Kemerovo region significantly differs from the neighboring regions in the political sphere. For nearly two decades, the region has demonstrated a high degree of support for the United Russia party. Other political parties, both parliamentary and non-parliamentary, enjoy less support than in the rest of the country. The purpose of this article is to study the dynamics of youth activity as candidates for deputies of the Council of People's Deputies of Kemerovo Region. The data were obtained from the official website of the Election Commission of Kemerovo region – Kuzbass by monitoring the election results of 2008, 2013 and 2018 campaigns. During the three electoral cycles, there has been an increase in the number of young deputies in the regional parliament.
A journal article on the political participation of Asians in the Rhodesian political matrix. ; This study is intended as a preliminary statement. Material used in this study is drawn mainly from interviews* with various people, mainly Asians,1 * 3 and from primary source materials — the documents of some of the Asian organizations and in the possession of some Asians in Rhodesia. The first basic premise is that the Asian community's perception of its priorities stems from the fact that the amelioration of any disabilities suffered by it or the redressing of injured rights as perceived by it has had first priority, with the proviso that more often than not Asian organizations have cast their requirements in national terms, i.e. in terms of rights for all .citizens rather than any special safeguards for it as a community. The second basic premise in this brief study is that a clear unanimity of views and tactics on specific issues within the Asian community cannot be expected — nor has been historically evident.

Examines the role of extracurricular activities in predicting adult political behavior, controlling for personality characteristics & political attitudes that potentially select people into both extracurricular & political participation, using data from the senior cohort of the High School & Beyond Survey (begun in 1980). Logistic regression models are employed to predict voting (N = 6,353 respondents [Rs]), working for a political campaign (N = 6,342 Rs), donating money to a campaign (N = 6,339 Rs), & attending a political gathering (N = 6,346 Rs). Also explored is the issue of measurement error in the indicators for personality characteristics & political attitudes. Instrumental extracurricular activities, eg, student government, positively predict political involvement in early adulthood, net of self-efficacy, sociability, political interest, political awareness, & community leadership attitudes. Personality traits & political attitudes only partially account for the association between extracurricular activities & some forms of political participation in adulthood, indicating that extracurricular participation does play a role in developing political engagement. 1 Table, 20 References. Political activity is a type of social activity displayed by citizens. Observations and research indicate that gender can be a factor which conditions its degree and forms. Apart from biological gender, which shapes the societal roles of women and men, additional factors that are supposedly responsible for their activities include elements of the system of beliefs (i.e. acknowledged political values, conviction that political activity has an importance, level of satisfaction with democracy, as well as individualism and collectivism understood as an element of individual's mentality). The impact of those factors on the degree of unconventional political activities among women and men is the subject of surveys which were conducted in 2004, 2010, and 2014 on a group of 1048 students from Polish universities. The received results show that differences in political activity between surveyed men and women, as well as varying determinants in both groups, are slowly fading away. The most important predictors of women's political activity include: conviction of its significance in democracy, and (dis)satisfaction with the way it functions.
