A recent notion, the education of the people presents itself as an aspect of social formation, aimed at the assurance of institutional functionality by the integration of individuals into the collective. However, education having a praxis in which ends and means are interdependent, its modes of operation logically induced an end to its function. In fact, the education of the people arranges itself on an original conception of political thought not only as a place, but also as a specific moment dedicated to the regulation of all that is collective. The mechanism of civic abstraction endures, but it applies itself to concrete situations in which the individual is engaged, and by a reflection that is fundamentally discursive. Thus designed in the form of general democracy and dialogue, wherein the political is decentralized and reduced, but where the decision taken in common following deliberation remains the structure favored by the collective. However, procedural and discursive democracy has its limits, in the sense that it claims to be founded in a substantial body of values that confer it legitimacy. Adapted from the source document.
