A Study of Rural and Native-American College Students' Military Identities, Military Family History, and Reading Interests
This study addresses college students in a Southwestern, economically depressed, rural area, with their state of residence having a high number, per capita, of service-members and veterans of recent wars. Additionally, some students identified as Native American. The study's purpose was to investigate within this sociocultural dynamic to what extent students with a military identity, a military family history, and/or no military-related affiliation associate with this background and also enjoy reading and writing about military topics, especially within the composition classroom. The students sampled enrolled in a first-year-composition class based upon an experimental course model formulated to be military-friendly and military-theme focused, which assisted them in reading about military topics connected to their personal family background and writing about their military-related identity. The article discusses a three-year, mixed-methods study and involves the following student types: seven service-members/veterans and 57 nonveterans, with 15 being the child of a parent(s) with military service. As instruments, the author utilized surveys, interviews, and course papers. The study resulted in several findings. A majority of students reported having strong connections to their personal and/or family military history as factors correlating with their enjoyment of reading about military topics and writing about their military-related backgrounds, including those who served as role models. The study's results have implications for teaching students who are service-members/veterans, have a military-affiliated identity, and/or possess a recent military family history within a first-year-writing classroom featuring military-themed readings and writings. Furthermore, in addressing the call to identify and accommodate student groups and their academic needs, this article has implications for instructing Native American students of the geographical area.

COASTAL RECLAMATION AND ITS IMPLICATION TOWARDS MARINE SOURCES AS ALTERNATIVE NOURISHMENT SUPPLIES TO SUPPORT FOOD SOVEREIGNTY
The overflow of marine sources of Indonesia can be alternative nourishment supplies to support food sovereignty which is currently rice oriented. One of efforts in fishery sectorutilities as the main support to food sovereignty is through coastal management. In line withthe purposes of the declaration sustainable development Goals / SDGs proposed by theUnited Nations related to food sovereignty is to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seasand marine resources for sustainable development. In his inauguration speech, PresidentJokowi stated that maritime development will be one of the priorities of his cabinet. Since2014-2016, FAO reported the second ranked position of Indonesia as the country of fishproducers under China; Indonesia's seas achieve at least 529 of potential biota to supportfood security. This evidences that Indonesia can reach the target of food sovereignty infisheries sector. The overall sea use agrees with regulations, first, Law No. 31 Year 2004 onFisheries as amended by Law No. 45 Year 2009 on Amendment to Law No. 31 Year 2004 onFisheries, second, Law No. 27 year 2007 on The Coastal Areas and Small Islands Managementas amended by Law No. 1 Year 2014 on Amendment to Law No. 27 year 2007 on The CoastalAreas and Small Islands Management. The marine sources to support food sovereignty arerich and potential but are not supported with the government policy as shown by the pass ofcoastal reclamation application regulation. Reclamation will decrease the sources quality ofthe coastal and marine environment. Reclamation impacts the fisherman food needed fromfisheries sector because they lost ocean space and sources. Ocean grabbing by coastalreclamation threats the fisheries livelihood and damage food sovereignty from fisheriessector.

HISTORICAL MEMORY ABOUT SECOND WORLD WAR IN THE CONTEXT OF THREATS OF GOVERNMENT IN UKRAINE
The aim of the research – the character of the Second World war historical memory formation in Ukrainian society and its influence on the process of the state building in Ukraine was determined. The research methodology is based on the principles of historicism, the objectivity of systematic, scientific, as well as the use of general scientific (analysis, synthesis, scientific abstraction) and special-historical (historical-genetic, historical-typological, historical-system) methods and methods of political science (behavioral, cultural, anthropological). The scientific novelty is that for the first time in Ukrainian historiography, on the basis of analysis of the content of scientific and individual journalistic publications, the means of forming historical memory of the Second World War in Ukrainian society are determined, the influence of formation of such historical memory on the process of modern Ukrainian state formation is determined. Review of Eight men in a crate: the ordeal of the advance party of the Trans-Antarctic Expedition 1955–1957 based on the diary of Rainer Goldsmith, by Anthea Arnold
The year 2008 is a milestone in terms of two notable anniversaries relating to Britain's Antarctic history. One hundred years ago, the British made the first territorial claim to the Antarctic via Letters Patent, and in so doing precipitated a process that was to lead to six other countries pressing their own claims. Fifty years ago, the Trans- Antarctic Expedition (TAE) successfully executed the first mechanized crossing of the polar continent. Although a great deal of attention is now being given to the International Geophysical Year (IGY, 1957–1958), I would contend that the TAE, which did not take place under the auspices of the IGY, was an important element in the evolving scientific and political contours of human engagement with the Antarctic.

Comparing the first half of this year with the first half of 1987, domestic demand rose very rapidly, probably by about 8 per cent. Consumer spending, after accelerating for some years, had reached a rate of growth of around 6 per cent. This was now reinforced by a sharp rise in expenditure on fixed investment, which may have been about 10 per cent over this period. This surge in demand was met by a good response from domestic supply, gross domestic product rising by about 5 per cent. But at the same time the boom conditions contributed to a significant deterioration in the balance of payments. A small surplus on current account in the first half of last year has been turned into a deficit at an annual rate of about £11 billion.
The poor between the "culture of poverty" and Miracle in Milan
The issue of understanding, empathy and the relationship to the poor, the socially and economically marginalized segments of most contemporary societies, represents one of the most challenging political socio-economic, humanist, and scientific problems of today. The paper compares two ways of understanding and representing the urban poor -anthropological and cinematographic. The theoretical and practical achievements of Oscar Lewis and his idea of the "culture of poverty" are given as an example of the anthropological study and understanding of the poor. On the other hand, an analysis of the representation of the poor in Vittorio De Sica's film Miracle in Milan (1951) is given as an example of the cinematographic treatment of the issue. The aim of this comparison is the confronting of two viewpoints - one which aims to get to the scientific truth about poverty and the other - which gives a subjective artistic interpretation of the "old and romantic story about the rich man and the pauper" and the consideration of their cognitive and interpretative effects and potential for an anthropological theory and practice on the issue which would be "better" and wider in scope.
