ABSTRACT; This research is concerned with Islamic islamic astrology. This research problem focused on the identification of Islamic archipelagic astrology by mengintragasikan with modern astrology in Tidore Sultanate as a contribution of healthy social change in the community. This research is characterized by phenomenology with ethnography approach. The problem of this research is how the integration of modern astrology and astrology in the Tidore sultanate. Data collection technique using medate deep interview Densin, Data analysis technique using Haberman and Miles model with display data, data reduction and conclusion. This study uses a multiparadigm approach in looking at social reality. This study found there are 9 types of black magic in the tradition of society if there is social conflict, this black magic media as a disturbing social life that ends in the death of the soul. In addition there are 14 white sciences that have a major contribution to maintaining the physical and spiritual health of Islamic islands in the city of Tidore. The role of Islamic astrology of this archipelago strongly influences the style of thinking of society in the process of cultural development and contributes in three aspects; 1). Astronomy all aspects of life to determine the day to achieve success in work, 2). Determining good days for political, cultural, and economic activities. Islamic astrology, especially for the people, mostly calls the elderly astrology rather than using modern ways of thinking on the aspects of death, body bath, house entry, weddings, and the determination of good days and even heavily influences the political color. 3). Islamic astrology is used as a guide to the healing process of medical and non medical diseases. Modern astrology is materialism Islamic astrology of islands is spirituality. The contribution of this study is to open an integrated scientific insight, interconnect with multiparadigm insight to formulate academic manuscripts of Islamic astrology of the archipelago as a contribution to the development of science.Key Word; Astrology, Islam, and the archipelago. Masalah penelitian ini terfokus pada identifikasi ilmu astrologi Islam kepulauan dengan mengintragasikan dengan astrologi modern di Kesultanan Tidore sebagai kontribusi perubahan sosial yang sehat di tengah masyarakat. Penelitian ini bercorak fenomenologi dengan pendekatan etnografi. Masalah penelitian ini adalah bagaimana Integrasi astrologi modern dan astrologi di kesultanan Tidore. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan medote deep interview Densin, Teknik analisis data menggunakan model Haberman dan Miles dengan melakukan display data, reduksi data dan kesimpulan. Kajian ini menggunakan pendekatan multiparadigma dalam mencermati realitas sosial. Penelitian ini menemukan ada 9 jenis ilmu hitam dalam tradisi masyarakat jika terjadi konflik sosial, media ilmu hitam ini sebagai pengganggu kehidupan sosial bermasyarakat yang berakhir pada kematian jiwa. Selain itu ada 14 ilmu putih yang memiliki kontribusi besar menjaga kesehatan jasmani dan rohani masyarakat Islam kepulauan di kota Tidore. Peran astrologi Islam kepulauan ini sangat memengaruhi corak berpikir masyarakat dalam proses pembangunan kebudayaan dan berkontribusi dalam tiga aspek; 1). Ilmu perbintangan semua aspek kehidupan untuk menentukan hari untuk mencapai kesuksesan dalam bekerja, 2). Menentukan hari-hari baik untuk melakukan aktivitas politik, budaya, dan ekonomi. Astrologi Islam khususnya bagi masyarakat lebih banyak mengutakan ilmu perbintangan orang tua-tua dari pada menggunakan cara berpikir orang modern pada aspek kematian, mandi jenazah, masuk rumah, acara pernikahan, dan penentuan hari baik dan bahkan ia sangat memengaruhi warna politik. 3). Astrologi Islam digunakan sebagai petunjuk untuk proses penyembuhan penyakit medis dan non medis. Astrologi modern bersifat materialism Astrologi Islam kepulauan bersifat spiritualialitas. The process of development of Ukrainian studies at Kharkiv University in the XIX – early XX century was considered. It is shown that already in the late 1820s – during the 1840s a number of professors, teachers and students worked in the fields of history, folklore, ethnography, literature, publishing, studying poetry and song heritage of the Ukrainian people. The idea of Ukrainian national-cultural progress, the foundations of which were laid in the social practice of Kharkiv University community on the cultural stage of the Ukrainian nation, enjoy a greater maturity on the following cultural-political stage of the national-liberation competitions and much more were revealed during the 1860-1880-ies., when scientists-Ukrainists moved to the position of methodology of positivism. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, when the political stage of Ukrainian nationalization gradually became firmly established, representatives of the patriotic part of the faculty and students of the Kharkiv University continued and deepened the development of various branches of Ukrainian studies, actualizing the relevant issues in the socio-political conditions of the Russian imperial regime. The activities of the Ukrainian intellectual community has been important in defending the Ukrainian people's right to their own language, education, science and culture contributed to the progress of Ukrainian national consciousness and identity. Kharkiv scholars' Ukrainian studies studios were often carried out at the same time as their scientific research in various fields of Slavic studies. ; Рассмотрен процесс развития украиноведческих исследований в Харьковском университете в XIX – начале ХХ в. Показано, что уже в конце 1820-х – 1840-х гг. ряд профессоров, преподавателей и студентов работали в области истории, фольклористики, этнографии, литературы, издательского дела, изучая поэтическое и песенное наследие украинского народа. Идея украинского национально-культурного развития, основы которой закладывались в социальную практику харьковского университетского сообщества на культурническом этапе создания украинской нации, приобрели большую зрелость на следующем культурно-политическом этапе национально-освободительной борьбы и значительно активнее проявлялись в течение 1860-1880-х гг., когда ученые-украинисты перешли на позиции методологии позитивизма. На рубеже ХIХ-ХХ вв., когда постепенно утверждалась политическая стадия создания украинской нации, представители патриотически настроенной части профессорско-преподавательского состава и студенчества Харьковского университета продолжили и углубили развитие различных отраслей украиноведения, актуализируя соответствующую проблематику в общественно-политических условиях российского имперского режима. Деятельность украинского интеллектуального сообщества имела важное значение в деле отстаивании права украинского народа на собственный язык, образование, науку и культуру, способствовала развитию украинского национального сознания и идентичности. Украиноведческие студии харьковских ученых часто осуществлялись одновременно с их научными исследованиями в различных областях славистики. ; Розглянуто процес поступу українознавчих студій у Харківському університеті в ХІХ – на початку ХХ ст. Показано, що вже наприкінці 1820-х – упродовж 1840-х рр. ряд професорів, викладачів та студентів працювали у галузях історії, фольклористики, етнографії, літератури, видавничої справи, вивчаючи поетичну та пісенну спадщину українського народу. Ідея українського національно-культурного поступу, основи якої закладалися в соціальну практику харківської університетської спільноти на культурницькому етапі українського націотворення, набули більшої зрілості на наступному культурно-політичному етапі національно-визвольних змагань і значно активніше виявлялися впродовж 1860–1880-х рр., коли вчені-україністи перейшли на позиції методології позитивізму. На рубежі ХІХ–ХХ ст., коли поступово утверджувалася політична стадія українського націотворення, представники патріотично налаштованої частини професорсько-викладацького складу та студентства Харківського університету продовжили і поглибили розвиток різних галузей українознавства, актуалізуючи відповідну проблематику за суспільно-політичних умов російського імперського режиму. Діяльність української інтелектуальної спільноти мала важливе значення у справі відстоювання права українського народу на власну мову, освіту, науку та культуру, сприяла поступу української національної свідомості та ідентичності. Українознавчі студії харківських вчених часто здійснювались водночас з їхніми науковими дослідженнями в різних галузях славістики.

This research is focused on the Banking Union, the main reform of the European Union's institutions called for by the Heads of State and Government in response to the 2008 financial crisis. This reform entrusts the European Central Bank in particular with the task of supervising banks in the euro zone from November 2014. At the crossroads of a sociology of finance in discussion with a sociology of science and technology studies, and a political sociology, the thesis proposes to analyse new supervisory practices as a problem of government in the sense defined by Michel Foucault. The Banking Union is portrayed as an institutional arrangement, namely an assemblage of actors, auditing practices and control devices, at the heart of which a new form of intervention is invented. The purpose of this arrangement is to produce a centralized European expertise on a developing territory of government. In this territory, the problematization of good banking conduct aims at ensuring a sustainable future for investors' assets without acting on the financial flows in a constraining way. The supervisory authorities of the states involved in the arrangement are now in charge of applying the decisions made collectively in Frankfurt about banks still considered as national. Through this inquiry, the thesis contributes to contemporary debates on finance and on the European construction by enlightening the effects of public policies geared towards the issue of investment management in Europe. It especially improves our understanding of the reshaping of national sovereignties in banking policies, and shows that far from disappearing, those play a decisive role in the constitution of the territory studied. Developments are based on a qualitative inquiry, including an ethnography of the Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR), an interview campaign and a documentary analysis. ; Cette recherche prend pour objet l'Union bancaire, à savoir la principale réforme des institutions de l'Union européenne souhaitée par les chefs d'État et de gouvernement en réponse à la crise financière de 2008. La réforme confie notamment à la Banque centrale européenne la charge de superviser les banques de la zone euro à partir de novembre 2014. À la croisée d'une sociologie de la finance en discussion avec une sociologie des sciences et des techniques, et d'une sociologie politique attentive aux instruments d'action publique, la thèse propose d'analyser les nouvelles pratiques de supervision comme un problème de gouvernement au sens de Michel Foucault. Elle décrit ainsi l'Union bancaire comme un agencement institutionnel, à savoir un assemblage d'acteurs, de pratiques de vérification et de dispositifs de contrôle, au sein duquel s'invente une forme inédite d'intervention. Cet agencement produit une expertise européenne centralisée sur un territoire de gouvernement. Sur celui-ci, la problématisation de la bonne conduite des établissements vise à garantir un devenir pérenne des actifs des investisseurs, sans agir de façon dirigiste sur les flux financiers. Les autorités de supervision des États prenant part à l'agencement sont en charge de relayer les décisions collectivement actées à Francfort sur leurs banques considérées comme nationales. La thèse contribue aux débats académiques contemporains relatifs à la finance et à la construction européenne, en rendant visibles par l'enquête les effets d'une action publique tournée vers le problème de la gestion de l'investissement en Europe. Elle permet notamment de saisir la recomposition des souverainetés étatiques en matière de politique bancaire qui, loin de s'effacer, jouent un rôle décisif dans la constitution du territoire étudié. Les développements sont élaborés à partir d'une enquête qualitative, incluant une ethnographie de l'Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR), une campagne d'entretiens et une analyse documentaire.

This dissertation uses mixed qualitative methods to explore the ideas and experiences of Latinx feminists spanning national origin, sexuality, race, and generation status not only to reimagine what we think we know about identity, social movements, and knowledge production, but also how we come to know it. Scholars theorize the Self as produced through social interactions and internalizing how individuals see each other, yet Latinx communities experience the institutionalized disappearance of their bodies, political power, and knowledge. How, then, is the Self formed under these circumstances? Across four empirically-driven chapters, I explore how Latinx feminists make sense of and contest their disappearance in four realms: ideology, discourse, reproductive politics, and academic knowledge production. I argue that for those on the margins, the Self is formed through the production of political lenses in relation to current and future realities, producing what I term politicmaking. I define politicmaking as the creation of imaginaries for being in the world that make salient intersecting oppressions rendered invisible in non-intersectional politics and discourses, motivated by the need to affirm marginalized subjectivities, love, knowledge, and joy. As a relational approach, politicmaking requires the negotiation of fluid and contentious ideas and experiences of privilege and oppression that interrogate the erasure of Indigeneity, Blackness, feminisms, and queer experiences in views of and from Latinx communities.Based on a nearly three-year ethnography with California Latinas for Reproductive Justice (CLRJ)—a social movement organization engaged in policy advocacy in the movement for reproductive justice—I find that their activism, rooted in how white supremacy, settler colonialism, and other structures affect reproduction, contends with a larger terrain of reproductive rights that prioritizes gendered inequalities. By resisting intersecting inequities and non-intersectional discourses, Latinx feminists make politics that negotiate the similarities and differences across Latinx reproductive experiences. As a result, they create counter narratives of Latinxs as whole selves who also experience autonomy and joy. To further understand how Latinx feminisms are practiced across time and space, I trace some of the permutations of politicmaking through content analysis of various cultural forms, including texts in the humanities and social sciences, podcasts and social media, and literary art. Throughout the dissertation, I show that Latinx feminists as politicmakers develop a sense of being as contested communities, shifting from the Self as identity to the Self as an ongoing, relational, political stance. Specifically, I explore the relationship between Latinx feminist thought and Black feminist theories in the United States, the distinguishing features that connect Latinx feminisms across social locations, the controlling images that impinge on Latinxs' abilities to exert self-determination, the contentious perspectives on race and Latinidad, the difficulties and necessities of building solidarity at the intersections of movements and identities, and the implications of sociological research on understandings of Latinx migration as a gendered process. I connect Latinx feminist praxis with Du Bois, Hill Collins, Hunter, and others who examine what it means to resist in a racialized body that is not fully seen. By linking these theories with data on social movements in reproductive politics, I begin to trace the origins and features of a pan-ethnoracial Latinx feminist framework. This framework offers lessons for imagining political solidarity built upon the messiness of difference and sameness. I reveal that Latinx feminists have created a transformative body of knowledge about intra and intergroup relations and political futures that remains either unknown or undervalued.

Introducción: Este artículo propone una aproximación socio-etnográfica a aquellos grupos de la circulación migratoria rumana que quedan relegados "al margen" y ubicados estratégica y simbólicamente "al otro lado", esto es, al margen de la ley, la sociedad y fuera del foco de atención de las ciencias sociales. Así, nos detendremos en las brigadas, formaciones de jóvenes que organizan sus actividades en torno a los delitos contra la propiedad y la práctica de la prostitución trasnacionales; y los clanes romaníes, grupos con vínculo familiar que desempeñan actividades como la recogida y venta de chatarra, las tareas agrícolas de temporada o la mendicidad.Método: El enfoque biográfico se sustenta en la etnografía "multi-situada" (España/Rumanía), dando especial relieve a la construcción de contextos de convivencia e intimidad con los actores. Estos se hallan agrupados en diferentes núcleos familiares procedentes de las regiones de Valaquia, Moldavia y Transilvania, y que hoy participan de una experiencia migratoria trans-nacional.Resultados: Se trata de una investigación iniciada en 2013 y que se encuentra en curso, por lo que los resultados son provisionales. En el caso de la minoría romaní se observa una notable discriminación por parte de los Estados, que produce una injustificada alarma social. En relación con el delito y la prostitución trans-nacionales, las políticas de control social tienden al pánico moral y se concentran en grupos delictivos de baja intensidad, buscando la permanente legitimación en una lucha simbólica (e ineficaz) frente a los fantasmas del "crimen organizado".Discusión: El paradigma de la victimización criminalizadora contribuye a ahondar en el proceso de estigmatización de estas poblaciones, cuya esperanza emancipadora pasa necesariamente por des-afiliarse de los discursos dominantes. No obstante, evidenciar el carácter heterogéneo de las migraciones rumanas no debe llevarnos a ignorar la influencia de las estructuras socio-políticas ni el peso de la historia. Introduction: This article proposes a socio-ethnographic approach to those groups of the Romanian migratory movement that are reduced to living "on the Margins" and strategically and symbolically located "on the other side", that is, outside the law, society and the attention of the social sciences. Therefore, we will focus on the brigadas, youth groups that organise their activities around property crime and transnational prostitution; and the Roma clans, groups with family ties that survive through the collection and sale of scrap, seasonal agriculture or begging.Method: The biographical approach is based on the "Multi-sited" Ethnography (Spain / Romania), with special emphasis on the building of close and personal relationships with the participants. These are grouped in different family nuclei originated from the regions of Valaquia, Moldavia and Transilvania, and that today participate in a trans-national migratory experience.Results: This research was initiated in 2013 and is still in progress, so the results are provisional. In the case of the Roma minority, there is a considerable discrimination on the part of the state, which feeds an unjustified social alarm. In relation to trans-national crime and prostitution, the social control policies are driven by moral panic and concentrate on low-intensity criminal groups, seeking a permanent legitimisation of a symbolic (and ineffective) struggle against the ghosts of "organised crime".Discussion: The paradigm of criminalising victimisation contributes to deepening the process of stigmatisation of these populations, whose emancipatory hope requires an escape from the dominant discourses. However, illustrating the diversity of the Romanian migrations should not lead us to ignore the influence of socio-political structures or the weight of history.

Este texto presenta una investigación realizada en el Resguardo Misak (Guambiano) la María, Piendamó, Cauca, Colombia; entre los años 2014 al 2018. El objetivo fue analizar las formas en que se construyen y se aprenden las políticas indígenas en nakchak, mediante la comprensión de las palabras de las mujeres, para aportar al fortalecimiento de la comunidad con el conocimiento desenvuelto en la vida. La metodología del trabajo surgió del estudio de las propuestas de algunos investigadores guambianos y solidarios presentes en las luchas de los años 70 y 80 del siglo XX. Los conceptos de nakchak y nakuk, se construyeron desde la metodología de acompañar, que consiste en vivir con las personas del Resguardo. Sin ser una etnografía, esta investigación utiliza como herramienta central el diario de campo, elemento creado dentro de ese enfoque investigativo. El debate teórico inicial parte de la necesidad de tomar distancia de los planteamientos propios de la antropología política clásica. La postura metodológica se inscribe en los estudios críticos de base marxista que han surgido dentro de la investigación social colombiana, por medio del trabajo de solidarios como el antropólogo Luis Guillermo Vasco. Las conclusiones del trabajo dan cuenta de la forma en que el proceso de burocratización de algunos sectores indígenas ha silenciado, en parte, la vida cotidiana como participación política. La cocina deja de ser un lugar de la política, es decir deja de ser nakchak, para ser un lugar de opresión, un lugar de la vida privada, el lugar donde actúan las diversas formas que asume la colonización. El silenciamiento de la voz de los mayores y mayoras, entendidos no solo como seres humanos, es una de las principales maneras para continuar y fortalecer las estructuras sociales y culturales del colonialismo interno. ; This text presents an investigation carried out in the Misak Reservoir (Guambiano) la María, Piendamó, Cauca, Colombia; between 2014 and 2018. The objective was to analyze the ways in which indigenous policies are built and learned in nakchak, by understanding the words of women, to contribute to the strengthening of the community with the knowledge developed in life. The methodology of the work arose from the study of the proposals of some Guambian and solidarity researchers present in the struggles of the 70s and 80s of the 20th century. The concepts of nakchak and nakuk, were built from the methodology of accompanying, which consists of living with the people of the Reservation. Without being an ethnography, this research uses as a central tool the field journal, an element created within this investigative approach. The initial theoretical debate starts from the need to take distance from the approaches typical of classical political anthropology. The methodological position is part of the Marxist-based critical studies that have emerged within Colombian social research, through the work of solidarity as the anthropologist Luis Guillermo Vasco. The conclusions of the work give an account of the way in which the process of bureaucratization of some indigenous sectors has silenced, in part, the daily life as political participation. The kitchen ceases to be a place of politics, that is, it ceases to be nakchak, to be a place of oppression, a place of private life, the place where the various forms assumed by colonization act. The silencing of the voice of the elderly and the elderly, understood not only as human beings, is one of the main ways to continue and strengthen the social and cultural structures of internal colonialism. ; Doctorado

El objetivo principal de la comunicación es analizar nuevos procesos de «neoliberalización experimental» en el contexto de la gobernanza política filantrópica en educación, para defender los análisis de la movilidad de las políticas, en lugar de las transferencias políticas, en el campo de la educación comparada. Defiendo la sustitución del término «neoliberalismo» por «neoliberalización», para comprender este fenómeno como un «régimen mutativo». Realizo una revisión de la literatura para sistematizar los resultados más relevantes de las principales investigaciones sobre las políticas rápidas, la movilidad de las políticas y los nuevos procesos de gobernanza global de las redes filantrópicas como proyecto metodológico, en vez de las transferencias políticas. Analizo la neoliberalización como cambios resituados, readaptados y fundamentados por la «experimentación regulatoria» propios del paradigma de las «políticas rápidas», que producen mutaciones geográficas. El siguiente apartado detalla los aspectos metodológicos de la investigación desarrollada en el contexto de la política educativa española como «estudio de caso distendido». El artículo utiliza la etnografía en red mediante la combinación de técnicas de las redes políticas con procesos etnográficos. El apartado de los resultados muestra y analiza tres tipologías de redes filantrópicas y sus discursos docentes. La «red política global resituada» es la mutación de la red Teach for All en España, Empieza por Educar, que promueve una política rápida, orientada a crear nuevos docentes bajo lógicas discursivas basadas en la performatividad, la efectividad y la rendición de cuentas. La «red política filantrópica conservadora» se configura mediante una fundación, la iglesia católica y la monarquía junto a alianzas empresariales que han actuado en procesos de formación de 50.000 docentes y en más 3.000 escuelas. La «red política filantrópica experimental» es una alianza filantrópica emergente entre fundaciones de empresas importantes españolas y actores simbólicos, orientada a paliar, mediante programas experimentales, los problemas del sistema educativo. ; The main aim of this paper is to analyze new processes of "experimental neoliberalization" in the context of philanthropic governance in education to defend incorporating of policy mobilities rather than transfer policy in comparative education field. I defend the substitution of the term "neoliberalism" with "neoliberalization" so as to understand this phenomenon as a "mutative regime". A review of the literature was carried out in order to provide a systematic overview of the most relevant results of the research on fast policies, policy mobilities and the new governance deriving from philanthropic networks as methodological project, rather than policy transfers. I analyze the concept of neoliberalization characterized by changes which are recontextualized, readapted and founded by the "regulatory experimentation" characteristic of the paradigm of "fast policies" produced by geographical mutations. The following section details methodological aspects of the research conducted within the context of Spanish educational policy as a "distended case- study". The paper uses network ethnography by combining the techniques of political networks with ethnographic processes. The results section details and analyzes three types of philanthropic networks and their teaching discourses. The "resituated political global network" is the mutation of Teach for All network in Spain, "Empieza por Educar", which promotes a fast policy aimed at creating new teachers under discursive logic based on principles such as performativity, effectiveness and accountability. The "conservative political philanthropic network" is comprised of a foundation, the Catholic Church and the monarchy along with business alliances that have taken part in training processes for 50,000 teachers in over 3,000 schools. And the "experimental philanthropic policy network" is an emerging philanthropic alliance between foundations belonging to the largest Spanish companies and symbolic actors, aimed at alleviating problems in the education system through experimental programmes.

Vicente Marcano fue un hombre de ciencia multidimensional y un ciudadano venezolano decimonónico ejemplar quien está considerado como el precursor de las ciencias experimentales en Venezuela. Marcano cultivó diversas disciplinas: la química agrícola y, lo que hoy llamaríamos la ciencia de los alimentos y la geoquímica. Además, hasta la segunda mitad del siglo XX, Vicente Marcano tenía el record de mayor número de cuevas exploradas en Venezuela, también hizo aportes a la antropología y la etnografía, incursionó en la literatura escribiendo relatos, promovió la creación de asociaciones literarias y participó en la vida política nacional. Vicente Marcano realizó la mayor parte de sus investigaciones en laboratorios fundados por él mismo en Venezuela, publicó en revistas nacionales e internacionales y obtuvo varias patentes de invención las cuales fueron utilizadas para crear un emprendimiento exitoso en los Estados Unidos de América. Sin embargo, su vida tan solo ha sido parcialmente estudiada y, aunque sus restos reposan en el Panteón Nacional, nuestro pueblo conoce muy poco sobre sus aportes a la ciencia y a la cultura venezolana. Este trabajo es el primero de una serie de artículos correspondientes a un proyecto de investigación cuyo objetivo es redescubrir la vida de Vicente Marcano utilizando mayormente fuentes digitales. Esta es la primera vez que Sondeo Histórico Digital (SHD) se aplica a un caso de estudio del siglo XIX. SHD es una metodología creada por el autor para utilizar internet y las redes sociales para hacer crónicas biográficas e institucionales. En este artículo se revisa el perfil biográfico de Vicente Marcano haciendo una proyección de sus orígenes y del ambiente en el cual vivió y, con el auxilio de los relatos breves que él mismo escribió, se estudian los primeros pasos de su vida y su educación en Caracas. ; Vicente Marcano was a multidimensional scientist and an exemplary nineteenth-century Venezuelan citizen who is considered the forefather of the experimental sciences in Venezuela. Marcano worked in several disciplines: agricultural chemistry, and what we now would call food science and geochemistry. In addition, until the second half of the twentieth century, Vicente Marcano held the record of most caves explored in Venezuela. Marcano also made contributions to anthropology and ethnography, he ventured into literature by writing short stories, promoted the creation of literary associations, and participated in our national political life. Vicente Marcano carried out most of his research in laboratories set up by himself in Venezuela, published in national and international journals, and obtained several patents of invention which were used to start a successful business venture in the United States of America. Nevertheless, his life has only been partially studied, and, although his remains were laid to rest in the National Pantheon, our people know very little about his contributions to Venezuelan science and culture. This paper is intended to be the first in a series of papers corresponding to a research project that aims at rediscovering the life of Vicente Marcano using mostly digital sources. This is the first time that Digital Historical Sounding (DHS) has been applied to a nineteenth century case study. DHS is a methodology developed by the author to use Internet and social media networks to make biographical and institutional profiles. Introducción: El presente artículo es el resultado de un análisis de la realidad sociofronteriza de la frontera hispano-marroquí, concretamente del caso de Ceuta. Para ello, se hace una aproximación al contexto en el que se enmarca el objeto de la investigación, es decir, la importancia de la situación geopolítica de Ceuta y la región de Tetuán en la estructuración de un paso fronterizo –el Tarajal-; el cual tiene un elevado trasiego de personas y mercancías. Para indagar sobre este aspecto se ha centrado la atención en las mujeres transfronterizas que principalmente son: trabajadoras sexuales, empleadas domésticas y porteadoras; y es justamente en estas últimas sobre las que ha versado la investigación.Método: La etnografía es la lógica de investigación social que se ha seguido en el proceso de producción de datos. La metodología de la presente investigación parte de un planteamiento cualitativo en el cual de un modo inductivo se pretende indagar sobre una realidad social a partir del acercamiento directo con los sujetos objeto de estudio. Las técnicas de producción de datos de esta investigación se fundamentan en fuentes primarias o directas, para las cuales se utilizan los instrumentos de recogida de datos de la observación y la entrevista en profundidad. Introduction: This article derives from the analysis of social reality on the SpanishMoroccan border, especially on Ceuta. Therefore, the text focuses on the context where the investigation takes place: the awareness of the geopolitical situation in Ceuta and Tetuan region regarding the organization of the border crossing -the Tarajal-, crossed by enormous quantities of people and goods. To deep in the aspect, the text focuses on trans-boundary women, most of whom are domestic workers, prostitutes and porteadoras. This research is about the last ones.Methodology: Ethnography is the logic followed and used in the process of information's production. The methodology of this investigation sets off from a qualitative explanation. That is intended to inquire into a social reality by direct approaching to the objects of study, all in an inductive way. The production of information techniques were based on primary or direct sources. For that, instruments of data acquisition of the research and the interview were used. The technique of data analysis used in this investigation is the Grounded Theory.Results: The results presented in this article clearly show the difference between the typology of trans-boundary women and how porteadoras have the most complicated situation from the women in this group. Also, researching about them, an stablished profile of this women can be settled.Discussion or Conclusion: After the research and analysis process, the article concludes highlighting this real situation on the borders that take place while governmental institutions, in charge of regularization and border control, are ignoring the situation of porteadoras on the Spanish-Moroccan border.

Introducción: Este artículo aborda algunas de las estrategias de movilidad más relevantes empleadas por las trabajadoras sexuales que ejercen en el sector, dentro de los niveles estándar –mujeres que ofrecen servicios cara a cara con clientes finales, hombres, y que no pertenecen al segmento de lujo–, con el fin de afrontar la crisis económica que persiste en España desde el último tercio de la década anterior.Método: La investigación se sustenta en una perspectiva epistemológica interpretativista, desarrollada mediante metodología cualitativa, de marcado carácter etnográfico, y apoyada en materiales procedentes de un trabajo de campo multi-situado en diversos contextos, espacios y establecimientos de la provincia de Almería.Resultados: Los resultados consideran las especificidades del territorio almeriense, dada la numerosa presencia en algunas comarcas de personas inmigradas que desarrollaron una apreciable economía étnica, que incluye servicios de ocio y afectivosexuales. Entre esos resultados destacamos una intensificación de la movilidad geográfica de las mujeres, particularmente en busca de nuevos nichos laborales que les permitan el acceso a nuevos clientes. También se observó una relevante movilidad funcional, bien por cambio de espacio –calle, clubes, pisos...– y forma de gestión del trabajo –dependiente de terceros, autónomo, colaborativo…– bien por modificación de estatus. Asimismo se pudo constatar una apreciable movilidad laboral entre ramos, con ingresos y re-ingresos en el sector, de mujeres que habían abandonado esos trabajos o lo iniciaron por primera vez en su vida laboral.Discusión o Conclusión: Las conclusiones a las que se llega ponen de manifiesto múltiples estrategias de supervivencia y continuidad en el sector del sexo por parte de las trabajadoras, y cómo aquéllas pueden emerger al considerar el trabajo sexual como una actividad económica más. Así, la investigación cualitativa, en particular la etnografía, se nos muestra como una metodología adecuada para abordar este sector. Introduction: This article discusses some of the most relevant mobility strategies employed by sex workers who practice in the sector, within the standard levels -women that offer face to face services with men who are end customers and do not belong to the segment of luxury-, in order to tackle the economic crisis that persists in Spain since the last third of the previous decade.Method: The research is based on an interpretive epistemological perspective, developed through qualitative methodology, with marked ethnographic character. It is supported by material obtained from a multi-sited fielwork in various contexts, spaces and establishments in the province of Almeria.Results: The results consider the specificities of Almeria territory, given the large presence in some regions of immigrants who developed a significant ethnic economy, including consumption of leisure and affective-sexual services. Among these results we emphasize an intensification of the geographical mobility of the women, particularly in search of new employment niches that allow them access to new customers. A relevant functional mobility was also observed, either due to space changing -streets, space, clubs, flats, etc.- and form management -dependent work of others, autonomous, collaborative, etc.-, either by changing their employment status. We could also note a significant labor mobility between branches of the economy, with women enteringing or re-entered in the sector. Women who had previously left those jobs or who initiated it now for the first time in their labour life.Discussion or Conclusion: The conclusions we have reached reveal multiple survival strategies and continuity in the sex sector by the workers, and how those can emerge when considering sex work as part of an any economic sector. Thus, qualitative research, including ethnography, appears as an appropriate methodology for analyzing this sector.

Desde siempre los viajes, se dotan de un matiz masculino: en el imaginario colectivo occidental es el héroe, y no la heroína, el que sale de viaje para vivir las más variadas aventuras. La pregunta entonces es ¿qué pasa cuando la mujer que tendría que quedarse en su hogar esperando el retorno de su hombre, decide salir y construir su propio itinerario? Se trata de intentar construir un mapa alternativo para revisar el tópico occidental que hace bueno el mito de que las mujeres no salen, de que las mujeres solo esperan. En el trabajo de investigación que he realizado me he ocupado de las mujeres italianas emigradas a Egipto, en particular de las mujeres de las aldeas de Calabria, de la Marche y de la comarca del Friuli que se fueron para trabajar de nodrizas, de niñeras y de amas de llaves, de bailarinas, a Egipto. La emigración de las mujeres, se puede enmarcar en un patrón de emigración primaria. Lo que resulta de interés aquí es el análisis y el estudio de como la relaciones de género se reproducen y transforman en el marco de este proceso. Desplazándose, como veremos en el caso de nuestras emigradas, esas mujeres abren una puerta, cruzan un umbral, una frontera y, en ese movimiento, en ese pasaje sucede algo, no es solo el Mar Mediterráneo lo que se cruza. Ellas, como veremos, probablemente cruzan fronteras desconocidas hasta entonces entre lo masculino y lo femenino, entre el deseo y la realidad, entre la libertad y la necesidad a largo plazo), transitan por un camino desconocido que se vuelve bien difícil y que no se sabe con precisión donde lleva, porque los viajes de las mujeres, como nos aclara Dinora Corsi no tienen retorno.Palabras clave: Mujeres, emigración, género, margen, centro.Abstract: In the collective mentality of Western culture, it is often portrayed that the one who leaves home or emigrates is male and usually, young and unmarried. Common perceptions even at academic level have ignored the fact that women also leave home on their own. Women also have embarked on migratory paths, searching for a better future for themselves and for their children. That is what happened between the end of the XIX and the beginning of the XX century, to some Italian women, of which this ethnography deals. They were often unmarried women but also married women, coming from small villages of the North as well as from the Centre and the South of Italy Those women emigrated to Egypt, and settled in Alexandria and also Cairo. This was a time when the country was passing through a period of widespread prosperity and an artistic-cultural expressiveness.The emigration of women has had an impact in three main areas: the family of origin, the community of origin the place of employment To these three fields, for ethnographic analysis, it is essential, to add the context of 'belonging,' to the country of emigration. The aim is to bring to light previously unknown life-stories, which serve to question an entire social establishment, as well as a symbolic that had a pre-assigned destiny for those women. I built this research around the hypothesis that those women travelers cannot return By crossing the Mediterranean, these women moved away from economic, socio-cultural and gender marginalization, which ruled their existence. Данная статья отражает этнокультурную специфику выделенных категорий мигрантов в ЕАО в указанный период. Для рассматриваемого субъекта Российской Федерации характерно удаленное положение от центра страны, приграничная близость с Китайской Народной Республикой, своеобразная история заселения края. Привлечение иностранной рабочей силы в область устанавливается в результате политики властей и в том числе нуждами частных предприятий. Государственные управленческие решения, конечно же, имеют немаловажное значение, тем не менее деятельностная сфера частных предпринимателей также играет определяющую роль в притоке трудовых мигрантов. Вследствие чего большое значение в региональной картине количественной составляющей трудовых мигрантов и в целом социально-экономической и общественно-политической сферах имеет комплексный результат. Объективные факторы, актуализирующие миграционные процессы в Еврейской автономной области: низкая плотность населения, процессы депопуляции и оттока населения, дефицит трудовых ресурсов. При написании исследования использовались компоненты методологии полевой этнографии, а именно: включенное наблюдение, опрос респондентов, запись полученного материала в полевой дневник. Выделены основные категории мигрантов с учетом разных уровней их адаптации: первичной адаптации (временные трудовые мигранты, студенты, туристы) и адаптации, предусматривающей интеграцию в местную этносоциальную среду (мигранты-соотечественники, вынужденные переселенцы, мигранты, прибывшие для создания или воссоединения семьи). Анализ имеющихся этнографических материалов, статистических сведений и архивных документов позволяет в настоящее время охарактеризовать динамику миграционных процессов в ЕАО, категории мигрантов и специфику их адаптации в принимающем обществе, современный срез этнической культуры национальных меньшинств и субэтнических общностей рассматриваемого субъекта федерации. This article presents the main categories of migrants in the Jewish Autonomous region in the late 20th — early 21st century. The Specifics of the development of modern migration processes in the Jewish Autonomous region (EAO) determine factors such as the remoteness of the region from the center of Russia, its border location, a special history of organization and development as a subject of the Russian Federation. The policy of attracting migrants to the region is determined not only by the government but also entrepreneurs. Their activities in this sphere are no less important than the adoption of state administrative decisions. Accordingly, it is a complex set of factors that forms the regional picture of labor migration on the socio-economic and socio-political environment, and which is not as predictable. Because the JAR is on the border with almost half a billion population of China, the decision of the migration, demographic and social issues is of strategic importance not only for the region, but also for the whole Russia. To collect research materials, the authors used the following methods of field ethnography: observation, interviewing informants, fixing ethnographic data and documents of local authorities, culture institutions, and current archives. The JAR population comprises a number of different categories of people: voluntary migrant labor, countrymen, students, tourists, visitors to relatives, and internally displaced persons (in most cases they are citizens of Ukraine). The authors note that the active processes of ethno-cultural differentiation in this field suggest an increase in variability of ethnic and cultural identities and, as a consequence, the need for better alignment of mechanisms of regulation of interethnic communications in recognition of the diversity of cultures. It has a significant impact on demographic and socio-economic situation in the field of migration, as it creates labor market, household daily life, and intergroup relations. Each separate category of migrants need adaptation or integration of different kinds. Therefore, the migration processes are chosen as the main aim for this publication.

Émile Durkheim's sociological term 'anomie,' which indicates normlessness or a state of norm resolution, is the theme of this ethnographic study. The purpose is to analyze how intelligence and operational personnel in the various border authorities in Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania describe the category "Russian criminals" and which discursive patterns cooperate with the construction of the category "norm-dissolving Russian." Multiple forms of empirical material were analyzed in this study: observations and photographs taken during the field work (718 field hours), interviews (73), documents produced by intelligence and operative personnel, and media coverage concerning intelligence and operative actions. This ethnography explains how police and border guards in the Baltic Sea area reinforce in-group bonds, develop a professional identity, and come to understand the moral aims of their work: by contrasting themselves against the constructed threat of Russian criminals, spies, and military invaders. Intelligence and operational police and border guard work is a practice in which the work from the first moment is characterized by an abstract threat, justified by considering that the stability of society can be transformed into instability if crime is not fought. Police officers and border guards in this study are constructed as key figures in the struggle to prevent the resolution and preserve the current state of society, which is portrayed as stable and better – at least if we speak with intelligence and operative police officers and border guards. From time to time, a "criminal" from Russia has a key role in the performance of law enforcement's fluctuating morality, with the threat of norm resolution coming from Russia and attenuation of the threat based on the representation of effective law enforcement. The media reporting on intelligence and operations, as well as the documentation that was created by the authorities involved in the fight against crime in the Baltic Sea area, call out the "criminals" from Russia by their absence. The media report on syndicates from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania who commit crimes in Sweden and Finland. In documents created by the intelligence and operational personnel, it is reported that more than 700 individuals had been suspected or convicted of a crime in any of the European countries. Most are citizens of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. The picture presented in the interviews is different. Actors in this study produce Russians as the leading criminals in the Baltic region. Russian criminals are represented as organizers and leading figures in various types of crime. An informant's story is constructing a symbolic reality where law-abiding and conventional actors strive to maintain stability in the normative order, in this case referring to the crime that comes from Russia. This reality is partly an expression of fear and solidarity against norm resolution in the form of crime from Russia, and expressions of social development that raise the need for a contra-group to strengthen feelings of solidarity in the norm-stable societies.The identity-based symbolism that informants are constructing in their stories is based on the current and stable normative state of society. ; Citation for published version : Basic, G. Este artigo parte das tensões envolvidas no processo de remoção do mercado de rua do centro de Porto Alegre/RS e sua realocação para um shopping popular, construído através de uma Parceira Público-Privada (PPP). Privilegia-se a abordagem etnográfica, baseada numa inserção de campo de mais de três anos, que permitiu captar o processo em perspectiva diacrônica. A transição das ruas para o camelódromo foi acompanhada de perto pela empresa construtora, doravante responsável pela sua administração, que exigiu uma mudança na sensibilidade comercial, a partir de uma política de pedagogização, visando forjar novos perfis de comerciantes, algo indispensável ao sucesso econômico do empreendimento. Como consequência, novas modalidades de conflitos emergem diariamente dessa estratégia, pois, nem todos os camelôs se reconverteram no protótipo de lojista idealizado pela PPP. As tensões em torno desse processo permitem reconstituir os nexos entre economia e política, micro e macro, agentes e instituições que configuram o social. Palavras-chave: Mercado Informal. Camelôs. Parceria Público-Privada FROM STREET VENDORS TO SHOP OWNERS: the transition from street markets to a mall in Porto Alegre Moisés Kopper This article starts off from the tensions involved in the process of removing the street Market from downtown Porto Alegre/RS, Brazil, and moving it to a popular mal built through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP). We gave preference to an ethnographic approach based on over three years of insertion if the field, which allowed us to capture the process from a diachronic perspective. The transition from the streets to the mall was closely followed by the construction company, that demanded a change in commercial sensibility from a pedagogical perspective with the aim of creating new profiles for the shopkeepers, something that was essential for the economic success of the investment. As a consequence, new conflicts emerged daily from this strategy, since not all street vendors became the prototype of shopkeeper idealized by the PPP. The tensions around this process allowed us to reconstruct the connections between economy and politics, micro and macro, agents and institutions that shape the social. Keywords: Informal Market. DE CAMELOTS À COMMERÇANTS: la transition d'un marché à ciel ouvert à un centre commercial à Porto Alegre Moisés Kopper Les tensions dues au processus d'élimination du marché à ciel ouvert dans le centre de Porto Alegre/ RS et de son transfert vers un centre commercial populaire, construit grâce à un partenariat publicprivé (PPP), sont à l'origine de cet article. On y privilégie une approche ethnographique faite à partir d'une insertion sur le terrain pendant plus de trois ans, ce qui a permis d'en saisir le processus dans une perspective diachronique. La transition de la rue vers le "camelotdrome" a été suivie de près par l'entreprise de construction dorénavant responsable de sa gestion. Ceci exigeait un changement de sensibilité commerciale grâce à une politique de "pédagogisation" pour créer un nouveau profil de commerçants, condition indispensable à la réussite économique de cette réalisation. L'une des conséquences est que de nouveaux types de conflits surgissent tous les jours de cette stratégie, car tous les camelots ne se sont pas reconvertis selon le prototype du commerçant conçu par le PPP. Les tensions autour de ce processus permettent de reconstituer les liens existants entre l'économie et la politique, micro et macro, les agents et les institutions qui forment le social.
