Software Quality Assurance in INDIGO-DataCloud project: a converging evolution of software engineering practices to support European Research e-Infrastructures
From the advent of Grid technology - as the new paradigm of distributed computing - to the current days of Cloud computing models, the continuous need of new tools and services to match the scientific community requirements has been addressed in Europe through dedicated software development projects for e-Infrastructure creation, operation and management. This work presents the most signi cant software quality breakthroughs obtained in one of such projects, INDIGO-DataCloud, the main challenges and barriers confronted throughout the lifespan of the project, and how they were partially or totally overcome. The knowledge base established throughout the last 15 years of diverse software development initiatives in Europe for sustaining distributed research e-Infrastructures, supported by the advances in the area of software engineering, de nitely contributed to improve the quality and reliability of the software delivered, and consequently, the operational stability of the European e-Infrastructures. INDIGO-DataCloud project is a good evidence of such insights, where, unlike the preceding trend found in past projects, the enforcement of Software Quality Assurance practices has been present since the very early stages of the software lifecycle. ; DataGrid - Research and Technological Development for an International Data Grid project has received funding from the European Union's Fifth Framework Programme under grant agreement IST-2000-25182E. The phenomenon of mental inflation and projection in politic
In: Ukrainian Society, Band 30, Heft 3, S. 119-135
ISSN: 2518-735X
Social transformation is not a linear process. Its trajectory contains items that substantially describe the opposite processes of inversion. This situation can be fully attributed to Ukraine after 2006. Under this fact the policy of that time can be regarded as irrational sphere, the main laws which are not in the minds of individuals, but in their collective unconscious. It also determines the algorithms of crisis recurrence of political system in general. One of the key determinants that define the nature of Politics conduct are pathopsychological processes, including mental inflation and projection, which are considered in this article.

Preferred antiretroviral drugs for the next decade of scale up
In: Journal of the International AIDS Society, Band 15, Heft 2
ISSN: 1758-2652
Global commitments aim to provide antiretroviral therapy (ART) to 15 million people living with HIV by 2015, and recent studies have demonstrated the potential for widespread ART to prevent HIV transmission. Increasingly, countries are adapting their national guidelines to start ART earlier, for both clinical and preventive benefits. To maximize the benefits of ART in resource‐limited settings, six key principles need to guide ART choice: simplicity, tolerability and safety, durability, universal applicability, affordability and heat stability. Currently available drugs, combined with those in late‐stage clinical development, hold great promise to simplify treatment in the short term. Over the longer term, newer technologies, such as long‐acting formulations and nanotechnology, could radically alter the treatment paradigm. This commentary reviews recommendations made in an expert consultation on treatment scale up in resource‐limited settings.

Sport-Arenen – Sport-Kulturen – Sport-Welten: deutsch-französisch-europäische Perspektiven im "langen" 20. Jahrhundert
In: Vice versa Band 7
