This article examines relationships between media content, public opinion, and foreign policy in the United States and the United Kingdom. The investigation proceeds in two stages. First, an agenda-setting analysis demonstrates a strong connection between the salience of foreign affairs in the media and the salience of foreign affairs for the public. Second, two potential effects of varying issue salience on foreign policymaking are examined: (1) issue priming and (2) policymakers' reactions to issue salience. Analyses rely on a combination of U.S. and U.K. commercial polling data and the American National Election Study. Results point to the importance of mass media and issue salience in the relationship between public opinion and foreign policy.

The right to strike has been recognised in France, even as a right guaranteed by the Constitution, since 1946. Strikes in the public sector are subject to specific legal regulation, including requirements for minimum notice periods and, in some circumstances, minimum service requirements. This contribution examines these special legal features of public-sector strikes. It is necessary to clarify the respective roles and responsibilities of the management of public enterprises (or administrative authorities) and the government. The article also considers alternative (and new) forms of collective action and agreements. In the future there may well be even greater scope for the regulation of strikes to be covered by collective bargaining.

Islam establishes a welfare society. It obligates the society
to make arrangements for need-fulfilment of all citizens. The Islamic
economy working with the market and non-market institutions and guided
by Islamic values meets the personal and public needs of its people. The
market system in a secular economy under appropriate conditions can
efficiently meet personal needs of the people; however, it fails to do
so in case of public goods. While supplementing the market system with
other institutions, the Islamic economy manages to supply optimal
quantity of the public goods. The paper studies this issue in the light
of the Qur'an, the Sunnah, and Islamic history. I

With the waves of evolution in genomics and genomics technology, the 21st century has experienced a surge in human and pathogen genome sequencing both at the clinical and public health care levels. These latest efforts have led to what is commonly referred to as "precision public health," which is a multidisciplinary field that incorporates genomics, artificial intelligence (AI), and big data to help predict the healthcare outcomes of an individual and improve the general population's health. To individualize healthcare at the clinical and public health levels, research efforts have seen the emergence and utilization of technology in the management of healthcare. Despite precision public health being ascribed as a highly promising tool that could help provide solutions to many public health problems in developed societies, how this turns out in developing nations is yet to be established. This study applied an analytical cross-sectional study design and aimed at assessing challenges and enablers of PPH in Nigeria using genomic surveillance with an objective of understanding the challenges, establishing the influence of data integration methods on the attainment of PPH, the influence of health equity on the attainment of PPH and identifying the influence of health policies. The empirical literature review and cross-sectional study design were used with SPSS 23, and the visualization of data was done using the Microsoft Excel 2019 software. The study findings illustrated that more than 52% of the respondents have heard about precision public health, with 56.4% of the respondents disagreeing with the equitable distribution of technological infrastructure to support data management. A high proportion of the respondents agree that the government can implement PPH in Nigeria. However, a slightly higher proportion of the respondents (46.2%) disagreed on the role of the private sector in establishing PPH across private health facilities and the need for political goodwill to support the implementation of PPH in Nigeria. In conclusion, PPH can help improve disease prevention strategies, treatment, and control efforts if appropriately implemented, and the study recommends a need for African studies to aggregate, analyze, visualize, and make available high quality for PPH to be more effective than traditional public health.

This study aims to explore whether an introductory undergraduate course in Public Administration might be an appropriate educational tool for enhancing public service motivation (PSM) among undergraduate students. A quasi-experimental design involves surveying participants both before and after the intervention (taking an Introduction to Public Administration course) to examine whether their levels of PSM increase as a result of the intervention. The hypotheses were tested by comparing 96 students exposed to an intervention (experimental group) with 166 students who were not exposed (control group). There was no significant change in the total score of PSM and its individual dimensions before and after the intervention in both groups, and so the Introduction to Public Administration course was not effective in enhancing the level of PSM. The implications and limitations of this quasi-experiment are also discussed.
