The idea of social capital allows scholars to assess the quality of relationships among people within a particular community and show how that quality affects the ability to achieve shared goals. With evidence collected from 69 villages in India, Krishna investigates what social capital is, how it operates in practice, and what results it can be expected to produce. Does social capital provide a viable means for advancing economic development, promoting ethnic peace, and strengthening democratic governance? Abstract Farm succession is a process socially built from the preparation of the successor and the farm to meet a family business' expectations. This study aimed to identify how social capital, absorptive capacity, and socioeconomic characteristics influence farm succession. The survey was conducted sampling 82 soybean and corn Brazilian farmers. The questionnaire measured socioeconomic characteristics, Absorptive Capacity (AC), and Social Capital (SC). To test the influence of AC, SC, and socioeconomic characteristics on farm succession, Spearman correlation coefficient (rs) was performed. Results showed that the absorptive capacity can influence farm succession through acquisition, assimilation, use, and transformation of external knowledge into decision making, supporting the definition of successors. Results also suggested that social capital plays an important role to form relationship networks, stimulating discussions, and supporting the designation of successors. The socioeconomic characteristics 'percentage of family income from the farm, participation in courses and lectures, and being a cooperatives member' also presented a significant positive correlation with farm succession. Issues related to the capacity to absorb external knowledge, social and symbolic capital and generational transference can be fundamental in the continuity of the family farming business.
In recent years, studies on social networks have begun to become more and more numerous in the literature, with scientists showing a real interest in an influential analysis that they have on societies. Social networks are tools through which political candidates have the opportunity to distribute their political message during election campaigns, as well as outside them, to a growing audience. A very strong connection has been made between technology and communication, outside of which we, as individuals, can no longer exist, the virtual space managing to exploit communication in all its aspects. Online political communication, an easily accessible form of manifestation that attracts disinterested political groups, offers the possibility of avoiding information bottlenecks for citizens by changing content in real time, with low information costs, which means a real advantage for politicians. The importance of social networks in political communication is even greater as its role is the main channel of communication and occupies a special place in election campaign strategies. The present study aimes to analyze the phenomenon of social networks in terms of the benefits it offers to politics, through an online political communication with content transmitted in real time, without time limit and with low costs.

Based on archival materials, the migration processes associated with the reception and accommodation of the evacuated population in the largest regions of the Upper Volga region, such as the Gorky region and the Chu-vash ASSR, are analyzed. The relevance of the presented topic lies in the fact that the author is one of the first to make an attempt to consider the evacuation process in the Volga region from the standpoint of social history and historical psychology. This approach is actively used by historians in the study of migration processes that took place during the Great Patriotic War in other regions of the USSR (Urals, Siberia). The main difficulties that arose in the resettlement of refugees and the ways to solve them are shown. Documents are being introduced into scientific circulation that have recently been classified. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that the psycholog-ical state of a refugee played an important role in the social adaptation at the new place of residence. It is pre-cisely the lack of psychological aid and assistance that caused rejection of new living conditions among part of the evacuated population, hindered the establishment of labor activities, and contributed to the emergence of conflict situations with the local population. The practical significance of the study lies in the fact that the study and use of the Soviet experience in the evacuation of the population will help in planning evacuation activities in today's time, for example, in the context of Special Defense Forces or other emergencies.

Sociology is a social science that studies society and the individual in perspective of society. Percentile, growth rate and charge are used to justify it.Most popular information technology skills at the moment are internet (Computer networking). According to a release dated September 19, 2006, the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and IMRB International, Internet users in India have reached 37 million in the month of September 2006, up from 33 million in March 2006. During the same period the number of "Active Users" has risen from 21.1 Million in March 2006 to 25 Million in September 2006. "Active User' is an internationally accepted and widely used category to define users who have used the internet at least one in the last 30 days.India has been facing serious cyber threats these days. These include threats from cyber espionage, cyber terrorism, cyber warfare, etc. Governments can facilitate these processes by taking legislative measures that ensure human rights are protected online just as they are physical spaces.

Stories are shared by millions of people online every day. They post and re-post interactions as they re-tell and respond to large-scale mediated events. These stories are important as they can bring people together, or polarise them in opposing groups. Narratives Online explores this new genre - the shared story - and uses carefully chosen case-studies to illustrate the complex processes of sharing as they are shaped by four international social media contexts: Wikipedia, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. Building on discourse analytic research, Ruth Page develops a new framework - 'Mediated Narrative Analysis' - to address the large scale, multimodal nature of online narratives, helping researchers interpret the micro- and macro-level politics that are played out in computer-mediated communication
"Timothy D. Taylor's Making Value gathers the author's recent writings that expand upon anthropological value theory in the study of cultural production and consumption. These essays cover the creation and exchange of value in a wide range of contexts, from indie rock scenes and early non-Western music recordings, to the effects of supply chains, value-seeking practices of trendspotters, value within musical performance as a medium, and more. Drawing from literature in anthropology, ethnomusicology, philosophy, and economics, Taylor not only highlights the history of value in these instances, but also emphasizes how value is used in practice. Through the essays in this book, Taylor argues that theorizing value in music aids us in moving beyond "the music itself" to attempt to understand what is meaningful and valuable to those who make and listen to it."
