A review essay on a book by Roberto Unger, The Critical Legal Studies Movement (Cambridge, Mass: Harvard U Press, 1987 [see listing in IRPS No. 47]). Unger describes the critical legal studies movement as having ushered in a paradigm shift in the analysis of law. This work is organized around two themes: (1) a critique of traditional analyses of law; & (2) suggestions for change. Elements for a critical "legal manifesto" are suggested. 32 References. F. S. J.
