Purpose
Drawing on the taxonomy of patient empowerment and a sense of community (SoC), the purpose of this paper is to analyze the factors that impact the intention of the individual to continue using online social health support community for their chronic disease management.


Design/methodology/approach
A survey design was used to collect the data from multiple online social health support groups related to chronic disease management. The survey yielded a total of 246 usable responses.


Findings
The primary findings from this study indicate that the informational support – not the nurturant support such as emotional, network, and esteem support – are the major types of support people are seeking from an online social health support community. This research also found that patient empowerment and SoC would positively impact their intention to continue using the online health community.


Research limitations/implications
This study utilized a survey design method may limit precision and realism. Also, there is the self-selection bias as the respondents self-selected themselves to take the survey.


Practical implications
The findings can help the community managers or webmasters to design strategies for the promotion and diffusion of online social health group among patient of chronic disease. Those strategies should focus on patient's empowerment through action facilitating and social support and through creating a SoC.


Originality/value
An innovative research model integrates patient empowerment and a SoC to study patient's chronic disease management through online social health groups to fill the existing research gap.

In Finland, the implementation of the national Kanta services' second phase was carried out step by step from May 2010 to December 2017. My Kanta Pages, launched in 2010, is an online service where citizens can browse their own health information recorded in the Prescription Centre and the Patient Data Repository regardless of whether the healthcare services they had used were public or private. It is the patient accessible national electronic health records in Finland (PAEHR).
The study objective was to investigate the use of the national PAEHR by using indicator data from 2010 to 2018.
Cumulatively 2.8 million (M) persons (51% of the Finnish population, and 63% of the adults at least 18 year old) had accessed the PAEHR 23.2M times (49.2M sign-ins) by 31 December 2018. Altogether, 6.0M e-prescription renewal request were sent to healthcare via the PAEHR by 31 December 2018. Patient Data Management Service was implemented as part of the Patient Data Repository. By 31 December 2018, the Patient Data Management Service had records of 6.3M information notices, 3.3M consents and 93,732 refusals (consent restrictions). In addition, the Patient Data Management Service had records of 467,055 organ donation testaments and 93,484 living wills.
Half of the Finnish population in general, and two out of three adults had used the national PAEHR by 31 December 2018. Since nine years after its launch, the adults' use of the Finnish national PAEHR is still increasing and is approaching 50% annual use.

This study aims to determine the management model and identify obstacles in the implementation of inclusive education programs at Junior High School 4 in Praya. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method (casy study). Data collection techniques are carried out using in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document studies. Sources of research data are principals, deputy principals, special escort teachers and counseling teachers. Furthermore, data analysis is carried out through the steps of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the research found in Junior High School 4 at Praya relating to the management of inclusive education there were 18 special needs students who had various abnormalities and obstacles, namely; 13 students were slow to learn, 1 low vision person, 1 mentally retarded person, 1 hearing impaired and 1 person had communication disorders. These problems often experience obstacles in the management of curriculum modification, between the curriculum of regular students with special needs students (PDBK), there is only 1 special assistant teacher who serves special needs students, lack of facilities and infrastructure that support the implementation of inclusive education programs in Junior High School 4 at Praya. The model of inclusive education applied in Junior High School 4 at Praya is a regular class model with full out, namely students with special needs learning with other children (normal) in the regular class and developing their talents and interests by special tutors so that students can develop optimally according to skills possessed.

Brexit and the election of Donald Trump can be interpreted as the culmination of a chain of events beginning with neoliberalism. This certainly appears to be the position we critical scholars have adopted. We readily paint neoliberalism as our ideological nemesis and cite it as the reason the developed world faced austerity measures in the late 2000s and early 2010s. And it is austerity, we tell ourselves, that led to the electoral surprises of 2016. In this article, I invoke the epistemological nuance found in Kierkegaard, Nietzsche and Weber to re-evaluate this linear cause-and-effect logic. Linear thinking is borne of a broader epistemological bias, a bias which the world of physics, for example, has long abandoned. However, linear thinking continues to pervade critical management studies, especially where it yields results consistent with our leftist inclinations. As critical management theorists, our ontological predisposition to continually rationalise macrosociological shifts in respect of oversimplified linear thinking reveals crude ideological conviction, political prejudice and identity anxiety. This article suggests that we can usefully reflect on the events of 2016 such that critical management studies can (1) dislodge itself from its ideological biases; (2) move away from overly simplistic cause-and-effect thinking and instead pay greater attention to nonlinear logic including, in particular, the pedagogical potential of paradox; (3) actively engage across disciplinary boundaries; and (4) breathe new life into truly ethnographic endeavours to better understand the sorts of factors that contributed to Brexit and Trump's election in the first place.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to explore the social stigmatization of the formerly incarcerated identity and how this affects employment post-release. The authors consider the characteristics of this identity and the identity management strategies that individuals draw from as they navigate employment.Design/methodology/approachThe authors conducted semi-structured interviews with 22 men at various stages of release from federal institutions in Canada. Participants were actively searching for employment, intending to or would consider searching for employment, or had searched for employment in the past post-incarceration. Participant data were simultaneously collected, coded and analyzed using an inductive approach (Gioia et al., 2012).FindingsFormerly incarcerated individuals have a unique awareness of the social stigmatization associated with their criminal record and incarceration history. They are tasked with an intentional choice to disclose or conceal that identity throughout the employment process. Six identity management strategies emerged from their accounts: conditional disclosure, deflection, identity substitution, defying expectations, withdrawal and avoidance strategies. More specifically, distinct implications of criminal record and incarceration history on disclosure decisions were evident. Based on participants' accounts of their reintegration experiences, four aspects that may inform disclosure decisions include: opportune timing, interpersonal dynamics, criminal history and work ethic.Originality/valueThe authors explore the formerly incarcerated identity as a socially stigmatized identity and consider how individuals manage this identity within the employment context. The authors identify incarceration history and criminal record as having distinct impacts on experiences of stigma and identity management strategic choice, thus representing the experience of a "double stigma".

Purpose
The integrated reporting framework seeks to connect a firm's financial and non-financial performance in a single report by displaying how different forms of capital contribute to the firm's value creation. Drawing on impression management and incremental information approaches, the purpose of this paper is to examine how the content and semantic properties of intellectual capital disclosure (ICD) found in integrated reports is associated with firms' performance.


Design/methodology/approach
All reports by European listed firms from 2011 to 2016 available via the integrated reporting emerging practice examples database are analysed. Content analysis is used to assesses the quality of ICDs, whereas a regression analysis tests the variation in semantic properties of ICDs according to firms' performance.


Findings
ICDs in integrated reports are mainly discursive, with a backward looking orientation and a limited focus on human capital. On average, more than half of each ICD is conveyed in a positive tone. As the optimistic tone in firms' ICDs increases, so too does their non-financial performance measured in terms of environmental, social and governance aspects. This finding supports the incremental information approach.


Originality/value
This paper contributes to the current literature on ICDs by introducing new evidence on firms' motivations for non-financial disclosures in integrated reports. By taking a more comprehensive theoretical approach, namely, testing both impression management and incremental information hypotheses, this research extends on prior studies which tested similar relationships in integrated reports but focussed only on the impression management hypothesis.

PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to report the results of an industry-funded qualitative interdisciplinary research project that has produced a new approach to motorway noise management called "noise transformation".Design/methodology/approachFour iterative design tests guided by listening as methodology. These included field recordings, laboratory tests and two field tests. Field tests were conducted in combination with ethnographers, who verified community responses to field-based transformations.FindingsTransformation requires an audible perception of both background and introduced sounds in all instances. Transformation creates a 1–2 dB increase in background sound levels, making it counterintuitive to traditional noise attenuation approaches. Noise transformation is an electroacoustic soundscape design method that treats noise as a "design material". When listening to motorway noise transformations, participants were actually experiencing another rendering of a sound that they had already acquired a degree of attunement to. Thus, they experienced transformations as somehow familiar or normal and easy to feel comfortable with.Originality/valueNoise transformation is a new approach to noise management. Typically, noise management focusses on reduction in dB levels. Noise transformation focusses on changing the perceptual impact of noise to make it less annoying. It brings together urban design, composition and ethnography as a means to think about the future design of outdoor environments affected by motorway traffic noise, and should be of interests to planners, designers and artists. The authors have structured the paper around listening as methodology, through which both design and ethnography outcomes were achieved.

Implementation Government Personnel Management. This study aims to investigatethe implementation of government personnel management at the City District Office TembilahanIndragiri Hilir. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data. The data is compiledfrom observations and interviews with officials at the City District Office Tembilahan Indragiri Hilirwith the duties and functions of the City District Office Tembilahan Indragiri Hilir. Technical analysisin this research is qualitative data that has been obtained in the study were collected, then groupedto serve as an input to be used as evidence in the implementation of scientific writing. Furtherconfirmation of the other informants conducted to obtain valid data. Once the data is processed,further discussion of the qualitative data in the form of descriptive analyzes carefully. Data analysiswas performed inductively, that analysis by drawing conclusions on the data collected from thegeneral form or reasoning to reach conclusions about all the elements - elements that do not studyexamined / investigated. The results showed that the implementation of government personnelmanagement at Head Office Tembilahan City has basically been running well but not fully achievedas objectives. It can be seen from the Head of the management planning apparatus or its staff, thelevel of understanding of the duties and functions of the apparatus in accordance with applicableregulations, the level of sensitivity of job duties with the results achieved, and the priority of thetasks and urgent work and consistency between the tasks and functions of each - each section withthe activities carried out by the Head Office of the City Tembilahan.

This study aims to describe the condition of the capability of East Kalimantan Province Inspectorate, the constraints faced in increasing its capability and the efforts made by Inspectorate of East Kalimantan Province to increase its capability based on internal audit capability model (IACM). This research use desciptive qualitative approach. The scope of the discussion is in East Kalimantan Province Inspectorate. The data used are the primary data obtained from interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation studies, as well as secondary data in the form of documents related to the research. The focus of the research is the capability of the Government Internal Supervisory Apparatus using the internal audit capability model with six indicators, namely Roles and Services, Human Resource Management, Professionalism Practices, Management and Performance Accountability, Organizational Relations and Culture and Governance Structure. The results show the level of capability of Inspectorate of East Kalimantan Province at level 3 with note (there are still elements that must be upgraded by APIP to go to full level), that is the East Kalimantan Provincial Inspectorate must arrange the plan to reach Level 3 on 4 elements as role element and Service , HR Management, Professionalism Practice and Governance Structure. To overcome the matters in these elements, East Kalimantan Provincial Inspectorate performs capability improvement efforts in accordance with the complete capabilities of APIP Under the Regulation of the Head of BPKP Number 1633 / K / JF / 2011 to realize an effective role for clear in Government regulations Number 60 /2008.

The University has a number of data relating to Academic and Higher Education Governance. The large amount of data that requires security, especially in terms of readiness to secure information systems. Maintaining information system security in the university environment aims to maintain confidentiality, fulfill the availability of the system for those who have authority for those who use it and the integrity of the system. The University of National Development "Veteran" Jakarta has work units such as the Faculty, UPT and Bureau where each has the task and function to manage data. The problem is the need to measure the level of information system security to see the maturity of an information system at UPN Veteran Jakarta. OUR Index stands for Information Security Index which is used as a tool to analyze and measure and evaluate the maturity level of information security with the application of SNI ISO / IEC 27001: 2009 standards that can be applied within government agencies. As for the KAMi index version used, namely version 3.1. The method used to solve the problems in OUR index is through six stages, namely the first stage of electronic systems, both information security governance, third information security risk management, the four information security management frameworks, the five asset information management and the six information security technologies. The results obtained after taking measurements using the US Index need improvement in system security in managing information security risks and governance.

La educación superior, caracterizada por el mayor dinamismo del entorno educativo, así como de la sociedad, está sujeta a la influencia de riesgos generales y específicos. El artículo analiza los resultados de una encuesta de expertos, realizada por los investigadores de la Universidad Federal de Kazan, en Rusia y en la Unión Europea, en 2016. En el estudio, se pidió a los participantes que identificaran las fuentes de los riesgos de la educación superior y el riesgo universitario, para analizar los diversos enfoques de gestión del riesgo, utilizados por las universidades en su práctica. Los resultados de la encuesta de expertos mostraron la importancia del desarrollo de métodos aplicados de gestión de riesgos en el sistema de educación superior, la necesidad de estandarizar los procedimientos de gestión de riesgos. ; Higher education, characterized by the increased dynamism of educational environment, as well as society, is subjected to the influence of general and specific risks. The article analyzes the results of expert survey, conducted by the researchers of Kazan Federal University, in Russia and in the European Union, in 2016. In the study, participants were asked to identify the sources of higher education risks and university risk, to analyze the various approaches to risk management, used by universities in their practice.The results of the expert survey showed the importance of development of appliedmethods of risk management in the system of higher education, the need for standardization of risk management procedures.

The circular economy (CE) is an emergent concept to rethink and redesign how our economy works. The concept recognizes effective and efficient economic functioning at multiple scales&mdash ; governments and individuals, globally and locally ; for businesses, large and small. CE represents a systemic shift that builds long-term resilience at multiple levels (macro, meso and micro) ; generating new business and economic opportunities while providing environmental and societal benefits. Blockchain, an emergent and critical technology, is introduced to the circular economy environment as a potential enabler for many circular economic principles. Blockchain technology supported information systems can improve circular economy performance at multiple levels. Product deletion, a neglected but critical effort in product management and product portfolio management, is utilized as an illustrative business scenario as to blockchain&rsquo ; s application in a circular economy research context. Product deletion, unlike product proliferation, has received minimal attention from both academics and practitioners. Product deletion decisions need to be evaluated and analyzed in the circular economy context. CE helps address risk aversion issues in product deletions such as inventory, waste and information management. This paper is the first to conceptualize the relationships amongst blockchain technology, product deletion and the circular economy. Many nuances of relationships are introduced in this study. Future evaluation and critical reflections are also presented with a need for a rigorous and robust research agenda to evaluate the multiple and complex relationships and interplay amongst technology, policy, commerce and the natural environment.

This article aims to analyze Taiwan's government accountability for fishermen who are working in the waters of Nanfangao, Taiwan. Jeremy Bentham through his book "Introduction to the morals and legislation" states that legal duty is nurturing goodness and preventing evil, so the law should provide benefits or usability for the crowd (to serve Utili TY). The community as a basic component can sue the government if in other cases raises losses on the management of public facilities and infrastructure. It also relates to the Taiwan government's liability for legal protection, for which the state's responsibility has been regulated in the SCL (State Compensation Law) or the Taiwan State Compensation Act. As for that would be a case study of bridge collapse which is one of the disability management of state-owned public facilities that cause harm to the community in Taiwan. That article 2 SCL describes the country or Government of Taiwan shall be liable for any form of loss, property damage and loss of life arising from the management of the state's public facilities. This is a real example of the application of Taiwan's accountability to public services as a form of legal protection to the public. The concept of the responsibility in Indonesia is governed by article 1365 BW, that personal accountability is caused by individual events and legal acts. There is a comparative study of government and local Government accountability within the scope of administrative law.

The objective of this work was to analyze the legal arrangements on a very complex theme in the forest sector: the use of a species threatened with extinction, araucaria. After years of intense deforestation, linked to the country's economic growth, after 1960 decade, it was edited an array of regulations aimed to control the forest use through strict laws and expansion of the environmental bureaucracy. In 2014, MMA Decree 443, araucaria was included in the danger category, restricting any timber use, including the ones gathered under forest management. The justification for this inclusion comes from the population reduction, deforestation and logging. Regarding the justification of its inclusion, it is important to note the non-disclosure of official data, an obligation of the State, on the remaining area and number of individuals. Decree 443 collides with the Brazilian forest low removing rights, as forest management, not established by Law number 12.651 of 2012. It also defies the Complementary Law 140 which establishes reports and technical-scientific studies for framing the listed species. Nor does it comply with the steps required in article 5º MMA Decree 43, which precedes Decree 443. By analyzing the regulations regarding the araucaria and its commercial use: there is no law prohibiting the use, through management and planting; what exists are Decrees and resolutions. Whoever is in the messianic right to forbid the cutting of the species, subsidizes itself in Decrees and resolutions. Moreover, who believes they have the right to cut it, is not aware of the legislation.

Quality assurance is a series of processes and related systems to collect, analyze, and report data on the performance and quality of educators and education personnel, programs and institutions. The quality assurance process identifies aspects of achievement and priority for improvement, provides data as a basis for planning and decision making and helps build a culture of continuous improvement. The achievement of the quality of education for primary and secondary education in Indonesia is assessed based on the eight National Education Standards of the BSNP. The regional autonomy policy has an impact on the management of education in the region. Efforts to standardize quality must be the focus of attention in an effort to maintain the quality of education nationally. The quality assurance and improvement system of primary and secondary education in Indonesia operates within an education management and government system that delegates most of the responsibility for implementation to provinces, districts, foundations and schools/madrasahs. Achievement of education quality for primary and secondary education is assessed based on the eight National Education Standards from the BSNP. the system of guaranteeing and improving the quality of education in elementary school education in Gajahmungkur District, Semarang City is related to three main aspects, namely: (1) Studying the concept of Education Quality Assurance, (2) Development of an effective education quality information system for management, decision making in assurance and improving the quality of education, and (3) Continuous Education Quality Assurance System through School Self Evaluation (EDS) to step into the education quality assurance process.
