"The aim of this analytical study is first and foremost, to outline legal amendments affecting migration, integration and anti-discrimination laws and analyse the consequences of these legal changes. In addition we will also provide some background information on different groups of migrants. The main legislative projects in this respect are migration law and the draft for an anti-discrimination bill. In our analysis we will also address the question wether legislative projects are characterized by anti-discriminatory aims and content. In addition to federal legislation, we will also take a closer look at state directives and implementation orders, as they, in practice often have more far-reaching consequences than the underlying law itself."
