PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to suggest that business group (BG) networks act as conduits for diffusion of information and resources pertaining to internationalization. It considers three types of BG networks arising from three different types of ties- director interlock, direct equity, and indirect equity. In particular, it examines the effects of cohesiveness of these BG networks on the diffusion of internationalization within a BG.Design/methodology/approachDrawing on social network perspective, it is hypothesized that, for each type of network, cohesiveness enhances within-BG similarity of the extent of internationalization. An empirical investigation is conducted on a sample of 55 Indian BGs for the period 2009-2013.FindingsResults support all the three hypotheses, suggesting that higher level of cohesiveness leads to higher level of within-BG similarity of the extent of internationalization, for all three network types.Originality/valueFindings of this study contribute to the BG literature by examining the effects of BG network cohesiveness on the diffusion of internationalization within a BG, for three types of BG networks.
Botoh (voice brokers) in the areas of Central Java and East Java have an important role in winning the candidates carried out in the lowest level general elections (pilkades). Solid strategies in the selection of candidates are not responsible for the method of funding, surveying, and control of dominance held in the image of society. General Election of Village Heads in Sotabar Village, Pasean Subdistrict, Pamengkasan Regency is an arena for strong power shows in winning the candidates they carry. Many conflicts occur in the pilkades because of differences of opinion, struggles for power and interests. Between the election of village heads (pilkades) and the political dynamics between botoh, petahanats and the community. The findings of the data show that Botoh has an important role associated with the search for candidates to win. In addition, botoh is a person who has the legitimacy of power in society, the experience of freedom in the world of photography and high relations with political officials. When political practices were implemented, Botoh implemented mobilization by reading the conditions of the community and carried out carefully in the three groups approved by the clerics, santri and abangan through the team provided. Even in the winning process, it is through some political dynamics with other actors that cause conflict. This conflict is triggered by the relationship between slaughterhouse and petahanat related to unbalanced authority and leadership that is not in line with the expectations of the community.
The problems in this study are: (1) Does the Performance of the State Civil Apparatus affect the Quality of Service in the Village Administration Section of the District of Pesawaran District (2) Does the Discipline of the Civil Service affect the Quality of Service at the Government Division of the Regional Secretariat Village Pesawaran Regency(3) Does the Performance and Discipline of the State Civil Apparatus jointly influence the quality of service in the Village Administration Section of the Pesawaran Regency Regional Secretariat.This research uses analytical survey method. This study aims to analyze the influence between the variables studied, namely state civil apparatus Performance (X1), Discipline (X2), improve service quality (Y) in this study used quantitative research types to verify the research hypothesis. These methods and techniques were chosen because they allow a more extensive study of the influence of the research variables.The results showed that there was a significant influence of both state civil apparatus performance and state civil apparatus discipline on service quality in the Village Administration Section of Pesawaran District Regional Secretariat, the greatest influence of state civil apparatus performance variables and state civil apparatus discipline was state civil apparatus Performance variable which was 69.03 percent or was in the high category , state civil apparatus discipline is 67.96 percent, or it is in the sufficient category. Based on the results of the study, that the contribution of state civil apparatus Performance variables and state civil apparatus discipline to service quality, is in the quite good category but not yet optimal. This is due to the relative lack of work facilities and the absence of optimal application of regulations, so that employees have not been able to carry out their duties optimally, which results in suboptimal quality of service in the Village Administration Section of the District of Pesawaran District
This study seeks to conduct a critical analysis of the vision and practice of PoliticalIslam held by the leading Islamic parties in Indonesia, the National Mandate Party (PAN), theNational Awakening Party (PKB) and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). Strategy and themethods adopted by the three parties are not always based linearly with Islamic style. Theanalysis will be directed at explaining their adaptive actions and changes in response to theconcrete political realities and developments. Political Islam will be placed in the context notonly in terms of identity and ideological elements but also in its intersection with efforts toachieve the targets of political power and success in general elections both in a short-termand a long term. The authors believe that the theme of Political Islam is very interesting after observingthe phenomenon of national politics especially since 2017. Strengthened Islamic identitysentiment over the past two years through the National Movement of Guarding MUI Fatwa orGNPF-MUI has undeniably attracted more public attention. Political mobilization against thecase of blasphemy by the Governor of Jakarta at that time had opened crucial political spaces.Thus, the struggle for identity politics in Indonesia has become more dynamic and furtherstudy or research is highly needed. The development of the Islamic party in Indonesia to acertain degree shows the irony and paradox.
Background While failure in social marketing practice represents an emerging research agenda, the discipline has not yet considered this concept systematically or cohesively. This lack of a clear conceptualization of failure in social marketing to aid practice thus presents a significant research gap. Focus This study aimed to conceptualize failures in social marketing practice. Methods A qualitative survey was conducted using purposive sampling to solicit expert views of well-established social marketing academics and practitioners. Participants were asked to discuss failures in social marketing practice based on their experience in the field. A total of 49 participants provided their input to the survey. Thematic analysis was used to develop four themes addressing the research question. Importance It is widely acknowledged that reflecting and learning from past failures to promote future best practices is desirable for any discipline. As an empirically based social change discipline, social marketing would benefit from the elevation of failure within its broader research agenda. Results Four themes were identified: (1) Failures occur when the target behaviors are not achieved, (2) Tactics used to measure failures, (3) Process failure, and (4) Failures either not measured or reframed as lessons learned. A conceptual framework was created to characterize the nature of failures in social marketing practice, representing a feedback loop deemed problematic for the discipline. Recommendations We call for social marketers to explicitly acknowledge and address failures when describing and reporting on their work and project outcomes. Efforts should be made to adopt a reflexive stance and examine and address internal and external factors affecting the program's failures.
The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The use of this method is to describe the Organizational Environment in Support of Organizational Performance at the Library and Education Service of West Lampung Regency, qualitatively examining how all data is obtained directly from informants in the field using interviews and document studies. The results showed that the organizational environment at the Department of Library and Education of West Lampung Regency is one of the causes of success in carrying out a job, because the organizational environment can affect workers, especially the organizational environment that is psychological in nature. The organizational environment at the West Lampung Regency Library and Readiness Service aims to provide maximum work comfort, so that employees in providing quality services, in the sense that if employees work and the results of the work get appreciation and recognition, then the work must be of quality. Supporting and inhibiting aspects in an effort to improve the organizational environment at the Library and Readiness Office of West Lampung Regency. These aspects can occur both internally and externally to the organization. Internal factors include elements contained in the body of the organization, namely the Library and Readiness Service of West Lampung Regency. Then the external factors of aspects that come from outside the West Lampung Regency Library and Readiness Service, such as local government, relevant agencies and the community. This occurs because a good organizational environment has been strived for, but it has not materialized as expected because there are still employees who are not fully comfortable with the existing organizational environment, such as air circulation, noise in the workplace.
The implementation of Government Regulation Number 39 Year 2018 regarding Protocols in the Protocol and Communication Section of Leaders is still not going well, this is because there are still many protocol staff who do not understand the rules of the Protocol itself and are still based on existing customs. That can be an obstacle in the service of protocol in the Protocol and Communication Section of the Head of the Regional Secretariat of West Lampung Regency. The research approach uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The results showed that the implementation of Government Regulation Number 39 Year 2018 on Protocol in the Protocol and Communication Section of the Head of the Regional Secretariat of West Lampung Regency was still not going well because of the inhibiting factors, namely inadequate Human Resources in the field of protocols as well as facilities and infrastructure tasks. protocol that has not yet fulfilled capacity.
This study aimed to examine the determinants of purchase behaviour in online mobile game. This study was conducted based on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology second version (UTAUT2) with additional customization and advancement. Partial Least Square Structural Equation Model (SEM-PLS) was applied to examine this research model. The samples were collected using online surveys to the users of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and then there were 457 respondents obtained. The result of this study revealed that performance expectancy, payment ability, hedonic motivation, price value, habit, customization and advancement had a positive effect on purchase intention, and the intention also had a positive effect on actual purchase. However, it was found that effort expectancy and social influence did not significant on purchase intention. The result of this study can be used as a reference for game develovers so that in-game purchases can be accepted by users.
The aim of this research is to describe a design of Makassar tidak rantasa' program and its implementation strategy. The type of this research is a qualitative descriptive by choosing people who have the knowledge and information about the Karang Anyar District's problem in order to coordinate and government strategy handling program Makassar tidak rantasa'. The result of this research is a program that has aim to change society mind set to pure life. There is a jargon to realize this program, that is LISA, MABELLO, Makassar Free of Garbage and I and my school is not slovenly. Besides that, some activities that change a society mind set to pure life are hallway garden, community service, socialization, and the exchange garbage free movement. The essence of local government in an area is to provide services to the community both in terms of quality and quantity, which means that the government as a public servant is required to "perform" well so that it has an impact on increasing community satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy on public satisfaction at the Menggala District Office, Tulang Bawang Regency, either partially or simultaneously . The data collection techniques in this study were observation, questionnaires and documentation. The population in this study amounted to 58 people. The research method uses associative descriptive method. In this study the authors used qualitative and quantitative data analysis.In general, the results of this research are as follows: 1) Tangibles have a positive effect on public satisfaction at the Menggala District Office, Tulang Bawang Regency, 2) Reliability has a positive effect on public satisfaction at the Menggala District Office, Tulang Bawang Regency, 3) Responsiveness has a positive effect on public satisfaction at the Menggala District Office, Tulang Bawang Regency, 4) Assurance has a positive effect on public satisfaction at the Menggala District Office, Tulang Bawang Regency, 5) Empathy has a positive effect on public satisfaction at the Office Menggala District, Tulang Bawang Regency and 6) Tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance and empathy together have a positive effect on public satisfaction at the Menggala District Office, Tulang Bawang Regency.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan kemacetan transportasi perkotaan yang diakibatkan tingginya jumlah kendaraan dari para pengguna alat transportasi itu sendiri. Menanggapi permasalahan tersebut Kementerian Perhubungan mencanangkan program pengembangan angkutan umum berbasis jalan salah satunya pengadaan Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) untuk wilayah Kota Mataram dan sekitarnya. BRT Kota Mataram yang disebut juga Bus Trans Mataram merupakan salah satu jenis model angkutan umum yang efisien, aman, nyaman dan terjangkau dengan daya beli masyarakat. Bus Trans Mataram ini mulai beroperasi pada tanggal 21 November 2016 yang memiliki 4 rute. Pertama, di dalam kota, kedua dari pinggiran timur kota, ketiga dari pinggiran utara kota dan keempat, sayang-sayang hingga jalan Lingkar Selatan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Penelitian Kualitatif merupakan penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan dan mendeskripsikan peristiwa maupun fenomena yang terjadi di lapangan dan menyajikan data secara sistematis, faktual, dan akurat mengenai fakta-fakta atau fenomena yang terjadi di lapangan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan Teknik Observasi, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi. Peneliti menggunakan Triangulasi sumber untuk mengecek keabsahan data penelitian. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tiga komponen yang terdiri dari Reduksi data, Penyajian data, dan Penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan ini menunjukan bahwa implementasi kebijakan pengoperasian bus Trans Mataram Metro di Kota Mataram belum berjalan secara efektif. Hal ini berdasarkan dari kurangnya sosialisasi, tidak konsistennya implementor, tidak adanya ketegasan pemerintah daerah, tidak tersedianya anggaran operasional yang memadai dalam mengimplementasikan program, dibutuhkannya kontribusi dari Dishub Kota Mataram di bidang angkutan. Sedangkan untuk indikator, besarnya biaya yang dibutuhkan dalam pemenuhan biaya operasional, terjadi penurunan jumlah penumpang, dan masih terdapat ketidaksesuaian kualitaas pelayanan pada bus Trans Mataram Metro. Oleh karena harus adanya pembenahan dari lembaga-lembaga terkait mengenai pengoperasian Bus Trans Mataram Metro sehingga berjalan sesuai dengan rencana yang telah ditetapkan. Abstract This research is motivated by the problem of urban transportation congestion caused by the high number of vehicles of the users of the transportation itself. Responding to the problem, the Ministry of Transportation has launched a road-based public transportation development program, one of which is the provision of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) for the City of Mataram and surrounding areas. The Mataram City BRT, also called the Trans Mataram Bus, is one of the types of public transportation models that is efficient, safe, comfortable and affordable with people's purchasing power. The Trans Mataram Bus starts operating on November 21, 2016 which has 4 routes. First, in the city, second from the eastern suburbs, third from the northern suburbs of the city and fourth, unfortunately to the South Ring Road. This study uses a qualitative method. Qualitative research is research that aims to describe and describe events and phenomena that occur in the field and present data systematically, factually, and accurately about facts or phenomena that occur in the field. Data collection is done by Observation, Interview, and Documentation Techniques. Researchers use source triangulation to check the validity of research data. Data analysis in this study used three components consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this research indicate that the implementation of Trans Mataram Metro bus operating policies in Mataram City has not been effective. This is based on the lack of socialization, the inconsistency of the implementor, the lack of firmness of the local government, the unavailability of an adequate operational budget in implementing the program, the need for contributions from the Transportation Department of Mataram in the field of transportation. As for the indicators, the amount of costs needed to meet operational costs, a decrease in the number of passengers, and there are still mismatches of service quality on the Trans Mataram Metro bus. Therefore there must be improvements from relevant institutions regarding the operation of the Trans Mataram Metro Bus so that it runs according to the plan that has been set.
This study seeks to analyze the transformation of the political Islam movement carried out by the PKS (Prosperous Justice Party) and Justice and Development Party AKP (Adalet ve Kalkinma Partition), Turkey, by tracing the general pattern of similar strategies adopted by them, including differences that arise in both parties. PKS and AKP are major Islamic parties in the world that have so far successfully fought in electoral competitions. How to make use of their mass base and Islamic sentiment in liberal parliamentary struggle is a tactical step that characterizes the political Islam movement. Comparison will be made to find the common thread concerning Islamic-style populism with the electoral strategy they use. Political Islam can ultimately be understood not only from the categories of morality, ethics, or religion, but also on the objective category based on political realism.The authors believe that this theme is important and interesting after examining the development of identity political movements that have occurred not only in Indonesia but also in several other countries in the world in the last 10 years. Analysis of the AKP and PKS must, however, be understood in two aspects, namely, first, a cross-over between liberal democracy and Islamic activism, and secondly, the tendency to change the political strategy of the Islamic party. The interplay between the interests of electoral achievement and the ideological vision is a big and dynamic dilemma.Of the various methods available, the research team in this study used qualitative research methods. Data is obtained through a literature review or study of relevant literature such as books, journals, news websites, or thesis or dissertation works. The author's temporary hypothesis is that first, PKS and AKP have political linkage in three things, first, the political vision of Islam which is heavily influenced by the Muslim Brotherhood movement, second, the construction of civil networks and organizations, and the three, electoral strategies and compromise on liberal democracy. PKS and AKP are in turn conditioned by a number of compromises and political pragmatism. Both are forced to adapt substantially in terms of changes in party models to be more open and plural. Thus, there is a convergence between political Islam and the flow of liberal democracy based on the typical political situation in Indonesia and Turkey. The differences that arise are the political Islam platform of AKP is significantly influenced by the trajectory of Islamic tradition which has long been rooted in the sociological pattern of its society and the economic platform of neoliberalism that has been adopted and applied aggressively by the AKP since its reign in Turkey.
