Theevapotranspirationestimationtooldevelopedindicatesthatthewatershedwaterbalanceisindeficit.Thecropping&irrigationchoicesarenotappropriateandneedtobealteredtoshiftthedeficitwaterbalance. Theestimatedrunoffavailabletouseis145mmforanaverageannualrainfallof776mm(2009-2017).Theutilizablegroundwateris49.7mm(70%of71mmrechargeestimated).Thismeansthetotalavailablewaterresourcecombiningthesoilmoisturestoreforkharif&rabi(338mm)andutilizablerunoffplusrechargeis533(=338+145+50) Theaverageactualevapotranspirationestimatedinthewatershedbasedonthecurrentlanduseandirrigationpracticesforthekharifandrabiseasonsis529mm.Hencetheamountofwateruseforkharifandrabiseasonsmaybeestimatedas661mm(i.e.125%ofAET).Thisdemandforthetwoseasonsishigherby128mm,i.e.(661-533).TheAETinJune-Septmonthsisonly60%ofrainfall.Hence,thereisagoodopportunitytoharvesttheexcesswaterthroughwatershedmanagementpracticesforutilizingduringrabiseason.
