Необходима интеграция информационных технологий и традиционных форм патриотического воспитания. ; The article deals with modern information technologies in the educational practices of an educational institution. The questions of the theory and practice of using modern information technologies are described in scientific researches of recent years and developed in different ways: the preparing specialists in the system of higher education for the usage of computer information management of educational institution, the development of students' information culture in the process of studying informatics, the usage of information and communication technologies in the process of teaching other subjects. The essence of information and communication technologies integrates the semantics of the term "communication" and involves the process of communication, exchange of views, knowledge, feelings, patterns of behavior, as well as the joint activities of communication participants in the process which produces a common view of things, events and environment. Basic functions of social communication: information (information about objects, its properties, phenomena, actions and processes); expressive (defines the ability of social communication to transmit evaluative information about objects or phenomena); pragmatic (social communication is a means that prompts a person to act and act).It is specially noted that diversity of communication situations that are created in a virtual informational environment, gives each person the opportunity to realize and develop their personal qualities as a patriot citizen. These particular features of the usage of new information technologies are the most valuable in organizing the education of students who feel the need to take their own position in society, to realize themselves as members of a civil society, to understand themselves and their possibilities.It is shown that the usage of modern information technologies in the development of the information space of an educational institution allows to differentiate information flows in the program plan so that thematic unity of information is not violated, the functional purpose of information blocks was preserved, content of materials corresponded to the needs of a certain category of users.It is reported that in order to increase the efficiency of the activities of military patriotic education of students, it is proposed to use the content part of the unified electronic educational and teaching environment of the educational institution: hypertext and multimedia educational and methodical complexes, electronic textbooks, the usage of native and foreign information reference systems, electronic libraries, as well as information resources of the native electronic newspapers and magazines about patriotism; to create an information block in the structure of the only educational institution's information space, where the heroic and patriotic subjects and traditions of the Ukrainian people would be described.The author emphasizes that according to some scholars, the education of patriotism and the usage of information technology, should have: the creation of the only educational space; formation of social and cultural environment in the educational process; introduction of the regional component in the educational process; the complex usage of various types of educational and extra-curricular work for the implementation of patriotic education; regular monitoring with the aim of studying the effectiveness of work on patriotic education; development of students' creative abilities.It is analyzed that there is a tendency towards the gradual change of traditional forms in favor of information technologies in the developed countries of the world in the field of patriotic education, especially, the gaming computer industry. For patriotic education, it is necessary to carry out an information exchange between the subjects of the only information environment of educational institutions through the usage of information technology. In modern conditions of the formation of an information society, there is a need for the integration of information technologies and traditional forms of work on patriotic education for its most effective usage.

This dissertation examines the relationships between law and society when encountering disruptive, risky economic activities. In doing so, it assesses how culture, politics, civil society, and powerful industry interests influence the laws and legal instruments intended to protect or benefit citizens exposed to such activities. My case is the domestic shale-energy boom brought about by "fracking," which, over the past decade, has revolutionized the US energy economy and sparked controversy for its potentially detrimental effects on local communities and the environment. By examining sociological influences on states' fracking regulations and revealing inequalities reinforced in individual mineral-rights leasing contracts, I span time and space to analyze the social forces that shape who wins and who loses when fracking comes to an area.The dissertation is organized around three empirical studies. In the first, I draw from theories of social movements, organizations, politics, and markets to examine how social movements, economic industries, and state institutional environments influence the decisions of states to issue new regulations governing fracking or ban it altogether. Analyzing a longitudinal dataset of 34 states at risk of fracking from 2009 to 2016, and consistent with findings from political sociology and social-movement literatures, I find that increased economic security and increased environmental movement organizational capacity in a state boost the likelihood that a state will regulate the fracking industry or even ban fracking entirely. I also find that higher potential profitability (and accordingly, potential environmental risk) for fracking in a state moderates the effects of state government ideology and resource dependence on industry. These findings support my argument that the effects of non-state actors and institutional context on the regulation of disruptive industrial activity in new markets depend, in part, on the extent of potential economic benefits and societal risks posed by the economic activity.In the second empirical chapter, I examine the political, economic, and cultural factors influencing how stringently states regulate fracking. Analyzing state fracking chemical disclosure requirements from 2009 through 2016, I find that a state's expected chemical disclosure stringency is most positively influenced by how stringently its geographically proximate peer states regulate. Interacting economic hardship with fossil-fuel industry political influence is associated with less stringent regulation. I argue for a field theory-based approach to state-level regulation, which conceives of states as both constitutive of their own regulatory fields and embedded within broader fields, taking similarly situated states into account but susceptible to industry capture during particularly difficult economic times.Finally, in the last empirical chapter, I move from the state to the local level and investigate how social inequalities become reinforced in legal instruments. Specifically, I analyze economic disparities in a ubiquitous but understudied aspect of the fracking boom: mineral-rights lease contracts. Lease contracts represent an alternative, but no less important, way that socio-legal processes determine who stands to gain, and who stands to lose, when fracking comes to town. I analyze a unique proprietary dataset of nearly 90,000 leases in Texas's Barnett shale. I find that 1) local-community embeddedness yields expected higher payments to mineral-rights owners when compared to those who reside outside of the local community, and 2) people of color, in particular those of Hispanic/Latino ethnicity, receive significantly lower royalty terms when compared to whites, all else equal. The results hold when extended to a national-level analysis. These findings suggest that local ties can open pathways to locally sourced information and confer social capital, which can be beneficial during contract negotiations. They also support sociological theories of how social biases and categories affect economic transactions, resulting in patterned inequalities and discriminatory effects for socially disadvantaged groups. This chapter opens a new empirical domain—subsurface property rights—for socio-legal studies of contracts, and it offers new theoretical directions into how social inequalities become reinforced in legal instruments.

Studying the phenomenon of security relevant at all stages of development of society. Not having the status of a separate science, security paradigm developed in the context of philosophical, political, sociological theory of society, the state, as well as the nature of their operation. The ideas of the representatives of western sociological thought were crucial for the institutionalization of security issues within sociology, understanding the essence of the security concept, its delivery mechanisms. The article discusses the theoretical and methodological foundations for the study of security issues of personality, society and state representatives in the works of the classical period of development of sociological thought. In particular, it analyzes the ideas of A. Comte, H. Spencer, L. Ward, J. S. Mill, E. Durkheim, K. Marx, G. Simmel, A. Weber, W. Pareto, M. Weber, T. Lessing, K. Jaspers, K. Mannheim, P. Sorokin on the essence of the concept of security and the safe functioning of the mechanisms of development of society. In particular, the security of the society O. Comte regarded as a kind of order, statics, which are violated as a result of the various manifestations of the social whole. H. Spencer links the secure existence of the society with the normal activities of social institutions that govern the behavior of people. L. Ward believed that the existence of society can a threat mismatch human desires exist yet safe and physiological needs. According J. S. Mill safety when society should provide the public authorities, the laws also need to monitor their actions and to protect people from the government itself. E. Durkheim basis risk the proper functioning of society considers wrong division of labor as a necessary condition of the material and intellectual development. G. Simmel focuses on the fact that the threat of functioning of social systems is the fast pace of their cultural development. A. Weber believes that hinder the functioning of European society is the expansion, competition, monopolization and redistribution of areas from positions of strength. M. Weber sees bureaucracy as the main threat to human life and society. According to T. Lessing, a major threat to human existence is a culture that transforms nature into a dead creature. K. Jaspers the main threat to human existence fi nds meaning loss of human life. K. Manheim as the dominant threat to the democratic mass society considers anarchy, repression forms of the dictatorship of the liberal-democratic structures. R. Guardini considers that the main threat to humanity is the change in the relationship of man to nature, in particular, the lack of emotional experiences, direct perception. P. Sorokin sees trust as a basis for the safe functioning and development of society. In the article we characterize the place and role of theoretical achievements of theoretical sociology XIX - fi rst half of the ХХ century. In the formation of the foundations of modern sociological knowledge of safety, security features defi ned by sociology to develop the institutional framework of the domestic security environment development. Ensuring the safety of society, largely depends on the state of having strong government action and laws to preserve the integrity of the social organization. Security of the person determined by the level of freedom and equality. Formation of a common methodology of sociological knowledge of the concept of security should be limited to theoretical sociology. Sociology security as one of their special branch of theories should be viewed as a basic methodological basis of general scientifi c knowledge about safety. Ukrainian sociology has certain diffi culties caused by qualitatively new threats and risks specifi c to the modern conditions of life, but that it has the potential for the formation of the institutional foundations of the safe development of modern Ukrainian society.

The civilizational changes caused by information and high-tech scientific and technical progress have been examined by the author. Such changes have a profound effect on all aspects of human existence and will inevitably lead to new economic, social, demographic, anthropological, mental and spiritual situation in the life of mankind, and also have an impact on the spirituality and morality of young people, theirs mentality and faith. It has been clarified how information and high-tech scientific and technical progress and, especially, education can influence the mentality of a young man being intelligent and intellectual personality, his/her nature, his/her present and future existence. Author's definition of information and high-tech scientific and technical progress and mentality in conditions of information and high-tech progress has been given.It has been shown that our time requires a bright, ambitious, creative personality of the teacher who will be able to teach and educate the younger generation successfully in a progressive manner in accordance with the requirements of the information and high-tech progress. And for this aim it is necessary to destine pedagogical theory and practice, scientific and educational research in the direction of the impact of civilizational change on the mentality of a young man in today's information and high-tech progress.It has been shown that the Ukrainian nation is looking for its own path of development (civilizational, spiritual, cultural, mental, economic, political, social) in modern, post-industrial, postmodern information and high-tech world. It is necessary to attract both public institutions, and educational ones to the intensification of its development taking into account the mentality of our nation, which has its historical origins and values, its specific way of thinking, specific worldview in the system of spiritual life. That is the only way to form the young generation of Ukrainians — happy, educated, spiritually and financially rich with progressive thinking and mentality. ; Автор в статье рассматривает цивилизационные изменения вызваны информационно-высокотехнологическим научно-техническим прогрессом, которые оказывают глубокое влияние на все стороны человеческого существования и непременно приведут к новой экономической, социальной, демографической, антропологической, ментальной и духовной ситуации в жизни человечества, и которые уже сказываются на духовности и нравственности молодежи, ее ментальности и вере. В статье выяснено, каким способом информационно-высокотехнологичный научно-технический прогресс, и особенно образование, могут влиять на ментальность молодого человека, как интеллектуального, духовно богатого человека, на его природу, на его нынешнее и будущее существование. Приводятся авторские определения информационно-высокотехнологического научно-технического прогресса и ментальности в условиях информационно-высокотехнологического прогресса.Показано, что украинская нация находится в состоянии поиска своего пути развития (цивилизационного, духовного, культурного, ментального, экономического, политического, общественного) в современном постиндустриальном, постмодернистском информационно-высокотехнологичном мире, для интенсификации развития которого необходимо привлечь как общественные институты, так и образовательные, учитывая ментальность нашей нации, которая имеет свои исторические истоки и систему ценностей, свой специфический способ мышления, особый тип мировосприятия в системе духовной жизни. У статті з'ясовано, яким способом інформаційно-високотехнологічний науково-технічний прогрес, і особливо освіта, можуть впливати на ментальність молодої людини, як інтелектуального, духовно багатого спеціаліста, на її природу, на її нинішнє та майбутнє існування. Наводяться авторські визначення інформаційно-високотехнологічного науково-технічного прогресу та ментальності в умовах інформаційно-високотехнологічного прогресу.Показано, що українська нація знаходиться в стані пошуку свого шляху розвитку (цивілізаційного, духовного, культурного, ментального, економічного, політичного, суспільного) у сучасному постіндустріальному, постмодерному інформаційно-високотехнологічному світі, для інтенсифікації розвитку якого необхідно долучити як суспільні інституції, так і освітні, враховуючи ментальність нашої нації, яка має свої історичні витоки та систему цінностей, свій специфічний спосіб мислення, особливий тип світосприйняття в системі духовного життя. Тільки таким чином можна виховати молоде покоління українців — щасливе, освічене, духовно і матеріально багате, з прогресивним мисленням і ментальністю.

El presente trabajo es el resultado de una investigación basada en dos tradiciones de investigación cualitativa: la observación participante promovida en un espacio de encuentro en la modalidad de "taller" y también de grupo de discusión. Con las cuales fue posible hacer visible los retos y obstáculos que han enfrentado diferentes mujeres psicoanalistas mexicanas que han ejercido funciones de liderazgo en instituciones. Desde el enfoque de género se estudió la condición de marginación de la mujer, los criterios de igualdad entre los géneros, los valores atribuidos al empoderamiento femenino y los modos de ejercicio del poder. A partir de teorías psicoanalíticas se estudió la construcción de subjetividades femeninas en estas nuevas condiciones. Los resultados arrojan que, si bien ha habido cambios significativos, sigue estando presente la inequidad entre los géneros en todos los ámbitos, pero que se refleja con mayor precisión en el ámbito laboral. No ha sido suficiente promover la igualdad legal, ya que las condiciones socioculturales conservan ideas tradicionales de una superioridad masculina para el ejercicio del liderazgo; una falsa idea que incluso comparten algunas mujeres y que contribuye a la desigualdad laboral entre mujeres y hombres. Las unidades de análisis para evaluar en este estudio fueron: a) liderazgo y feminismo; b) políticas de género, políticas de la subjetividad; c) ideas negativas acerca del poder y el liderazgo; d) características de las mujeres líderes; e) las mujeres y el liderazgo ; This article is the result of an investigation based on two types of qualitative research: participant observation, which promoted a space for dialogue via a workshop model, as well as a focus discussion group. Through these methods, it was possible to make visible the challenges and obstacles that mexican psychoanalyst women in leadership roles have faced in their respective institutions. The themes of marginalization of women, criteria of equality between genders, the values attributed to feminine empowerment, and the wayspower is exercised, are all studied through a focus on gender. Psychoanalytic theory was used to study the construction of feminine subjectivities in these new conditions. The results show that, although there has been a significant shift, there is still inequity between genders in all areas. It is reflected most precisely in relation to the work sphere. It is not enough to promote legal equality, since socio-cultural conditions continue to propagate traditional ideas of masculine superiority in the exercise of leadership. This is a false idea that is shared even by some women and which contributes to work inequality between women and men. The units of analysis for this investigation were: a) leadership and feminism, b) gender and subjectivity politics, c) negative ideas regarding power and leadership, d) characteristics of women leaders, e) women and leadership. ; Este trabalho é o resultado de uma investigação baseada em duas tradições de pesquisa qualitativa: a observação participante promovida em um espaço de encontro na forma de "oficina" e também em discussão em grupo. Com as quais foi possível fazer visíveis os desafios e obstaculos que enfrentaram diferentes mulheres psicanalistas mexicanas que tenham prestado funções de liderança nas instituições. A partir da perspectiva de gênero foi estudada a condição de marginalização das mulheres, os critérios de igualdade entre os gêneros, os valores atribuídos ao empoderamento das mulheres e as formas de exercício do poder. A partir de teorías psicanalíticas, estudou-se a construção de subjetividades femininas nestas novas condições. Os resultados obtidos mostram que, embora tenha habido mudanças significativas, ainda está presente a desigualdade entre os gêneros em todas as áreas, mas se refletem mais precisamente no local de trabalho. Não foi suficiente promover a igualdade jurídica, já que as condições socioculturais preservam as ideias tradicionais de superioridade masculina para o exercício da liderança; equívoco que até mesmo algumas mulheres compartilham e que contribue para a desigualdade laboral entre mulheres e homens. As unidades de análise para avaliar neste estudo foram: a) liderança e feminismo, b) políticas de gênero, políticas da subjetividade, c) ideias negativas sobre poder e liderança, d) características de mulheres líderes e) mulheres e liderança.

Goal. Develop a holistic view of management systems supporting the development of organizations through projects and programs. Methods. The systematic approach considers the organization as a set of interrelated elements. People, goals, structure, tasks, technology are the variables of the internal environment of the organization. The factors of the external environment which influence the organization include: the laws and regulations of state regulation, the state of the economy; technological advances; part of disposable income; cultural and political changes; the impact of interest group of suppliers; and others. All changes always start from outside of the organization (in the external environment), that's why the organization's management must be able to identify significant factors in the environment that affect the organization and through effective implementation of available recourses. Results. The work proposes the method of evaluating the effectiveness of project human resource management in the projectoriented organization, which takes into account changes in the probability of failure-free operation of performers in the course of the project based on the reliability theory. Scientific novelty. For effective existence, any organization must add the tools to assess the effectiveness of management of available resources to their structure. The proposed directions of the internal environment development of the organization allow to create a system of evaluating the effectiveness of human resource management project in the project-oriented organizations. Practical significance. The proposed system will help the organization to unite, to subordinate all available resources to the main goal, to make it competitive, able to create a product with new consumer values. ; Цель. Сформировать целостное представление о системах управления поддерживающих конкурентоспособность проектно-ориентированных организаций и разработать методику оценки эффективности управления трудовыми ресурсами проекта в проектно-ориентированных организациях. Методика. В системном подходе организацию рассматривают как совокупность взаимосвязанных элементов. Люди, цели, структура, задачи, технологии –это переменные внутренней среды организации. К факторам внешнего окружения, которые оказывают влияние на организацию относятся: законы и нормы госрегулирования, состояние экономики; научно-технические достижения; часть располагаемого дохода; культурные и политические изменения; влияние групповых интересов поставщиков и др. Все изменения всегда начинаются за переделами организации (во внешнем окружении), поэтому менеджменту организаций необходимо уметь выявлять существенные факторы в окружении, которые влияют на организацию и с помощью эффективного использования имеющихся ресурсов. Результаты. В работе предложена методика оценки эффективности управления трудовыми ресурсами проекта в проектно-ориентированных организациях, который учитывает изменения вероятности безотказной работы исполнителей в ходе реализации проекта на основе теории надежности. Научная новизна. Любая организация, чтобы эффективно существовать, должна добавить механизмы оценки эффективности управления имеющимися ресурсами к своей структуре. Предложенные направления развития внутренней среды организации позволяют создать систему оценки эффективности управления трудовыми ресурсами проекта в проектно-ориентированных организациях. Практическая значимость. Предложенная в работе система поможет связать организацию, подчинить все имеющиеся ресурсы главной цели, сделать её конкурентной, способной создавать продукт с новыми потребительскими ценностями. ; Мета. Сформувати цілісне уявлення про системи управління, які підтримують конкурентоспроможність проектно-орієнтованих організацій та розробити методику оцінки ефективності управління трудовими ресурсами проекту в проектно-орієнтованих організаціях. Методика. У системному підході організацію розглядають як сукупність взаємопов'язаних елементів. Люди, цілі, структура, завдання, технології - це змінні внутрішнього середовища організації. До факторів зовнішнього оточення, які впливають на організацію відносяться: закони і норми держрегулювання, стан економіки; науково-технічні досягнення; частина наявного доходу; культурні та політичні зміни; вплив групових інтересів постачальників та ін. Всі зміни завжди починаються за переділами організації (в зовнішньому оточенні), тому менеджменту організацій необхідно вміти виявляти істотні в оточенні, які впливають на організацію і за допомогою ефективного використання наявних ресурсів. Результати. У роботі запропонована методика оцінки ефективності управління трудовими ресурсами проекту в проектно-орієнтованих організаціях, яка враховує зміни ймовірності безвідмовної роботи виконавців в ході реалізації проекту на основі теорії надійності. Наукова новизна. Будь-яка організація, щоб ефективно існувати, повинна додати механізми оцінки ефективності управління наявними ресурсами до своєї структури. Запропоновані напрями розвитку внутрішнього середовища організації дозволяють створити систему оцінки ефективності управління трудовими ресурсами проекту в проектно-орієнтованих організаціях. Практична значимість. Запропонована в роботі система може зв'язати організацію, підпорядкувати всі наявні ресурси головної мети, зробити її конкурентною, здатної створювати продукт з новими споживчими цінностями.

У статті досліджено особливості вивчення теорії і практики зарубіжної реформаторської педагогіки у вітчизняній та українській педагогічній думці кінця XIX – початку XXI століть. На підставі виокремлених провідних тенденцій вивчення явища й обґрунтованих критеріїв простежено методологічну та змістову ґенези вивчення теорії реформаторської педагогіки й особливості використання її новаційного досвіду, запропоновано авторську періодизацію вивчення теорії і практики зарубіжної реформаторської педагогіки у вітчизняній та українській педагогічній науці вказаного періоду. ; The purpose of the article is to offer the author's periodization of the phenomenon on the basis of clarification of the leading trends in the study of the experience of reformatory pedagogics in the national pedagogical thought of the late XIX – early XXI centuries. Research methods: general scientific (analysis, synthesis, analogy, comparison, generalization) and specific scientific: structural-genetic, with the help of which the process of development of the reformatory ideas in the Ukrainian pedagogical thought is characterized and a periodization of their learning is developed; historical and comparative, which gave the opportunity to reveal the peculiarities of learning and using the ideas of reformatory pedagogics in the context of the development of Ukrainian pedagogical thought of the late XIX – early XXI centuries. The result of research has become the author's periodization of the study and use of experience of the reformatory pedagogics in the national pedagogical thought of the late XIX – early XXI centuries. Criteria of periodization were chosen: 1) research directions of the content of the reformatory pedagogics, caused by the importance of examining the relevant ideas and concepts in each period, taking into account socio-political, socio-economic and cultural needs of society; 2) common methodological approaches and research methods of the reformatory pedagogics and their manifestation in the independent researches and works of scientists who had worked within the native scientific-pedagogical area; 3) the use of reformatory ideas and innovations in the processes of modernization of the national educational sphere; 4) the level of socio-political development of Ukrainians, in particular the availability of public education that had directly influenced the directions and measures of support of scientific researches of the Ukrainian pedagogical science. The author proposed periodization of the study and use of reformatory pedagogics by Ukrainian pedagogical thought in the period of 80-ies of the XIX and the beginning of the XXI century which provides for the allocation of five periods: 1st period – the 80-ies of the XIX century – 1917 – familiarization with the ideas of reformatory pedagogics, understanding of its progressiveness, development of analytical research methods and the use of achievements in the domestic non-public education; 2nd period – 1917–1919 – expansion of the semantic field of researches, development of the concept of national education on the theoretical foundations of the world reformatory pedagogics (nationalization, democratization, pedocentrism, labour school); 3rd period – 20-ies – early 30-ies of the XX century – active study of the ideas of reformatory pedagogics of the Ukrainian educational leaders and the use of its achievements in educational policy, formation of a new theory of education, vocational teacher training of Ukrainian teachers; 4th period – the second half of the 30-ies – 80-ies of the twentieth century – termination of objective study of foreign ideas of reformatory pedagogics, its official condemnation by the authorities as a bourgeois; 5th period – early 90-ies of XX century – the beginning of XXI century – is characterized by the restoration of scientific interest in reformatory pedagogics as the conceptual basis of innovative development of the school in the context of democratic changes in Ukrainian society and the integration of domestic education into the European space. The practical significance of the study – proposed approaches to the analysis of the phenomenon of reformatory pedagogics will be useful for those interested in the nature of foreign innovations of the late XIX – early XX centuries, their study of Russian and Ukrainian science, use of foreign innovations in Ukraine. The criteria and the periods suggested in the article may be one of the examples for analysis and synthesis of the study of interesting, multidimensional phenomenon, which had been studied over long periods of historical time.

In an attempt to examine the possibility of a constructive communication with a country like Iran, the intention of this thesis is to acquire a diverse perspective toward the current political and cultural struggles in the relationship between the country and the wider world. Studying the very recent Iranian nuclear deal, I am hoping that this study will provide creative alternative perspectives for more constructive conflict coverage in the future. Very often the conflict between Iran and the rest of the world has been reduced to simple binary oppositions such as dictatorship vs. democracy, or new vs. traditional, or secular vs. religious. By examining discourses of the news media, we may realize possible alternative ways of shaping communication with regards to a peaceful and hospitable act that will honor the voices of the other. Through a discourse theory approach, this study reviews the coverage of the Iran's nuclear deal in the mainstream news media; the selected media outlets are New York Times, Fox News Online Website, Kayhan and IRNA; these well-received study cases are chosen from the United States and Iran. I have tried to present the more conservative and liberal voices in addition to the more leftist ones. In this thesis, I have benefited from Derrida's notion of deconstruction, as well as Foucault's critical view of discourse. This thesis challenges and questions the realities that are being constructed and their relationship with knowledge and power. I argue that the coverage of the mentioned newspapers had a specific way of fixing meaning that can result in creating more tension, and ultimately violence. The aim here is to problematize the dominant discourses and to challenge any attempt of normalization. By exposing the selected texts to the social and historical context of their claims, one may be able to uncover their binary oppositional perspective, and to problematize them with foregrounding what has been backgrounded. We examined the relationship between art and popular culture, street art and socio-critical phenomenon of this period. Our hypothesis is that this relationship can be defined by the concept of street art, understood as an artistic practice whose connotations are both aesthetic and social a critique and order. It is on the basis of this hypothesis that we questioned the social content / critique of street art and its relationship with the socio-critical sphere which is a representation of the contemporary era. Our first intention was to show, through the graffiti testimony that the modern artists discovered the artistic value of graffiti and some anonymous registrant walls with intellectual expression. Then, this part concerns the prospect of popular culture, critical look at the age and plastics criteria that have had an influence on the street artists in France. Finally, the third and fourth parts deepen the street art movement that became the graffiti art in the history of contemporary art. We study the quarrels offered by the social function of works of art, the ethical problem of the artist's work social function, role, and real artistic value in the industrial culture and commercial art, unrolling a panorama of street artists activities. The two axes of "the artistic value" and "rebellious act", dealing with contemporary art and its relationship with its critical vision of modernity, those are the foundation of the street art movement, which activist and rebel practice, as an art, and a critical approach towards the art world or our society are essential to its survival as it is. This subject will therefore give us the opportunity to question the true art in our society, a consumer society. In the late 1990s, NASA conducted a study of the Interplanetary Internet (IPN) architecture. In order to build and deploy IPN infrastructure, the network technology had to be able to cope with long radio signal propagation delays and frequent radio link disruptions. The concept of a Delay Tolerant Networking (DTN) emerged after recognizing that such a networking paradigm can also be applicable for terrestrial use. DTN technology can be applied, for instance, in disaster situations, military battlefields, economically developing areas, and remote regions.This thesis follows the process of applying DTN technology to a remote, communication-challenged area in the Arctic part of Sweden. The aim of the DTN deployments in the remote villages of Sarek and Padjelanta National Parks, between 2008 and 2011, was to provide a basic set of ICT services to the nomadic Sami population. Therefore, the research presented here acknowledges and considers the specific geographical, technical, and cultural conditions of these areas, and how these conditions profoundly shaped the development of the deployed technology as well as the research methodology. As a result, this thesis makes scientific contributions to several research topics, spanning the fields of DTN routing, DTN service development, DTN evaluation methodologies, and ICT deployments.The first contribution in this thesis is the proposal of a new and improved version of the PRoPHETv2 routing protocol. The development of this routing protocol was driven by actual protocol use and the results of experiments conducted during the course of the DTN deployments.Secondly, this thesis proposes an alternative DTN routing objective for a typical remote village DTN scenario. Weaknesses of a conventional DTN routing research objective are exposed by outlining concrete geographical, social, and technical conditions discovered in DTN deployments on the field. When these conditions are overlooked, they can profoundly affect DTN deployments.Thirdly, this thesis discusses the development and deployment of the Not-So-Instant-Messaging (NSIM) DTN service. The NSIM service was designed to leverage from the decentralized DTN infrastructure. Its success in the field demonstrates the importance of localized DTN services. Fourthly, using qualitative reading of DTN routing related papers, this thesis describes shortcomings of established DTN routing evaluation methodologies. Extensive use of simulated environments and scarce real-world experiments in the DTN research field often leads to usage of specific hypothetical scenarios. These scenarios are difficult to compare or relate to each other. Additionally, DTN research that does contextualize itself in remote, extreme, and challenging scenarios performs evaluations of proposed routing schemes in urban or academic environments. The DTN evaluation model that is proposed here tries to improve the readability, comparability, and validity of DTN routing evaluations. This thesis also pays attention to the issue of how to evaluate the complex interplay that occurs between researchers, users, technology and environment throughout the deployment process. The suggested method highlights the dynamics of resistance, as conceptualized within Actor Network Theory (ANT). It illustrates how employment of the concept of resistance facilitates the recognition of different driving forces in the design process that emerge from the events in the deployment.Ultimately, the thesis contributes with the PRoPHET routing protocol specification in the "Request for Comments" (RFC) document series that is the official publication channel for the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF) and other Internet communities. The protocol specification published as the RFC6693 document allows for actual protocol implementation and assures interoperability. One key strategy to achieve reduction in maternal and neonatal mortality is to scale up the availability of skilled birth attendants (SBAs). The staff nurses (i.e., registered nurse and midwives) are skilled birth attendants recognized by the government of India. Aim and objectives: This thesis studied women's choices, perceptions, and practices related to childbirth, and how these were affected by modernity in general and modernity brought in by maternal health policies (Paper-I). The midwifery scope of practice of staff nurses was studied in government facilities (Paper-II). The confidence of the final-year students on selected midwifery skills, from the diploma and bachelor's programmes, was assessed against the list of competencies of the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM) (Paper-III). The teaching and learning approaches associated with confidence were also studied (Paper-IV). Methods: The grounded theory approach was used to develop models for describing the transition in childbirth practices amongst tribal women (Paper -I) and to describe the scope of midwifery practice of staff nurses (Paper-II). Data used for Paper-I included eight focus groups with women and five in-depth interviews with traditional birth attendants and staff nurses. For Paper-II, 28 service providers and teachers from schools of nursing were interviewed in depth. A cross sectional survey design was used to assess the confidence of final-year students from 25 randomly selected educational institutions stratified by type of programme (diploma/bachelor's) and ownership (private/government) (Paper-III & IV). Students assessed their confidence using a 4-point Likert scale in the competency domains of antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care. Explorative factor analysis using principal component analysis (PCA) was used to reduce skill statements into subscales for each domain. Crude and adjusted odds ratios with 95% CI were calculated to compare students with high confidence (≤75th percentile of scores) and those without high confidence (> 75th percentile) to compare diploma and bachelor students (Paper-III) and to study the association of teaching-learning methods and high and not high confidence for each subscale (Paper -IV). Results: A transition in childbirth practices was noted amongst women—a shift from home to hospital births seen as a trade-off between desirables (i.e., secure surroundings) and essentials (i.e., reduced risk of mortality)' (Paper-I). General development, increased access to western medical care, and international/national maternal health policies socialized women into western childbirth practices. The communities increasingly relied on hospitals as a consequence of role redefinition and deskilling of the Traditional Birth Attendants. Existing cultural beliefs facilitated the acceptance of medical interventions. The midwifery practice of staff nurses was ‗circumstance-driven' and ranged from extended to marginal because the legal right to practice was unclear Paper-II). Their restricted practice led to deskilling, and extended practice was perceived as risky. The clinical midwifery education of students was marginalized. Because of dual registration as nurse and midwife, the identity of a nurse was predominant. From 633 students, 25-40% scored above the 75th percentile and 38-50% below the 50th percentile of confidence in all subscales Paper-III). A majority had not attended the required number of births prescribed by the Indian Nursing Council. The diploma students were 2-4 times more likely to have high confidence in all subscales compared to the bachelor students. High confidence was associated with number of births attended, practice on manikins, and being satisfied with supervision during clinical practice (Paper-IV). Conclusions: Access to hospitals increases women's choices for childbirth in the context of high mortality. Inequitable distribution of health facilities requires region specific strategies. The women are dissatisfied with the psychosocial aspects of hospital care. India has a national regulatory body, but midwifery specific regulation is lacking. In this situation, the midwifery scope of practice of staff nurses is undefined. The pre-service midwifery education does not develop student's confidence to provide first level care for childbirth, as expected by the governments. Short-term and long-term measures to professionalize midwives in India are suggested

Over the last three decades, there has been a policy shift towards Inclusive Education (IE) across the world. This has led to reform initiatives aimed at access and equity for all students within regular classrooms, irrespective of children's individual differences on the basis of abilities, disabilities or any conditions due to their socio-economic or cultural background. Like many developing countries, Bangladesh has commenced IE reform to educate all school-aged children in its regular education system, particularly those who have been traditionally excluded (e.g., children with disabilities, those with social/economic disadvantage and those from ethnic minorities). Whilst enrolment of children with disabilities in regular schools has increased in Bangladesh, the majority of the 1.6 million children with disabilities remain out of school. Past research indicates that the negative attitude of teachers is one of the significant barriers impeding the implementation of IE policies. Building upon previous research, this project sought to understand in-service teachers' attitudes towards enacting IE by using the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) as the key conceptual framework. Use of this framework was considered critical for this research as it not only allows us to explore educators' attitudes but also to better understand other key constructs that may have a direct influence on attitudes and, ultimately, upon the behavioural intentions of teachers. Two key constructs potentially influencing behavioural intention conceptualised for this research were perceived teaching efficacy beliefs and perception of support available for inclusion of students with disabilities in regular classrooms. An investigation was made into what background variables could influence the key constructs of TPB (i.e. attitudes, perceived teaching efficacy, and behavioural intentions). More specifically, the major aims of the research were to examine the influence of teachers' attitudes towards inclusion of students with disabilities in regular classrooms, teacher efficacy to undertake inclusive practices in classes, and their perceptions of school support for such practices, on their intentions to include students with disabilities in their classes. The study also investigated the influences of demographic variables and of perceived school support for IE on teachers' attitudes and teacher efficacy, assessing the levels of the major variables and the influential dynamics. This study employed both survey questionnaires and focus group interviews. A total of 738 in-service teachers from government primary schools in Bangladesh's Dhaka division completed a survey and 22 in-service teachers participated in focus group interviews. Key findings of the research revealed that teacher attitudes, teacher efficacy and perceived school support were significant predictors that explained 40% of the variance in teachers' intentions to include students with disabilities in their classes. Teachers' attitudes towards inclusion rated close to neutral, perceived school support was distinctly negative, teacher efficacy was moderately positive, and teachers' intentions to include students with disabilities was slightly lower than 'somewhat positive' towards inclusion. Perceived school support was consistently a powerful predictor across the variables (i.e., teachers' intentions, teacher attitudes, and teacher efficacy). Specific demographic variables were also identified as important predictors of teachers' attitudes and their perceived teacher efficacy. Thematic analysis of the interview data found teachers' intentions put them in a quandary – they were simultaneously sceptical about the success of full inclusion, yet supportive of inclusion from social and professional perspectives. The interviews also identified salient institutional and environmental factors behind the teachers' intentions. The study documented areas for further research (e.g., context specificity, factors behind attitude status and effectiveness of training strategies) as well as offered specific recommendations for educational policy makers and teacher educators (e.g., building training programmes for the teachers that address IE requirements). As teachers' behaviour in the classroom is critical to the successful implementation of IE reform, it is imperative that a thorough understanding of the influences and motivators is attained. This study offers a contribution towards such an understanding with its findings that elucidate the impact of and relationships between the investigated variables.
