The article analyses and interprets Watchmen by Moore, Gibbons and Higgins in
comparison with its movie adaptation directed by Zack Snyder. The hypothesis is that
there is an observed phenomenon metaphorically called "half-life of atomic bomb", during
which the theme of the fear of the A-Bomb is gradually rinsed out of the popular/mass
culture. This case study is to be treated as an introduction to further inquiry into the topic
based on a wider selection of texts.

Marc Crépon est directeur de recherche au Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS) et directeur du département de philosophie à l'École normale supérieure (ENS), Paris, France. For centuries, languages have been the backbones of political spaces and creative subjectivities. Languages identify cultures, grant nationalities and define the limits of authority. However, the 21st century is defined by a normal coexistence of several languages in shared spaces. Reality urges us to challenge a monolingual spirit that hinders our social, political, cultural and personal evolution. At the same time, rapid engagement with globalization was not accompanied by adjustments in modes of regulation. External and internal factors have contributed to the current crisis which cannot be resolved without a ma/or overhaul in the national system. It requires total changes in the paradigm and culture.

This article explores stylistic and demographic commonalities in American dance film through the curatorial lens of American Dance Festival's Movies by Movers, an international dance film festival. While calling into question how the dance film community can be more aware of the culture created on screen by makers and presenters, I reveal instances of representational disparity found in American dance film while examining the relationship of dance film to ideologies perpetuated by mass media and the world of professional dance.

The aim of the article is to present the jurisprudence of the Human Rights Committee on Article 27 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights concerning the rights of persons belonging to ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities. Therefore, the study examines the underprivileged position of minorities within States and focuses on their will to survive as a distinct culture. Examination of the aforementioned caselaw provides an insight into the Committee's understanding of the concept of cultural identity.
