The 36th World Congress of the International Institute of Sociology (IIS) was a true milestone in the history of IIS, for it heralded many firsts: the first World Congress to be held on the Asian Continent, the first to be held in China, and the largest attendance by far of any of the organization's World Congresses. 'The greatest single impact of climate change could be on human migration', stated the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) in 1990. Since then there has been considerable concern about the large-scale population movements that might take place because of climate change. This book examines emerging patterns of human mobility in relation to climate change, drawing on a multidisciplinary approach, including anthropology and geography. It addresses both larger, general questions and concrete local cases, where the link between climate change and human mobility is manifest and demands attention - empirically, analytically and conceptually. Among the cases explored are both historical and contemporary instances of migration in response to climate change, and together they illustrate the necessity of analyzing new patterns of movement, historic cultural images and regulation practices in the wake of new global processes

La prise en charge thérapeutique d'abuseurs sexuels en milieu hospitalier repose sur un programme spécifique de traitement établi dans une optique pluridisciplinaire. L'intégration dans l'hôpital permet de recourir à une gamme de compétences étendue. Le traitement est structuré autour d'un programme général qui s'articule avec une individualisation de la thérapie. La prise en charge globale de l'abuseur amène également à envisager l'équipe thérapeutique comme une référence stable à travers le temps et à mobiliser l'ensemble des acteurs sociaux impliqués dans la gestion de la situation. Enfin, la mise en évidence de la dimension sociétale des abus sexuels conduit les thérapeutes d'abuseurs à prendre part à la définition des objectifs sociaux de gestion du phénomène et à s'intégrer dans un réseau complexe d'intervenants.

If sustainability is our goal, social and environmental policy must be treated as one and the same field. Examples from Agriculture, Nutrition, Forestry, Urban Planning, Care Work, Tourism, and University Management show that such a paradigm shift is indicated, important, and timely. They also show that Environmental or Social Impact Assessments are no longer adequate. The new paradigm synthetically combines environmental and social policy. Not to do so leads to policy inefficiency and perverse effects. One policy domain may counteract or outright "sabotage" the other. To synthetically combine environmental and social policy calls for a trans-disciplinary perspective to include both policy fields and academic disciplines. This is well illustrated by the contributors in this book who represent numerous academic disciplines. They help professionals and students appreciate the centrality of trans-disciplinary thought and practice in working toward sustainability

Through this study, we want to bring back to attention the legislative events provided by law 24/2000, as a result of the appearance in their list of consolidation, which is regulated by law as not having legal effects. There is a similar legal institution in the Union legislation which has the value of republication in domestic law.
That's why we have briefly analysed the legislative events provided by the law and the effects they have produced, comparing them to the new technical procedure called consolidation.

Some informal rules merely save decision-making costs in social exchanges, but we try to use others as social contracts to produce public goods. (In fact, effective ethical-behavioural constraints may be essential to retention and the useful functioning of markets and democratic government.) Ethical-behavioural tenets are themselves public goods, however, adherence to them being vulnerable to cheap- or free-rider difficulties. In the long run, therefore, desirable informal laws will be underprovided. Nonetheless, according to both theory and observation, individuals sometimes overturn their free-riderism, compulsively sacrifice their selfish interests, and maintain useful customs and rules. Conditions that determine the costs and 'indoctrinated' or psychic rewards to individuals for their adherence are discussed. These conditions will shape the degree of underproduction of advantageous behavioural codes.
