Interdisziplinäre Diskurse mit Wolfgang Huber Publikation: Kommunikative Freiheit. -- "Kommunikative Freiheit" ist ein Kernthema im wissenschaftlichen Werk von Wolfgang Huber. Der ehemalige Vorsitzende des Rates der EKD prägte mit seinen Überlegungen theologische und kirchenpolitische Entwicklungen der letzten Jahrzehnte. Ausgehend von den Impulsen eines Symposiums im Sommer 2012 erscheint nun ein Buch mit Beiträgen von Volker Gerhardt, Hans Joas, Fred Dallmayr und anderen, die sich mit der Kommunikativen Freiheit und ihrer heutigen Bedeutung auseinandersetzen. Die Publikation enthält auch eine Antwort Wolfgang Hubers auf diese Beiträge.

In Deutschland gehört gut ein Drittel der Menschen keiner Kirche oder Religionsgemeinschaft an. Diese sogenannte Konfessionslosigkeit fordert die Kirchen heraus und betrifft alle kirchlichen Handlungsfelder, besonders jedoch die Bildungsarbeit. Erstmalig stellt darum die Evangelische Kirche in Deutschland mit diesem Text konfessionslose Menschen, die Gründe und Hintergründe ihrer Konfessionslosigkeit und den Umgang damit systematisch in den Mittelpunkt. Angesichts nachlassender Bindungen betreffen die aufgezeigten Grundsätze, Aufgaben und Handlungsoptionen aber auch die eigenen Kirchenmitglieder.
