Election Commission Regulation Number 26 Year 2018 established by the General Election Commission as a Follow-up to the Constitutional Court Decision Number 30 / PUU-XVI / 2018 which basically prohibits candidates for Regional Representative Council who are concurrently acting as administrators of political parties but the General Election Commission's rules are canceled by the Supreme Court based on its decision Number 65 / P / HUM / 2018. The purpose of this study is to analyze and find out whether the Supreme Court's Decision has binding legal force over the General Election Commission. The research method used is juridical-normative and qualitative analysis. The research results show that the Supreme Court Decision which nullifies legal norms in the General Election Commission Regulation still has binding legal force because in principle every judge's decision must be considered valid according to the law until there is equipment (res judicata pro veritate habetur), as well as the juridical decision of the Supreme Court immediately published in the State news, with the enactment of the Supreme Court's Decision it would naturally become the basis for the validity of the a quo Decision. The decision issued by the Supreme Court indirectly gave birth to a legal obligation for the General Election Commission, for that the General Election Commission must carry it out properly. Therefore, the Election Supervisory Body needs to oversee the election commission in carrying out the mandate of the decision.

science debate; that's why critical comments on AR are often uninformed.
One of the main reasons for these deficits is the lack of training
opportunities at universities.
The following article is general in style, though based on broad action research
experience. It is not my intention to present the great variety of AR
concepts and practices or my experiences in detail, but to draw some general
lines about the possibilities and difficulties to train students in AR in
academic contexts. On this ground the need for action research training is
demonstrated, and some opportunities in university contexts are pointed
out. I conclude enumerating some criteria for writing action research and
elaborating the difficulties to write AR in academic and in action research

Conflicts occur when people believe that they are different from others and conflict in religion is no different. Religious conflicts in Poso and conflicts between Sunnis and Shiites in East Java have the effects of conflict, including protracted social friction, which prevents the development of a cohesive community. This research uses a socio-legal approach, where the study of law combines the approach of legal and social sciences. Establishing a way to settle religious conflicts is done by drawing up a legal basis for a settlement that accommodates human rights and democracy, emphasizing horizontal relations between religious communities. The existence of a legal culture becomes a meeting point for religious views, namely, prioritizing human rights. So, in the future, resolving conflicts based on legal culture in a cosmopolitan society is recommended.

In a recent report from the World Health Organization, Vaccine Hesitancy, "the reluctance or refusal to vaccinate despite the availability of vaccines," was listed as one of the top ten threats to global health in 2019 (World Health Organisation 2019). This article will examine this issue primarily in the context of religious vaccine exemptions in the USA. The article assesses available research on the use of religious vaccine exemptions and the public health effects these exemptions have in relation to preventable contagious diseases. Religious vaccine exemptions are available in the vast majority of American states. However, there is very little religious justification for refusing current vaccine protocols recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). As a result, these exemptions are frequently used ostensibly for religious reasons by those supporting the current anti-vaccination movement that has emerged over approximately the last 20 years in the United States and abroad, posing a serious risk to public health. The American constitutional freedom of religion does not guarantee the protection of religious practices that are a direct threat to public health. Therefore, I will argue that religious leaders have an obligation to join with the public health community in order to promote public policy that will contribute to ending nonmedical (including religious) vaccinations.

AbstractThis article examines an Arabic commentary on the American self-help pioneer Dale Carnegie's How to Stop Worrying and Start Living, written by a one-time leading intellectual of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, Muḥammad al-Ghazālī. Ghazālī's 1956 commentary was perhaps the earliest manifestation of an influential genre of literature within the Islamic world today: "Islamic self-help." Although scholars treat Islamic self-help as an effect of neoliberalism, this article reorients the study of Islamic self-help beyond neoliberalism by showing first, that Ghazālī's early version of it emerged through a critical engagement with several ideological forms that relate in complex ways to neoliberalism's antecedent, liberalism; and second, that his Islamic self-help is best understood in terms of an Islamic encounter with American metaphysical religion made possible by Carnegie's text. It argues that Ghazālī's Islamic self-help constituted a radical reconfiguration of Western self-help, one that replaced the ethics of self-reliance and autonomy with Islamic ethical sensibilities clustered around the notions of human insufficiency and dependence upon God. In doing so, it highlights how scholars of contemporary Islam might fruitfully pose the question of how novel intellectual trends and cultural forms, like self-help, become Islamic, instead of limiting their analysis to how Islam is reshaped by modern Euro-American thought, institutions, and practices.

This article explores part of the process of passing a law in the Lebanese Parliament on 1 April 2014 called "Law on the protection of women and other members of the family from domestic violence," also known as the 'Protection Law' or Law 293. In a United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) project on Religion, Politics and Gender Equality, the theorists José Casanova and Anne Phillips are engaged in establishing a transnational perspective on religious gender politics. The article then draws on written documentation regarding the discourse connected to the draft law at that time and on field interviews. The interviews were conducted in the period 2013–2016 with religious leaders and resource persons in Christian, Sunni, and Shi'a communities in Lebanon, and with key persons in the NGOs KAFA and ABAAD. An analysis of the arguments for and against the law before it was passed displays the larger field of intersection between feminism and religious practices and the consequences of the Lebanese dual court system. As a study from the Lebanese context when Law 293 was being intensively discussed, the article shows both the authority and the vulnerability of the religious leaders associated with the dual court system. The article also reveals the ambiguity of feminist activists and NGOs toward the role of the religious communities and leaders in Lebanon.
