Emerged from the German Association for Cannabis as Medicine (ACM), a handful of enthusiastic medical doctors from Germany, Switzerland, and Austria supported by experts from other countries established the International Association for Cannabinoid Medicines (IACM) in March 2000. During the past 20 years until today, it evolved toward the most important scientific society for clinical research in the field of cannabis-based medicines. The overarching aim of the IACM is to advance the knowledge on cannabis, cannabinoids, the endocannabinoid system, and related topics especially with regard to their therapeutic potential, which would allow more patients to profit from a treatment with cannabis-based medicines and ease legislators to adopt their policies. To reach this goal, the IACM organizes international scientific conferences, biweekly publishes the IACM-Bulletin—currently in six different languages—reaching more than 5000 people worldwide, and is working closely together with patient associations, international partner organizations, and IACM ambassadors. In 2019, a collaborative partnership with the journal Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research was established.

"Pourquoi gravait-on des textes en grec dans les provinces latinophones de l'Empire romain ? L'ouvrage collectif Pratiques du grec dans l'épigraphie de l'Occident répond à cette question en cernant la spécificité d'une documentation qui n'a bénéficié d'aucune synthèse récente. Dans le cadre de cette enquête, deux aspects essentiels sont traités par les contributeurs : le premier concerne la contextualisation de cette documentation, en insistant sur la nature de ces textes et les agents de leur diffusion ; le second concerne la nature de ce phénomène, le grec pouvant être un indice de la présence d'hellénophones loin de leur patrie ou encore un marqueur de distinction sociale et culturelle. En résumé, le grec épigraphique en Occident peut être abordé à la fois comme une strate particulière au milieu des autres langues attestées épigraphiquement dans un monde majoritairement latinophone et comme une langue impériale, qui témoigne autant de pratiques administratives ou techniques que savantes."

Die Richtlinie VDI 3783 Blatt 20 beschreibt zwei Verfahren zur Auswahl des repräsentativen Jahres für rechnerische Immissionsprognosen nach TA Luft: Verfahren A (AKJahr) und Verfahren B (Methode zur Auswahl eines repräsentativen Jahres von meteorologischen Zeitreihen einer Station). Das Verfahren B ermittelt das repräsentative Jahr ausschließlich aus den gemessenen Winddaten der zu verwendenden Wetterstation und ist im Hinblick auf die zu prüfenden statistischen Maßzahlen einfacher anzuwenden als das Verfahren A. Es ist in der Anwendung sehr praktikabel und ferner gut nachvollziehbar, erweist sich jedoch nur als "mäßig" robust, was sich im Einzelfall signifikant auf die Ergebnisse einer Ausbreitungsrechnung auswirken kann. In diesem Beitrag werden neben einem Überblick über die beiden Verfahren Anwendungserfahrungen in der Bestimmung des repräsentativen Jahres entsprechend VDI 3783 Blatt 20 und Vorschläge einfacher Modifikationen zur Erhöhung der Robustheit des Verfahrens B vorgestellt.
