Socio-political discourse is a text that describes socio-political events and includes extralinguistic, pragmatic, socio-cultural and other factors. The informative, influencing and manipulative functions of this discourse are implemented through variety of language tools that are fixed in the language and that are created by subjects to describe each specific situation. Several problems, such as linguistic, textual, extralinguistic issues, problems related to the ethical, political and cultural components of the original text and translation, the expression of the author's intention, and many other problems may arise in the process of socio-political translation . Some of them can appear because of underestimating both the lexical and cultural differences between the source language and the translated one by a translator/interpreter. The translator of a socio-political text must have language skills, subject knowledge, research skills, critical thinking, know the political situation in both the source and target languages, perform a communicative and ideological function in sociopolitical translation, have document competence, competencies related to the development of translation strategies, and digital literacy. The current article presents an analysis of lexical units that reflect the linguistic and cultural characteristics in the source language and present the greatest difficulty in translation. Linguistic and cultural problems of translation are associated with culturally specific features that exist in the source language. The solution of translation problems of a linguocultural nature is provided by correct perception of the received information, identification of linguoculturals in the original text and subsequent presentation of the main content without significant loss of information, or with a slight expansion of the translation text.

The Korean Peninsula has a strategic place in East Asia. According to Korean historic sources the early beginnings of Korean statehood can be traced back many centuries before Christ. Korean history, when considering some events, has some similarities to the history of Poland. Very often Koreans, during the official meetings compare their historic struggles with ours, for example times of partitions and fi ghting against numerous occupying powers. In the past due to its geographic location, Korea had to continuously withstand the expansion of its neighbours, especially China and Japan. Particularly painful was the period of fighting against the Japanese invader at the beginning of 20th century, when after the annexation of Korea, the Japanese were imposing the policy of assimilation and were trying to completely colonize this country. It has unleashed very strong nationalist sentiments within the Korean nation.

The paper "Consciousness, Authoritarianism, and Political Violence" by Stephan A. Schwartz explores the increasing instances of political violence in the United States, particularly among supporters of Donald Trump, who are often evangelical Christians. The study examines the psychological and sociological mechanisms that drive this violence, drawing on historical examples and psychological experiments, such as those by Stanley Milgram, to explain the phenomenon of authoritarian charisma. It highlights the growing authoritarianism worldwide and calls for a deeper understanding of these dynamics to mitigate their impact on society.

The author criticizes the opinion that "the state organization exists only in the minds of people". The author be-lieves that the state official is an elementary, indivisible unit of the state. The state official is a formalized social role. The social roles exist objectively, the state official exists objectively, and hence the state organization ex-ists objectively. At the same time, the point of view "to exist objectively" is not an intersubjective construction, otherwise we will come to the anti-realism (the collective solipsism). The author analyzes the following points of view on the nature of social roles: Ralph Linton: "social roles are a transpersonal objective phenomenon"; Tal-cott Parsons: "the social role is a methodological construction"; Berger P. and Lukman T.: "social roles are an institutional phenomenon"; J. Moreno: "social roles exist in the psyche". The author substantiates the point of view that a state organization is a real social object, and not an intersubjective "social construct".

Human beings have will, but is it free? According to Sufism, which finds its grounds in religious texts and dominantly the Quran, the body is a cage, and the spirit is like a bird in it. Therefore, free will has dimensions. Sufism suggests going beyond the limits of senses with an effort to know the self and thus become one with the Divine to reach real freedom. This article aims to explain consciousness in terms of Sufism and science.
