ABSTRACTWomen from low-income families encounter some challenges because of their gender status. Thus, attention is required to improve women's engagement in the socioeconomic development process, a program implemented by the government in the scope of women's welfare. However, the program's impact on women has not been totally positive. Providing training related to Jumputan (tie-dye) batik making is one of the alternatives for women empowerment, particularly among local housewives community (PKK) members in Perum Solo Elok, Mojosongo, Surakarta. Batik is a method of decorating cloth with dye techniques; however, in the majority of Indonesian society, the term batik refers to batik-patterned textiles or printed batik rather than actual batik. This course is intended to support attempts to preserve traditional art, particularly batik artworks. Activities are carried out in collaboration with program partners PKK Perum Solo Elok, Mojosongo, Surakarta. The approach used to carry out this introductory activity prioritizes participant and mentor activeness, which is supported by the use of media and effective and efficient training models, with the goal of training materials being well accepted by trainees, who are PKK members. In accordance with this, the program design, particularly this creative workshop, refers to David Gibson's concept of design phases divided into three broad groups: planning, design, and implementation. The stages of activity implementation include three methods: mutual approach, personal approach, and partnership approach. This skill is to add a variety of skills to partners in order to develop a hobby and business related to tie-dye batik.
The specific purpose and target of this research is to determine the role of family welfare empowerment organizations (PKK) in the prevention and early handling of women and children victims of violence. The reason for researching this topic is the increase in the number of victims of violence against women and children every year. Based on data from the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, it is shown that since 2012 it has increased from 18,718 to 54,041 cases in June 2017 and until February 2018 it has shown 374 cases of violence against women and children. In this case, the Government is responsible for providing optimal services needed by victims, both medical, psychological, and legal assistance in an effort to recover their condition. The government in providing services to victims should cooperate and partner with the community, especially in the prevention and early handling of victims of violence. Prevention and early handling of victims of violence at the village level can empower family welfare empowerment organizations (PKK) which are government partners that are considered effective in the prevention and early handling of women and children victims of violence in their areas. Based on these reasons, it is necessary to study in depth the role of the PKK organization in preventing and early handling of women and children victims of violence. To achieve specific goals and targets in this study, the research method used is a normative research method with a statue approach and a conceptual approach. The results of the study provide an overview 1) there is a clear regulation in the laws and regulations related to the participation of the PKK in preventing and early handling of victims of violence, what needs to be further regulated is regulation in the form of Village Regulations and customary law (awig-awig) related to the participation of PKK and indigenous women in the prevention and early handling of victims of violence. 2) the procedures for preventing and early handling of victims of violence need to be stated in the operational standards in the village and the traditional village paparem.

The aim of research is to explore the perception of replacing the family welfare empowerment (Pemberdayaan Kesejahteraan Keluarga or PKK) to be a women's cooperation based on community. The main activities in PKK focus on family health support such as vaccination for babies, saving turns (arisan) and any issues related to family care. The PKK has developed in the Indonesian community which changes the membership majority to women. The PKK is a unique organization, because it is not legalized but it is permitted by the government to be set among citizens. However, there is one of ten main PKK activities that develop cooperation. A cooperation can develop a member's economy through a main business which is based on the member's deals. It is important to have some grounding in what social capital is, and how online social capital is both similar and different from it. In both instances, social capital involves social networks, with online social capital having the added dimension of residing within the structural ecosystem of digital networks.
