Sample data plays an important role in land cover (LC) map validation. Traditionally, they are collected through field survey or image interpretation, either of which is costly, labor-intensive and time-consuming. In recent years, massive geo-tagged texts are emerging on the web and they contain valuable information for LC map validation. However, this kind of special textual data has seldom been analyzed and used for supporting LC map validation. This paper examines the potential of geo-tagged web texts as a new cost-free sample data source to assist LC map validation and proposes an active data collection approach. The proposed approach uses a customized deep web crawler to search for geo-tagged web texts based on land cover-related keywords and string-based rules matching. A data transformation based on buffer analysis is then performed to convert the collected web texts into LC sample data. Using three provinces and three municipalities directly under the Central Government in China as study areas, geo-tagged web texts were collected to validate artificial surface class of China's 30-meter global land cover datasets (GlobeLand30-2010). A total of 6283 geo-tagged web texts were collected at a speed of 0.58 texts per second. The collected texts about built-up areas were transformed into sample data. User's accuracy of 82.2% was achieved, which is close to that derived from formal expert validation. The preliminary results show that geo-tagged web texts are valuable ancillary data for LC map validation and the proposed approach can improve the efficiency of sample data collection. ; Hou, D., Chen, J., Wu, H., Li, S., Chen, F., & Zhang, W. The voluntary sector has long been seen as the foundation of a healthy civil society (DeTocqueville, 1961; Leonard & Onyx, 2003). Yet, substantial growth in the last two decades in demand for voluntary sector services in Canada has been accompanied by a significant reduction in government resources supporting the sector's activities (Browne, 1996). This confluence of sector growth and decreased governmental support has resulted in increased competition among voluntary organizations for both capital and human resources (Meinhard & Foster, 2000). Furthermore, the ethnic transformation of Canadian society raises knowledge, policy and practical issues across all sectors, including the voluntary sector. These conditions have pushed many in the voluntary sector to reach beyond their traditional bases of support to consider hitherto untapped segments of society. However, research on the Canadian voluntary sector, particularly with a cross-cultural lens, is a relatively new research domain, with many gaps in the knowledge base. Berger (2004) and Berger & Azaria (2004) have proposed, tested and supported a framework that traces the relationship between sub-group identity and volunteering, as mediated by attitudes, norms and social barriers. In this paper we extend this framework in order to consider the role of volunteering in social integration. (See Figure 1 below.) We use the 2002 Ethnic Diversity Survey (EDS) not only to investigate this relationship in general, but also to examine how it might be moderated by generation and ethnic identification. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a broad impact on the global tourism world since the end of 2019. Data shows that international tourist arrivals declined sharply in the first half of 2020 (-65%) compared to 2019. The strategy has been implemented by various special countries, the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism proclaimed the principle of Adapting to New Habits (AKB) in the Indonesian tourism industry as an integral part of the permit to reopen tourism businesses and destinations. The IMR principles in Indonesian tourism are applied from a strategic and technical perspective as well as from supply chain changes to the needs and demands of the management of tourists. This research was produced to be able to see the readiness of tourist destinations in the region, especially Tourism Villages in dealing with the Covid-19 situation and conditions with several strategies that have been set by the central government starting from CHSE and digitalization for Tourism Villages. This study used a quantitative research method with a description that describes each goal starting from the 3A condition, the Health Protocol, and its digitization. This mapping is very important to determine the direction of the potential development of Cihanjawar Tourism Village as a tourist destination
