The integration of women into the rural development process
In: NEPRU Working Paper, No. 4
The study is based on open-ended interviews which the researcher conducted (in May and June 1990) mainly with women in the northern and southern parts of Namibia. It should facilitate the identification and definition of the constraints facing women in the rural areas. The main issues addressed during the interviews were water availability, agricultural production, education and health services, and employment opportunities. (DÜI-Hff)

Economic integration within Greater China: Trade and investment flows between China, Hong Kong and Taiwan
In: The China quarterly: an international journal for the study of China, S. 711-745
ISSN: 0305-7410, 0009-4439
Economic integration is essentially a process of unification, the means whereby coherence is imposed upon previously separate, even disparate, geographical regions. According to the authors, cultural and linguistic affinities have no doubt helped to facilitate the economic integration of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. But international trade and foreign investment have been its most potent stimuli. They discuss and analyse various aspects of economic integration between China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. (DÜI-Sen)

Regional monetary integration
In: A Council of Foreign Relations book
This book seeks to explain why governments contemplate regional monetary integration and why some country groups are more likely than others to exercise that option. It also explains why some country groups may be more successful than others, and the limited relevance of the European experience for those other country groups. The book is not written for professional economists, though it synthesizes a large body of economic literature. It is written for a wider audience, including policy makers and students of international relations.
