What do we mean by the term policy history? In conventional usage, "history" refers to one of two kinds of investigation: the study of something that happened at some point in the past, or the study of how something came to be what it is. It is this second usage -- the idea of policy history as an unfolding story of policy development that I want to examine in this essay. Many studies with an often complex design are administered simultaneously in the National Educational Panel Study (NEPS) at the Leibniz Institute for Educational Trajectories (LIfBi). Furthermore, the division of labor between different work units is high. Thus, it is challenging to keep an overview of processes, responsibilities and routines. From a management perspective, organizational integration is needed. One way to support this integration is through the implementation of digital tools. The LIfBi Study Manager was created for this purpose and to improve the survey management in the areas Study Overview, Scheduling and Workflows. The aim of the LIfBi Study Manager is to introduce a so-called learning system, that is a system that collects data that can be used for future surveys. The current status and future developments of the LIfBi Study Manager are discussed in this paper.

Emphasis on the study of public administration has in recent years become so marked that of all the fields in the study of government it stands out as the most rapidly growing. What Woodrow Wilson called attention to some fifty years ago has in fact become the center of interest in political science. No longer is hard study confined to the problem of making constitutions. The study of administration has concerned itself extensively with the processes and procedures, with the ways of carrying out public policy. However, Woodrow Wilson's advice, recommending the careful determination of the basic political conceptions necessary for the student of public administration, has not always been followed; and the present note is designed to suggest some factors bearing on these basic political conceptions. Specifically, it is to be emphasized that the means through which the state carries on its functions cannot be adequately analyzed except in relation to its ends.

Since the turn of the millennium, worker's motivation and positive workforce environment are the contributing factors to the development of a global economy. From the perspective of the labor force, employee's job satisfaction, personal well-being and life satisfaction can change the labor market. Studies report that there were significant social and economic changes occurring in European countries, including Hungary. These social and economic changes significantly shaped individual and group value choice and other aspects of a quality life. This study presents a comparative analysis of job satisfaction and work-related attitudes between Hungary and other international nations. While the study was in progress, the COVID-19 epidemic reached Hungary. As a result of COVID-19, new forms of employment developed. The most significant change was the working from home phenomenon. This new system of working significantly transformed the domestic and EU employment opportunities. Also, employee's satisfaction was affected by their working conditions. The study's data analysis aims to identify the underlying emerging trends which will be explored in a future study. According to the results of this research study, the author found that there is a relationship between job satisfaction and a worker's attitude among Hungarian employees. The study results confirm the legitimacy of new theories on human capital.

In an article entitled "Teaching the Congress and Legislative Process Courses," L. Sandy Maisel found by examining the syllabi of such courses that about half of them involved legislative case study assignments. He suggested that further exploration of these assignments would be appropriate. Since students are so commonly required to do case studies of bills in legislative courses, a description of this type of assignment and discussion of how to implement it would be useful. In this paper, I will cover my use of this type of assignment in a course on the legislative process. In describing this legislative case study requirement, sections on background information, the case study assignment, and student reaction to the assignment, together with a brief conclusion, will be presented.

Although transsexuality and change of sex might be considered a matter of personal choice, they have some socio-cultural causes and consequences. This article aims to examine these through the illustration of transsexuality in Iran. To this end, firstly, sexual transition and the legal system in Iran will be explained. Secondly, the methodology will follow. This study uses the survey method with two separate samples: 1) transsexuality policy makers and 2) forty individual cases of transsexuals. The findings reveal that while the Iranian legal system does not ban transsexuality and sexual transition, transsexuals suffering from gender identity disorder do encounter some social and cultural problems both in their private lives and publicly. The paper concludes with a summary of research findings, and sets out recommendations and study limitations.
