The crossroads of social education and school forms a recurring theme in pedagogical literature. In the case of Andalusia, the incorporation in 2007 of social educators in schools updated discussions around this subject matter. In this paper, which forms part of a broader study on the impact of this professional on the Andalusian educational system, a review of the state of affairs is proposed; such as, an analysis of the most relevant issues that emerge from the literature, focusing on the sphere and functions of these professionals. We understand that for social educators, the functions to be performed are closely linked to the contexts where they carry out their work and the people to which its action is directed. We therefore consider it important that, when reflecting on this professional in schools, it must be done so in relation to their functions. An overview is made of the main practical and regulatory background, as well as an analysis of the existing legislation, focusing on the Autonomous Region of Andalusia. The addition of these professionals, as we can see, means a rethinking of the professional culture of schools. The paper finishes proposing some aspects to debate and a series of after inquiry future lines. ; El cruce de caminos entre la educación social y la escolar, constituye un foco recurrente en la literatura pedagógica. Tomando el caso de Andalucía, la incorporación en 2007 de educadoras y educadores sociales en los centros educativos, vino a actualizar la discusión alrededor de dicho foco. En este artículo, que forma parte de un estudio más amplio sobre el impacto de esta figura profesional en el sistema educativo andaluz, se propone una revisión del estado de la cuestión; así como un análisis de los asuntos más relevantes que se desprenden de la literatura, centrada en los ámbitos y funciones de estos profesionales. Entendemos que para las educadoras y los educadores sociales, las funciones que han de llevar a cabo están muy vinculadas a los contextos donde desarrollan su labor y las personas hacia las cuales se dirige su actuación. Por ello, consideramos importante que, a la hora de reflexionar sobre esta figura profesional en los centros educativos, sea preciso hacerlo en relación a sus funciones. Se hace un repaso a los principales antecedentes prácticos y normativos, así como un análisis de la legislación vigente, centrándonos en la comunidad autónoma andaluza. La incorporación de estos profesionales, como venimos reconociendo, está significando un replanteamiento de la cultura profesional de los centros escolares. El artículo finaliza proponiendo algunos aspectos para la discusión y una serie de líneas futuras de indagación.

Despite the high popularity of personal use of online social media, a low percentage of students and instructors use them for educational purposes. This qualitative study explores the use of social media among faculty in the discipline of public administration in the United States. Eight instructors participated in telephone interviews about their experiences and perceptions of using social media for teaching and learning. Instructors perceive that informal learning using social media could be facilitated by instructors and integrated into formal learning environments for enriched discussions, increased engagement, and broad connections. This study provides qualitative empirical support for social learning theories while offering strategies for and examples of how social media can be used to connect formal and informal learning.

Information Infrastructures (II) (also referred to as systems of systems, and data or knowledge infrastructures) are infrastructures for the production, dissemination and use of data, and represent interconnected socio-technical systems of systems. Despite the socio-technical nature of these systems, technical approaches often dominate II design, implementation, and operation. This paper presents a complementary approach, that of Social Architecture (SocArch). SocArch situates the technical aspects of data systems at a socio-technical nexus of three interrelated elements –social, institutional, and economic. This paper presents and explains the SocArch framework, and how this nexus practically addresses the shortcomings of technical II approaches. Using "data practice archetypes" – situated practices of data labour – developed from qualitative research on Commonwealth data analysts, we describe how an understanding of the social (socio-cultural factors), institutional (normative, regulatory, politico-legal, political economic), and economic (incentives, costs and benefit flows in data supply chains) factors influence the success of information infrastructure efforts. The aim of this paper is to stimulate debate on SocArch, as a multi-disciplinary approach to the deliberative design of IIs that addresses the limitations of technically driven approaches, while sharing empirical research on data practice archetypes.

The innovative research model presented in this article includes the micro, mezzo, and macro context of the identity by expressing its multiple dimensions of the pedagogue's personality in personal, cultural and historical and social aspect. The dispositional traits of personality i.e. emotions, talent, behaviour and opinion, along with the adaptation characteristics i.e. interests, motivation, values, attitudes and character are analysed in the micro context. The meaning of the respective social environment is drawn in the mezzo context where the pedagogue's, family, student's and religious identity develop. The further crystallisation of the identity happens in the macro context that influences the development of professional, national, local, political and cultural identity.

В центре внимания представленного исследования находятся социальные аспекты программных документов политических партий РФ, которые вошли в состав Государственной думы 5-го созыва. Рассмотрены способы и средства, которые предлагают эти партии для решения социальных проблем современной России. В результате исследования возникла сложность идентификации партий по их социальным программам. ; The study is focused on the social aspects of the policy documents of the Russian political parties represented in the 5th State Duma. The article reviews the methods and means these parties offer for addressing the problems faced by the modern Russia. The results of the study show how it is difficult to identify parties by their social programs.

The article presents the relationship between the Internet, the state and politics. It starts from describing similarities between politics and social aspects of the Internet. This is described in the context of Web 2.0, collective intelligence, informal circuits of cultural content and multitasking. Then two perspectives of the functioning of the Internet in the contemporary state and politics are shown. The first, which is a top-down perspective, describes the concepts of e-government and e-participation. The second one, which is bottom-up, refers to new types of election campaigns as well as the role of new media in social change. In conclusion, there are some questions regarding cyberdemocracy and digital citizenship.

Policing as a global form is often fraught with excessive violence, corruption, and even criminalization. These sorts of problems are especially omnipresent in postcolonial nations such as India, where Beatrice Jauregui has spent several years studying the day-to-day lives of police officers in its most populous state, Uttar Pradesh. In this book, she offers an empirically rich and theoretically innovative look at the great puzzle of police authority in contemporary India and its relationship to social order, democratic governance, and security. Jauregui explores the paradoxical demands placed on Indian police, who are at once routinely charged with abuses of authority at the same time that they are asked to extend that authority into any number of both official and unofficial tasks. Her ethnography of their everyday life and work demonstrates that police authority is provisional in several senses: shifting across time and space, subject to the availability and movement of resources, and dependent upon shared moral codes and relentless instrumental demands. In the end, she shows that police authority in India is not simply a vulgar manifestation of raw power or the violence of law but, rather, a contingent and volatile social resource relied upon in different ways to help realize human needs and desires in a pluralistic, postcolonial democracy. Provocative and compelling, Provisional Authority provides a rare and disquieting look inside the world of police in India, and shines critical light on an institution fraught with moral, legal and political contradictions.

In diesem Essay geht es um das Handwerk des Schreibens über Klientinnen, um dessen ethische Aspekte in Abgrenzung zur direkten optischen Darstellung in den (Massen-) Medien. Fragen der Wissenschaftlichkeit der Kasuistik sowie ihrer Grenzen werden angesprochen. Es wird gezeigt, welchen Platz Fallberichte innerhalb des gesellschaftspolitischen Auftrags der Psychotherapie einnehmen, in welch geistesgeschichtlicher Tradition sie stehen, vor allem, in welch nahem Verwandtschaftsverhältnis sie zur Literatur stehen. Daran reiht sich die Frage, welches Genre, welche Sprache und welche Sprachlichkeit dazu angetan sind, dem psychotherapeutischen "Gegenstand" (dem homo patiens) gerecht zu werden, und welche psychotherapeutischen Haltungen sich in den Darstellungsformen offenbaren und sich zur Diskussion stellen. Questions of the scientific method of casuistry and its boundaries are addressed. The role of case reports in the socio-political mission of psychotherapy will be demonstrated, as well as the intellectual tradition of which those reports are part, and, above all, their relationship to literature. From these considerations, other questions arise: which genre, what kind of language, and what linguistic structures are appropriate to do justice to the psychotherapeutic object, the homo patiens, and which psychotherapeutic approaches manifest themselves and present themselves for discussion? En tant que psychothérapeutes nous nous chargeons d'une mission dans le contexte de la politique sociale ; nous devons donc rendre des comptes sur notre pratique, à nous-mêmes mais aussi à nos collègues et à la collectivité. Nous proposons dans cet article une réflexion sur les différentes modalités de présentation et mettons en évidence l'équilibre délicat entre clarté et exhibition(nisme) que doivent trouver, en particulier, les médias visuels. Il faut savoir utiliser le pouvoir qu'ont ces derniers à amplifier l'information et à élaborer un discours ; il faut développer une culture dotée de la capacité à résister à la soif de sensationnalisme, à la vanité thérapeutique et aux différentes formes (d'abus) de pouvoir. Les problèmes sont en partie dus au fait qu'au cours de son histoire relativement courte, la psychothérapie s'est retrouvée entourée de médias en constant développement (des médias visuels - qui pour elle ont caractère de spectacle - surtout) caractérisés par une attitude souvent limite impudique (contrastant avec la pruderie traditionnelle) et axée sur un monde virtuel. La psychothérapie a besoin du public, mais elle doit devenir plus sensible aux aspects qui lui permettront de se présenter avec sérieux et de manière adéquate par rapport à ses contenus. Selon le groupe visé, il faut choisir entre des formes de présentation plus ou moins directes : lorsque l'on s'adresse à des collègues ou dans le cadre de la formation, on peut être plus explicite tout en respectant le sérieux et le secret professionnels ; lorsque l'on s'adresse à un large public (incluant des clients potentiels), il s'agit de transmettre une image motivante de la psychothérapie et de faciliter l'accès aux traitements.S'exprimer par écrit sur la pratique psychothérapeutique - que ce soit sur un mode scientifique ou populaire - entraîne toute une série d'autres risques. Il est relativement facile de sauvegarder l'anonymat des clients, puisqu'une étude de cas est rédigée après réflexion et que son auteur a la possibilité d'introduire des éléments fictifs et abstraits. La frontière entre fiction et mensonge n'est pas toujours claire et les auteurs d'œuvres littéraires la gèrent en principe autrement ; mais lorsqu'on présente des « cas », on risque toujours de les embellir, de ne choisir que des processus qui se sont déroulés de manière positive ou même d'inventer les descriptions servant d'illustration - ce qui n'est pas acceptable si le texte doit servir de démonstration de l'utilité d'une approche thérapeutique.A ce niveau, il s'agit de questions touchant à l'épistémologie et à l'éthique scientifique, ainsi qu'au problème du caractère scientifique de la psychothérapie en général et de la casuistique en particulier : dans quel domaine scientifique la psychothérapie peut-elle se positionner? Pour nous, elle a ses racines dans les sciences sociales et l'herméneutique et elle est entre autres proche des arts, ce qui signifie que le facteur humain doit absolument être sauvegardé ; ceci la distingue d'une médecine se référant à la technique et aux sciences physiques pour laquelle le flou introduit par des récits humains est une interférence.Le fait que nos clients se montrent à nous par le biais de leurs narratifs démontre lui aussi que psychothérapie et littérature sont proches parentes. Il faut simplement se demander quel genre littéraire, quelle langue et quel langage sont les plus adéquats au moment de décrire « l'objet» de la psychothérapie (l'homo patiens).Il s'agit aussi de cerner les attitudes psychothérapeutiques et les implications sociétales qui se cristallisent dans le langage utilisé, puis d'en débattre. Cet aspect de la question ne peut pas être exposé en détail dans le présent essai, mais il est illustré par un exemple de cas.

Résumé Presque 8 ans après l'intervention internationale au Kosovo de 1999, celui-ci se retrouve face à la difficulté de construire un état démocratique durable, développant son économie et encourageant une société civile participative, suivant ainsi son agenda de démocratisation. Alors que la mission de l'ONU se prépare à partir, une mission sous contrôle de l'UE, l'EU Planning Team se prépare à prendre la relève. À partir de cette situation, il est pertinent de contribuer à la discussion actuelle sur la construction étatique et le développement du discours, particulièrement dans le cas du Kosovo en tant que nouveau pays. Cet article, qui s'appuiera sur la démocratisation et l'agenda de construction étatique, prendra en compte les prémisses du développement social à travers l'analyse du capital social, en examinant son potentiel comme un catalyseur qui, dans de tels contextes, pourrait amener de grands résultats. Cet article sera basé sur l'approche théorique de Robert Putnam et son concept de capital social. Se référant à la recherche empirique, Robert Putnam a développé les « instruments de Putnam » qui sont surtout connus comme un index élaboré de civicness qui inclut : la confiance, les normes de réciprocité, le réseau, le lien et la rencontre au Kosovo. En utilisant ces indicateurs, cet article explorera la dépendance causale que le rôle des réseaux d'engagement civique joue sur les autres aspects de la vie au Kosovo. La théorie de Putnam nous aidera à comprendre pourquoi le capital social, incarné dans les réseaux horizontaux de l'engagement civique, améliore les performances du politique ( polity ) et de l'économie plutôt que l'inverse. De plus, nous analyserons concrètement les rôles et activités de la société civile et les médias au Kosovo, et plus particulièrement leur engagement pour venir à bout des clivages sociaux qui sont toujours présents dans la société kosovare d'après guerre. À l'issue de cet article, nous montrerons que le potentiel pour un capital social dans le Kosovo actuel, bénéficiant de bonnes opportunités par la tradition civique actuelle, doit aussi faire face à un immense défi, celui d'une situation politique et économique compliquée. En conclusion nous verrons que la tentative de faciliter une société civile forte, capable de régénérer le capital social dans une situation d'après guerre doit prendre en compte la manière de la mettre aux normes avec les exigences de temps et de développement social/institutionnel. Cela nécessitera une analyse de l'engagement à long terme de l'UE.

Based Law No. 18 of 2008 on waste management, the Government makes litter bank program to address the issue of solid waste to be one of the main problems with implementing the waste management system 3R (reduce, reuse, recycle). In Makassar there are various programs that deal with issues of cleanliness, one waste bank program assist the government in reducing waste reduction and able to empower people to care about the cleanliness. The purpose of this research is to describe the impact of the waste bank program for the community in the bakung village. The research approach used is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques using interviews, observation and documentation while the source of the data used comes from primary data and secondary data.The results of this research indicate that the presence of the waste bank program had a positive impact for the community in the economic, social and environmental. In the economic aspect can increase people's income, while the social aspects of increased social interaction, knowledge about waste management and manufacturing of handicraft. In the environmental aspect, people feel secure with their surroundings and be able to sort the waste according to type. Keywords: Impact Program; Waste Bank Program; Waste Management and Society.

Recent evidence suggests that social comparisons between people in different countries have become more important over time due to globalization. This paper deals with optimal nonlinear income taxation in an international setting, where consumers derive utility from their relative consumption compared both with other domestic residents and people in another country. The optimal tax policy in our framework reflects both correction for positional externalities and redistributive aspects of such correction due to the incentive constraint facing each government. If the national governments behave as Nash competitors to each other, the resulting tax policy only internalizes the externalities that are due to within-country comparisons, whereas the tax policy chosen by the leader country in a Stackelberg game also to some extent reflects between-country comparisons. We also derive globally Pareto-efficient tax policies in a cooperative framework, and conclude that there are potentially large welfare gains of international tax policy coordination.

State control of land plays a critical role in producing land dispossession throughout the Global South. In Myanmar, the state's approach towards territorial expansion has driven the country's system of land governance, resulting in widespread and systemic land grabbing. This article investigates ongoing land governance reforms as key terrains for contesting such abuses of power. Employing a relational land governance approach, we view reform processes as shaped by changing power-laden social relations among government, civil society, and international donor actors. Legal and regulatory reforms in Myanmar potentially act as sites of meaningful social change but in practice tend to maintain significant limitations in altering governance dynamics. Civil society organizations and their alliances in Myanmar have played an important role in opening up policy processes to a broader group of political actors. Yet, policies and legal frameworks still are often captured by elite actors, becoming trapped in path dependent power relations.
