The contributions of the "political science historical turning" (Y. Deloye) in France are questioned from the implicit historicity models through eighteen books published the last fifteen years. The socio-history and the historical sociology winnings are introduced and then confronted with Y. Schemeil's approach. The linear-evolutionist model attached to the genetic approach is questioned since the works of M. Bloch, M. Foucault or M. Dobry. A pluralistic extension of the historicity models is then sketched by taking from the W. Benjamin's philosophy as from the E. P. Thompson's, A. O. Hirschman's or J.-C. Kaufmann's researches. The epistemological frame is the one of the theoretical pluralism without relativism defended by J.-C. Passeron. Adapted from the source document.

The paper suggests clarifying the status of the anthropological presuppositions, in the philosophical sense of characteristics of the human beings and the human condition a priori conceptions, in the social sciences. It shows that, on the condition of clarifications and of the use of a sociological reflexivity, these presuppositions can participate in the scientificity of the social sciences and in the extension of their empirical grounds. Two theoretical sites are mainly analyzed: 1) a comparison between Marx, Durkheim and Simmel, then widened to the contemporary individualism sociologies, and 2) an intensive approach of Bourdieu's sociology. The paper ends on the contributions and the limits of the pragmatic sociology introduced by Luc Boltanski and Laurent Thevenot to treat these problems. Adapted from the source document.

As a free tribute to the philosopher, politically active revolutionary and French internationalist Daniel Bensaïd (1946-2010), who has been deeply marked by Walter Benjamin's contributions, this article proposes an exploration of melancholy in eleven stages, crossing a variety of cultural registers (philosophical, sociological, political, and literary texts as well as popular songs), and a diversity of "language games" in Ludwig Wittgenstein's sense. In the course of this itinerary a cross-border epistemology, still little known in the social sciences, capable of stimulating the sociological imagination is outlined.
