In this progressing technological advancement world, hybrid systems for power generation is one of the most promising fields for any researcher. In this context, photovoltaic-biomass hybrid systems with off-grid applications have become extremely popular with both Governments and individual users in rural areas of any part of the world. This system has gained popularity because of low cost, sustainability and very effective outcome with the use of natural resources at the rural areas. In this paper a proposed hybrid system which contains photovoltaics (PV) and biomass along with an additional storage has been considered to find the different aspects from an end user point of view. It also discusses the feasibility of the proposed model for an off-grid power system located in the remote areas of Ashuganj, Bangladesh. In order to analyse the pollutant emissions and calculate the cost parameters of the proposed system, RETScreen simulation software was deployed. This research also carries out a brief financial analysis considering the annual income of the end user and the payback periods for the installed system. It endeavours to provide complete information about different parameters which also includes the environmental impacts involved in establishing the proposed system. The conventional system in the pilot area is a kerosene-based system, hence in this research, a comparison between the proposed and the conventional system has been analysed using simulated results. The simple payback of the project was estimated to be 6.9 years and this model will be able to reduce the CO2 emissions by approximately 3.81 tonnes per year. The results have significantly supported the proposed system to be more reliable, environmentally-friendly and less costly than the conventional kerosene-based system.

This dissertation examines why the Vatican as a global religious organization and the smallest state in the world is able to successfully mediate some difficult and intractable conflicts while it fails to do so in other cases. Drawing from the New Liberalism theory in International Relations, the mediation theory and the literature on the Vatican as a player in world affairs, it suggests the important role of the Vatican's institutions at both the global and local level, besides its spiritual and moral leverage. The method, which combines a longitudinal analysis, a process tracing procedure and a comparative analysis, is used to examine multiple cases (N-cases) as well as tests the hypotheses on three particular cases in which the Vatican intervened as an official mediator or not: (1) the Beagle Channel dispute between Argentina and Chile solved in 1984; (2) the U.S. - Cuba long confrontation which resulted with a diplomatic deal in 2014, and (3) the Ecuador - Peru conflict which ended in 1998. The findings show in particular, (1) the crucial role of a third party in the mediation structure, (2) the importance of the religious factor, namely the Catholic identity expressed in the Church-State relationship which shapes the relationship between the mediator and the disputants, (3) the decisive role of the local church in the Vatican's whole diplomatic structure, a fact not always recognized. By and large, the study contributes to explain the influence of transnational religious organizations such as the Vatican in international affairs through the lens of their foreign policy and diplomacy which are important areas that has received little attention from scholars.

The outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) across the world has caused mayhem in Employment Relations, yet medication for the virus is still to be discovered. This outbreak is not the first time the world experiencing an outbreak of this magnitude, in the past some countries have experienced some species of coronavirus known as HCoV-229E, CoV-HKUI, CoV-NL63, HCoV-OC43, SARS-CoV and MERS-CoV. This study aimed to analyse the impact of a shutdown during the COVID-19 virus in the UK. Three case studies were used in this study (1) A Healthcare Assistant and Student Nurse (2) A Senior Nurse with a local hospital, and (3) Qualified Secondary School Teacher. These three participants were interviewed through telephones, and the researcher used a semi-structured interview technique to collect sufficient data. Discussions were audio-recorded, and critical issues noted down during conversation for further follow-up. The results indicated that many participants feel that despite the need for an emergency response to the virus outbreak, their Voice was widely suppressed by the government and their organisations, leaving them powerless. Again, participants have their workload at home increased due to work from home and social distancing directives. Majority of participants do not agree with the governments job retention scheme as they see it as a threat to their salaries. Nevertheless, participants feel obliged to continue going to work to maintain their salary size. This study concludes that considering Employee Voice is paramount in any situation, and the decision-makers should consider Employee Voice to reduce confusion and reduce anxieties.

It is widely agreed that, over the past decade, accelerating infrastructure investments in India's North Eastern Region (NER) and neighboring countries, along with connectivity agreements with Bangladesh, hold immense promise for unlocking NER's economic potential. Other global trends, such as the growing incomes and consumer awareness in India and neighboring countries; a rising preference for fresh, healthy, safe, environmentally friendly, and socially responsible products; the growing role of services in manufacturing; and increasing demand for skilled resources are also very favorable for NER. Together, these developments can help NER showcase its strengths in agriculture and services, thereby developing value chains in these sectors, which will lead to sustainable, better-paying, job opportunities for the people of NER. In this context, the World Bank, in consultation with stakeholders--government, private sector, and academia--analyzed two cross-cutting constraints that are encountered across all value chains and sectors in NER: connectivity and logistics, and product standards and quality infrastructure. These are discussed in Playing to Strengths: A Policy Framework for Mainstreaming Northeast India (Kathuria, S., and P. Mathur, eds., 2019, World Bank). This volume is a companion piece to that report; it analyzes four value chains--fruits and vegetables, spices, bamboo and related products, and medical tourism--and provides an assessment of how Bangladesh can benefit from NER's increasing connectivity and growth prospects. The sector studies emphasize the need to reorient the supply base in NER toward serving the changing global demand and puts an explicit focus on women as well as the bottom 40 percent of the workforce. In light of the mutual benefit offered by economic exchange, improvements in connectivity offer a win-win opportunity for NER and Bangladesh.

Herbal medicine: Herbal medicine is the study of Pharmacognosy and the use of medicinal plants. Plants have been the basis for medical treatments through much of human history, and such traditional medicine is still widely practiced today. COVID-19: COVID-19 is a disease caused by a new strain of coronavirus. 'CO' stands for corona, 'VI' for virus, and 'D' for disease. Formerly, this disease was referred to as '2019 novel coronavirus' or '2019-nCoV. When coming to pandemics like covid-19 is challenging the world, tiny organisms are more powerful biological agents that can cause rapid spread and massive fatality. As of May 2020, there have been more than 5 million confirmed cases in at least 140 countries. Currently , there are no available vaccines or specific medicine, for the treatment of COVID-19. Scientists around the world fastening up to find an effective treatment and cure covid-19. Our proposal complements the guidelines issued by Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India for boosting immunity among the masses. According to that, people are segregated into four categories and their proposed intervention , has been mentioned in article. All the related herbal medicines with their action has been discussed in the article. Finally more clinical trails has to be conducted to know the desired and positive effects. This article review can be used as a reference in the traditional medicine treatment of covid-19. The integration of traditional medicine into conventional medicine may show effective rate in improvement of symptoms and be an alternative approach for the treatment of covid-19 in future.

In the early twentith century, the Dutch colonial government launched a development program designated towards the modern Western world in the Dutch East Indies. This is due to the penetration of capital from Europe. In this process, they embraced the natives as part of the new world. The colonial authority used certain knowledge discourse systems that worked in various modern colonial institutions, such as offices, schools, religious institutions, mining, transportation, factories. In other words, the natives who originally had different knowledge from the colonists were subtly made to follow the logic of the colonial authorities. This paper will show various representations in the film Moeder Dao de Schildpadgelijkende, about how the practice of Western colonialism discourse in the Dutch East Indies during trying to internalization their knowledge system into the Indigenous knowledge system.Discourse is a disciplinary technology through the practice of certain knowledge to create docile bodies through a certain normalization process. In this process, a person acts treated in such a way is to enter into the system of knowledge pressed by the authorities. The indigenous body becomes the working locus of colonialism's power and knowledge. A docile body exists a form of certain norms and rules in society. In this knowledge building, the logic of the colonial language as a tool for the formation of indigenous identities. The tangibility of inferiority created in the naratives arose from the perspective of the colonial rulers towards natives living in Western standards. Although the native people could meet Western standards, under the discourse of colonialism, it was still a subject that had to follow the colonial power itself.

Recently, severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-COV-2), commonly known as coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) has rapidly spread across China and around the world. By the declaration of WHO, COVID-19 outbreak considered as a public health problem of international concern. The aim of this study is to provide a comprehensive view on COVID-19 and the future expectations to control virus progression. Patients with liver disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and obesity are more susceptible to the incidence of COVID-19 infection. So, there is a rapid need for disease diagnosis, vaccine development, and drug discovery to detect, prevent, and treat this sudden and lethal virus. Real-time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) is considered as a rapid, accurate, and specific tool for disease diagnosis. Under this emergency situation that the world facing against COVID-19, there are about 15 potential vaccine candidates tested globally based on messenger RNA, DNA-based, nanoparticle, synthetic, and modified virus-like particle. Certain drugs that are clinically approved for other diseases were tested against COVID-19 as chloroquine, hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin, favipiravir, ribavirin, and remdesivir. Convalescent plasma transfusion and traditional herbal medicine were also taken into consideration. Due to the absence of effective treatment or vaccines against COVID-19 so far, the precautionary measures according to WHO's strategic objectives are the only way to confront this crisis. Governments should adopt national medical care programs to reduce the risk of exposure to any future viral outbreaks especially to patients with pre-existing medical conditions.

In this paper, I investigate how Muslim identity came under literary and political scrutiny after the attacks of 9/11. I explore the development and struggle for agency of those marginalised in post-9/11 America, as discussed in Mohsin Hamid's The Reluctant Fundamentalist (2007). By focusing on Hamid's protagonist Changez, a Pakistani immigrant, I expand on Gayatri Spivak's definition of the subaltern. I investigate how borders play a vital role in the process of marginalisation, and my examination of border crossings paves the way for a different sort of postcolonial existence, which I call the performative subaltern. Hamid provides insights into the repercussions of marginalisation to show how it sabotages the possibility of a cosmopolitan existence. Once moving into the position of the performative subaltern, Changez becomes the victim of growing Islamophobia in the US. The novel demonstrates how politics and cultural awareness affect not only one's conceptualisation of race, but how racial and religious identity hinders one's abilityto become an acculturated immigrant. Changez represents this shift from a pre9/11 to a post-9/11 world, in which racism acts as a politics of exclusion. Changez's positionality, in the novel and in the world, directly influences how he performs as a subaltern: either to consent or radicalise. In post-9/11 America, Changez faces ostracisation as other; however, when he leaves the US to become a university professor in Pakistan, he twists Spivak's subaltern principle (that underprivileged, disadvantaged segments in society have no voice for change) by developing a political voice of protest, but only after he moves beyond the borders of the United States. The article presents a theory and practice of the influence media exert on ideological and anthropological process. After reviewing existing discussions of mediatization, a historical approach to the mediatization process is suggested. In addition, mediatization is considered as a double-sided process in which the media on the one hand become an integrated part of other institutions like politics. On the other hand, media simultaneously emerge as an independent institution with an ideology of its own that other social institutions have to accommodate to.The author considers some consequences of mediatization such as homo videns (in the context of Giovanni Sartori's theory, according to which with the appearance of television and the establishment of the television industry in the mid-twentieth century human development was interrupted and reversed, for image perception began to replace abstract thinking), post-idea world that has sprung up alongside the social networking world (Neal Gabler's interpretation).The article also examines the ideological features of the Internet in particular so-called egalitarian ideology (Bernard Poulet), which gives them the ability talk to each other, and even to contribute their own stories via 'citizen journalism' and blogs.The article also presents a critical view of de-hierarchization of the web that, according to Agata Bielik-Robson, works as a medium of symbolic violence.Key words: mediatization; ideology; media; homo videns; Internet. ; У статті проаналізовано явище медіатизації, під час якого суспільні та культурні реалії, цінності набувають медійних форм. Energy and resource security have become critical issues on the economic and strategic agenda in the Asian region as demand and dependence on imported supplies grow. Energy security cuts across many sectors–economic, environmental and national security. Recent increases in energy prices, climate change and a steady escalation in global energy demand –expected to rise by nearly 60% over the next 20 years–have led energy policy-makers across the world to engage in a wide ranging debate over how best to address their country's future energy requirements. Regional powers, most notably China, have responded with nationalistic strategies to secure control over energy and commodity supplies. China is trying to shift its role from a passive recipient to an active innovator of international energy rules; from an onlooker to an active participant in international energy affairs; and from a receiver to a contributor of international energy policy. Major Asian powers are now redefining their foreign policy to meet the growing energy needs. This is most evident from the grand strategy adopted by China since 1991. China is destined to become a significant player in key energy- and resource-exporting regions, such as the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and Latin America. China's new involvement in these regions could have a powerful impact on the strategic goals of other major power in the world. Asian stability is central to the global prosperity and security; thus, the potential for conflict driven by energy competition and resource insecurity must become a conscious and carefully crafted dimension of energy strategies of all leading players in the region.

ABSTRACT: In today's technology-driven world, advancements in the internet domain seem to know no bounds. However, while the internet arena has created multiple avenues of development, it has, at the same time, opened up gates for a flurry of illicit activities. Dark web crime has emerged as one such ominous activity that looms over the virtual world and threatens legal systems all across the globe. What started off as the first major internet debacle brought about by the 'Silk Road' episode, has now become a source of serious concern for establishing rule of law in the information society. This article delves into the turbid cloud of dark web crimes thriving in the cyber space and the current legal scenario in India to regulate the surge in such malpractices. What stands as a stumbling block before the law enforcement agencies is the transnational element of dark web crimes. While the Indian Penal Code and other legislations comprise provisions related to both territorial and extra-territorial jurisdiction, the extra-territorial jurisdiction is such that it leaves a lot of ambiguity in terms of applicability of Indian laws to cyber offences that may be committed by foreign nationals overseas but the effects of which are felt in India. The author, through the course of this article, brings to light loopholes in the criminal and cyber laws of India, proposes international cooperation as the need of the hour, and analyses if the Budapest Convention on Cybercrimes provides an efficacious solution in this context. There are many different theories and approaches in international relations studies. They emerge as tools to understand world politics as well as to prevent the occurrence of wars and conflicts. Poststructuralism is one of them. This article addresses the practical relevance of poststructuralism in international politics. It looks at the role of poststructuralism, which provides a novel view on international issues in the globalized era. There are three major focuses of this paper. First, the discussion on the concept of sovereignty and state in a modern world. Second, the role of discourse in the poststructuralism theoretical framework. Third, the function of poststructuralism as a meta-theoretical critique in international relations. This article concludes that poststructuralism is practically useful in the study of international politics. Keywords: poststructuralism, theory, international politics, international relations. Abstrak Ada beragam teori dan pendekatan yang digunakan di dalam studi ilmu hubungan internasional. Teori dan pendekatan tersebut muncul sebagai alat untuk memahami kondisi peepolitikan dunia dan juga untuk mencegah terjadinya peperangan dan konflik. Poststrukturalisme adalah salah satunya. Tulisan ini membahas relevansi secara praktikal dari poststrukturalisme dalam politik internasional. Tulisan ini melihat peranan poststrukturalisme yang memberikan pandangan baru terhadap isu-isu internasional di zaman globalisasi. Ada tiga fokus utama dari tulisan ini. Pertama, pembahasan mengenai konsep kedaulatan dan negara di zaman modern. Kedua, peranan wacana dalam kerangka teori poststrukturalisme. Ketiga, fungsi poststrukturalisme sebagai kritik metateori di ilmu hubungan internasional. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari tulisan ini adalah poststrukturalisme memiliki manfaat secara praktikal dalam studi politik internasional.
