The key figure for a real integration in Europe is supranationality: the countries sacrificed some of their sovereignty so that a regional institution is over them. Decisions taken in these EU organizations (EU council and European Parliament) are compulsory for all member States. Supranationality, which means resigning from certain aspects of national sovereignty, has served as a developmental engine for European integration but not for Central America. This article provides an overview of India's participation in global value chains (GVCs). Using multiple databases at the aggregate and industry levels, this article documents the trends in GVC participation of India during the last three decades. Authors further differentiate between India's backward and forward integration at the country level before evaluating the industry-specific dynamics of GVCs in India. In this study, authors also shed light upon the rising servicification of Indian manufacturing, and highlight the importance of services' value addition in promoting GVC integration of India. The author considers the problem of the contacts the population of the middle Kama made with the Sarmatians of Southern Ural on the basis of an analysis оf such items as belt sets, and some items of horse equipment and weap-onsfrom thefinds of graves of early part of Mokino cemetery in the Kama area (Perm region, Russia). The complex-es belong to the3dcenturyAD. The finds are investigated consideringthe background of numerous analogies from Kama area cultures and Sarmatian complexes. From this time,the said links substantially define the shape of some parts of material culture of population from the Kama area. The complexes of the early part of the Mokino burial groundand their historical and cultural contextsillustrate the complex socio-economic processes that took place in the region at the late stage of the Glyadenovo culture. During this period, migration processes (both internal local migrations and external ones) were active, associated with changes in climatic conditions and the events of the be-ginning of the Great Migration of Peoplesepoch. The pattern of the inventory sets in the burials of the Mokino burial ground helps to suggestthat they arrived in the Kama region in assembled form, in a place with their bearers, and were not form trade import. The appearance of such complexes may be associated with the penetration of small groups of steppe population into the Kama region,which, once in the region, integrated into local communities and took a dominant role in them. New economic ties were built characterized by the full inclusion of the territory of the Kama region intothe system of trade relations in Eastern Europe. O presente artigo debate acerca do grande fluxo migratório hoje para o Brasil, e mais especificamente para o Rio Grande do Sul, e como tem se dado a relação com os imigrantes no território, sob o ponto de vista do acesso a direitos, serviços e a garantia e implementação de políticas públicas do Estado que são viabilizados por novos agentes: as universidades e seus projetos de extensão. A partir do referencial teórico, com destaque para a Teoria da Estruturação de Giddens, e de uma análise qualitativa, feita a partir de entrevistas ao longo do ano de 2018 e 2019, verificou-se a atuação de projetos de extensão no Rio Grande do Sul de duas universidades federais que prestam serviços aos imigrantes e interagem com o Estado e com a comunidade. Percebeu-se que muitos desses serviços e a própria garantia de direitos pelo Estado, foram viabilizados por intermédio destas universidades, o que demonstra, primeiro, sua importante função de agente dentro da estrutura e, segundo, sua proximidade e compromisso com o social e com a comunidade, mesmo em um momento de constantes cortes no orçamento e financiamento de projetos por parte do governo federal.

The transition from written press to digital press provides news of greater multimodality, so that different semiotic modes concur in the construction of meaning. In this study, we want to analyse the way the relationship between images and text is realized in specialized digital press on legislative and juridical topics, and how this relationship contributes effectively to the multimodal cohesion of these news items, thus constructing complex multimodal entities. To this effect, we applied the intersemiotic model proposed by Martinec and Salway (2005) to analyse the image-text relation of 30 news items of the digital version of the newspaper ABC. With this model, we account for the logico-semantic and intersemiotic relationship between image and the text within the news. ; El paso de la prensa escrita a la prensa digital ha supuesto la posibilidad de dotar a las piezas informativas de una mayor multimodalidad, de manera que diversos modos semióticos concurren en la construcción del significado. En este trabajo queremos analizar en qué medida –y de qué manera– se establece la relación entre imágenes y textos en la prensa digital de especialidad de los ámbitos jurídico y científico; y si esta relación contribuye eficazmente en la cohesión multimodal de estas piezas informativas en tanto que complejos semánticos de carácter multimodal. Para ello, hemos aplicado el modelo intersemiótico propuesto por Martinec y Salway (2005) al análisis de la relación imagen-texto en 30 piezas informativas de la versión digital del periódico ABC. Con este modelo de análisis, queremos dar cuenta de esta relación en función del estatus que ocupan la imagen y el texto dentro de la pieza informativa en tanto que unidades semióticas en sí mismas y de la relación semántica entre ellas.
