Die Städte sind nach Regionen unterteilt: Küstengürtel, Waldzone, Middle Belt und Savanne. Zwei abschließende Kapitel gehen darüberhinaus auf die Tatsache ein, daß der überwiegende Teil der nigerianischen Bevölkerung weiterhin auf dem Land lebt und die Stadtbevölkerung von dort mit den notwendigen Gütern versorgt.
