Hong Kong is listed as one of the most popular countries for Indonesian migrant workers. In 2012, more than 160,000 Indonesian migrant domestic workers (IMDWs) live in Hong Kong, and more than 90% of them are women. Hong Kong is the premium destination for IMDWs because of its moderately higher salaries, good laws and regulations, and its ambience of independence. The IMDWs can also access multiple media platforms, ranging from print media to the Internet. This writing specifically discuss about Indonesian newspaper published in Hong Kong and its relation with migrant activism. The research found that there are four existing Indonesian language newspapers in Hong Kong: Suara, Apa Kabar Plus, Koran Indonesia (KINDO), and Berita Indonesia. Conflicts between newspaper journalists and migrant organizations have affected the newspapers' credibility. The methodology used is ethnography. Fieldwork conducted in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR) in 2013, 2014 and 2018. Participant observations, in depth interviews, and focus group discussions were conducted in this research.

Covid-19 has spread globally and causes severe acute respiratory syndrome. The symptoms of covid-19 have similarities with influenza, such as cough, fever, runny nose, and sore throat. Therefore, the internet sources tend to have an increasing search related to influenza symptoms drugs. This study aims to assess the search trend of influenza symptoms drugs using google trend analysis in Indonesia. We explore google trend analysis using search terms in the Indonesian language related to influenza symptoms drugs from December 6th, 2020 to November 30th, 2021. The positive confirmed cases were obtained from the Indonesian government website https://covid19.go.id/. Our results demonstrated the increasing search terms related to influenza drug symptoms during July and August. The highest term search was "obat batuk". The positive covid-19 confirmed cases in Indonesia increased during July and August. During the peak of the covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia in July-August 2021, there was an increase in google trends searching related to influenza's drug symptoms.

Mastery of English as an international language is a necessity at this time. Indonesia as a member of the AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) should properly prepare for this challenge by preparing a capable and skilled generation of the nation. English is an international language that is very important for communication and connecting people with the world in various aspects including education. The government shows its seriousness in improving English language skills to the nation's generation, namely by requiring English at the educational level. In reality, there are various difficulties faced by students when learning English, especially in learners / students who are not from the English department called ESP (English for Specific Purposes) Learners. This study aims to explore deeper into the variety of difficulties faced by students in learning English in students of Indonesian Language Education Study Program at FKIP University of Ma'arif NU Kebumen. This study uses a qualitative approach with questionnaire instruments, observation and in-depth interview. Analysis of research data was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that research subjects face a variety of difficulties learning English, namely: 1) lack of student confidence, 2) students rarely use English in daily life and, 3) lack of vocabulary mastery.

Kompas Newspaper article published in March 2020 is a few newspaper articles discussing the figure of inpirative, social society, health, politics and law, history, and education. The article on the news is interesting to study the types of meanings because it relates to the Indonesian language learning materials Senior High School program. This research aims to (1) study the meaning of phrases in the newspaper text of Kompas March 2020 and (2) know the implications of newspaper texts with Indonesian language learning materials in high school. This research is done by a descriptive method. The descriptive method in this study is to describe the phenomenon of linguistic as it is. The data analysis technique used is a method of data analysis involving the approach (theory) as a research data analysis tool. So, the language research method includes the methods and techniques of data collection that is used by language speakers, and the data analysis methods and techniques that will be found in the linguistic rules according to the use of the language itself in the society of its said. The results of this study can be explained that the meaning of the phrase in the newspaper text Kompas edition of March 2020 and implications of the meaning of the phrase in the newspaper text Kompas March 2020 edition with learning materials in Senior High School.

The purpose of this research is to examine the prophetic values in the literature learning process and describe the results of implementing prophetic values in the education of Indonesian language and literature students. The data collection techniques used are interviews and observations. The approach used is descriptive qualitative and the research is conducted in the field. This research describes the data or events that are the focus, namely the character implemented in the interaction between lecturers and students during the learning process. The results of this research are the actualization of prophetic values in literacy learning in the form of behavior and speech. In literature learning related to behavior, several behaviors that indicate the actualization of prophetic values towards lecturers and students are found, including: a) arriving on time, demonstrating discipline in fulfilling tasks and responsibilities, b) polite and friendly attitude, which is a form of actualizing prophetic values in carrying out responsibilities as an Indonesian literature lecturer, c) motivating students to become hardworking individuals for a brighter future, d) organizing teaching materials based on research findings. In literature learning related to speech, several speeches that indicate the actualization of prophetic values towards lecturers and students are found, including a) Opening prayer with "Assalamualaikum warohmatullahi wabarokatuh," which means "May peace, mercy, and blessings be upon you from Allah," b) expressions that convey wonders related to imagination, feelings of sadness, joy, and admiration, and c) closing remarks expressing gratitude, praying, and bidding farewell. These speeches contain the hope that today's learning outcomes will have a far greater and more meaningful impact in the future.

Aceh is one of the provinces in Indonesia which has had an important historical background. The conflict between the Aceh separatist movement (GAM) and the Indonesian government happened around 30 years ago and caused most Acehnese people to live with torture, suffering, and loss of their family members. Nowadays, children who lived through that situation are parents. The aim of this study was to investigate parental involvement related to students Indonesian language ability in the first and fourth grades at elementary level. The study took place in Sukma Bangsa Pidie Primary School by interviewing the parents of 10 students. The data was collected in August and September 2016 in Sukma Bangsa School and the participants houses. The participants were mothers, fathers, and an elder sister of the students, depending on who were more involved during learning at home. The results showed that parents involvement influences students Indonesian language ability and parents involvement, influenced by the community perspective, family decisions and parenting style, the parents historical background during the Aceh conflict, and the students characters. However, the parents educational background was not related to how parents were involved in their children s learning at home. Furthermore, religion was the dominant aspect influencing parenting style. All the participants put religious education above formal education. The parents who had an authoritative parenting style used Acehnese and Indonesian languages to help their children to construct knowledge and treated them based on the child s needs, had a fixed schedule and had been assisting their child during learning at home. However, the permissive parents lead their children without any demand and gave them freedom. They did not have fixed schedules for learning at home; they only monitored the child without assisting, and did less in practicing Indonesian language and using both of the languages during learning at home. On the other hand, the permissive parents still cared about religious education for their children; they lead their children to have religious education rather than formal education.

The importance of learning noble moral values, morals and nobility for all citizens of the nation should not be denied anymore. A country or a nation can collapse because officials and some of their people behave immorally. Immoral behavior will lead to riots, confusion, irregularities and others that cause the destruction of a nation. Therefore, noble moral values need to be taught so that present and future generations are able to behave according to the expected morals This research is a descriptive case study with a qualitative research design. The subjects of this study were students at Ad-Dimyati Integrated Vocational School Bandung. This study uses five data collection techniques, namely: observation, field notes, recording, document review, and interviews. Interrogation of noble moral values on Indonesian language lessons to form students' language skills in the Ad-Dimyati Integrated Vocational School is conducted through learning activities. The implementation of the interrogation of noble moral values on Indonesian language lessons to form students' language skills in Ad-Dimyati Integrated Vocational School is based on the potential, development and condition of students to master competencies that are useful for them. Implementation of the integration of noble moral values on Indonesian language lessons to form student language politeness using a multi-strategic and multi-media approach, adequate learning resources and technology, and utilizing the surrounding environment as a learning resource, in line with the vision of Ad-Dimyati Integrated Vocational School.

An increasing advanced civilization requires educational institutions to be more adaptive. This challenge is realized by revising the 2013 curriculum, which integrates higher-order thinking skills. This study aims to describe the cognitive dimensions of higher-order thinking in textbooks on the aspects of analyzing (C4), evaluating (C5), and creating (C6). This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data source used in this study is the Indonesian language textbook for Class XI SMA published by Erlangga. Data collection techniques in this study are content analysis, reading and note-taking techniques. The data validity technique in this study used theoretical triangulation and expert judgement. The data analysis technique used an interactive data analysis model. The results of this study showed that in the Indonesian language textbook XI grade published by Erlangga, there were 170 questions that lead to the cognitive dimension of high-level thinking dominated by analyzing skills of 63 with a percentage of 37.06%, 55 questions evaluating with a percentage of 32.36%, and 52 questions of creating skill with a percentage of 30.59%. In general, the form of questions in the book is dominated by description questions and a few multiple choices. Even though it is presented with multiple choice questions, it does not eliminate the cognitive element of high-level thinking skills. Type of multiple choice questions can be used to assess low to high levels of cognition.

The problems discussed in this study are based on the transition of curriculum changes that often change by government policies and the dominance of the use of English. This problem causes Indonesian proficiency value to be categorized as low. For this reason, a learning strategy in Indonesian is needed to minimize all impacts that occur by offering and modifying existing methods called ethnopragma-educative. This study aims to describe learning methods Indonesian in ethnopragma-educative-based high schools (communication ethnography, pragmatics, and educational interactions. The use of methods is carried out with qualitative description in order to be able to accommodate the reality of language in interactions in the classroom. Observation methods carry out the collection of methods, in-depth interviews, documentation with recording techniques, and pragmatics match techniques, and focusing discussion groups with teachers, stakeholders, and communities in the high school environment. The research results were obtained based on the modification of the three statements are (1) the use of communication ethnographic approaches include eight elements, namely setting and scene, participants, ends, an act of sequences, key, instrumentalities, a norm of interaction, and genres able to accommodate learning situations in the classroom to create effective and efficient learning; (2) the use of pragmatic approaches based on illocution, locution, and perlocution actions can maximize the role of teachers as motivators and inspirators in involving students to participate in Indonesian learning to develop cognitive, psychomotor, and achievement of learning go; (3) the use of educational interaction approaches can create two-way learning that is realized by the question and answer method between teachers and students in the classroom

Along with the development of technology, educators and lecturers should integrate learning with technology that involves pedagogical knowledge and mastery of the material. This framework is known as TPACK (Technology Pedagogy and Content Knowledge). This study aims to describe the planning for the use of TPACK in learning Indonesian Language as a general course at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a case study research strategy. The sources of data in this study are derived from: documents (RPS) and informants. The data validity used in this study is triangulation technique of data sources. The data analysis technique used in this study is the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results of this study showed that the mastery of TPACK which includes mastery of PCK and TCK of lecturers at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta is quite good. It can be seen from the following findings: (1) the ability of teachers to integrate technology has included various application media and Microsoft, (2) the learning resources used by teachers are not only in the form of text in books, magazines and other texts, but also in the form of video, audio and the surrounding environment. Based on the results above, it can be concluded that the development of TPACK for Indonesian language lecturers at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta deserves appreciation.

This thesis aims to examine particular problems that the Indonesian language poses for translators, whether translating from Indonesian to English or English to Indonesian. The notation Indonesian~English translation substitutes the swung dash ~ substitutes for the hyphen -. This notation is used in this thesis to indicate translation either from Indonesian to English or from English to Indonesian. It is a convenient way to make it clear when translation is in both directions. A multifaceted approach to translation will enable translation to be viewed in much the same way as the kinds of demands it places on the translator, who needs constantly to be aware of author~reader, source~target culture, syntax, semantics, semiotics, even geography and even politics. The use of metaphor and illustrations to describe the theoretical processes of translation is justified in the same way that imagery is justified in literature. To go a step further, it is important to see through the artificial distinction often made between interpretation and translation, so that translation acquires flexibility and a deeper ethical structure. A symbolic approach may be used by the translator., involving the perception of modules within text, identified with symbols, that can facilitate the process of translation. With Indonesian, the influx of foreign words occurred in three identifiable stages, Sanskrit, Arabic and Dutch/English. In relation to Indonesian~ English translation, the levels of Javanese and the co-existing presence of the Jakarta dialect may be compared to English vocabulary levels, for example Anglo- Saxon versus Latinate forms. This means an awareness of the existence of layers on the part of the translator. It does not imply a match between the layers in each language, philological layers between English and Indonesian, or strict equivalence between one set of borrowings in English and one in Indonesian.
