Food science and technology education has been running since four decades in Nepal. There is a very slow improvement in the profession. The job opportunities have always been threatened by insiders and outsiders. Academic institutions, government agencies, and food industries themselves are responsible for the quality of food science professionals. Novel and practical methods of teaching should be followed. The government and private organizations should facilitate the recruitment of food technologists. Constant prodding needs to be done for the establishment of a Council with more authority that could monitor all bodies associated with food science professionals.

Based on the dynamic nature of the Ghanaian society, teacher training has become a major concern for all. Successive governments have formulated policies to improve quality education at this level. One of such policies is the Education Act of 2008 that made provision for a Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) curriculum in the Colleges of Education (CoE). The study aimed to examine how this curriculum was transacted with emphasis on methods and approaches adopted by the tutors. So, a descriptive survey design was adopted for the study and drawn needed data from the College author principals, tutors, student-teachers and Regional Directors of Education by using tools such as questionnaires, and group discussion. The collected data from the experts were analyzed by using Mean and SD while data from the student-teachers were presented qualitatively. It was found that tutors use a variety of teaching methods to teach the various categories of courses viz., Educational and Professional Studies, Core courses and Elective courses. But a few of such teaching methods like Lecture and Brainstorming were inappropriate for teaching courses such as Physical Education, ICT and Mathematics. It was also found that teacher trainees were exposed to first-hand teaching experience through practice teaching in two phases. Thus on-campus practice teacher and out-campus practice teaching.

Something remarkable and of historic importance took place in New York during the first two weeks of September, 1975. At a Special Session of the United Nations the poor countries of the world, who have 70 per cent of its people and 30 per cent of its income, demanded that the rich, countries make some major changes in the international system. And the rich countries, including the United States, responded in new ways. Most reporters failed to notice how remarkable the events were, but the evidence is there.

Along with the nations created by states, there are "internal nations" within states. Several such nations exist within the Canadian state, representing close to one quarter of the population. In recent years, Canadian political scientists have been actively theorizing this multinationalism & showing how it might be accommodated. Yet, the political realm has become highly resistant to such notions. Dualism, the primary historical accommodation of the francophone "internal nation," has been displaced by a state nationalism which, in turn, has entrenched a purely territorial rationale for federalism & has made multiculturalism the only legitimate basis for accommodating cultural diversity. Moreover, the nationalisms of the two predominant "internal nations," Quebec & "First Nations," have been mobilized in direct opposition to each other. In the end, rather than constituting a new form of 'post-modern state" which transcends nationalism, Canada is in fact caught in the contradiction between the nationalism of the Canadian state & the nationalisms of its "internal nations.". This paper aims to explore the effects of the pandemic on future mobility aspirations, as COVID-19 pandemic induced disruptions in overall educational experience and international mobility. The authors assess whether the hardship caused by the pandemic has affected Croatian upper secondary school students' international migration intent and aspirations for studying abroad. To that cause, authors combine three large-scale nationally representative studies conducted in the pre-pandemic (2017), pandemic (2021) and late-pandemic (2022) period. The results indicate that the number of days school spent in remote learning proved modestly associated with lower intent to migrate or to study abroad in 2021. However, contrary to expectations drawn from literature, the prevalence of intent of moving abroad remained persistent compared to pre-pandemic, while aspirations for studying abroad increased. The expected moderation effects of students' socio-economic background on migration intent during the pandemic and school closure, failed to materialize, except for migration intent in 2021, when having tertiary-educated parents proved more advantageous. In line with recent Eurobarometer surveys, our analysis imply little evidence of long-term devaluation of mobility capital among Croatian upper secondary students, as the moderators throttling mobility aspirations have likely receded.
