Introduction. On the basis of new resources, the article examines the actions of the Nazi agencies which inculcated sabotage groups of betrayers and experienced German agents on the Ju-290 of the Luftwaffe in 1943-1944 in the Kalmyk steppe. The main purpose of the German operations was to conduct reconnaissance and sabotage actions in the rear of the red army to cause the uprising of the population of Kalmykia.

Methods and materials. Scientific, popular science publications that have appeared in recent years and documents introduced into scientific circulation cover only the general picture and fragmentary episodes of special operations of secret Luftwaffe units. The main source base of the article consists of unpublished documents identified by the author in the funds of the State Archives of the Russian Federation. These are documents about the results of the interrogations of some of the leaders of the fascist special services, certificates, reports, cases of various Soviet special services and officials addressed to the leaders of the highest party, state bodies, the NKVD of the USSR. These documents are devoted to the results of the fight against banditry in the country, with desertion, evasion of service.

Analysis and results. The Abwehr group (Otto Verba's103 officers with the agent name - the doctor Doll) having the false information about the readiness of the rebels for uprising planned to raise a rebellion of the Kalmyk population. In this connection, the German special services planned a special operation under the code name Salzsee ('Salt lake'). In October 1943 and May 1944 the Germans using the newest Junkers landed prepared saboteurs groups of collaborators and experienced scouts in the central part of the Kalmyk steppe. Some of the crews of aircraft and saboteurs were destroyed by the chekists, captured scouts agreed to cooperate with the SMERSH and to participate in the radio game. As a result, due to the radio game Aryans held by the Soviet intelligence, the Abwehr group intentions had completely failed. The Germans lost two new Ju-290 aircrafts with crew members and experienced scouts. During the operation Dr. Doll secretly disappeared and after the war found himself in the Eastern part of Germany.

The article deals with the current topic of manipulation in politics. The author makes scientific analysis of this phenomenon and tells about identify hidden mechanisms of manipulation, classification of manipulation and study the impact of manipulation on the values and behavior of people. For the first time the manipulations of cause-and-effect relations are considered, including the well-known experiment "universe 25". These manipulations are aimed at influencing the values of a person and cause the belief in the impossibility of social transformations aimed at significantly improving the quality of life and social relations. The author is convinced that the study of manipulation by the scientific community, and further teaching the ability to resist manipulation will make the population less susceptible to political manipulation and more free in their political choice. The author believes that manipulation in politics is, on the one hand, a serious scientific problem, and, on the other hand, a topic of interest in politicized groups of social networks, as well as a frequent subject of popular science materials. Political manipulation affects the value worldview of people and their behavior, the problems of manipulation in politics is closely related to a larger range of other political problems. ; В статье рассматривается актуальная тема манипуляций в политике, указывается на необходимость научного анализа данного явления, необходимость выявления скрытых механизмов манипуляций, классификации манипуляций и исследования влияние манипуляций на ценностные установки и поведение людей. Впервые рассматриваются манипуляции причинно-следственными связями, в том числе именно так классифицируется известный эксперимент «Вселенная 25». Данные манипуляции имеют цель повлиять на ценностные установки человека и вызвать убеждение в невозможности социальных преобразований, направленных на существенное улучшение качества жизни и социальных отношений. Автор убеждён, что изучение манипуляций научным сообществом, и в дальнейшем преподавание умения противостоять манипуляциям сделают население менее поддатливым на политические манипуляции и более свободным в своём политическом выборе. Автор считает, что манипуляции в политике – это, с одной стороны, серьёзная научная проблема, а, с другой стороны, тема, вызывающая интерес в политизированных группах социальных сетей, а также частый предмет научно-популярных материалов. Политические манипуляции влияют на ценностные мировоззренческие установки людей и на их поведение, то с проблемами манипуляций в политике тесно связан больший круг других политических проблем.

Своєрідним явищем на терені засобів масової комунікації є релігійна періодика. З одного боку, їй властиві загальні особливості, якими характеризуються періодичні видання, з іншого – вона має особливе комунікативне призначення і коло висвітлюваних питань. Мета статті – здійснити загальний аналіз лексичного складу текстів релігійної християнської періодики. У статті на матеріалі публікацій газети «Волинські єпархіальні відомості» (2004–2018 рр.) здійснено класифікацію лексичного складу періодичного релігійного видання. Специфіку лексичного складу обумовлює тематика публікацій. Релігійна періодика, як і світські медійні видання, демонструє процеси активного використання розмовної лексики. ; The peculiar phenomenon in the field of mass communication is religious periodicals. On the one hand, it has common peculiarities by which periodicals are characterized, on the other hand it has a special communicative purpose and a range of topics covered. The aim of the article is to carry out a general analysis of the lexical composition of religious Christian periodical texts. The classification of the periodical religious publication lexical composition was carried out in the article on the publication of the newspaper «Volyn diocesan reports» (2004–2018). The specificity of the lexical composition is determined by topics of publications. In religious periodicals, first of all, problems of faith, spirituality, Christian ethics, norms of moral behavior of a Christian, church and religious life are violated, as a result of which the vocabulary on named realities designation becomes a stylish one. Among them, the vocabulary on the designation of the highest God's people of the Christian religion, names of religious holidays, posts, memorable days is represented most quantitatively, as well as the vocabulary reflecting the organizational life of the church as an establishment and public institution (names of clergy posts, holy dignitaries, items of church use). Onomastic vocabulary and vocabulary on the designation of religious holidays are usually used in canonical forms, thus folk forms and newly created words are witnessed. Medical vocabulary is widely presented.A specific feature of the researched journal is that popular science materials about volyn shrines – icons are being constantly published in it, using a special art terminology.In religious periodical issues of political, social, economic, cultural life are actively discussed which determines the use of vocabulary denoting these realities.Religious periodicals, as well as secular media editions, demonstrate processes of a spoken vocabulary active usage.

Urban water systems in the United States are poised for massive change. Water infrastructure built in the 20th century has promoted public health and has protected ecosystems from pollution. However, much of this infrastructure is now coming to the end of its design life, and requires substantial investments to keep it functional. Our water systems also face new challenges from shifting precipitation patterns, sea level rise, and contaminants of emerging concern, among others. Modernizing our nation's aging water infrastructure is imperative – and to meet 21st century challenges, we must do better than simply repairing it. The next generation of urban water infrastructure can also provide other societal benefits like resource recovery from sewage, increased wildlife habitat, and improved resilience to climate change effects in addition to water supply and wastewater treatment. Yet there still is little guidance for how water managers can include broader societal goals for multi-benefit infrastructure into what have historically been singular fields of engineered water supply and wastewater treatment. Without a better understanding of how public policy ties in to water infrastructure goals, improvements may only be made in moments of crisis, and the opportunity to create multi-benefit water systems will be lost.This dissertation seeks to support decision-makers in designing and implementing more equitable, holistic, and environmentally-sound urban water infrastructure. Chapter I assesses historical precedents for recycling sewage into drinking water in California to contextualize current concerns and challenges. Water recycling has had a rich and varied history in California; currently, potable water reuse is on the rise. Chapter II develops a legitimacy framework for potable water reuse in California, which facilitates decision-making about technologies that fit into the unique social, political, and cultural contexts of a particular locale. Chapter III provides a popular science look at the practice of potable water reuse, which is unfamiliar to many people and has faced stark public opposition in some areas. Chapter IV focuses on stakeholder perspectives to identify goals and strategies for multi-benefit wastewater treatment, as well as analyzes barriers to achieving these goals. Chapter V employs a quantitative multi-criteria decision analysis paired with stakeholder analysis and scenario planning to evaluate potential nutrient management options for the San Francisco Bay Area in uncertain future conditions.

Neste artigo tratarei de relacionar algumas reflexões sobre o Projeto De fora adentro (NAC- Núcleo de Arte e Cultura da UFRN/ PROEX). São reflexões nascidas pelo encontro entre conceitos da fenomenologia da imaginação de Gaston Bachelard (entorpecimento, vertigem, elasticidade, ingravidez e leveza) com alguns depoimentos dos visitantes no lançamento da mostra que ocorreu na 62° SBPC em Natal. O projeto De fora adentro- Natal por meio de uma metodologia investigativa, criativa e sensibilizante, tem como objetivo fundamental desenvolver, difundir e popularizar pesquisas e resultados científicos transdisciplinares que proporcionem ao público uma compreensão menos fragmentada sobre as relações humanas com o meio ambiente. Para atingir esta meta o projeto elabora, compõe e expõe produtos artísticos e interativos para distintas faixas etárias, realizando mostras itinerantes com atividades lúdico-pedagógico-sensoriais que proporcionam uma experiência cognitiva-sensível de reconhecimento-registro, pertencimento, cuidado e difusão do patrimônio cultural e natural da cidade. From the Outside In – Natal Abstract The present article deals with reflections on the project, From the Outside In – Natal, (Projeto De fora adentro -- Natal), which is part of the Nucleus of Art and Culture at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte/PROEX (Núcleo de Arte e Cultura [NAC] da UFRN/ PROEX). These reflections emerged from the intersection of concepts in the phenomenology of the imagination by Gaston Bachelard (twisting, vertigo, elasticity, zero gravity, lightness) with testimony of visitors at the opening of the show that occurred at 62° SBPC in Natal. The project From the Outside In- Natal, through a methodology characterized as investigative, creative and conscientious, has as a main objective to develop, distribute, and popularize scientific trans-disciplinary research and its results, for the general public, to promote greater understanding, and a less fragmented perspective about human relationships and the environment. To achieve these aims the Project develops, composes and exhibits artistic and interactive products for distinct age groups, constituting traveling exhibitions with ludic-pedagogic-sensorial activities, which foment a cognitive-sensitizing experience of recognition-register, belonging, care and dissemination of the city's natural and cultural patrimony. Part of topic : Ambiance, atmosphere, climate: theory, politics and criticism ; International audience ; Following a brief questioning of the notion of 'context' vis-à-vis 'ambiance' as an analytical category which has so far attracted limited attention in music scholarship, the paper explores the ambiances of love in popular song as spheres of affective subjectification and embodied knowledge. It focuses on the exploration of the political concept of love in the work of the singer-poet-musician Yiannis Angelakas, one of the most prominent figures of popular music in Greece. Angelakas' politics of love, are interpreted here in the light of recent philosophical thinking on love as a political concept, as it has been addressed in the writings of Alain Badiou, Roland Barthes, Michael Hardt and Laurent Berlant. In the sonic-lyrical world of two of his most popular songs, 'Akouo tin Agapi' ('I Listen to Love') and 'Giorti' ('The Fest'), the sentimental subject risks entering a regime of relationality, which becomes an ontologically constitutive process providing the means for collective transformation. Love thus materialises the pending desire of the ever dispossessed lover for radical transformation, even if loss is a constitutive part of this process.

"What happens to a community when the majority of young people move away for education? In Nubri, an ethnic Tibetan enclave in the highlands of Nepal, educational migration (the sending of children to distant institutions for schooling) has become a key component of a family management strategy that is driven by the prospect of social and economic rewards but that entails risk, uncertainty, and unforeseen consequences. The authors draw on ethnographic, demographic, and historical research to document how long-standing religious connections shape contemporary migrations, and how population growth disparities open new schooling opportunities for Buddhist highlanders. In recent times, gamified media has seen a rise in popularity, particularly in Japan. Among Japanese youth, one manifestation of this trend is the expansion of original media content to create fanfiction content. This process changes passive consumers into active agents with the ability to advance society. However, no appropriate model currently exists for investigating and exploring this phenomenon in contemporary animé, comics, and games. Thus, Selected Topics in Cultural Studies begins by discussing how cultural content can be exploited for designing alternate reality experiences. Next, the authors explore and explain strategic sociopolitical and cultural roles in the educational processes and their effects.
