AbstractEnvironmental and climate concerns have made corporate environmental management a raging topic for discussion among academicians and industrialists. The current study explores the association between corporate environmental management and firm performance; and examines the influence of different performance measurement methods and sample characteristics on this association. The meta‐analysis, homogeneity test, and publication bias test have been performed on 318 effect sizes from 117 studies. The results indicate a significant positive association between the overall corporate environmental management and firm performance association. The findings suggest a significant influence of the nature of the data, corporate environmental management measures, corporate performance measures, region, economic development, time phase, nature of data, and period of study in the given context. The findings will help managers to better understand and choose the appropriate corporate environmental management measures to attain internal and external efficiencies.

AbstractThe Department of Defense and the Navy have adopted policies to implement Environmental Management Systems (EMS) in accordance with
Executive Order 13148 by December 31, 2005. The Navy has published a draft guidance document identifying the content of a compliant EMS structured
around five major components and 16 elements within those components. However, the full benefit of an EMS in motivating behaviors that go beyond
compliance and directly show environmental contributions to mission accomplishment and readiness will not be achievable with a conventional EMS
solely oriented toward management of the four environmental program pillars. We recommend that the EMS interconnect both the compliance and voluntary
activities of environmental management with the business cycle (the set of iterative activities an organization uses to develop, deliver, and
support its products and services) and the measures of success that characterize both types of processes within the enterprise. © 2003

Se presenta a continuación la investigación realizada al restaurante Relitos Grill & Beer para la elaboración del diseño del Plan de Manejo Ambiental del restaurante donde se identificaron aspectos e impactos ambientales resultados de las actividades. Se inició con la investigación de la legislación ambiental vigente para el marco normativo del Plan de Manejo ambiental, se realizaron visitas frecuentes que permitieron recopilar la información necesaria para la caracterización de los aspectos e impactos ambientales, de acuerdo a esta información se generó una matriz que permitió identificar el mayor impacto generado donde se analizó las estrategias de mitigación, control y compensación que se implementan durante el diseño de un Plan de Manejo Ambiental. ; The design of an Environmental Management Plan brings together in detail the activities that are generated by the development of a project, which product of an environmental assessment are aimed at preventing, mitigating, correcting or compensating the impacts and environmental effects caused by the continuous development of a project, work or activity. The investigation carried out to the restaurant Relitos Grill & Beer for the elaboration of the design of the Environmental Management Plan of the restaurant where aspects and environmental impacts of the activities were identified. It began with the investigation of the current environmental legislation for the regulatory framework of the Environmental Management Plan, frequent visits were made that allowed gathering the necessary information for the characterization of environmental aspects and impacts, according to this information a matrix was generated that It allowed identifying the greatest impact generated where the mitigation, control and compensation strategies that are implemented during the design of an Environmental Management Plan were analyzed.

The current literature lacks an integrated and holistic understanding of what drives and inhibits the environmental management practices (EMPs) of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), despite the large number of studies carried out in the area. In order to offer a nuanced understanding of the existing inventory of reported works on SMEs, this study provides a systematic literature review. Based on three theories (i.e., institutional isomorphism, the resource-based view and contingency), the study uses descriptive and thematic content analytical tools to find triggers for (i.e., external and internal) and barriers to the adoption of EMPs by SMEs. The analysis shows that both coercive pressures (especially legislation and customers' demands) and internal resource capabilities serve as significant triggers for the adoption of EMPs by SMEs. This study also finds internal organisational barriers, including lack of resources, acting as the main barriers. Both descriptive and thematic content analysis suggests several avenues for future research in this area.

Mass gathering events is very common in India due to which there have been various instances which has made certain negative impact on our environment. Kumbh Mela is one of the largest mass gathering event on the earth. It is one of the most important and sacred festival which is celebrated four times in 12 years on the banks of river Ganga (Haridwar), river Shipra (Ujjain) . River Godavari ( Nashik) , and at the confluence of rivers the Ganges, the Yamuna, and the mythical Sarasvati( Prayagraj). This time it has taken place at Prayagraj. This paper studies the water and Sanitation management and impact on the environment before and after Kumbh Mela 2019 at Prayagraj with the help of relevant data of that event collected. Moreover, it discusses what steps have been taken by the government to curb the ill effects of the place of event to be held with the implementation of new technologies like Geo-tubes and Bio-Remediation. The study shows that there were proper arrangements for the Sanitation with use of 1.22 lakhs Eco-toilets along with 20,000 dustbins. Moreover, solid waste was properly managed at most of the locations with the help of Tipper vehicles which carried the solid waste to the treatment plants. Several new STPs were installed to manage the waste generated. ; A mass-gathering event abbreviated as MG is usually defined as the assemblage of people in large numbers at a particular location for some purpose (WHO, 2015). Realisation of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) will provide improvements to people's lives and longevity of the planet. The architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) sectors have a potentially huge role in aiding the delivery of many SDGs; however, there appears to be a lack of research into the engagement within this sector. The leading environmental management system (EMS), ISO 14001, can enable organisations in the AEC sectors to improve their business operations, whilst minimising their impacts on the environment and improving society. Therefore, the study sets out to use institutional theory to determine the usefulness of ISO 14001 as a tool within the AEC sector and to demonstrate how the organisational benefits could facilitate the delivery of the SDGs. A stepwise PRISMA review process facilitated the compiling of academic articles and professional reports (n = 44), which enabled the creation of an inventory of the perceived benefits (n = 85) and the recognised barriers (n = 63) to implementing ISO 14001 across the AEC sectors. These barriers and benefits were confirmed by environmental practitioners as being relevant to the incorporation of an EMS. The most widely reported benefits within the AEC sectors were improving environmental performance and compliance with legislation. Lack of government pressure and lack of expertise were the most widely reported barriers, followed by cost to AEC organisations utilising an EMS. Following on from this inventory of benefits, it was possible to develop of a conceptual roadmap, which illustrates where linkages exist with the SDGs. SDG 4, 8, 12 and 13 are shown as exhibiting the most associations with the benefits. This roadmap was reviewed by AEC sector professionals who confirmed its usefulness. Therefore, it is surmised that the roadmap could aid strategic organisational sustainable planning or for organisations to demonstrate the delivery of their corporate social responsibilities. ; N/A

The global industrial world is significantly impacted by technological advancements, necessitating the establishment of regulations to enhance organizational implementation inside companies and attain optimal objectives. The norms of management accounting provide the provision of precise information for strategic and tactical decision-making in management. The objective of this study is to analyze the direct and indirect impact of accounting, environmental management, and strategy on company innovation. The study will also consider research and development activities and company size as control factors. Primary data will be used for the analysis. The sample size for this study consisted of 155 employees. The investigation involved collecting 112 samples using the Slovin formula. The analysis approach employed was multiple linear regression analysis. The study findings indicate that all variables exert a favorable impact on firm innovation. Therefore, the utilization of environmental management accounting and the execution of strategies in a reputable company will result in multiple innovations and strategies, including the reduction of product waste pollution, mitigation of global warming impacts, heightened awareness of minimizing environmental costs that may harm the environment, and the creation of new prospects for producing impeccable quality products.
