Developments across the board require an educational backup which requires a robust educational system. The last 50 years have witnessed big leap transformation of applications supported by advancements in science and technology. Even today due to the fast advancement it is difficult to evaluate how usage shapes up in the near future. This requires an upgraded educational structure to cope with the challenges. India has over 1/sixth of the human force representation on the global map and it should contribute strongly to the global development in sync with the human force representation on earth. India responded slowly to the upgradation gap in the education policy and came up with a new one after a gap of 34 years. The new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 of India provides a comprehensive framework from primary education to higher education, vocational & technical education and a new paradigm of internet‐based e‐leanings. Five founding pillars of this policy (i.e., Access, equity, affordability, accountability, and quality) have been considered to build the new education system of India to create a perfect harmony with the principles of United Nations (UN) 2030 agenda for sustainable development. However, the successful implementation of this policy requires a significant structural overhaul in the Indian education system. This paper provides insights into various contours of NEP 2020 and how it aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 2030 targets. This paper looks at how India should step up with caution to achieve the objectives. The paper presents some major loopholes and execution challenges that need to be addressed to truly foster "quality education for all" with the objective of providing value to the globe.

Purpose
This paper aims to explore the role of source credibility while purchasing environment-friendly products using Ajzen's (1991) theory of planned behavior as underpinning model.


Design/methodology/approach
The proposed theoretical model was empirically tested with the data collected from 334 respondents using structural equation modeling.


Findings
The results gave empirical support to the addition of source credibility to the original theory of planned. Moreover, consumer attitude was found mediating the effect of corporations' credibility on purchase intention. Also, attitude and perceived behavioral control were found as the most important predictors of consumer's intention to purchase environment-friendly products.


Practical implications
This study provides valuable insights for the marketers engaged in sustainable business practices. Amid, ever-increasing carbon emission, promoting the use of environment-friendly products has become the need of the time. Credibility plays a crucial role while promoting and communicating an organization's sustainable practices among its stakeholders including consumers. Therefore, the marketer should formulate appropriate marketing communication strategy to communicate the consumer about the green practices and environment-friendly products they produce. The results suggest that corporation's credibility shapes consumer attitude and influences intention to purchase environment-friendly products. Earning trust of the consumer is pivotal to achieve success in the market. Therefore, results may help the marketers to better understand consumer's response toward their marketing strategies and further convince and persuade them to buy their products.


Social implications
The findings of this study may be useful for marketers, strategists, policymakers and government while formulating promotional strategies to make consumer aware, educate and persuade them to purchase products which do not cause harm to the environment.


Originality/value
The study is novel in terms of exploring role of source credibility and extending theory of planned behavior in the context of sustainable consumption.

Background: A widely promoted model of mental health care and prevention appropriate to many low-income countries is one that is integrated into the local primary health care system. Aims: To examine the influence of health-seeking behaviours (demand-side factors) and the access to/availability of services (supply-side factors) on local service utilisation patterns for people with common mental disorders. Method: Two rural catchment populations outside Bangalore (India) and Rawalpindi (Pakistan), one with the standard primary health care system, the other with additional mental health care training and support, were screened for common mental disorders. Diagnosed cases were interviewed about thier use of and perceptions of local health care services (repeated three months later). Results: Individuals' use of integrated mental health and other care was modest. Principal (self-rated) supply-side factors were the cost of care, distance from treatment centre, a perception that care would not be effective, and concerns regarding stigma. Perceptions improved over three months, accompanied by an increased preference for public over private providers, but this was not restricted to the integrated care localities. Conclusion: The use (and therefore effectiveness) of mental health services integrated into primary care is influenced by the health-seeking behaviours and perceptions of the local population. Efforts to integrate mental health into primary care need to be accompanied by educational activities in order to increase awareness, reduce stigma and draw attention to the availability of effective treatment.

Not Available ; Rural development programs act as boon to millions of rural inhabitants globally. So, it becomes extremely important for policy makers to study the perception of grassroot beneficiaries for effective implementation of ongoing program as well as plan for similar programs in future. In this study, the authors have attempted to study an ambitious rural development program named as Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana launched by Government of India, through the lens of the beneficiaries. The program aims at adoption of villages and transforming them into Model Villages. The perception of the villagers was measured and perceived factors facilitating and inhibiting the program were identified through a multi-dimensional perception scale constructed through Principal Component Method. The study was carried out in four villages of Maharashtra and Telangana during 2018. The perception of 320 respondents when analysed, resulted in factors like Government-Public liaison (Y1=671.86), Infrastructure and Education (Y2=383.14), Local political environment (Y3=267.42), Collective power of villagers and youth (Y4=255.98), Equality (Y5=236.71) and Cultural and inherent values (Y6=143.03) facilitating the program while lack of separate funding (Y10= -12.88), bureaucratic hurdles (Y8=19.09), presence of village factions (Y9=25.05), lack of coordination among government departments (Y11=59.65) and faulty village adoption policy (Y7=130.85) hindering the progress of the program. Majority of villagers from Tikekarwadi (53.33%) of Maharashtra and from Dandepally (56.66%) of Telangana had favourable perception towards potential of the program while villagers from Inovolu (63.33%) of Telangana had neutral perception and from Malunja Budruk (80%) of Maharashtra had unfavourable perception. The classification was done on basis of Cumulative Cube Root Frequency Method (CCRF) and significant difference was found in perception scores of the respondents. ; Not Available
