Women entrepreneurs have started taking leading roles in the country's economic development. One of the remarkable observations of today is entry of 'Women' into the entrepreneurial ventures. There has been a shift in the empowerment of women in India. Even though, in the past, they were treated inferior to their male counterpart, now they have come forward with increasing interest and vigour to be the entrepreneurs. They have started extending their productive hands in taking leading roles in the enterprise promotion along with their usual households. Again, Government's initiation through certain policies changes in their favour has accelerated the promotion and growth of women entrepreneurship in India. The case studies to be cited in paper highlights the entrepreneurial abilities of women today. One of the remarkable observations is that the present women entrepreneurs have become more customer friendly, and have clear understanding of the philosophy of marketing. Accordingly they have been adopting strategic marketing in real practice in success of their enterprise. This adoption of strategic marketing practice has made them to be successful women entrepreneurs. The specific contribution of marketing in the organization lies in the formulation of strategies to choose the right customer, build relationships of trust with them and create a competitive advantage. This paper is an attempt to presents the trend and constraints of the growth of women entrepreneurship and focuses on the understanding and adoption of strategic marketing by them in managing their enterprises. This has been discussed through the case study.

The application of the Kanban system in a practical environment is
reported. The objective was to determine the optimal number of Kanbans
for each component part. The effect of the time interval between
replenishment of parts on the amount of work‐in‐process inventory was
also investigated. Prior to the implementation of the Kanban system, a
computer simulation in GPSS was carried out. The results of the
simulation run for different attributes are reported. An analysis of
results is presented and the basic philosophy of just‐in‐time
production, as well as the Kanban system, is discussed.

Inequity is deeply embedded in the supply of drinking water in Delhi, India. Using the concept of infrastructural violence, this paper exposes how past and present governance of water has resulted in unequal distribution of supply across the city to exclude vulnerable communities from accessing drinking water. This perspective broadens the gaze away from a narrow gaze on the technical and structural aspects of infrastructure to encompass the socio-political dimensions. This paper starts by outlining the history of the water supply in Delhi. We then outline five axes of exclusion which can be read as infrastructural violence and explores how aspects of water policy, legislation, and planning uphold these injustices. Our discussion centers on how economics, political ideology, and power infiltrate governing mechanisms to influence water infrastructure to entrench poverty and marginalization. Attempts to improve water security for Delhi's residents face minimal impact without addressing these embedded inequities. Therefore, our analysis offers a framework to systematically create awareness of the factors to be addressed to enable a more equitable governance of water supply.

Analysis of three years of data from a malaria clinic operated by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) in the Government Medical College Hospital in Jabalpur, central India, showed a high malaria prevalence among pregnant women, which was statistically highly significant (P < 0.0001) compared with the situation among nonpregnant women. Cerebral malaria was a common complication of severe Plasmodium falciparum infection, with a high mortality during pregnancy, requiring immediate attention. The study also showed that malaria infection was more frequent in primigravidae, falling progressively with increasing parity. Mean parasite densities were significantly higher in pregnant women compared with nonpregnant women for both P. falciparum (P < 0.001; df = 137) and P. vivax (P < 0.05; df = 72) infection. Pregnant women with falciparum or vivax malaria were significantly more anaemic than noninfected pregnant women or infected nonpregnant women. The average weight of 155 neonates from infected mothers was 350 g less than that of 175 neonates from noninfected mothers. This difference in birth weight was statistically significant for both P. falciparum (P < 0.0001; df = 278) and P. vivax (P < 0.0001; df = 223) infection. Congenital malaria was not recorded. We conclude that pregnant women from this geographical area require systematic intervention owing to their high susceptibility to malaria during pregnancy and the puerperium.

Obtaining observational constraints on the role of turbulent effects for the solar dynamo is a difficult, yet crucial, task. Without such knowledge, the full picture of the operation mechanism of the solar dynamo cannot be formed. Aims. The magnetic helicity spectrum provides important information about the α effect. Here we demonstrate a formalism in spherical geometry to infer magnetic helicity spectra directly from observations of the magnetic field, taking into account the sign change of magnetic helicity across the Sun's equator. Methods. Using an angular correlation function of the magnetic field, we develop a method to infer spectra for magnetic energy and helicity. The retrieval of the latter relies on a fundamental definition of helicity in terms of linkage of magnetic flux. We apply the two-scale approach, previously used in Cartesian geometry, to spherical geometry for systems where a sign reversal of helicity is expected across the equator on both small and large scales. Results. We test the method by applying it to an analytical model of a fully helical field, and to magneto-hydrodynamic simulations of a turbulent dynamo. The helicity spectra computed from the vector potential available in the models are in excellent agreement with the spectra computed solely from the magnetic field using our method. In a next test, we use our method to obtain the helicity spectrum from a synoptic magnetic field map corresponding to a Carrington rotation. We observe clear signs of a bihelical spectrum of magnetic helicity, which is in complete accordance to the previously reported spectra in literature from the same map. Conclusions. Our formalism makes it possible to infer magnetic helicity in spherical geometry, without the necessity of computing the magnetic vector potential. Smart city deals with the problems of rapid urbanization and population growth by optimal utilization of all available resources. There are other driving factors such as clean energy programmes, a low carbon economy and distributed energy resources that are included in a smart city concept. Therefore, in this article, the authors proposed a clean energy generating model by utilizing the kinetic energy of vehicles over a speed breaker. The article focused on the design, modelling, and simulation of an electromechanical system for generating electrical power from the kinetic energy of vehicles passing over speed breakers. To facilitate simulation, a model of the electromechanical system is developed in MATLAB/Simulink. Further, MULTISIM 14 software is utilized for power electronic device modelling and simulation. Simulation results for power generation are obtained considering four units of rotational induction generators and two units of translational induction generators.
