The analysis of the main determinants of intra-firm diffusion of digital technologies is becoming in the focus of attention. However, there is a lack of empirical research, particularly in Europe. This paper proposes a specific approach to modelling intra-firm diffusion process by combining the well-established models of technological diffusion with organizational and networking complementarities view and epidemic evolutionary approaches. Our investigation is based upon a survey conducted in 2003 for 2038 enterprises by the Catalan government. Three econometric models are then tested. The first one is an ordered probit model where we test the probability of ICT adoption by firms. Secondly, we built a general model explaining intra-firm diffusion of ICT according to some specific tools as well as to different business uses of these digital technologies. Our results confirm the well-established literature. Thus, the main conclusion of this paper is that inter-firms ICT diffusion (i.e. investment in digital equipment) and ICT depth of adoption (i.e. spread of efficient digital uses), have different determinants, although they share some common traits based on the existence of complementary effects between digital technologies, innovation, organizational structure and workers skills within a firm.

Abstract
The higher education institutions in the study programs and during the learning and teaching process should ensure the inclusion of digital skills. The digital skills should be delivered to students along the three pillars of the European Qualification Framework. If the higher education institutions fail to integrate and deliver the digital skills in the curriculum will devastate also the employment perspectives of its graduates. The information itself does not represent knowledge and today students have access to a large amount of information. In the long run this trend may diminish the focus skills of students and it poses a risk for creation of reflexive learner instead of the reflective ones. Thus, it is important that the teaching methodologies, which integrate various digital utilities to help students develop their reflective thinking instead of reflexive one.

At the same time, we found a bilateral causality between energy consumption and health indicators in Nigeria. In particular, our findings suggest that electricity consumption Granger causes health outcomes for several African countries.

Having signed the Treaty of Marrakesh to enter in a Free Trade Zone with Arab Countries in 1989, and being the first Mediterranean country to enter in a free trade area with the EU in 1995, Tunisia needed to boost its productivity and competitiveness both within the EU and with other Arab states. As a response Technoparks started burgeoning in an attempt to address new economic challenges such as demand for highly skilled labour, jobs for youth, economic diversification, capturing the dividend of new technologies, and boosting regional development. In 1997, Tunisia set up El Ghazela --a competitive Technopark in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). Six other TPs followed suit in various priority areas like biotechnology, energy, and agri-business which are still in progress. Tunisia's eleventh development plan programmed for an additional three TPs in the south and in the west of the country. Of the ten TPs only El-Ghazala is effective. A key success factor was the interaction between government, higher education institutions and multinationals as well as the diaspora which played a crucial role in attracting multinationals. They also effectively linked Tunisian start-up companies to the international value chain of production. El-Ghazala had access to a critical mass of highly skilled researchers and a local labour market. The other TPs failed to put in place some of these necessary prerequisites.
