Este trabajo investigativo fue posible gracias a la convergencia de diferentes estudios que se han centrado en observar la infancia como una fuente de información para las Ciencias Sociales. Es decir, se estableció un constante diálogo entre infancia, historia y memoria, a través del uso de los relatos de vida de tres adultos mayores colombianos del departamento del Quindío, con edades entre los 80 y 83 años. Estos relatos permitieron recuperar una experiencia de infancia que vivió un momento histórico para Colombia, como lo fue la época de la violencia bipartidista en los años 40 y 50. Metodológicamente, esta investigación se soportó en un enfoque biográfico que instrumentaliza el relato de vida y lo pone al servicio de la Sociología, como lo propone Daniel Bertaux. De esta manera, se pudo reconstruir el universo íntimo de la infancia, métodos de crianza, la escolaridad, los castigos, la moral, lo cultural, lo político,el papel del estado y la autoridad. Categorizar estos aspectos del pasado, según Pierre Nora, es construir una historia no oficial, pero igual de válida para reconstruir el pasado.En síntesis, ubicar la infancia en terrenos de las Ciencias Sociales, es hablar de la Sociología de la infancia. Según Regine Sirota, este concepto nace de la colaboración que hace la etnografía como articulador entre la Sociología y la Antropología, lo que el autor denomina como el giro etnográfico. En este sentido, este trabajó trasladó el giroetnográfico a la infancia del pasado, por medio de instrumentos de análisis que se dividen en ejes y dimensiones. Los primeros responden a aspectos individuales del sujeto y los segundos responden al sujeto en relación con su contexto social. ; This research work was possible thanks to the convergence of different studies that have focused on observing childhood as a source of information for the Social Sciences. In other words, a constant dialogue was established between childhood, history and memory, through the use of the life stories of three Colombian older adults from the department of Quindío, aged between 80 and 83 years. These stories allowed us to recover a childhood experience that lived a historic moment for Colombia, such as the time of bipartisan violence in the 1940s and 1950s. Methodologically, this research was supported by a biographical approach that instrumentalizes the life story and puts it at the service of Sociology, as proposed by Daniel Bertaux. In this way, it was possible to rebuild the intimate universe of childhood, parenting methods, schooling, punishments, morals, culture, politics, the role of the state and authority. To categorize these aspects of the past, according to Pierre Nora, is to construct an unofficial story, but just as valid to reconstruct the past. In short, to place childhood in the fields of Social Sciences is to speak of the Sociology of childhood. According to Regine Sirota, this concept arises from the collaboration that ethnography makes as an articulator between Sociology and Anthropology, what the author calls the ethnographic turn. In this sense, this work transferred the ethnographic turn to the childhood of the past, by means of analysis instruments that are divided into axes and dimensions. [spa] La investigación se propuso trazar un análisis comprensivo de las prácticas sociales clandestinas de la Vanguardia Organizada del Pueblo (VOP) en la experiencia de exmilitantes y excolaboradores de esta organización, en relación con el papel que esta ejerció durante su existencia (1968-1971) en el marco sociopolítico chileno. Bajo la guía de la antropología histórica los objetivos son abordados a partir del diseño de un marco metodológico de enfoque cualitativo, y desarrollados en un estudio de carácter exploratorio, con prescindencia de hipótesis de trabajo, de tipo etnográfico y uso del enfoque biográfico o de relato de vida. Las tareas se realizaron en Chile y Catalunya, y se dividieron en tres fases y cuatro etapas. La primera fase data del verano austral de 1996, momento en el cual surgió la idea de investigación. La segunda fase se extendió de marzo de 2007 a marzo de 2008 y de diciembre de 2013 a enero de 2014, y en ella se realizaron las dos primeras etapas del trabajo de campo, ambas en Curacaví y Santiago. La tercera fase abarcó de junio de 2016 a septiembre de 2019, período en el que se llevaron adelante actividades en Catalunya y se ejecutaron las etapas tercera y cuarta del trabajo de campo en Chile, en Santiago, Lampa y, esencialmente, Chicauma, este último un sector rural cercano a Santiago donde la VOP inauguró en diciembre de 1970 una comuna socialista denominada Comuna Chicauma (y que funcionó hasta junio de 1971). En el estudio se revisan algunas teorías asociadas a los fundamentos de la socialidad y la acción política de organizaciones clandestinas, al igual que se examinan los principales hechos y procesos sociales y políticos ocurridos en Chile desde 1900 hasta 1970 y que impactaron en los movimientos populares chilenos del período, y se exponen los relatos recabados en sesiones de entrevistas a exmilitantes de organizaciones de izquierda contemporáneas a la VOP y que colaboraron con esta; al exmilitante vopista Alejandro Villarroel Rodríguez, con el cual construimos su relato de vida; y a residentes actuales del sector de Chicauma. Los resultados dan cuenta de antecedentes contextuales y particulares en general desconocidos y secretos de la VOP, a partir de los cuales nos adentramos en determinados hechos y procesos sociopolíticos anteriores y posteriores al período de operatividad política vopista, en los que se van revelando fragmentos de la memoria colectiva de los movimientos populares chilenos, unos que en parte se habían convertido en secretos para sí mismos. ; [eng] The research set out to trace a comprehensive analysis of the clandestine social practices of the Vanguardia Organizada del Pueblo (VOP) in the experience of ex-militants and ex-collaborators of this organization, in relation to the role it played during its existence (1968-1971) in the Chilean socio-political framework. Under the guidance of historical anthropology, the objectives are approached from the design of a methodological framework of qualitative approach, and developed in an exploratory study, without any working hypothesis, ethnographic type and use of the biographical approach or life story. The tasks were carried out in Chile and Catalonia, and were divided into three phases and four stages. The first phase dates from the austral summer of 1996, at which time the idea of research arose. The second phase lasted from March 2007 to March 2008 and from December 2013 to January 2014, in which the first two stages of fieldwork were carried out, both in Curacaví and Santiago. The third phase ran from June 2016 to September 2019, a period in which activities were carried out in Catalonia and the third and fourth stages of fieldwork were carried out in Chile, in Santiago, Lampa and, essentially, Chicauma, the latter a rural sector close to Santiago where the VOP inaugurated in December 1970 a socialist commune called Comuna Chicauma (and which operated until June 1971). The study reviews some theories associated with the foundations of sociality and the political action of clandestine organizations, as well as examining the main social and political events and processes that occurred in Chile from 1900 to 1970 and had an impact on the Chilean popular movements of the period, and exposes the stories gathered in interview sessions with ex-militants of left-wing organizations that were contemporary to and collaborated with VOP; to former vopist Alejandro Villarroel Rodríguez, with whom we constructed his life story; and to current residents of the Chicauma sector. The results give account of contextual and particular antecedents in general unknown and secrets of the VOP, from which we enter into certain facts and socio-political processes before and after the period of vopist political operativity, in which fragments of the collective memory of the Chilean popular movements are revealed, some of which had in part become secrets for themselves.

Comprender la realidad social y los fenómenos que estudia el Trabajo Social, así como otras disciplinas afines, requiere de un riguroso análisis amparado en el método científico. En Conocer para transformar. Métodos y técnicas de investigación en Trabajo Social, el autor nos invita a reflexionar y ahondar en las múltiples posibilidades que la investigación ofrece para obtener respuestas a nuestras preguntas de investigación para transformar la realidad en el ejercicio de nuestra profesión. La obra comienza con un prólogo de la profesora de la Universitat de València, María Eugenia González Sanjuán donde anima con cálidas palabras a las personas interesadas a introducirse en la lectura del libro destacando la relevancia de los métodos y técnicas de investigación social en la disciplina del Trabajo Social. El libro prosigue con la parte introductoria elaborada por el propio autor, Albert Mora Castro, quien a través de un relato personal pone de manifiesto su recorrido profesional destacando que "estudiar Trabajo Social fue la decisión profesional más importante de mi vida. Con la ayuda de varios/as profesores/as, algunos/as de los/as cuales son hoy mis compañeros/as, descubrí el Trabajo Social profesional, su componente científico y su importante misión política y entendí que, sin esta disciplina, sin esta profesión, nuestra sociedad sería mucho más injusta, desigual e inhumana". De este modo, se presenta un manual dirigido tanto al estudiantado como a las personas profesionales del Trabajo Social escrito desde la trayectoria personal y amplia experiencia profesional y académica de Mora. El manual, está organizado alrededor de tres ejes temáticos: una primera parte donde se contextualiza la investigación en el campo del Trabajo Social y la secuencia lógica en el proceso de investigación social; una segunda parte donde se describen las principales técnicas propias del método cuantitativo; y la tercera parte referida a las principales técnicas cualitativas. Estos tres bloques, se han organizado en un total de diez capítulos conjugando teoría con ejemplos prácticos propios del recorrido profesional del autor. El punto de partida de la obra se inicia ahondando en las raíces de la investigación social en el campo del Trabajo Social, subrayando la indisoluble relación entre investigación y disciplina como un aspecto esencial en el desarrollo del ejercicio profesional de las trabajadoras y trabajadores sociales. El segundo capítulo ilustra la teoría a través de ejemplos prácticos sobre cómo desarrollar el proceso de investigación, planteando los distintos tipos de diseño y sobre cómo abordarlos a partir de estrategias participativas y biográficas, así como los tipos de investigación social. Este primer bloque finaliza con la referencia a la investigación realizada desde las fuentes documentales y estadísticas destacando tanto los tipos de fuentes secundarias, el análisis de contenido, así como las ventajas e inconvenientes de su utilización, entre otros. El segundo bloque temático relativo al método cuantitativo, se inicia dedicando un amplio capítulo a la medición en las ciencias sociales. En el caso de la medición, resulta de gran relevancia el contenido expuesto relativo al proceso de operacionalización donde el autor, argumenta las diferencias entre conceptos, dimensiones, indicadores e índices; cuestiones clave a diferenciar en el inicio y definición del proceso de investigación. Asimismo, el capítulo cuarto explica los distintos tipos de variables (según la escala de medición, el nivel de abstracción, la función en la investigación y en función del nivel de medición), las escalas de medición de las actitudes (escala de Likert, escala de distancias sociales de Bogardus, escala de diferencial semántico de Osgood y escala de intervalos de autoposicionamiento y finaliza con dos cuestiones a considerar en el proceso de medición en ciencias sociales: los errores (sistemático o constante y aleatorio, entre otros) y la validez y fiabilidad. El manual continúa exponiendo la técnica de la encuesta en el capítulo quinto, describiendo tanto sus modalidades, diseño, utilidades y fases de desarrollo. El diseño muestral introducido en el capítulo sexto presenta las bases fundamentales para la construcción del marco muestral profundizando en la definición de la población objeto de estudio, en su configuración y en el tamaño de la muestra. Igualmente, el autor dedica buena parte de dicho capítulo a la enunciación de los tipos de muestreo reflejando en cada uno de ellos tanto las diferencias como semejanzas y facilitando al/la lector/a la selección de uno u otro en función de la investigación que desee llevar a cabo. A continuación, se introduce una breve descripción sobre el análisis estadístico destacando tres cuestiones esenciales al respecto: el proceso de codificación y el diseño de la matriz de datos, el análisis univariable y el análisis bivariable. El tercer bloque temático engloba los tres últimos capítulos exponiendo a lo largo de los mismos las técnicas cualitativas relativas a la observación, la entrevista en profundidad y el grupo de discusión. En el primer caso, la observación participante es definida como técnica cualitativa, las distintas modalidades existentes y sus utilidades. Además de ello, el autor expone ampliamente cómo desarrollar esta técnica desde su diseño hasta su registro y análisis en el desarrollo de una investigación. En relación a la técnica cualitativa por excelencia, la entrevista en profundidad, el autor profundiza en su análisis desde el punto de vista de su descripción, diseño, desarrollo y análisis de la información procedente de la misma con mención especial al proceso de transcripción, codificación de la información y análisis final. En último lugar, el manual concluye con la exposición de la técnica de los grupos de discusión, profundizando del mismo modo que las anteriores, en su descripción, su diseño y en el análisis de la información. Con todo ello, Conocer para transformar, dibuja un abanico de posibilidades para abordar investigaciones sociales desde nuestra profesión y disciplina: el Trabajo Social. La recurrencia constante a ejemplos de investigación prácticos, producto de la trayectoria profesional del autor, facilita tanto la lectura como la comprensión de la teoría, acompañada igualmente de figuras y esquemas sencillos para introducirse en el ámbito de la investigación, así como para desarrollar estudios y análisis rigurosos. In Knowing to transform. Research Methods and Techniques in Social Work, the author invites us to reflect and delve into the multiple possibilities that research offers to obtain answers to our research questions to transform reality in the exercise of our profession. The work begins with a prologue by the professor at the University of Valencia, María Eugenia González Sanjuán, where she encourages interested people with warm words to get involved in reading the book, highlighting the relevance of social research methods and techniques in the discipline of Social work. The book continues with the introductory part prepared by the author himself, Albert Mora Castro, who, through a personal account, reveals his professional career, highlighting that "studying Social Work was the most important professional decision of my life. The manual is organized around three thematic axes: a first part where the research in the field of Social Work and the logical sequence in the social research process is contextualized; a second part where the main techniques of the quantitative method are described; and the third part referring to the main qualitative techniques. These three blocks have been organized into a total of ten chapters combining theory with practical examples from the author's professional career. The starting point of the work begins by delving into the roots of social research in the field of Social Work, underlining the indissoluble relationship between research and discipline as an essential aspect in the development of the professional practice of social workers. The second chapter illustrates the theory through practical examples on how to develop the research process, posing the different types of design and on how to approach them from participatory and biographical strategies, as well as the types of social research. This first block ends with the reference to the research carried out from the documentary and statistical sources, highlighting both the types of secondary sources, the content analysis, as well as the advantages and disadvantages of their use, among others. The second thematic block related to the quantitative method begins by dedicating an extensive chapter to measurement in the social sciences. In the case of measurement, the exposed content relative to the operationalization process is highly relevant, where the author argues the differences between concepts, dimensions, indicators and indices; key issues to differentiate at the beginning and definition of the research process. Likewise, the fourth chapter explains the different types of variables (according to the measurement scale, the level of abstraction, the function in the research and according to the measurement level), the attitudes measurement scales (Likert scale, scale of Bogardus social distances, Osgood's semantic differential scale and scale of self-positioning intervals and ends with two questions to consider in the measurement process in social sciences: errors (systematic or constant and random, among others) and validity and Reliability. The manual continues exposing the survey technique in the fifth chapter, describing both its modalities, design, utilities and development phases. The sample design introduced in the sixth chapter presents the fundamental bases for the construction of the sampling frame, deepening the definition of the population under study, in its configuration and in the size of the sample. Likewise, the author dedicates good part from this chapter to the enunciation of the types of sampling, reflecting in each one of them both the differences and similarities and facilitating the reader's selection of one or the other depending on the research they wish to carry out. Next, a brief description of the statistical analysis is introduced, highlighting three essential issues in this regard: the coding process and the design of the data matrix, the univariate analysis and the bivariate analysis.The third thematic block includes the last three chapters exposing throughout them the qualitative techniques related to observation, the in-depth interview and the discussion group. In the first case, participant observation is defined as a qualitative technique, the different existing modalities and their utilities. In addition, the author extensively explains how to develop this technique from its design to its registration and analysis in the development of an investigation. In relation to the qualitative technique par excellence, the in-depth interview, the author delves into his analysis from the point of view of its description, design, development and analysis of the information from it, with special mention to the process of transcription, coding of the information and final analysis. Lastly, the manual concludes with the exposition of the discussion group technique, deepening in the same way as the previous ones, in its description, its design and in the analysis of the information.With all this, knowing to transform, draws a range of possibilities to address social research from our profession and discipline: Social Work. The constant recurrence to practical research examples, product of the author's professional career, facilitates both the reading and understanding of the theory, also accompanied by simple figures and diagrams to enter the field of research, as well as to develop studies and rigorous analysis. From the professional experience of Albert Mora, the manual highlights the relevance of research in Social Work, since only with scientific knowledge as a pillar, current and future generations of social workers will be able to face the present and future challenges of our profession.

Introduction. For over two decades, Russian education has been in a state of permanent reform. Due to the long and unproductive nature of the modernisation process, researchers are paying special attention to systemic factors, noting that system optimisation processes are structured primarily around organisational and technological models derived from industry. The prevalence of the technological component over the axiological results in the consolidation of a pragmatic, narrowly functional, technocratic vector of education development. To overcome this situation and to break this deadlock, a profound reconsideration of the values underlying mechanisms of reform is required, taking into account multifaceted personal, social, national and universal relations, as well as unity of content, forms and means of education.The aims of the research were identified as follows: to analyse the current trends of modernisation in comprehensive schools and higher educational establishments; to justify humanistic mechanisms for improving the modernisation in the context of language education, which performs personally developing and socialising functions under ideological pluralism and opposition of value systems.Methodology and research methods. The research was conducted taking a person-activity-based approach, referring to cultural-historical concepts, ideas of philosophical hermeneutics and traditional principles of pedagogical methodology. The theoretical framework was based on the publications and philosophical foundations of Russian and foreign scholars, who define the key role of humanistic principles and value orientations in education. The following standard research methods were used: comparison, induction, deduction, abstraction, synthesis, specification, structural and logical modelling, content analysis of documents and scientific publications on the stated problem, observation, questioning, peer review and experiment. In addition, non-standard methods and research techniques such as metaphorical modelling, biographical method and interpretational techniques were used.Results and scientific novelty. Modernisation processes in Russian education were considered: regulatory base, purposes, priorities, problems and prospects. The following thesis was proposed: at the new stage of socio-historical transformation, it is necessary to overcome the negative effects of long-term practice in the reform of the national educational system through developing established traditions as well as updating the humanistic potential of education and ensuring its axiological enrichment. The authors consider pedagogical hermeneutics as a potentially productive means and methodological tool. Pedagogical hermeneutics implies a heuristic and poly-variable apperception of reality through education in order to understand and interpret different genres of cultural texts, providing simultaneous support both to the general public and to the individual, on the basis of rational and emotionally intelligent experience accumulated in science, religion, art, language and national traditions – i.e. culture as a whole. It was shown that language education based on principles of pedagogical hermeneutics is capable of establishing humanistic mechanisms of personactivity-based social norms and cultural models. The authors presented a number of modelling options for the realisation of the proposed hermeneutical approach: various experimentally-validated techniques, educational approaches and procedures designed by teacher-researchers were briefly described, focusing on the achievement of qualitative conformance of educational results to the humanistic appeals and urgent needs of society.Practical significance. The use of hermeneutical techniques as educational tools and procedures allows us to decode semiotic information of curricula subjects; in addition, when using meta-language, it is possible to expand the content by adding personal value-sense and dialogical subjectivity, as well as to transform it into a personal sign-symbol or behavioural template. The acquisition of language experience in the process of humanistic-centred education increases the immunity of a student to various manifestations of character defectivity, strengthening identity and resistance to manipulation of consciousness in political and ideological processes and mass media. Moreover, language experience resists the deformation of the communicative sphere and verbal-cognitive processes, encouraging personal self-realisation. ; Введение. Российское образование уже два десятилетия находится в состоянии перманентного реформирования. В комплексе причин затяжной и малопродуктивной модернизации авторы особое внимание уделяют системообразующим факторам, утверждая, что в настоящее время процессы оптимизации системы ориентированы преимущественно на организационно-технологические модели, скопированные из сферы производства. Преобладание технологической составляющей над ценностно-смысловой оборачивается упрочением прагматичного, узкофункционального, технократического вектора развития образования. Чтобы переломить ситуацию и изменить этот тупиковый для социума вектор, требуется глубинное аксиологическое переосмысление механизмов реформирования, которое должно проводиться с учетом всесторонних связей личности и общества, национального и общечеловеческого опыта, единства содержания, форм и средств обучения и воспитания.Цели изложенного в публикации исследования – обсуждение современных тенденций модернизации общеобразовательной и высшей школы; обоснование гуманитарных механизмов совершенствования образовательных процессов в контексте языкового образования, которое в условиях идейного плюрализма и противостояния ценностных систем выполняет личностноразвивающие и социализирующие функции.Методология и методы. Работа проводилась с опорой на взаимодополняющие друг друга деятельностно-личностный подход, положения культурноисторической концепции, идеи философской герменевтики и традиционные принципы методологии педагогики. Теоретической базой исследования являлись научные труды отечественных и зарубежных ученых, в том числе философские изыскания, в которых показана ключевая роль в образовании гуманитарных начал и ценностных ориентаций. Использовались классические исследовательские методы – сравнение, индукция, дедукция, абстрагирование, обобщение, конкретизация, структурно-логическое моделирование, а также контент-анализ документов и научных публикаций, наблюдение, анкетирование, экспертная оценка и опытная работа. Из инструментального арсенала неклассических методов и приемов исследования применялись метафорическое моделирование, биографический метод, интерпретационные техники.Результаты и научная новизна. Рассмотрены модернизационные процессы в российском образовании: нормативная база, цели, приоритеты, проблемы и перспективы. Выдвинут тезис о том, что на новом витке социально-исторических трансформаций необходимо преодоление отрицательных эффектов многолетней практики реформирования национальной образовательной системы посредством развития сложившихся в ней традиций, актуализации гуманитарного потенциала обучения и воспитания, его ценностно-смыслового обогащения. В качестве возможного продуктивного средства и методологического инструментария предлагается педагогическая герменевтика, подразумевающая эвристическое и поливариативное познание действительности через обучение пониманию и интерпретации разножанровых культурных текстов с одновременной опорой на общественный и индивидуальный, рациональный и эмоционально-чувственный опыт, накопленный в науке, религии, искусстве, языке, народных традициях – культуре в целом. Доказывается, что языковое образование, базирующееся на принципах педагогической герменевтики, способно запустить гуманитарные механизмы личностно-деятельностного освоения социальных норм и культурных образцов. Представлены некоторые варианты авторских моделей реализации герменевтического подхода: кратко описаны сконструированные педагогами-исследователями разнообразные, прошедшие опытно-экспериментальную апробацию методики, технологии и процедуры обучения и воспитания, ориентированные на достижение соответствия качества образовательных результатов гуманитарным запросам и насущным потребностям социума.Практическая значимость. Использование герменевтических технологий как процессуально-инструментальной основы образования позволяет декодировать знаково-семиотическую информацию учебных предметов, наполнять ее, используя метаязык, личностным ценностным смыслом и диалогической субъектностью и трансформировать в личностный знаково-символический или поведенческий текст. Приобретение языкового опыта в процессе гуманитарно ориентированного образования повышает иммунитет обучающегося к разнообразным проявлениям обезличенности, нивелирования индивидуальности и манипулирования сознанием – в частности, в политических и идеологических процессах, массовых формах коммуникации, в том числе сетевых, препятствует деформации коммуникативной сферы и речемыслительных процессов и позволяет достичь личностной самореализации.

The subject of the article is the relations between Lew Bachynsky and Kyrylo Trylovsky in the context of the Ukrainian national liberation movement of the late 19th and first third of the 20th century. The source base of the research is based on the funds of the Central State Historical Archive of Ukraine (Lviv), the Central State Archive of the Highest Authorities of Ukraine (Kyiv), the State Archive of Ivano-Frankivsk region, the autobio­graphical works of L.Bachynsky and K.Trylovsky and materials of contemporary newspaper periodicals. The methodological basis of the article is the principles of objectivity, historicism, diversity of the source base. The methods of analysis and synthesis, problem-chronological, biographical methods for studying the life and activity of a historical figure, the method of internal critique of sources are used in the work. The author of the article concludes that the relationship between L.Bachynsky and K.Trylovsky went from cooperation and friendly relations to open conflicts and political confrontation. At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries both politicians were leading figures of the Ruthenian-Ukrainian Radical Party (RURP)– Ukrainian Radical Party (URP), and in 1907–1918 became deputies of the Austrian parliament. In the early 20th century L. Bachynsky tried to influence K. Trylovsky's conflict with the office of the "Hromadsky Holos" newspaper and prevent the him from withdrawal from the party. The controversy between the two radicals began after L.Bachynsky became chairman of the URP. As a result of the escalation of the conflict with K.Trylovsky in 1910, L.Bachynsky was for­ced to resign as party leader. During the First World War, there was some easing of tensions in their relationship. However, the conflict continued during the period of Western Ukrainian People's Republic, when in 1919 K.Trylovsky split the URP and separated its own party, the Peasant-Radical Party. The last phase of the conflict between the two politicians took place during the elections to the Polish Parliament in 1928, when the Ukrainian Socialist-Radical Party "the Left" was founded on the initiative of K.Trylowski. The conflict between the two politicians was a factor that for more than twenty years played a negative, destructive role in the radical current of Western Ukrainian politics. Автор статті приходить до висновку, що взаємини Л.Бачинського і К.Трильовського пройшли шлях від співпраці та дружніх відносин до відкритих конфліктів і політичної конфронтації. На рубежі ХІХ–ХХст. обидва політики були провідними діячами РУРП-УРП, а в 1907–1918рр. стали послами австрійського парламенту. Початок суперечностей між двома радикалами було покладено після обрання Л.Бачин­ського головою УРП. Внаслідок загострення протистояння із К.Трильовським у 1910р. Л.Бачинський змушений був залишити посаду керівника партії. Конфлікт отримав своє продовження в період ЗУНР, коли у 1919р. К.Трильовський спричинився до розколу УРП та виокремлення із неї власної партії– СРП. Остання фаза протистояння між двома політиками відбулася у ході виборів до польського парламенту в 1928р., коли з ініціативи К.Трильовського було засновано УСРП-лівицю. Конфлікт між двома політи­ками був фактором, який протягом більше двадцяти років відігравав негативну, деструктивну роль у радикальній течії західноукраїнського політикуму. The article deals with the peculiarities of the national policy of the Bolshevik regime during the 1920s and 1930s in Ukraine. The main attention is paid to the mechanism of political repressions against representatives of the intellectual class of the Polish national minority in the Uman region. The article used not only problem-chronological and comparative-historical methods of research, but also the biographical method. The purpose of the work was to study and highlight the process of mass terror against the Polish intellectual class in the Uman region taking into consideration a personalized approach. It has been established that political repressions in the Uman region date back to the early 1920s, just when the policy of «localization» was introduced. At the same time, giving impact to the cultural and educational development of the national minority, the government controlled the manifestations of local nationalism. Starting from the case of «Umanska pliatsuvka» on accusation of G.Z.Yagodzinska and 26 other residents of the Uman Region, the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs periodically made arrests of people of Polish nationality. Given the previous activities of Polish intellectual class in the territory of Ukraine, the penal authorities had a convenient reason for further substantiation and investigation of the so-called «counter-revolutionary nationalist organizations». Based on a study of previously unavailable archival and investigative cases of the Departmental State Archive of the Security Office of Ukraine, the facts of mass falsifications on accusations of the Polish intellectual class of the Uman region for espionage in favor of Poland were revealed. Simultaneously with the closing up process of the policy of «localization» in 1933, political repressions gained extraordinary activity and were carried out in order to execute successive resolutions and decisions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party(b) of Ukraine, inclusive until 1938. In the territory of Ukraine and the Uman Region, in particular, the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs falsified criminal case materials mainly on the basis of the mythologization of the activities of the former Polish military organization – «PMO». In addition to the central Ukrainian cities, in particular, Kyiv, Kharkiv, the formation of this organization was also «revealed» in various regions. An archival investigative case No. 64463 on the accusation of the Uman citizens F.P.Budzylevych and others was revealed and may serve as an example. According to the decision of the Special Meeting of the People's Commissariat of Internal Affairs of the USSR of November28, 1937 P.I.Sulyma-Saliichuk and S.F.Kravchuk were executed by shooting and F.P.Budzylevych was sentenced to 10 years of labor camps. According to the of the author's study generalization the conclusion has been made of the multi-faceted historical problem, which actualizes further study and analysis of the crimes mechanism of the totalitarian communist system in national, regional and social aspects. ; Статья посвящена рассмотрению проблемы репрессивно-карательной политики советской власти и практики ее реализации относительно польского национального меньшинства в Украине в 1920-1930-х гг. На современном этапе межнационального диалога представляется актуальным формирование общих идеологических проектов, основанных на взаимоприемлемости исторического наследия государств, в отдельные периоды оказавшегося общим. Этому будет способствовать изучение и раскрытие процесса осуществления массового террора против представителей польской интеллигенции на Уманщине, что и стало целью предлагаемой работы. С помощью историко-научного анализа вскрыты многочисленные факты преступных фальсификаций событий в 1930-х гг., а также начало политических репрессий против польского меньшинства на Уманщине в 1922г. Характерным признаком политических репрессий данного периода стали фальсификации уголовных дел на членов так называемой «ПОВ» – Польской организации военной. ; Статтю присвячено розгляду проблеми репресивно-каральної політики радянської влади та практики її втілення стосовно польської національної меншини в Україні у 1920-1930-хрр. Цьому сприятиме вивчення і розкриття процесу здійснення масового терору проти представників польської інтелігенції на Уманщині, що і стало метою пропонованої праці. За допомогою історико-наукового аналізу розкрито численні факти злочинних фальсифікацій подій у 1930-хрр., а також започаткування політичних репресій проти польської меншини на Уманщині у 1922р. Характерною ознакою політичних репресій даного періоду стало фальшування карних справ на членів так званої «ПОВ» – Польської організації військової.

Regional media is an important segment of the socio-communicative model of the information space of Ukraine, which clearly identifies the vectors of ethnically and culturally identified journalism, works hard to preserve historical memory, national consciousness and civic activity of society. Their study is especially relevant in the period of modern socio-political changes associated with the development of democratization, decentralization and local self-government, which will make new adjustments to the typology, content and functions of local media.Currently, there is a growing scholars interest to the problems of regional journalism, but the culturological and axiological aspects of their study are still insufficiently investigated. This explains the choice of the research object, which were the regional media reviews, reflected in the memoirs and publicistics of the famous Ukrainian writer and public figure Oles Honchar. Recourse to such methods as content analysis, historical, systemic, biographical, axiological, statistical, made it possible to carry out a multifaceted interpretation of journalistic assessments by the writer of the spiritual potential of regional and district newspapers, through which to cover certain periods of Ukrainian journalism development of the twentieth century and reveal the writer's personal involvement in its history.Oles Honchar cooperation with the mass media lasted for more than sixty years. It was widely disclosed in his diary entries, epistolary and journalistic works of various genres. The writer's connections with the regional press are reproduced in chronological order, starting from the 1930s, the journalistic activity of young Oles Honchar in district and regional newspapers in Poltava and Kharkiv regions and ending with observations of an already experienced publicist and master of the word on the activities of local media during the years of independent Ukraine.An analysis of the congratulation-letters texts addressed to local newspapers and magazines offices indicates the broad geography of the writer's connections with the print media, reveals his vision of this type of publications concept, based on democratic and humanistic principles. Welcoming the appearance of new literary and artistic publications in the East and West of Ukraine and in the Crimea at the beginning of 90's, Oles Honchar focused his attention on their role in uniting the community around the pressing problems: preservation of historical memory and ethnic culture, functioning of Ukrainian language and respect for literary classics. ; Крайові ЗМІ є важливим сегментом соціокомунікативної моделі інформаційного простору України, що увиразнює вектори розвитку етнічно й культурно ідентифікованої журналістики, потужно працює на збереження історичної пам'яті, формування національної свідомості й громадянської активності соціуму. Auguste-Frédéric-Louis Viesse de Marmont (1774-1852) is the most famous figure in a military family whose genealogy and fame date back to the 16th century. Son of an officer of small nobility, he became acquainted very early with the young Bonaparte and fought with him at Toulon in 1793. Since then, bonds of friendship have been forged between the two comrades in arms. No academic biography has been made of this character whose background is rich and varied and whose memoirs constitute an essential testimony of the history of the First Empire. Marmont had a dazzling career and quickly climbed the ranks of the army. Together with his friend, he campaigned in Egypt, the two campaigns of Italy until becoming Governor General of the Illyrian Provinces from 1809 to 1811 and in this capacity participated in the modernization of this territory. His career continued until 1830, when he was charged with enforcing the July ordinances, a mission to which he failed and which brought his career to an end. But his name remains mainly attached to the act of treason of April 5, 1814, which marked a turning point in the history of the First Empire. Since then, the figure of the traitor has travelled through the 19th century. In this study, the question of Bonaparte's political ascension will therefore be questioned as to whether it induces that of his comrades in arms. Thus, by evoking the question of networks, biographical study makes it possible to ask the question of the nature of the relations that may exist between men of power and men of arms. The main objective of this work is therefore the following: it is a question of knowing, in a crossed dynamic, how this friendship emerges, how it has evolved since 1792 and how this military morality links the two soldiers. In this way, we will be able to update the marshal's biography; this will allow in this research to finally elucidate the question of the betrayal attributed to Marmont. ; Auguste-Frédéric-Louis Viesse de Marmont (1774-1852) est le personnage le plus illustre d'une famille de militaires dont la généalogie et la notoriété remontent au XVIe siècle. Aucune biographie académique n'a été réalisée sur ce personnage dont le parcours est riche et varié et dont les Mémoires constituent un témoignage essentiel de l'histoire du Premier Empire.Marmont connaît une carrière fulgurante et gravit rapidement les échelons de l'armée. En compagnie de son ami, il fait la campagne d'Égypte, les deux campagnes d'Italie jusqu'à devenir Gouverneur général des Provinces illyriennes de 1809 à 1811 et à ce titre participe à la modernisation de ce territoire. Sa carrière se poursuivant jusqu'en 1830, il est alors chargé de faire exécuter les ordonnances de Juillet, mission à laquelle il échoue et qui met un terme à sa carrière. Mais son nom demeure principalement attaché à l'acte de trahison du 5 avril 1814 qui marque un tournant dans l'histoire du Premier Empire. Depuis, la figure du traître parcourt le XIXe siècle. Dans cette thèse, la question de l'ascension politique de Bonaparte sera donc interrogée pour savoir si elle induit celle de ses compagnons d'armes. De ce fait, en évoquant la question des réseaux, l'étude biographique permet de se poser la question de la nature des relations qui peuvent exister entre hommes de pouvoir et hommes d'armes. L'objectif principal de ce travail est donc le suivant : il s'agit de savoir, dans une dynamique croisée, comment cette amitié émerge, la façon dont elle évolue depuis 1792 et la manière dont cette morale militaire soude les liens entre les deux soldats. Ainsi, nous pourrons mettre à jour la biographie du maréchal ; ce qui permettra dans cette recherche d'élucider enfin la question de la trahison imputée à Marmont.

У хронологічній послідовності відтворено зв'язки письменника з крайовою пресою, починаючи з 30-х років, журналістську діяльність юного Олеся Гончара в районній і обласній газетах на Полтавщині та Харківщині й закінчуючи спостереженнями уже досвідченого публіциста й майстра слова над діяльністю місцевих ЗМІ в роки незалежної України.Аналіз текстів листів-привітань, спрямованих до місцевих редакцій газет і журналів, указує на широку географію зв'язків письменника з друкованими ЗМІ, розкриває його бачення концепції діяльності видань цього типу, що ґрунтується на демократичних та гуманістичних засадах. Вітаючи появу на поч. 90-х рр. нових літературно-мистецьких видань на Сході і Заході України та в Криму, Олесь Гончар зосереджує увагу на їх ролі в об'єднанні спільноти навколо насущних проблем: збереження історичної пам'яті й етнічної культури, функціонування української мови й шанобливого ставлення до літературної класики.

Programa Institucional de Doctorado en Historia ; This thesis refers to the diplomatic efforts of Enrique Creel and Joaquín Casasús who were members of the Porfirist political elite, whose missions and negotiations helped to strengthen Mexico's relations with the United States and other countries on the continent and resolved situations that were of great importance to the regime. In the elaboration of the biographical, political and diplomatic profile of Creel and Casasús, we noted the confluence of some variables such as their origin, their political ties, the places of socialization, residence, client networks, among others. With regard to Joaquín Casasús, we note that his appointment as Mexico's ambassador to the United States was in response to his knowledge of international law and his political skills, and above all to his close friendship and bond between the Casasús-Díaz families, being able to affirm that with his appointment President Díaz had a personal envoy and a political supporter of his complete trust. Regarding Enrique Creel, we explained his outstanding role in the Porfirista administration, contributing to the formation of the banking system and exercising real power in the administration through his client relations. In the present research, these two key characters were studied under new sources, and it was possible to contribute to the knowledge of the diplomatic being and work of Joaquín Casasús and Enrique Creel. It was concluded that these representatives of Mexico abroad defended the interests of the Porfirist administration to such an extent that they followed, in some cases, the instructions drawn from the presidency and the treasury secretary and not from the chancellery. They were emissaries, appointed ex professo or ad hoc as happened in the missions of Central America and El Chamizal carried out by Creel and Casasús, respectively. With what was intended to contribute a new vision of these two Porfirist diplomats, aiming to show that their knowledge, their actions and actions were necessary for the Mexico they helped to build. ; Esta tesis se refiere a las gestiones diplomáticas de Enrique Creel y Joaquín Casasús quienes fueron miembros de la élite política porfirista, cuyas misiones y negociaciones contribuyeron a fortalecer las relaciones de México con Estados Unidos y otros países del continente y resolvieron situaciones trascendentales para el régimen. En la elaboración del perfil biográfico, político y diplomático de Creel y de Casasús, constatamos la confluencia de algunas variables como su origen, sus nexos políticos, los lugares de socialización, la residencia, las redes clientelares, entre otras. Con respecto a Joaquín Casasús señalamos que su designación como embajador de México ante Estados Unidos respondió a su conocimiento del derecho internacional y a sus habilidades políticas, y sobre todo a su cercana amistad y vínculo entre las familias Casasús -Díaz pudiendo afirmar que con su nombramiento el presidente Díaz contaba con un enviado personal y un partidario político de su completa confianza. Referente a Enrique Creel nos expusimos su destacado papel en la administración porfirista contribuyendo a la conformación del sistema bancario y ejerciendo un poder real en la administración por medio de sus relaciones clientelares. En la presente investigación se estudió, bajo nuevas fuentes, a estos dos personajes clave, y se logró contribuir al conocimiento del ser y quehacer diplomático de Joaquín Casasús y de Enrique Creel. Se concluyó que estos representantes de México en el exterior defendieron los intereses de la administración porfirista en grado tal que siguieron, en algunos casos, las instrucciones giradas desde la presidencia y la secretaria de Hacienda y no la emitida por la cancillería. Se trató de emisarios, nombrados ex profeso o ad hoc como ocurrió en las misiones de Centroamérica y El Chamizal desempeñadas por Creel y Casasús, respectivamente. Con lo que se pretendió aportar una nueva visión de estos dos diplomáticos porfiristas, que apunte a mostrar que sus conocimientos, sus acciones y gestiones fueron necesarias para el México que ayudaron a construir.

U radu želimo da ukažemo na značaj republikanske misli za Dirkemovo shvatanje vaspitanja i obrazovanja. U sekundarnoj literaturi najčešće se ističu praktični i politički razlozi njegovog interesovanja za pedagogiju. Katolička crkva u Trećoj republici je – u vezi sa njenom ulogom u obrazovanju – doživljavana kao smetnja za dugoročni opstanak Republike. Obrazovanje novih generacija postavljeno je na temelje pozitivnih nauka kako bi se građani vaspitavali u duhu vrednosti novouspostavljene Republike. Proklamovani sekularizam Treće republike se nije mogao pomiriti sa obrazovnim sistemom kojim upravlja crkva. Dirkemov naučni rad je očigledno nosio i određeni politički značaj u Trećoj republici. Zapravo, bio je svojevrsni laički katehizis u obrazovnom sistemu Francuske. Ipak, čini nam se da uloga moralnog vaspitanja u novoj, sekularnoj državi nije bila samo puko provizorno rešenje. Republikanska misao je oduvek isticala značaj obrazovanja, odnosno vaspitanja koje bi omogućilo političku i moralnu stabilnost društvenog poretka. U ovom slučaju mislimo na dela klasika filozofije – Platona, Aristotela, Makijavelija, Monteskjea i Rusoa. Ako je Dirkemova sociologija i pedagogija imala ulogu supstituta katoličke veronauke, onda se sa sigurnošću može tvrditi da je u takvoj ulozi deo i duge tradicije republikanskog vaspitanja. Pomoću heurističkog pristupa pratićemo idejni razvoj republikanske misli o vaspitanju i obrazovanju. Sve navedeno iznosimo kako bismo pokazali na koji način se republikanska tradicija podudara sa projektom izgradnje Treće republike. Dirkemov odnos prema ulozi pedagogije nije puki proizvod određenih biografskih (akademskih) ili političkih kontingentnosti. Ovakav pristup može biti interesantan zbog načina na koji pristupamo razumevanju klasika sociologije i pedagogije. Dela klasika moramo posmatrati i kao proizvod kontinuiteta, a ne samo kroz prizmu njihove originalnosti ili konteksta u kojem su stvarali. U tom slučaju možemo postaviti drugačije interpretacije i posmatrati njihova dela iz drugog ugla. ; In the paper we want to point at significance of the Republican thought for Durkheim's understanding of education and upbringing. The secondary literature usually highlights practical and political reasons for his interest in pedagogy. Catholic Church was in the Third Republic - regarding its role in education - seen as a hindrance to a long-term survival of the Republic. Education of new generations was based on positive sciences so the citizens could be educated in line with the values of newly established Republic. The proclaimed secularism of the Third Republic could not be reconciled with the educational system governed by the church. Durkheim's academic work clearly bore a certain political significance in the Third Republic. Actually, it was a form of profane catechism in the education system of France. However, it seems that the role of moral education in the new, secular state was not merely a tentative solution. Republican thought has always emphasized the significance of education, i.e. upbringing, which would enable political and moral stability of the social order. In this case we allude to the works of prominent philosophers - Plato, Aristotle, Machiavelli, Montesquieu and Rousseau. If Durkheim's sociology and pedagogy acted as a substitute for Catholic catechism, then it is safe to say that so did a long tradition of Republican upbringing. Using a heuristic approach, we will follow conceptual development of the Republican thought on upbringing and education. The purpose of the above stated is to demonstrate how the Republican tradition coincides with the project of building the Third Republic. Durkheim's attitude towards the role of pedagogy is not a mere product of particular biographical (academic) or political contingencies. This view can be interesting because of our approach to understanding of classical authors of sociology and pedagogy. We must also regard the works of classical authors as products of continuity, and not just through the prism of their originality or context within which they created. In that case, we can set different interpretations and view their works from a different angle. ; Zbornik rezimea / 24. Статья посвящена рассмотрению информационного потенциала делопроизводственных источников секретного Департамента полиции Российской империи, которые освещают особенности формирования социального состава земского представительства Юга Украины в конце ХІХ начале ХХ вв. Указывается, что большинство материалов делопроизводства, которые освещают личностный вклад земского представительства, хранится в Государственном архиве Российской Федерации. В основном документы архива представлены материалами делопроизводства земских учреждений, Департаментов полиции, Канцелярии губернаторов и др. К ним относятся отчеты губернаторов и полицейских учреждений, материалы переписки губернаторов и земских управлений, протоколы, запросы земских учреждений в местные жандармские управления по выяснению биографических данных земских служащих и их социального статуса. Эти материалы полезны для анализа разнообразных взглядов и мнений земцев, выявление разногласий и споров по тому или иному поводу между земскими деятелями, отслеживание особенностей и даже тайн формирования земского представительства и определение важнейших критериев, по которым оценивались кандидаты на должность земских гласных и др. Тщательное изучение материалов делопроизводства позволило выяснить влияние личностного фактора на эффективность деятельности земских учреждений. Научная новизна представленного исследования обусловливается тем, что анализ источников, которые представляют социальный состав земств Юга Украины, до сих пор не был объектом отдельных исследований ученых. Также в исследовании используются документы, впервые введенные в научный оборот. Применение метода антропологизации истории позволило проследить роль личности в социально-экономическом и культурном подъеме регионов. Таким образом, осуществленный анализ документации секретного Департамента полиции Российской империи помог с критической точки зрения более объективно оценить состав земского представительства Юга Украины. Проведенная эвристика показала, что оценивая претендентов земских учреждений, органы самоуправления, в первую очередь, обращали внимание на "политическую благонадежность" кандидатов, семейное положение, наличие образования и ближайшее окружение. Выяснено, что в земских учреждениях Юга Украины подавляющее большинство должностных лиц отвечало этим требованиям, те, кто вызывал сомнения, лишались должности и передавались в Департамент полиции. ; The article is devoted to the examination of information potential of the Russian Empire police backroom registering sources. They highlight the peculiarities of formation of Southern Ukrainian zemstvos' social structure in the late XIX the early XX century. As pointed out, the majority of registering sources throwing light on the personal structure of zemstvos' representation resides at the State Archives of the Russian Federation. For the most part the archives' records comprise in the registering documentation of zemstvos' institutions, Police Departments, Governor's offices and so forth. Here belong Governors' and Police institutions' reports, recordings of Governors' and administrative boards of zemstvos' correspondence, minutes, inquiry letters of zemstvos' institutions to local gendarme administrations as to clarification of biographical data and social status of zemstvos' officers. These recordings are valuable in analyzing various views and conceptions of zemstvos' officers, identifying contradictions and controversies on certain matters among figures of zemstvos. They are also helpful for tracing the characteristics and even the secrets of forming zemstvos' offices and identification of the most significant criteria of evaluation of applicants for the post of the town council members and so forth. The thorough study of recordings allowed clarifying impact of personality factor on the efficiency of zemstvos' institutions activities. The academic novelty of the given paper results from the fact that the sources base representing social structure of Southern Ukrainian zemstvos hasn 't still appeared as the subject of special scientific researches. Besides the paper operates with the documents being firstly introduced into the scientific treatment. The application of the method of history anthropologization allowed tracing the role of an individual in social-economic and cultural regional development. Thus the performed analysis of the Russian Empire police backroom records from a critical point of view facilitated a more unbiased estimation of Southern Ukrainian zemstvos' representation structure. The heuristics performed showed that in estimating applicants for zemstvos' institutions the local governments above all paid attentionto "political reliability" of applicants, their marital status, education and entourage. It was ascertained that the overwhelming majority of the zemstvos' institutions officials met these criteria. Those raising any doubts about lost their offices and were given in charge of the Police Department.

Set up in three main parts, this dissertation explores the emergence of Rafiq Hariri as a political actor (I), the historic origins of the Muhammad al-Amin Mosque project (II) and the association of the former Lebanese prime minister with Lebanon's main Sunni place of worship (III). Besides being a powerful testimony to the impressive reconstruction effort in Lebanon in general and in Beirut in particular, this monumental mosque also represents a symbol of political and religious identification. The aim of this research is double: to track down the gradual involvement of the former head of government in sponsoring a 150 year old project, and to enquire about the ways the construction of a mosque can strengthen the legitimacy of a political actor within a multi-confessional societal context. Based on field research (2004 – 2009) and a systematic analysis of written, visual and oral sources, the objective is to explain how the appearance of this sanctuary of Lebanese Sunni officialdom participates in a wider dynamic that apprehends religious architecture in Beirut (at least partly) as a set of semi-public and semi-sacred spaces where the intricacies and links between politics, religion and urban sociology materialize in tangible and observable way. In fact, both the coming about of this prestigious mosque and the transformations of the adjacent Maronite cathedral illustrate the political subtleties of religious architecture as well as the ambiguities of intermingling communities. Moreover, the Muhammad al-Amin Mosque and the commemorative tomb of Rafiq Hariri installed immediately next to it offer an interesting field of observation that reveals developments, struggles and practices which document just how a reputation and a political legacy are being constructed, negotiated, mobilized, oriented and reoriented, according to the needs and wishes of the elites. Through a substantial biographical essay on Rafiq Hariri (chapters 1-3), juxtaposed to a recollection of the various construction phases of the Muhammad al-Amin Mosque (ch. 4), a detailed description (ch. 5) and a critical analysis of the latter by local experts (ch. 6), this research presents itself as a study that encompasses several disciplines and adopts, as a consequence, a methodological pluralism. Although the author concentrates the bulk of his attention on the complexities and interests at stake in contemporary Lebanon (ch. 7-8), in a final chapter he also examines a selection of major religious architectural projects, in order to provide for a wider contextualisation, both in time and space. The conclusion is that, no matter the place or the time and notwithstanding occasional exploitations of it, (religious) architecture turns out to be a fertile prism which, rather than a competition among communities reflects their diversity and exemplifies their interaction. ; Conçue en trois parties, cette thèse explore à la fois l'émergence de Rafiq Hariri comme acteur politique (I), la genèse historique du projet de la mosquée Muhammad al-Amin (II) ainsi que l'association de l'ancien premier ministre libanais au principal lieu de culte sunnite du Liban (III). Outre un puissant témoignage de l'impressionnant effort de reconstruction du Liban en général et de la ville de Beyrouth en particulier, cette mosquée monumentale représente également un symbole d'identification politico-religieuse. L'objectif de cet exercice est double et consiste non seulement à retracer l'implication graduelle de l'ancien chef de gouvernement dans la promotion d'un projet vieux de près d'un siècle et demi mais aussi à s'interroger sur la façon dont la construction d'une mosquée peut contribuer à renforcer la légitimité d'un acteur politique dans un contexte sociétal multiconfessionnel. Sur base d'une étude de terrain menée entre 2004 et 2009 et en dépouillant un corpus documentaire composé de sources écrites, visuelles et parlées il s'agit d'expliquer comment l'apparition de ce haut lieu du sunnisme officiel libanais s'inscrit dans une dynamique plus large qui permet d'analyser l'architecture religieuse à Beyrouth (du moins en partie) comme des espaces tantôt publics tantôt sacrés où les liens entre le politique, le religieux et la sociologie urbaine se matérialisent de manière concrète et observable. En effet, la réalisation de cette prestigieuse mosquée ainsi que les transformations de la cathédrale maronite adjacente permettent d'illustrer aussi bien les subtilités politiques de l'architecture religieuse que les ambigüités du brassage communautaire. Par ailleurs, la mosquée Muhammad al-Amin et la tombe commémorative de Rafiq Hariri qui lui est accolée constituent un formidable champ d'observation révélant un certain nombre d'évolutions, de luttes et de pratiques qui montrent comment une réputation et un héritage politique se construisent, se négocient, se mobilisent, s'orientent et se réorientent en fonction des contraintes et des besoins des élites. A travers un substantiel essai biographique sur Rafiq Hariri (chapitres 1-3) juxtaposé à une recomposition des différentes phases de construction de la mosquée Muhammad al-Amin (ch. 4), d'une description détaillée (ch. 5) ainsi qu'une analyse critique de celle-ci par des experts locaux (ch. 6), cette recherche se présente comme une étude à cheval sur plusieurs disciplines qui adopte, par conséquent, un pluralisme méthodologique. Si l'auteur porte son attention principalement aux complexités et aux enjeux propres aux réalités libanaises contemporaines (ch. 7-8), dans un dernier chapitre (ch.9) il s'applique également à étudier une sélection de grands projets d'architecture religieuse plus ou moins éloignés dans le temps et/ou dans l'espace, afin de permettre une mise en contexte à plus grande échelle.
