These four nations showcase the state of Islamism as a political force in the Middle East. Because of differing political circumstances in each state, the impact and viability of following Muslim law varies. In order to best explain why this is so, we will explore the political background of each nation, as well as discuss the current political climates of the countries in question. Finally, we will postulate as to what type of impact the ascension of an Islamic government will have on relations with the Western world, whether it be European nations, as is the case with Turkey, or the United States, as with Kuwait, Jordan and Egypt. The implications of this possibility are enormous; therefore, we feel that the importance of understanding the region cannot be overstated.
Approved in 1984, the Education Improvement Act introduced programs to recognize and foster superior performance, identify and improve poor performance, and enhance student achievement. The Legislature supported this reform effort through an increase of one cent in the state sales tax.

Patterns of defaecation by free-living eastern grey kangaroos Macropus giganteus and red-necked wallabies M. rufogriseus were studied by following animals and recording defaecations directly. For both species, rates of defaecation measured in this way were higher than previous measurements made on captive animals. Eastern grey kangaroos rarely defaecated while resting, but did so often during the first hour or two after their midday rest period; females defaecated more often than did males. In both species, defaecations tended to fall in bouts, with two or three in fairly quick succession.

Not Available ; Fish curing is one of the oldest industries of the coastal areas of India. It has been estimated that about 50 to 70% of the marine fish catches of India are at present being processed into cured products (Government of India Publication, 1951 a and b). Though fish curing is of this magnitude, it is one of the least developed industries of India, although efforts are being made in some of the maritime States such as Madras, Travancore-Cochin and Bombay, to improve curing by providing better facilities to the fishermen engaged in the industry. The methods practised are generally primitive and the attention paid to cleanliness and sanitation leaves much to be desired. Only 17-3% of the total fish landing is being cured through the Government fish curing yards (Government of India Marketing Report, 1951), the rest being processed in private yards which are not under the supervision of Government agencies. ; Not Available
