NEVERTHELESS, BEFORE BLAMING SOCIALIST IDEOLOGY FOR INFRINGEMENTS UPON PRESS FREEDOM IN THE REGION, IT MUST BE REMEMBERED THAT TRYING TIMES HAVE ALSO BEEN EXPERIENCED BY THE MEDIA WHEN POLITICAL PROCESSES WHERE MORE ORIENTED TOWARDS WHITEHALL OR WASHINGTON.
