Relying on in-depth interviews and ethnographic research in California (2011–2018), this article theorizes the experiences of politicized, 1.5-generation Latinx immigrants who have transitioned out of undocumented status. It shows that transitioning out of undocumented status comes with feelings of joy and privilege, as well as with feelings of survivor guilt, ontological fragmentation, and wanting to take up new responsibilities as a way of repaying, and standing in solidarity with, undocumented family and community members. I argue that the transitioning experiences of previously undocumented immigrants relate to (1) their mixed-status families in the context of uneven penalization of undocumented immigrants, (2) the immigrant narrative of struggle and sacrifice, (3) politicization, pressure, and social control within the immigrant rights movement, and (4) their durably embodied undocumented subjectivities. This paper thereby advances more relational understandings of citizenship, (political) subjectivity, and the profound effects of legal violence caused by the citizenship regime.

To assist decision making regarding the National Equine Health Program in the state of Paraná, a study was conducted to estimate the prevalence of infected farms and seropositive animals for Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) and also identify possible risk factors for the disease. The state was divided into three regions, within which about 300 farms were randomly selected. On the selected farms, a minimum number of animals aged 6 months or older were examined to characterize them as infected or free of EIA. In the sampled farms, an epidemiological questionnaire was applied to investigate possible associations between the disease and its characteristics, including sanitary practices and livestock management. The test used was the Agar Gel Immunodiffusion Test. A total of 2818 equids from 889 farms were tested. In the state, the prevalence of infected farms was 1.55% [0.92; 3.00] and the prevalence of seropositive animals was 0.55% [0.27; 1.00]. Introduction of equids showed an association with EIA (OR=5.5 [1.9; 15.9]). Paraná equine owners should be alerted to the need to observe health precautions regarding EIA when introducing animals to their herd. In 2018, the sensitivity of the Surveillance System for EIA in Paraná was only 1.36%, probably insufficient to change the endemic balance of the disease, therefore, needs to be re-evaluated involving in the process all public and private agents interested in the subject.
Sustainable economic growth and development may practically be impossible if the indices of growth are not given the required attention that will translate into an enviable sustainability of the fabrics of growth in Nigeria. This has become important given the decline in micro, small and medium enterprise subsector in Nigeria. The essence of this research is thus, to empirically examine the impact of micro, small and medium enterprises on sustainable economic development in Nigeria. The study covered from 2000 to 2020 and annual time series data were sourced from the CBN Statistical Bulletin, World Development Indicator (WDI) and National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The co-integration and ECM frameworks were used. The results showed that the output of micro, small and medium enterprises has a significant and positive impact on the Per Capita Income (PCY), the exchange rate (EXR) has a significant and positive impact on the micro, small and medium enterprises and Prime Lending Rate (PLR) has a negative and insignificant impact on the micro, small and medium enterprises. Thus, from the results, it was recommended, amongst others, the clustering of micro, small and medium enterprises with similar products, to further improve their output and development process vis-a-vis the growth and development of Nigeria.
Introduction. The article examines a judicial incident from the times of the oprichnina, connected with the accusation of murdering a peasant near prisons in Smolensk. The case was started on the petition of the Smolensk son of the genntrymen V. Sokolov against another representative of the Smolensk service "city" I.V. Bashmakov.
