Asymmetrical wars that have continued for more than twenty years on theterritoryofIraq,AfghanistanandSyria, and the hybrid aggression ofRussiaagainstUkrainerequire the search for fundamentally new forms and ways of achieving goals in modern military conflicts. The North Atlantic Alliance considers support and development of the security and defense sector (Security Force Assistance, SFA) capabilities of partner countries that are not members of NATO as one of the areas to counter the new threats and security. Analysis of the possibilities of applying the new concept to ensure the security ofUkraineis relevant. The purpose of the article is to improve the methodological provisions for assessing the effectiveness of the ways the Ukrainian armed forces interact with NATO in solving the conflict in the east of Ukraine based on the use of the fuzzy set theory method and cluster analysis. The North Atlantic Alliance is introducing an effective concept of supporting and developing the capabilities of the security and defense sectors and practical mechanisms for its implementation, which can solve many security and defense problems of non-NATO countries. At the same time, the introduction of such a concept requires partner countries to change the regulatory framework and appropriate infrastructure preparation. The methodology for assessing the effectiveness of the ways in whichUkraine's armed forces interact with NATO is analogous to the Methodology for evaluating modern military conflicts and is adapted to create a database of the routes themselves and to clarify the phases (stages) of the development of modern military conflicts.Using the adapted Methodology, a numerical experiment was conducted, which allowed:identify effective ways of interaction of the armed forces with NATO in modern conditions;clarify the phases (stages) of conflict development;to numerically determine the performance factors of the ways of interaction of the armed forces of NATO in modern conditions, depending on the phases (stages) of the development of the conflict;to numerically determine the performance factors of the ways the Ukrainian armed forces interact with NATO to resolve the conflict in the east ofUkraine. For the conflict in the east of Ukraine in modern conditions, except for the existing initiatives, there will be a new initiative "support for security and defense forces". 'This book is exactly what the subtitle indicates. It is a highly knowledgeable, realistic - yet positive - review and assessment of the United Nations. Convenient for use in courses on international organization. The reviewer would particularly recommend it to individuals connected officially or otherwise professionally concerned with the United Nations'. American Journal of International Law In the first edition of this book the late Evan Luard questioned whether or not the UN had failed and suggested ways in which the institution could be improved. Into this context he placed analyses of the operation of the Security Council, the General Assembly, economic and social bodies, the World Court and the International Law Commission, the Secretariat and the budget. In preparing this new edition Derek Heater has up-dated the core material and written a new concluding chapter showing how, since the mid- 1980s, the UN has perhaps been acquiring a new lease of life

This book explores the transformation of the political organization of the world as manifest in different spheres of world politics, in particular, in world politics, regional studies, interaction of MNCs and government agencies, and state responses to biogenic challenges. To achieve this goal, M. Lebedeva proposes the concept of a political organization of the world, which in modern conditions is in the process of transformation. The transformation of the political organization of the world is accompanied by megatrends (globalization, integration, democratization) and the opposite trends (de-globalization disintegration, dedemocratization). Interdisciplinary in nature, this book brings together scholars from Russia, the United States, and Canada, and provides a compelling perspective on the geopolitics of our time. Marina Lebedeva graduated from the Moscow State University, 1977, received her PhD in 1981 and became Doctor of Political Science in 1993. She is the head of the World Politics Department, Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO-University). Marina Lebedeva is author and co-author of more than 400 academic publications, including books. Vladimir Morozov is Associate professor at the Department of Diplomacy and holds the position of Vice-President for HR. He has a PhD in History and has been working at MGIMO since 2002 with a short break in 2004-2007 when he was assigned to the Embassy of the Russian Federation to Israel.
The government of India has done remarkable work on commissioning a government funded prehospital emergency ambulance service in India. This has both public health implications and an economic impact on the nation. With the establishment of these services, there is an acute need for standardization of education and quality assurance regarding prehospital care provided. The International Joint Working Group has been actively involved in designing guidelines and establishing a comprehensive framework for ensuring high-quality education and clinical standards of care for prehospital services in India. This paper provides an independent expert opinion and a proposed framework for general operations and administration of a standardized, national prehospital emergency medical systems program. Program implementation, operational details, and regulations will require close collaboration between key stakeholders, including local, regional, and national governmental agencies of India.
"Discerning the early stages of the rebirth of a new Russian empire from the ashes of the Soviet Union, Vladimir Putin and Russia's Imperial Revival argues that Russia's recent overtly aggressive actions and foreign policy doctrines have signaled a renewal of the Cold War. At the least, Russia's actions represent the potential for renewal. This book explains these developments in a historical context. The book begins by describing Russia's initial policy of rapprochement after the collapse of the Soviet Union and its development into a foreign policy of threatened or actual armed aggression. It identifies today's Russia as a nation determined to re-establish itself as a political and military force. As a prominent figure in the development and continuation of its current foreign policy, Vladimir Putin plays a central role in the topics covered. Previous literature often treats Putin as an individual phenomenon examining his connections to corruption or the secret police, but here David E. McNabb examines him as the latest in a long history of Russian despots who followed similar expansionist policies. He details some of the tactics Putin uses to instill fear and dominate political policies of republics newly independent from Russia. These tactics include the use of energy as a weapon, cyber terrorism, and military support for ethnic Russian separatists in other sovereign nations, most recently exemplified by Russia's annexation of Crimea from Ukraine via armed invasion. In an attempt to demystify Russia's re-emergence as an international political force, Vladimir Putin and Russia's Imperial Revival grounds its analyses in history. It explores as far back as the establishment of the first Russian empire, and regards Putin as a leader determined to establish a fifth imperial incarnation. It provides a nuanced understanding of how Russia arrived at its current position through recent and distant internal and international events"--Provided by publisher
