Modern world development is moving through the globalization of all spheres of social life, which is highlighted by high dynamism, interdependence of events, aggravation of contradictions between countries, deepening of the gap between the levels of welfare of the countries, the emergence of new centers of economic growth and political influence, increasing the vulnerability of all members of the international community to new challenges and threats. In addition, the failure of the existing global and regional structures, the imperfection of legal, political and economic instruments and mechanisms further threaten the security of international security. All this is of interest to the study of international security issues. It is the understanding of the comprehensive system of international security that will enable future professionals to professionally competently strengthen Ukraine's security, preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity and gain credible positions in the global security environment

HighlightsSixteen million died prematurely due to noncommunicable diseases (NCD)—3.4 million in India, the highest worldwide.Financial commitments to NCD do not match the increasing political commitment.India's tax-to-gross domestic product ratio is lower than its BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) counterparts and half of the OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) average.Governments levy sin taxes to inhibit NCD risk factors and expand revenue base.Revenue from sin taxes is usually not earmarked for health or NCD particularly.
International relations at large and Africa's in particular are shaped by the actors' historical location, by what they offer economically and culturally, and by who they are socially. In international relations nations tend to deal with objective conditions as they are or as they are perceived. However, Lumumba-Kasongo demonstrates through case-studies of Liberia and Zaire/Congo that what the objective conditions are may not necessarily be what they ought to be in the national development process.
