The mid-war period had been characterized by transformations of great importance regarding the Greek social and economic field. During the first two decades of the 20th century, due to different causes (geopolitical upheavals in the region, inflow of refugees, changes in the political system etc) several aspects of the social structure had been developed in a way that led to a more positive point of view towards new professional groups that had been emerged, mainly technicians such as agriculturists, architects, civil engineers or economists. In Foucault's terms, these scientists and scholars who remain cloistered in their field, are considered to be "specific" intellectuals, in opposition to intellectuals par excellence, that is the universal intellectuals who used to play the role of a universal consciousness and a counterpoise to the service of the State or Capital. Their new "truth", is not outside the systems of power and because of that "truth" is to be understood here as a system of ordered procedures for the production, regulation, distribution, circulation and operation of statements, creating a "regime" of truth. However, as Pierre Bourdieu put it, the authority of the specialist on a certain field (agriculture or architecture, in this case) gives him/her the right to intervene publicly in order to indicate the most appropriate path to the rise of productivity or the refinement of the civic way of life – which ends to be a political intervention. These particular professional groups proved to be the pioneers in the project of reorganizing and rearranging the structure of country's rural and civic space, a political project, the leading management of which had been held by the Venizelist party and its modernization program. As a whole, it proved to be a liberal and effective project, at least in the beginning. Eventually, this evolution would also be accompanied by the rise of a modern culture of emancipation as far the mid-war Greek society concerned. It remains an interesting issue to search for this new mentality of emancipation in the forthcoming years of massive social mobilization, especially during the resistance and civil war period. It ended up, however, raising struggles against other powerful and competitive elite groups, i.e. lawyers, but the most important was that this tendency to larger autonomy raised fears from the part of the political power and the state apparatus who tried to control and patronize the specific intellectuals.

Već više od dve godine traje velika pan-evropska debata o Budućnosti evropske socijal-demokratije (2009-2011) kao pokušaj odgovora na izazove globalne krize, ali i na duboku i dugotrajnu krizu same socijal-demokratije. Dok su tokom 2000. godine socijal-demokrati bila na vlasti u većini evropskih zemalja (11 od 15 članica EU ), danas vladaju u samo nekoliko perifernih zemalja Evrope (4 od 27 članica EU u 2011). Iako u nekoliko velikih zemalja još uvek privlače 20-30% birača, odnosno poseduju koalicioni kapacitet i za osvajanje vlasti, ipak je marginalizacija ključni trend. U traganju za vlastitim identitetom, novom paradigmom, pan-evropska debata problematizuje ključne teme i izazove naše civilizacije, kao što su globalizacija, logika kapitalizma i njegove moguće reforme, smisao i značaj Evropske Unije. Ova debata ponovo vraća u javni diskurs i niz ključnih koncepata na kojima se gradi zamisao o 'dobrom društvu', kao što su društvene vrednosti, kultura, značaj srednje klase i ekološka i socijalna održivost. ; We are in the third year of the pan-european debate on the future of European Social Democracy (ESD). It is a response to the challenges of the global economic crisis, but also a response to the deep internal crisis within the ESD. While the social democrats were in power in the majority of European countries in the year 2000 (11 of 15 EU members), they are rulling parties in only few peripheral countries in 2011 (4 of 27 EU countries). Althouth they are still able to attact 20-30% of voters, and with toghether with their partners are even able to form goverments in some countries, their margananalization is a major trend. This is not only because of electoral defeats, but it is due to membership decline, shaken ties with trade unions, lack of an alternative program in a situation when neoliberalism is shaken and political actors have searching for new formulae. In a search of their own identity, new paradigm and attractive program, pan-european debate critically analyze key issues and challenges of our civilization, such as globalization, nature of capitalism and its possible reforms, meaning and importance of the EU , the role of government regarding markets. This debate has brouth back into public discourse many important concepts that constitute the idea of 'good society,' such as social values (equailty, solidarity, social justice), buth also importance of culture, middle class, and social and environmental sustainability.

Prompted by a perception that a gay sub-culture developed in the major urban areas of South Africa, and that this formed a threat to state security and to the established mores of society, the Minister of Justice, PC Pelser, appointed a Parliamentary Select Committee in 1968. The essence of the task given to the Select Committee was to provide clarity to the Department of Justice about a definition of homosexual acts as well as the causes, manifestations and extent of these practices. In addition, the Committee had to ascertain whether South African society was ready to decriminalise sodomy and "unnatural" sexual practices. A major concern was whether gay men were a danger to minors. The Committee received numerous written submissions and held regular meetings to hear oral testimonies, which covered a wide spectrum of opinions and issues. Representatives of the South African Police and the Afrikaans churches vehemently opposed homosexuality and homosexual activities. Ministers from the English churches pleaded for tolerance but with very specific preconditions. The position of the lawyers, psychiatrists and psychologists was clear: that homosexuality was not a threat, could not be "cured" and should be accepted. The investigation resulted in widespread debate, revealing facets of the moral dynamics of white South African society in the 1960s. Inter alia, issues such as the right of the state to make laws on morality and intrude on the privacy of individuals, diverse interpretations of the Bible, the level of intolerance for the "other" and the apparent difficulties to enforce any amendments to the Act - as far as homosexuality was concerned - were raised. By emphasising these issues, the intention of this article is to give an indication as to what extent gay white men were tolerated. To realize this, a discussion of the context of a very strong conservative government that underpinned the activities of Select Committee was essential. The upshot was that the deep-rooted conservatism of the state prevailed, finding expression in harsher and specific measures in the Immorality Amendment Act of 1969. The strong arguments from some church representatives, as well as the medical and legal fraternities, were discarded. Clearly the time was not yet ripe for liberalising sexuality in South Africa. Research for this article relied on the extensive testimonies before the Select Commission as published in its final report. In addition, relevant submissions in the Gay and Lesbian Archive at the University of the Witwatersrand helped to form a comprehensive picture and made qualitative analysis possible.

Resumen: En sus orígenes, la globalización se ha manifestado desde una perspectiva económica y financiera de un nuevo orden mundial, fuera del marco político de los Estados nacionales e investida de cierta apoliticidad. Sin embargo, en su misma retórica ha presionado el final de la política al auspiciar una "salida de lo político" del marco de categorías del Estado nacional. En esta cultura global, la ecología ha resultado un recurso muy eficaz, haciéndose cargo y delineando una cosmovisión naturista e infrahumana de la sociedad y de la realidad en su conjunto. En Tomás de Aquino, aunque sin usar el término y el concepto como tal, encontramos más que un tratado de ecología, y desde todas sus perspectivas: cosmológica, antropológica, ética y teológica. Es una verdadera teoría ecológica casi explícita en torno de su tratado de la creación y de la providencia divinas. Se confronta la ecología tomasiana con el fundamentalismo ecológico, concluyendo con una propuesta de la teología dinamicista que, si bien intenta rescatar el "verdor del cristianismo" no puede evitar el panteísmo y una desacralización de la naturaleza. En este marco contemporáneo, pareciera que Dios ha muerto y que la Tierra pasa a ser la medida de todas las cosas. Surge, entonces, el nuevo dios verde. ; Abstract: At the beginning, globalization was seen from the economic and financial perspective of a new worldwide order, away from national States´ political frameworks and invested with certain apolitical characteristics. Nevertheless, in its very same rhetoric it has precipitated the end of politics by sponsoring a "way-out of the political" within the framework of national State categories. In this global culture, ecology has been a very efficient resource, by taking over and outlining a naturist and inhuman worldview of society and reality as a whole. Even though the term and the concept are not used as such, in Thomas Aquinas we can find more than one treaty on ecology from every perspective: cosmological, anthropological, ethical and theological as well. There is a real ecological theory, almost implicit, around his treaty on divine creation and providence. Thomas Aquinas´ ecology is confronted with the ecological fundamentalism, concluding with a proposal of the dynamicist theology that, all though, attempts to rescue the "Christian greenness", it cannot avoid pantheism and nature desecration. In this contemporary framework, it seems to be that God is dead and the Earth has become the measure of all things. Then, the new green god emerges.

This study takes as its point of departure the diet in the summer of the year 1579 in Vienna. Leonhard von Harrach, Privy Councellor of Emperor Rudolf II, negotiated with leaders of the oppositional protestant nobility, who wanted to push through freedom of religious confession in the landesherrlichen cities and market towns in Lower Austria. Analysis of Harrachs's connections to opposition, his scope of action as a member of the government, councellor and mentor of the young, Spanish-catholic oriented Kaiser, professional court politician, nobleman, leader of an Austrian power elite, head of the 'House of Harrach' and a Catholic interested in reaching reconciliation with the protestants, can show the special structures of this conflict. The historiographic basis had largely to be assembled from scratch since, e.g., in recorded histories and chronics very little mention is made of an Austrian power elite within the Habsburg monarchy of the 16th century, which consisted of land-owning noblemen. The existence of this power elite has considerable consequences in gaining a proper understanding of the 'dualism' of Ständestaat as a complex dualistic system of political cooperation in the Habsburg monarchy. This power elite of functionaries from the lower nobility had a strong position in court and administration and also in estates in the Eastern hereditary lands of the Habsburgs. Noble families such as the Roggendorf, Jörger, Hoffmann, Windischgrätz or Khevenhüller, all in the same social network as Harrach, were among the most prominent families to profit from the more central organization of the state and at the same time they produced the most important leaders of the protestant opposition in Vienna and Graz. Although the conflict culture of the dualistic system wasn't strong enough against confessional polarization, the cooperation of the Habsburg dynasty with the court-oriented nobility from the provinces of the hereditary lands proved to be such a successful model of governmental organization that in the Austrian-Bohemian 'Dyarchy' it was continued on a larger scale. Skills of power elite made it possible to Harrach and his friend and relative Jörger, leader of the opposition, to employ a form of crisis management to moderate the oppositions after 1580. But the polarization of religious confessions had destroyed the Irenic of Harrach. His initiation into the Spanish-catholic Habsburg Order of the Golden Fleece gave the decisive impulse, to take on, along with the Archduke Ernst, the overall direction of moderate, but compulsory re-Catholization of the Lower-Austrian cities and market towns, organized by Melchior Khlesl, official of the Bishopric Passau in Vienna.

Abstract Background MDFT (Multidimensional Family Therapy) is a family based outpatient treatment programme for adolescent problem behaviour. MDFT has been found effective in the USA in adolescent samples differing in severity and treatment delivery settings. On request of five governments (Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland), MDFT has now been tested in the joint INCANT trial (International Cannabis Need of Treatment) for applicability in Western Europe. In each of the five countries, study participants were recruited from the local population of youth seeking or guided to treatment for, among other things, cannabis use disorder. There is little information in the literature if these populations are comparable between sites/countries or not. Therefore, we examined if the study samples enrolled in the five countries differed in baseline characteristics regarding demographics, clinical profile, and treatment delivery setting. Methods INCANT was a multicentre phase III(b) randomized controlled trial with an open-label, parallel group design. It compared MDFT with treatment as usual (TAU) at and across sites in Berlin, Brussels, Geneva, The Hague and Paris. Participants of INCANT were adolescents of either sex, from 13 through 18 years of age, with a cannabis use disorder (dependence or abuse), and at least one parent willing to take part in the treatment. In total, 450 cases/families were randomized (concealed) into INCANT. Results We collected data about adolescent and family demographics (age, gender, family composition, school, work, friends, and leisure time). In addition, we gathered data about problem behaviour (substance use, alcohol and cannabis use disorders, delinquency, psychiatric co-morbidity). There were no major differences on any of these measures between the treatment conditions (MDFT and TAU) for any of the sites. However, there were cross-site differences on many variables. Most of these could be explained by variations in treatment culture, as reflected by referral policy, i.e., participants' referral source. We distinguished 'self-determined' referral (common in Brussels and Paris) and referral with some authority-related 'external' coercion (common in Geneva and The Hague). The two referral types were more equally divided in Berlin. Many cross-site baseline differences disappeared when we took referral source into account, but not all. Conclusions A multisite trial has the advantage of being efficient, but it also carries risks, the most important one being lack of equivalence between local study populations. Our site populations differed in many respects. This is not a problem for analyses and interpretations if the differences somehow can be accounted for. La tradición etnopsiquiátrica en la Argentina ha contribuido a construir un concepto de otredad que reduce la diversidad cultural a una exotización de la diferencia, sostenido en un quiebre filiatorio de las raíces colectivas, separadas de la cultura hegemónica, para dejar incuestionable su propio edificio conceptual y las razones científicas de sus prácticas, siendo de este modo sustancial a la colonización de la subjetividad. Esta corriente de pensamiento interdisciplinario tiene su auge en el horizonte ideológico de las prácticas enmarcadas en la última Dictadura Militar Argentina. Nuestro trabajo es una investigación cualitativa de revisión y análisis de documentos de diferentes escritos científico-disciplinares y su cruzamiento con aspectos histórico-ideológicos, en especial desde la perspectiva biopolítica de la salud mental. Utilizamos la metodología de análisis crítico del discurso y la tradición genealógica foucaultiana aplicada a reconstrucciones históricas realizadas sobre la concepción de otredad y sus efectos en la subjetividad. Hemos establecido que las incursiones etnográficas realizadas en este terreno encuentran filiaciones en las escuelas de Antropología fenomenológica argentina y en la Psiquiatría transcultural argentina, que han construido al otro a partir de categorías como la de " irracionalidad", "pereza", "alcoholismo", y otras que invisibilizan el componente de dominación biopolítico de la otredad. This leads to keep these practices' conceptual constructions unquestioned as well as the scientific reasons supporting them, thus being substantial to the colonization of subjectivity. This interdisciplinary school of thought has its peak on the practices framed in the ideological horizon of the last military dictatorship in Argentina. Our work is a qualitative research of revision and analysis of documents written in different scientific disciplines and their connection with historical and ideological aspects, especially from the perspective of biopolitics on mental health issues. We use the methodology of critical discourse analysis and Foucauldian genealogical tradition applied to historical reconstructions ??on the concept of otherness and its effects on subjectivity. We have established that the ethnographic raids conducted in this field found filiations in Argentinean Schools of phenomenological anthropology and transcultural psychiatry, which have built "the other" based in categories such as "irrationality", "laziness", "alcoholism" and others that make invisible the biopolitical dominance component of otherness. Abstract. Come invertire la rotta della svendita indiscriminata del territorio? Quale sviluppo promuovere in accordo con le esigenze ambientali ed economiche? Con l'obiettivo di porre le basi di un effettivo superamento delle criticità determinate da abuso o uso improprio del costruito, l'Università di Palermo ha promosso: il Progetto APRAE (Analisi, Prevenzione e Recupero dell'Abusivismo Edilizio), il Progetto HERA (Habitat Edilizia Recupero Ambiente) e il Progetto Egeo_Med sorto dalla virtuosa collaborazione con il Ministero della Cultura Ellenico (Grecia). Le ricerche hanno ap- profondito da una parte la struttura fenomenologica dell'abusivismo e gli squilibri apportati al «sistema abitativo»; dall'altra hanno individuato strategie di recupero competitive nell'ottica della sostenibilità, dell'innovazione e della partecipazione. ; In the modern scenario of economical social and environmental crisis, even the areas of architectural/technology research are called to make resurrect a political liability able to hustle the "community" upon critical issues and loss of balance that affect the built environment and housing system, claiming the role of the University in the formulation of appropriate design strategies, to address scientific and technical choices of action. In this perspective the study on the phenomenon of unauthorized building is a process of research and experimentation, aimed to protect the heritage and to deepen the culture of design and environmental technology. In the increasing of the abusive building we find a chronic lack of project, known in its specificity of process whose aim is a quality product, both formal, performancing, and structural. And it is in this lack of project, in this irresponsible way of building, where we can see the real problem of abusive building. Investigating on the illegal housing production by triggering compensatory actions derived from a critical reading of the imbalances imposed to the housing system, thus means to come back - as Edmund Husserl says- «an die Sachen selbst» 'to things' themselves, whose settlement is made of and investigate on its phenomenological processes that have involved and/or distorted it generating the crisis of values, we must understand its structural features in its genesis and overlapping, we need to analyze the critical points and lines of force, which characterize and distinguish its transformations. We need a strategic program opened to interdisciplinary scientific debate, specifically to those sectors interested on routing every forecast concerning any changes of the existent both in terms of urban and environmental regeneration, and recovery of the building.

Indonesia sebagai Negara Kepulauan, yang luas wilayahnya 70% merupakan wilayah lautan. Di wilayah lautan ini terkandung potensi ekonomi kelautan yang sangat besar dan beragam, antara lain sumber daya ikan. Dengan melimpahnya sumber daya ikan maka seharusnya pendapatan nelayan sangatlah memadai untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya. Namun dalam realita tidaklah demikian, kemiskinan masih banyak melanda kehidupan nelayan. Dari sisi ekonomi hasil tangkapan nelayan masih jauh dari memadahi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan hidupnya. Hal ini disebabkan karena minimnya modal yang dimiliki nelayan, tekanan dari pemilik modal, sistem bagi hasil yang tidak adil, perdagangan atau pelelangan ikan yang tidak transparan (dikuasai tengkulak) dan otoritas tidak punya wibawa untuk mengatur dan menegakkan aturan. Serta pola atau budaya kerja yang masih apa adanya. Kondisi kemiskinan yang dialami nelayan menyebabkan mereka rentan konflik dan hanya menjadi objek. Hukum yang seharusnya memberikan perlindungan ternyata juga tidak optimal. Dalam Undang-Undang Perikanan hanya ada 2 ayat dalam pasal 1 yang mengatur nelayan, itu pun hanya ayat yang memberikan pengertian nelayan dan nelayan kecil. Bahkan pengertian itu pun berbeda dengan pengertian nelayan tradisional dalam penjelasan pasal 18 (6) Undang-Undang Pemerintahan Daerah serta dalam reali-tasnya. With the abundance of fish resources, it should make the fishermen earning to complete their necessities. In fact, it is not so, the poverty still have been collided with the lives of many fishermen. From the economic side, what the fishermen catch, is so far from enough to complete their necessities. This is caused by lack of capital owned by fishermen, the pressure from the owners of capital, profit-sharing system that is not fair, trade or auctioning process of fish that are not transparent (controlled by middlemen). Furthermore the authorities have no authority to regulate and enforce the rules. In addition, the pattern or work culture that is still what it is. The conditions of poverty which is experienced by fishermen led to their conflict and only to be the object. The law should provide protection has not been optimal yet. In the fishery law, there are only 2 verse in paragraph 1 regulating fishermen, also it is only the verse giving understanding of fishermen and small fishermen. Even it gives different understanding that traditional fishermen in the explanation of paragraph 18 (6) Local Government Act as well as in reality. The different understanding gives impact to the fishermen.

The current article surveys the scope and the major assumptions of domestic critical discourse on literary translation from English into Lithuanian since 1990. The market conditions have changed enormously since Lithuania moved to a market-free economy and chose a democratic ruling system, thus affecting all the spheres of culture, including literary and translation production. Critical evaluation of quality, adequacy, norms and other related issues of literary translation does not seem to keep pace with a rapid production of literary translation. Since the publication of a textbook on translation by Armalytė and Pažūsis (1990), no other fundamental work has been published in this area. The current review of critical discourse on literary translation includes two major sources of periodical literature – that is, academic papers in scholarly magazines and critical reviews in newspapers and magazines targeting wider readership. The major aim of this review is to identify the potentials and limits of national critical discourse by examining topic areas, critical standards applied to the evaluation of actual translations, and some metadiscoursal issues. ; Straipsnyje apžvelgiami akademinėje ir populiarioje spaudoje skelbti straipsniai apie grožinės literatūros vertimus iš anglų kalbos į lietuvių kalbą. Kaip atskaitos taškas pasirinkti 1990 metai, kadangi po nepriklausomybės atgavimo Lietuvos ekonominė rinka ir akademinė aplinka gerokai pasikeitė, neišvengiamai darydamos įtaką vertimų paklausai ir pobūdžiui, vertimo darbų kokybei, darbo santykiams ir grožinės literatūros bei jos vertimų kultūros sanklodai. Išaugus grožinės literatūros vertimo paklausai ir verstinei literatūrai užgožus nacionalinę, kritika nespėja reaguoti į vertimų gausą. Taip pat kyla klausimas, ar nacionalinė kritika adekvačiai ir metodiškai aprašo, analizuoja ir komentuoja grožinės literatūros vertimo problemas. Pagrindinis šios apžvalgos tikslas – įvardyti kritinės ir akademinės analizės tendencijas, galinčias nužymėti gaires tolesniems moksliniams tyrimams, suformuluoti hipotezes bei apibrėžti temines vertimo mokslinių tyrimų grupes. Nors grožinės literatūros vertimų gausu, akademinė aplinka neskuba keisti programų ir vertimo teoriją dėstyti kaip atskirą dalyką. Gausesni ir nuoseklesni tyrimai galėtų suteikti pagrindą universitetinei vertimo studijų disciplinai. Straipsnyje kritinė ir analitinė medžiaga grupuojama temiškai pagal nagrinėjamas problemas, nurodomi teoriniai bei metodiniai vertimo kritikos trūkumai ir stokojamos grandys. Akivaizdu, kad lietuvių kritikos tradicija nevientisa (plėtojosi su dideliais istoriniais pertrūkiais), stinga didesnės apimties diachroninių ir lyginamųjų studijų, į jos akiratį nepatenka kai kurios itin svarbios metodinės priemonės bei vertimo klausimai (kad ir grožinio vertimo didaktika ir standartai). Kadangi šis apžvalginis darbas apie lietuvių grožinės literatūros vertimų kritikos postkolonijinę būklę yra vienas pirmųjų, jo autorė tikisi paskatinti akademinės bendruomenės dialogą šia tema, pritraukti daugiau dėmesio kritikos kultūrai, kuri daro įtaką vertimo kokybei ir vertimo teorijos raidai.

Background: Pragmatic trials of public health interventions outside the NHS are relatively scarce, much needed and face particular challenges. These include funding, of intervention costs in particular; trial implementation in professional and organisational cultures unused to randomised trial procedures, including randomisation, maintaining the counterfactual, recruitment; and relevance of findings for and translation into policy and practice. Objectives: The current NPRI funded trial of SFP 10-14 UK is presented as a case study to discuss these issues, solutions and remaining barriers. The SFP 10-14 UK programme aims to strengthen areas of family life that protect against substance misuse, for example, parenting, communication, and young people's resilience skills. The SFP 10-14 UK is being delivered by statutory and voluntary agencies in six local authority areas across Wales, and is offered to mixed groups comprised of families from the general population, and families who may experience/present challenges within a group setting. Methods: The trial aims to recruit 748 families, 374 of whom will be randomised to receive the usual services available to families within their local area. 374 families will receive the SFP 10-14 UK in addition to usual care. Families are identified by staff employed within the statutory services and voluntary sectors and referred to embedded research staff for recruitment. Results: Challenges encountered related to a lack of awareness of the randomised trial as a research paradigm among staff and key referring agencies, related concerns about the ethics of randomisation and the maintenance of the counterfactual among the usual care group, and challenges regarding the maintenance of recruitment and intervention fidelity. Whilst a challenge in itself, partnership working with delivery agencies, programme trainers, and the Welsh Assembly Government at all stages of the development, funding and conduct of the trial has proved an important strategy to overcome these issues. Conclusions: This trial seeks to generate evidence on the effectiveness and cost effectiveness of the SFP10-14 UK which is of direct relevance to policy makers, commissioners and practitioners. The trial highlights that strategic partnership working, the winning of 'hearts and minds' regarding the ethics and operationalisation of randomisation, and maintaining the balance between internal and external validity are key areas of focus for the successful conduct of pragmatic trials in non-NHS settings. The lessons learnt from its implementation will be important for future multi-sector/agency policy trials and for role out of the intervention if found to be efficacious.

El presente trabajo forma parte del proyecto de investigación "Los jóvenes frente a la Historia" dirigido por Luis Cerri y Gonzalo de Amézola, cuyo objeto es abordar el estado actual de la enseñanza y del aprendizaje de la Historia en Argentina, Brasil y Uruguay. El proyecto parte de reconocer como problema la "falta de conocimientos sistemáticos sobre los resultados de la enseñanza de la historia, las características de la conciencia histórica y la cultura política de los jóvenes". El artículo centra su análisis en las respuestas a las preguntas referidas a los gobiernos militares, la democracia y el futuro de los jóvenes, presentes en una encuesta que realizaron en el 2008 alumnos de entre 15 y 16 años de distintas escuelas de la Argentina para acercarnos a sus conocimientos sobre dichos conceptos y al papel de la enseñanza de la Historia en su construcción. Al mismo tiempo se utilizan registros de clases de escuelas secundarias de la ciudad de La Plata para conocer de modo cualitativo las modalidades concretas que asumen las prácticas de la enseñanza en historia en las aulas ; The present work is part of the research project called "Youth and History", supervised by Luis Cerri and Gonzalo de Amézola. Its aim is to deal with the current situation of History teaching and learning in Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. The project develops from the recognition that there is a problem in "the lack of systematic knowledge about the results of history teaching, the characteristics of conscience in history and the political culture of young people". The article focuses its analysis on the answers to the questions about military governments, democracy and the future of young people, presents in a survey given by 15 and 16-year-old students from different schools in Argentina in 2008. The purpose of the questions was to get closer to the students' knowledge on such topics and the role of History teaching in process. Índice Siglo y medio de consolidación disciplinar. De la década prodigiosa a la pérdida de ilusiones y las incertidumbres de fin de siglo. Rasgos básicos del planeamiento urbano español contemporáneo. Los riesgos: hacia la desregulación de uso del suelo por vía jurídica o de hecho. Caminos de innovación en el marco de la cultura de planeamiento. Resumen El urbanismo español en este fin de siglo presenta incertidumbres derivadas de factores como la erosión ideológica, la creciente dispersión legislativa, las rutinas profesionales y administrativas y la emergencia de un antiurbanismo sociológico. Tras enumerar algunos de los rasgos básicos del planeamiento español contemporáneo -su carácter municipalista, la escisión entre la planificación de las grandes infraestructuras y la planificación urbana, el afán compresivo de los planes generales, la separación entre urbanismo regulador y urbanismo transformador, el predominio de la extensión frente al mantenimiento y la reforma interior-, el autor se refiere a los riesgos derivados de una desregulación del uso del suelo, sea por vía jurídica o de hecho. Por último, señala algunas vías de innovación en el marco de la cultura del planeamiento: cambio de escala en los instrumentos de ordenación y gestión, simplificación de los documentos de planeamiento, integración de los modelos de transporte y usos del suelo, la articulación entre los objetivos básicos de planeamiento y los mecanismos de flexibilidad, el mayor énfasis en la recualificación frente a la extensión, el control de las externalidades. Abstract Spanish urban planning at this close of the century presents uncertainties stemming from factors such as ideological erosion, increasing legislative dispersion, professional and administrative routines, and the emergence of a sociological anti-urbanism. After pointing out some of the fundamental traits of contemporary Spanish planning - its municipalist character, the gap between the planning of large infrastructures and urban planning, the compressive zeal of the general plans, the separation between regulatory and operational urbanism, the prevalence of sprawl rather than maintenance and brownfield redevelopment -, the author addresses the risks arising from the de-regulation of land use, whether it be de facto or by law. Lastly he points out some channels of innovation within the framework of the planning culture: a change in scale in the planning and management instruments, streamlining of the planning procedures, integration of transport and land use, articulation between the basic planning objectives and the flexibility mechanisms, a greater emphasis on rehabilitation as opposed to sprawl, and control of externalities.
