蹂닿굔븰怨 ; Background: The Korean healthcare system is composed of costly and inefficient structures that fail to adequately divide the functions and roles of medical care organizations. To resolve this matter, in November 2011 the government reformed the cost-sharing policy for the management of outpatients visiting general or tertiary hospitals with comparatively mild diseases. Purpose: This study aims to examine the impact of the changes in coinsurance on medical utilization for 52 mild diseases compared with 65 mild diseases to which the policy did not apply. Methods: The present study used health insurance claim data collected from 2007 to 2013. To examine the effect of policy, we compared 52 mild diseases to which the policy applied and 65 mild diseases to which the policy did not apply to determine the proportion and number of claims and the medical and drug costs. This study adjusted for factors that affect medical utilization and then segmented regression analysis was performed. Results: The analysis comparing the 65 mild diseases found that the percentage and the number of claims of clinics after the policy intervention increased, and that of general and tertiary hospitals decreased. Total medical expenses increased in all medical institutions overall, and the increase was greater in hospitals and general and tertiary hospitals than in clinics. The drug cost decreased in all medical institutions overall, and the decrease was greater in general and tertiary hospitals than in clinics and hospitals. Analysis of detail groups by income level did not find a difference in accordance with the policy intervention. Conclusion: It was found that policy intervention had an impact on healthcare utilization of medical institutions. In the future, much research will be needed in terms of patient medical results and quality management of medical services caused by changes in the medical institutions chosen by patients with mild cases. ; open ; 諛뺤궗

The Constitutional Court of Korea, which should be a product of the June Democracy Movement in 1987, has transformed Korea's constitutionalism ever since its inception. The recent two impeachment cases decided respectively in 2004 against President Roh and in 2017 against President Park might be classic examples of how the state institutions including the Court interact with other institutions in a very political case in terms of political dynamics. In the impeachment case against President Roh, the Court positioned itself strategically by establishing the 'grave violation of law' rationale, where it sided with the impeaching parliament by finding three counts of violations of law but dismissed the case in its entirety through the operation of the 'grave violation of law'. In the impeachment case against President Park, the Court basically followed the grave violation logic but reached a different conclusion to remove the President, which might be another strategic position taken by the Court, which is in line with the will of the super-majority of the Korean public. This paper aims to discuss how the Constitutional Court has developed its strategic position in terms of political dynamics, by analyzing the two presidential impeachment cases.

This paper examines the effects of major funding projects for graduate education in Korea, specifically the BK21 and the WCU programs, on the research productivity of professors and young researchers. We apply the standard DID method, which compares the increase in research outputs as measured by papers per year between groups before and during the project period. The DID estimates show that the effects are quite different for different fields, but they mostly indicate that the BK21 project is more effective in terms of the research productivity of the participating professors, especially those who study science and engineering areas. With regard to the productivity of graduate students, the results show that there was an increase in the research productivity of locally educated Korean doctoral degree holders after the graduate funding programs, mainly in natural science and engineering fields.

He increasing interest to the one-actor theatre in Korea is caused by the existence of the pansori, a ballade performed by narrator to the accompaniment of a drum, in the Korean folk tradition. Nowadays, the Korean folk performance tradition is widely used by directors in contemporary monodramas. The article analyzes two performances: "The Byeoksok Fairy" (director - Sohn Jin chaek, actress - Kim Sung nuy) by Bae Sam Sik, a well-known Korean dramatist, which uses the traditions of the Korean folk performance madan nori; and the "Mother Courage and Her Children" (director - Nam In woo, actress - Yi Ja ram) by Bertolt Brecht, staged in the pansory style.

This study was designed to explore the learning mechanism and its treasures within an undocumented migrant workers' voluntary community in Korea. Based on a qualitative case study, major findings suggest that various modes of learning mechanisms acted as crucial foundations of the community's diverse learning paths and participants' social engagement. Four mechanisms steered the community towards a sustainable learning environment: constructiveness, communicativeness, collective autonomy and practicality. Through these, unauthorized migrants were able to have their "voices" heard in the wider society. These learning treasures have implications for both theory and practice, and for empowering underprivileged groups. They could also widen the horizon of understanding human learning in an informal learning context.
