This study examines the resolution of conflicts between states based on the peacefulconcept, while the ways that based on violence and military force has been consideredby the international community as an illegal concept. The method of study is to compareand analyze the basic principles of resolution conflict based on peaceful that contained inthe international law and Islamic law. The result of research, it is known that resolutionof conflict which based on peaceful refer to how effectiveness of governance or goodgovernance, mediation, investigation, conciliation and other means.

This article suggests that programs designed to strengthen the rule of law in general are unlikely to be effective against the widespread problem of sexual violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. I argue that while weak rule of law perpetuates sexual violence, only rule of law programs designed specifically with respect to the needs, risks, and cultural norms pertaining to Congolese women can help curb this problem. The article begins with a brief history of conflict in the Great Lakes region of Africa to provide context for a discussion of the scope of sexual violence in the eastern provinces of the DR Congo. It then introduces the notion of "rule of law" before evaluating the ways in which weak rule of law in the eastern DR Congo contributes to the problem of sexual violence. Finally, the article makes four arguments to support the central claim that strengthening the rule of law will be effective against sexual violence only if specifically tailored in the ways noted above.

The European Union has a unique sui generis status on the international plane, which is reflected in its capability to enter into diplomatic relations with third states and international organizations. Over nearly six decades, the European Union (EU) has gradually built its own worldwide bilateral and multilateral diplomatic network, which is made subject — through specific agreements with the host country — to the 1961 Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. The 'Union delegations' are now operating as the diplomatic missions of the EU as a whole, in contrast to the former Commission delegations. This article examines the relationship between the EU and international diplomatic law. How does the EU establish and conduct diplomatic relations? What legal instruments are being used? How do the Vienna Convention and customary diplomatic law come into play? What is the exact legal status of EU ambassadors and diplomatic staff? By critically analysing these issues, this article assesses the specific contribution the EU makes to the further development of international diplomatic law.

This paper presents some data from an empiric study carried out in Winter-Spring 2019, which was a presidential election and election to municipalities year in Lithuania; therefore, respondents had immediate and recent insights into issues related to citizenship. Almost 300 respondents: law enforcement officers, the absolute majority being police officers or future police officers, also representatives of other law enforcement agencies, such as state border guards, participated in the study. Due to ample data, a part of results was presented in a publication in 2019; in this paper in 2020 other part of results is analysed to a greater depth. Notwithstanding the limitations of the study, which is related to the convenience sample, the results provide certain insights, useful for educational settings. The findings of empiric survey enabled conclusion about the need to address issues of citizenship education in educational settings in order to support officer's nearly impossible quest towards perfection in one's profession via emphasising the rights and entitlements an officer legally has as a citizen, as a member of democratic society, which may contribute to having a more rewarding professional and social life.
