The Podlaskie voivodeship is popular among foreigners, especially citizens of Belarus, as a place to live and work. Thus, it has become essential to recognize the effects of this process on the local labor market. This study's main objective was to present selected economic aspects of employing foreigners in the Podlaskie voivodeship; it accomplishes this by analyzing available publications and statistical data. The article commences by indicating selected economic consequences of foreigners taking up employment in a host country's labor market. It shows the scale of foreigners' employment and distinguishes the numerous national groups taking up employment in the Podlaskie voivodeship, including their employment structure. The study also indicates the employment of foreigners in the deficit professions of the Podlaskie labor market. It concludes by indicating selected economic reasons and benefits of employing foreigners in this market.

The topic of self-interest raises large and intractable philosophical questions–most obviously, the question "In what does self-interest consist?" The concept, as opposed to the content of self-interest, however, seems clear enough. Self-interest is interest in one's own good. To act self-interestedly is to act on the motive of advancing one's own good. Whether what one does actually is in one's self-interest depends on whether it actually does advance, or at least, minimize the decline of, one's own good. Though it may be difficult to tell whether a person is motivated by self-interest in a particular instance, and difficult also to determine whether a given act or decision really is in one's self-interest, the meaning of the claims in question seems unproblematic.My main concern in this essay is to make a point about the content of self-interest. Specifically I shall put forward the view that meaningfulness, in a sense I shall elaborate, is an important element of a good life. It follows, then, that it is part of an enlightened self-interest that one wants to secure meaning in one's life, or, at any rate, to allow and promote meaningful activity within it. Accepting this substantial conception of self-interest, however, carries with it a curious consequence: the concept of self-interest which formerly seemed so clear begins to grow fuzzy. Fortunately, it comes to seem less important as well.InReasons and Persons,Derek Parfit distinguishes three sorts of theories about self-interest–hedonistic theories, preference theories, and what he calls "objective-list theories."Hedonistic theorieshold that one's good is a matter of the felt quality of one's experiences.

Significant gaps remain between public opinion and the scientific consensus on many issues. We present the results of three studies ( N = 722 in total) for the development and testing of a novel instrument to measure a largely unmeasured aspect of scientific literacy: the enterprise of science, particularly in the context of its social structures. We posit that this understanding of the scientific enterprise is an important source for the public's trust in science. Our results indicate that the Social Enterprise of Science Index (SESI) is a reliable and valid instrument that correlates positively with trust in science ( r = .256, p < .001), and level of education ( r = .245, p < .001). We also develop and validate a six question short version of the SESI for ease of use in longer surveys.

L'étude de la promotion dans l'entreprise permet, à la différence des études générales de mobilité sociale, de découvrir les voies réelles d'ascension. Une analyse de ces phénomènes impose qu'on connaisse la structure hiérarchique de l'entreprise et ses modifications incessantes, qu'on distingue la promotion proprement dite, c'est-à-dire l'accès à un pouvoir accru, et ses substituts, et qu'on prenne conscience des critères employés réellement pour la promotion selon les niveaux hiérarchiques.

Abstract. The following research focuses on universal value analyses and lingvocultural analysis. It primarily focuses on the innovation, in that the concept of linguistic analysis has been combined with the concept of text. Furthermore, this method raises the work's theoretical level. These values therefore have an impact on how citizens are motivated to act as citizens and how their acts as global citizens are validated. Values serve as social action regulators. According to some researchers, education tends to lead to emancipation. "Universal value" refers to uncritically copying the value system of another country, supporting so-called "western" "freedom, democracy, equality, and human rights," among other ideals, while ignoring the originality and specificity of their own growth. It promotes itself as the universal ideals of human society, then goes on to criticize China's contemporary political structure. It is directly intended at promoting a political discourse and system with a strong stamp of western institutions, which is wrapped in academic language and transmitted through academic discourse. Universal values are supra-individual regulators of activity in society. Their image is a composite representation of certain values, which are reflected in the scientific public consciousness and the public consciousness of ordinary speakers of the national language and culture. Being a powerful personal resource, values also act as a basis linking the individual and society. Values perform a socializing function, because they are reproduced in the cultural structures of society, determine the consciousness of generations. This research is based on the idea that the real reality perceived by a person in the process of objective activity is reflected in the consciousness of an individual in the form of temporal, spatial and causal connections of phenomena and objects. In this regard, the model of linguistic consciousness can be represented by a certain set of associations, with the help of which a carrier of a certain culture acquires an idea of a fragment of the image of the world. Introduction. Both inside schooling and throughout society, education promotes, amplifies, and transmits values. Individuals will operate within society as a result of their values motivating them to take acts that they consider worthwhile. Individuals' actions may be influenced by society's emphasis on values, which may be influenced by social pressure to comply or social affirmation of good ideals. Research methods. The translation of values, the meaning of valus, the essence of the concept, the excessive length, complex phrases are inconvenient, with an excessive number of English values. Results and discussions. It is very important for a lingvoculture to work with a specialist in the field from the beginning to the end of the translation development process. There are good reasons for this. Bilingual dictionaries are more practical than textual content. For dictionaries of practical translation, the functional value of the term is important, that is, the user must be able to use the dictionary in order to understand a certain value in the correct context, understand it from a communicative point of view and understand it herself. Conclusion. In terms of idea, language and its intended use are extremely crucial to examine in the context of mass media. For the time being, any of us must be active in the process of communication.

The paper describes the scope of the legal consequences of plagiarism among students in terms of copyright. The main question is connected with the scope and nature of the copyright protection against plagiarism. The issue is related to the specificity of the social role played by a student and to certain customs in the university community which enforce a certain behaviour and do not always require detailed references to the sources used. All university students have administrative and legal liabilities with regard to the university authorities, and in addition they bear full civil liability for their actions

Introduction. The article examines the social transformation of state-confessional relations, its historical aspect, positive and negative trends of their evolution in the conditions of the formation of modern Russian society. The object of the study was the socio-philosophical aspects of some provisions of the economic model based on the principles of Islam as one of the traditional denominations of the Russian Federation. Theoretical analysis. The theoretical foundations of this issue in the paradigm of classical Muslim thought are given, as well as examples of their application in the modern socio-economic field of Russian regions. The philosophical justifications of the considered models of social relationships are analyzed from the standpoint of Islamic theology. Conclusion. The result of this work is the conclusion that the use of the potential and developments based on the socio-philosophical aspect of Islamic theology can serve as a positive experience of the inclusion of Islamic models in the all-Russian socio-economic field. This vector of development is designed to make progress in the spheres of life of the Russian society. And at the same time, the integration of the denominational aspect into the paradigm of socio-economic development of Russia has a special role to play.

The article examines the issues related to the provision of social services to the elderly in their home environment. The author of the article examines the practice and evaluates its effectiveness and impact on the lives of senior citizens. The article discusses the main types of in-home services, including medical care, assistance with tidiness and personal hygiene, as well as social support. The importance of the practice of in-home social services for the elderly is emphasized. It has been found that this practice allows senior citizens to maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life, as well as prevents social isolation.

This article reveals the important practical importance of academic cooperation between legal doctrine and achievements of technical laboratories in terms of defining &ldquo;points of growth&rdquo; in questions of digitalization of law and development of legal tools aimed at regulating the technogenic factor on the one hand and legal support of &ldquo;game-changing&rdquo; results in a in the conditions of digital economy on the other hand. The important role of the transformation of social regulators, designed to regulate the &ldquo;infrastructural&rdquo; and &ldquo;institutional&rdquo; incorporation of &ldquo;digital&rdquo; technologies into the existing legal system, is noted. The current place of the Russian Federation on readiness for the digital economy is subject to, among other things, insufficient theoretical study as a result of the regulatory framework, which often does not act as a platform for growth, but rather contains many gaps - which have to be overcome at the expense of law enforcement practice. The article notes that the trend of &ldquo;digitalization&rdquo; of Russian law is closely linked to the need to maintain the ecosystem of the digital economy and to identify &ldquo;growth points&rdquo; and enforce their urgent character based on the state&rsquo;s resource base, defines a positive agenda for &ldquo;digitalization&rdquo; of Russian law and raises a number of questions for the Russian science. It is concluded that one of the topical issues in the framework of the &ldquo;digitalization&rdquo; of Russian law is legal robotics, which is perceived as the automation of workflows, the existence of interrelated algorithms of actions aimed at generating a predictable result based on some initial simulated and prescribed situation and maximum robotization of legal processes. Using the example of the Kazan Federal University, which proclaimed the promotion of innovative development of the focus areas of the Russian Federation as one of its missions, the achievements obtained as a result of the interaction of legal doctrine and technical laboratories are revealed.

Sometime in the future, I hope that there will be published an exhaustive account of one of the most revealing episodes in the recent history of our two countries. I refer to the propaganda for and against the proposed development of a great navigation and power project on the International Rapids Section of the St. Lawrence River.Doubtless other political movements in our history have a public significance even greater than that of the St. Lawrence seaway. But the St. Lawrence project probably offers to historians, to political scientists, and to economists, a more illuminating study of the way in which our democracies act, or fail to act, under the drives of conflicting pressure groups and of conflicting social philosophies than does any other political controversy of recent years. This is true because the underlying motives of the people who have taken part in the fight for this project are more clear-cut and less camouflaged than those involved, say, in controversies about the protective tariff, or about the merits of American isolationism versus interventionism in international affairs. So broad is the significance of this case study in the realm of economic and social motives— so critical is its import for our democratic way of life—that I shall return to it later even at the expense of cutting short my comments on the merits of the St. Lawrence project itself.
