in law-making, as well as to identify the consequences of digitalization of law-making for legal drafting methodology. It is stated that in humanitarian studies there is uncertainty in the use of the terms "digital technologies", "digitalization", "information technologies", "automation", "electronic technologies", "network technologies", "computer technologies", etc.; this circumstance interferes with the formation of legislation on the use of the latest technologies in law-making. Analysing documents and scientific literature, the authors conclude that it is necessary to distinguish between information technology and digital technologies in the field of rulemaking. Such terminology will help create different legal regimes for different procedures intended for dealing with legal information.

While recognizing the importance of a wide range of influences on current patterns of globalization in developing countries, this paper focuses on the role played by information technologies of various kinds. It is argued that these technologies are associated with a number of powerful cumulative mechanisms causing some countries to grow rapidly & others to become increasingly marginalized from the global economy. These differential effects of information technology on patterns of globalization are better viewed from the perspective of Myrdal's notion of cumulative causation than from the standpoint of standard economic theory. 1 Table, 24 References.
