On demand energy market and favourable government policies to encourage the usage of renewable energy have led to a dramatic increase of grid connected wind, solar, and other power in recent years. Penetration of the power above manageable limit, produced using intermittent energy sources, to meet the demand has induced instable grid operations. On the other hand, the consumers more – or – less expect to be able to draw greater or lesser amount of grid power, whensoever require, at their discretion, and they expect the grid to accommodate this flexibility. Intermittency in the power production and utilisation flexibility to the end users resulted in increased grid incidents. In order to ensure the uninterrupted grid operation one has to take the responsibility to retrieve the grid parameters within operating band before it collapses.Because of speedy and smooth response to the connected grid network, hydroelectric turbines are most frequently used to bring the grid parameters within stable operating band. In a hydro power plant variation in the parameters is detected by a governor and that governs guide vanes angular movement through servo-actuation mechanism. The guide vanes manage mass flow rate flowing to the runner, i.e., the output torque/power. The guide vanes have to react promptly in a very short time to balance the grid. Thus, most of the hydroelectric units are supposed to operate over a larger operating range irrespective of efficiency and the stability, continuous load variation, load rejections, and increased numbers of start-stop cycles.An incompetent opening/closing of the guide vanes during transients induce aperiodic pressure loading on the blade surfaces resulted in cyclic stresses and fatigue. Unexpected transients led to increased wear, shortening the runner life, increased cost of plant operation, and loss of power production. Transients cannot be stopped or avoided but the damage due to the wear and, therefore, runner life may be improved by minimising the unfavourable pressure loading in the turbine through strategic movement of the guide vanes.This motivated to carry out the investigations on hydraulic turbine during transients and study guide vanes operating strategy. The main scope of the licentiate thesis is to identify the change in operating trend of hydraulic turbines due to injection of intermittent energy to the power grid and how it is affecting the turbine operations. The first paper reviews the change in operating trend and consequences to the hydraulic turbines due to changes in the pattern of turbine operation in the recent years. After drawing conclusions from the referred literature, experimental measurements on a model Francis turbine installed at NTNU, Norway, were performed. Both types of, steady state and transient, operational conditions were investigated including pressure measurements. The second paper presents the observations and investigations of steady state measurements and the corresponding numerical simulations. The third paper presents part of the transient experimental investigations; load variations and rejections. Six transient operational conditions were investigated including time domain frequency variation and rotor-stator interaction. The largest pressure variation compared to steady state operation is obtained during load rejection. Improving productivity is a central challenge in most industries and so also in construction. In many countries, such as Great Britain and US (Egan, 1998; Huang et al., 2009; Teichholz, 2001), governmental reports and research publications have highlighted the slow growth of productivity in the construction industry. In Sweden the urgency of improving productivity and client satisfaction in the construction industry have initiated a number of government investigations (SOU, 2002; SOU, 2009; SOU, 2012).A recent investigation of government clients' actions to improve productivity and innovation in infrastructure projects have recommended better planning regarding the procurements of projects, increased amount of turnkey contracts and that the sector must become more industrialized. As a response, the Swedish Transportation Administration has launched a research and innovation program where an increased industrial mindset and standardization of products is on the agenda. With the exception of the process-based housing sector, increased industrialization has however been difficult to achieve in the project-based construction industry.The aim of the research is to find the most important parts and processes that can be industrialized to make bridge construction projects more efficient. Empirical data has been collected through questionnaire surveys, workshop and case studies. The data has resulted in four appended papers with focus on mapping the concept of industrialization. Each paper contributes to the aim, but focuses on different aspects of the concept.An interesting aspect of the empirical results from the research is the multi-facetted view practitioners and industry experts have on industrialization, a concept involving elements like prefabrication, standardization and processes. Many of the identified core elements of industrialization focus on processes (long-term) rather than projects (short-term). Some major barriers for industrialization are identified involving: lack of repetition possibilities, strict norms and rules, Design-bid-build contracts, government regulations, and the existing conservatism in the infrastructure sector. Interesting is that out of the five largest barriers, three could be traced back to the client role. As such, the clients (i.e. STA in Sweden) must address these barriers in order to enhance increased industrialization. Launch of the long-term research and innovation program by STA, where increased industrialization throughout the value chain and standardization of products are on the agenda, is a first step toward breaking down barriers, hence possibilities for increased productivity. Standardization of parts and products is shown to be a possible way of decreasing complexity related to on-site construction. Case studies have shown that massive saving in terms of time can be achieved utilizing prefabrication instead of traditional on-site construction. But standardization and prefabrication will not be more common as long as identified barriers like aesthetics issues and assumptions that quality is decreasing are available among practitioners. Bu çalışma 1980 ve 2000'li yıllarda yayımlanan iki İngilizce ders kitabı serisindeki kültürel öğeleri araştırmak ve karşılaştırmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Kitaplar yabancı yayın evleri tarafından ilköğretim ve lise çağındaki öğrencilere yönelik olarak hazırlanmıştır. 1980'li yıllarda yayımlanan ilk setin Türkiye'de yaygın olarak kullanılmıştır. İkinci set Türkiye'deki devlet okullarında ve özel okullarda hala kullanılmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı belirlenen kriterleri kullanarak İngilizce ders kitaplarındaki kültürel öğelerin niteliğini ve niceliğini araştırmaktır. İkinci olarak bu çalışma son birkaç on yılda kültürün dil eğitim uygulamalarında yer almaya başlamasıyla değişen uygulamalarla, İngilizce ders kitaplarında hedef dilin kültürünün temsil edilmesi noktasında herhangi bir değişim olup olmadığını ortaya koymayı hedeflemektedir. Bu setin ünitelerinde daha küresel konulara yoğunlaşılmıştır. Bununla birlikte, 2000'li yıllarda basılan kitabın ana dili İngilizce olan ülkelerin kültürel yönünü tamamen gözardı ettiğini de söylemek doğru olmaz. İki kitap serisinin karşılaştırmalı çalışmasıyla açık bir şekilde gözlemlenmiştir ki İngilizce ders kitaplarında kültürün temsil edilmesindeki değişiklik, iki kültürlü ders kitaplarını çok kültürlü hale getirmiştir. ; This study has been carried out in an attempt to investigate and compare the cultural elements of two course book sets published in the 1980s and the 2000s. These two sets have been designed by foreign publishers for young learners of English. The first set published in the 1980s was widely used in Turkey. The second set is still used by public and private schools in Turkey. The aim of the study is to investigate the quantity and the quality of cultural elements in EFL course books by using the selected criteria. Secondly, it aims to find out whether there have been any changes in representation of the cultural elements for the past few decades with the changing practices in incorporating culture into the language teaching practices. To find out these, the researcher set out with nine different categories: a) social identity and social groups, b) social interaction c) belief and behavior d) socio-political institutions e) socialization and life-cycle f) national history g) national geography h) national cultural heritage i) stereotypes and national identity. The information has been analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively. The results of the analysis indicated that the two sets of course books differ in the way they deal with the culture. While the first set of books published in the 1980s disregards the culture of the other countries where English is not spoken as the native language, the second set of books published in the 2000s has adopted a multi-cultural perspective in all aspects. It focuses on more global issues in the units. However, it does not mean that the latter totally disregards the cultural aspect of the countries whose native language is English. It is clearly observed upon the comparative study of the two sets of books that the change in the representation of culture in English course books has transformed the bicultural course books into multicultural ones.

I dag ved vi meget lidt om de forandringsprocesser, der er med til at udvælge nogle teknologier frem for andre som værende de kommende vækstteknologier. Det er det overordnede område, som denne afhandling søger at belyse i sammenspillet mellem teknologisk fremsyn og innovation. Afhandlingen belyser mere specifikt de europæiske teknologiplatforme, som med deres industridrevne roadmap-processer er nye i det politiske landskab. Et teknologisk roadmap er et fremsynsredskab, der kan anvendes i aktør-netværkssammenhænge til at anlægge et langsigtet markedsperspektiv på teknologiudvikling. En fremsynsproces kan åbne op for mange usikkerhedsparametre, men én af pointerne er netop, at usikkerhed er en væsentlig forudsætning for forandring. De europæiske teknologiplatforme udgør i dag en central del af EU-Kommissionens instrumenter til at nå de innovationspolitiske mål: at skabe en bedre europæisk innovationsindsats og konkurrenceevne. Platformenes politiske formål understøttes af et innovationssystemperspektiv i form af at bringe centrale innovationsaktører sammen. Afhandlingen vægter herigennem at se innovation som en interaktiv proces i opbygning af kompetencer mellem teknologibrugere, producenter, forskningsinstitutioner og politikkere. Forfatteren analyserer to industri-drevne europæiske teknologiplatforme: én i vindenergi og én i CO2-indfangning og lagring fra fossile kraftværker. Begge teknologier er udpeget som værende betydningsfulde for den europæiske konkurrenceevne. Samtidig er de centrale midler til at nå EU's energi-og klimapolitiske mål. Afhandlingens undersøgelser kombinerer en narrativ tilgang i form af interviews, der afdækker innovations- og teknologiske barrierer og en socialnetværksanalyse af interessenternes rolle i de to platforme over en 5-årig periode, gennem hvilke en fælles vision og en strategisk forskningsagenda for 2020 blev skabt. Herved er nye metoder til en organisatorisk tilgang til innovationssystemer udviklet, hvor ny viden er, hvordan selektionsmekanismer ændrer sig over tid. Den metodemæssige lære åbner op for at se teknologiudvikling som en kollektiv proces, hvor nye færdigheder også består i at holde styr på udviklingen af de omkringliggende konkurrenter, virksomheder eller forskningsinstitutter. Afhandlingen bidrager med praksis erfaring med udvikling af roadmap på virksomhedsniveau kombineret med scenarier og dynamiske kompetencer fra strategilitteraturen. Afhandlingen bidrager således med nyt, idet den sammentænker innovation og fremsynsforskning med afsæt i et evolutionært perspektiv. ; The thesis focuses on the coordination of technology-intensive innovation activities at both sector and firm levels, supported by the use of the strategic roadmapping method. Investigations combine qualitative and quantitative research methods; using a narrative approach in the form of interviews to uncover innovation and technology barriers, and a social network analysis of stakeholders' role in relation to two technology platforms: TPWind and ZEP (Zero Emission Platform), during a five-year period when the roadmaps 2020 were developed. In this respect, the thesis emphasizes the view of innovation as an interactive process to develop competences among technology users, producers, research institutions, and politicians. As a result, knowledge on how the platforms evolved, and their dynamics, provide new reflections on the innovation systems approach: that connectivity seems to change along the changes in problem. This is how the players create new knowledge. Thus, the identification of political and technical barriers is important selection mechanisms in how connectivity grows and changes. The thesis, furthermore, includes practical experience and account of roadmap development at the firm level providing reflections on dynamic capabilities. Understanding roadmapping has been a journey in this research showing that there is no 'one size fits all'. Rather the strength of roadmapping lies in the participatory process and in the action-oriented, systematic framework that aligns layers of information while moving from a current position to a desired future.

Questa tesi punta a ricostruire il pensiero politico di Bell tra il secondo dopoguerra e la metà degli anni Settanta. In tale arco cronologico, la riflessione politica di Bell si profila, per usare una formula di Jean-François Lyotard, come una «grande narrazione» del capitalismo. Nel complesso, cioè, l'opera di Bell appare come una storia sociologica del capitalismo, che nella fine delle ideologie registra l'apogeo del fordismo e, in seguito, ne mette in luce le trasformazioni in senso post-industriale, indagando le ricadute che tali mutamenti implicano sul piano dei rapporti di potere e della legittimazione del sistema. Nell'ottica di Bell, pertanto, il capitalismo non costituisce soltanto un sistema economico, ma la forma specifica attraverso cui si dispiega la società nel suo complesso, attivando una serie di rapporti di potere mediante i quali gli individui vengono coordinati e subordinati. Una siffatta concezione del capitalismo agisce immediatamente la questione del potere e solleva un interrogativo a esso connesso: «che cosa tiene insieme una società?». Una domanda che attraversa la traiettoria intellettuale di Bell e, sia pure declinata mediante una terminologia sociologica, riflette in realtà l'ambizione delle scienze sociali di farsi teoria politica. Esse si presentano quindi come teoria politica della modernità, nella misura in cui distinguono il potere sociale dal potere politico e, al tempo stesso, instaurano tra i due poli una tensione dialettica produttiva. Mettendo a fuoco la concettualizzazione del potere nell'opera di Bell si analizzeranno le mutazioni nel rapporto tra Stato e società negli Stati Uniti durante la Golden Age del capitalismo. In particolare, si metterà in luce nella grande narrazione di Bell l'ascesa e il declino di un ordine istituzionale che, alla metà degli anni Settanta, appare percorso da molteplici tensioni politiche e sociali che preannunciano l'avvento dell'età globale e il bisogno di una nuova "scala" di governo. ; This dissertations deals with Daniel Bell's political thought between the post-war era and the Seventies. During these years, Bell's political reflection appears to be, to say it in the words of Jean-François Lyotard, a «grand narrative» of capitalism. Overall, Bell's work is a sociological history of capitalism. It points out the height of fordism by assuming the end of ideology, and then sheds light on the post-industrial transformations, looking at the effects produced on power relations and the legitimacy of the socio-political system. In Bell's view, capitalism is not only an economic system, but a complex social system which places individuals in the power structure by means of subordination and coordination. «What holds a society together?» is the question that go trough the whole trajectory of his reflection. It looks a sociological question, but actually it is a political question, because the order of society depends on the legitimacy of obligation relationships. The link between politics and sociology marks Bell's thought and shows how social sciences are assumed to be the political theory of modernity: they analyze the political side of social relations as well as the social element inherent to the workings of political institutions. In other words, I look at the way in which Bell, «the sociologist of capitalism» as «The Economist» put it, distinguishes between social power and political power and then makes them interact. Focusing on Bell's view of power I analyze the transformations occurred in the relationship between State and society in the US during the so-called Golden Age of Capitalism. Particularly, drawing the trajectory of this «grand narrative» of capitalism up to mid-seventies, I highlight that Bell recognizes the coming of a global age, full of political and social strains, and the need of a new institutional scale to cope with them.

Instituto de Investigaciones Históricas. Facultad de Historia. Programa Institucional de Doctorado en Historia ; Tabasco lived particularly important events that occurred in the country, sometimes belatedly and sometimes as the case of anticlericalism with a unique style. Local and national historians have treated the garridista period from different perspectives, but have not delved into the confrontation that the State argued against the Catholic Church. And not just about the laws and decrees that local or national governments issued to control the Church and its ministers, it is also essential to know the participation of the population in another sense, everyday. Therefore this paper reconstructs the religious conflict from another perspective. And is that the practices, symbols and representations are essential in this fight. Thus, parties, fairs, carnivals and other recreational activities, as well as entertain the public, also served to counter the influence of Catholicism. To accomplish this work we propose three important goals that helped clarify the original idea. First, learn in depth control mechanisms that developed the state government to submit to the Company during the anticlerical movement. This increase knowledge about religious persecution in Tabasco, because it crashed in political and social life of the institution, as well as Mexico. At the same time analyze the political, social and cultural environment in the state, this as determinants for the formation of groups that supported and resisted anticlericalism factors. And it is from this juncture to identify organizations that emerged during this movement, so we can explain in a clear and deep this phenomenon in the state of Tabasco. Finally we examine the strategies, objectives, anticlerical and antireligious programs that federal and state governments implemented through local groups, the intention was to combat the so-called "fanaticism" religious society in Tabasco. ; Tabasco vivió de forma particular los acontecimientos importantes que ocurrieron en el país, a veces de manera tardía y en otras como el caso del anticlericalismo con un estilo singular. Los historiadores locales y nacionales han tratado el periodo garridista desde distintas perspectivas, sin embargo no han profundizado en el enfrentamiento que sostuvo el Estado contra la Iglesia católica. Y no solo se trata de las leyes y decretos que los gobiernos locales o nacionales expidieron para controlar a la Iglesia y sus ministros, también es fundamental conocer la participación de la población en otro sentido, el de la vida cotidiana. Por ello el presente trabajo reconstruye el conflicto religioso desde otra visión. Y es que las prácticas, los símbolos y las representaciones son fundamentales en esta lucha. De esta forma, las fiestas, ferias, carnavales y otras actividades lúdicas, además de entretener a la población, también sirvieron para contrarrestar la influencia del catolicismo. Para lograr este trabajo planteamos tres importantes objetivos que ayudaron a clarificar la idea original. Primero, conocer a profundidad los mecanismos de control que desarrolló el gobierno estatal para someter a la sociedad durante el movimiento anticlerical. De esta forma ampliar el conocimiento sobre la persecución religiosa en Tabasco, ya que impactó en la vida política y social de la entidad, así como de México. Al mismo tiempo analizamos el entorno político, social y cultural en la entidad, esto como factores determinantes para la formación de grupos que apoyaron y resistieron el anticlericalismo. Y es que a partir de ésta coyuntura identificamos a las organizaciones que surgieron durante este movimiento, por lo tanto podemos explicar de forma clara y profunda este fenómeno en el estado de Tabasco. Por último examinamos las estrategias, los objetivos, los programas anticlericales y antirreligiosos que los gobiernos federales y estatales implementaron a través de grupos locales, la intención fue combatir el denominado "fanatismo" religioso en la sociedad tabasqueña.

We studied the socio-political integration policies being applied in Germany, Spain and France, highlighting their similarities and differences. We then checked whether their integration models were consistent with the common immigration policy of the UE and whether the latter allows them to plan measures for handling immigration to suit their own particular needs. We employed the Comparative Education methodology; the units of comparison were Germany, Spain and France, whose resident foreign populations represent more than 50% of the EU total. We studied the following: history and context; integration at federal and national level; the social-educational requirements for acquiring nationality; and the teaching of the mother tongue of immigrant students in educational institutions. We discovered that, even though the three countries belong to the EU and have common principles and rules about immigration, the design, management and ways of conceiving the integration of immigrant populations vary considerably. ; Estudiamos las políticas socioeducativas de integración que se están realizando en Alemania, España y Francia poniendo de relieve similitudes y diferencias existentes entre ellas. A continuación comprobamos si sus modelos de integración guardan coherencia con la política común de inmigración gestada en la UE, y si ésta les permite diseñar medidas de gestión de la inmigración acordes con su propia idiosincrasia. Utilizamos la metodología propia de la Educación Comparada, siendo las unidades de comparación Alemania, España y Francia, cuya población extranjera residente representa más del 50% del total de la UE. Estudiamos los antecedentes, el contexto, el la integración a nivel federal/nacional, los requisitos de carácter socioeducativo que se exigen para la adquisición de la nacionalidad y la enseñanza de la lengua materna del alumnado inmigrante en las instituciones educativas. Hemos constatado cómo, a pesar de pertenecer los tres países a la UE y tener principios y normas comunes en materia de inmigración, el diseño, la gestión y la forma de concebir la integración de la población inmigrante varía considerablemente entre ellos. La diversidad de sociedades que integran la UE, sus variopintas necesidades e intereses económicos y comerciales, así como sus distintas idiosincrasias, tradiciones y costumbres, están dificultando en gran medida la construcción de una política global de migración. ; Estudámos as políticas socioeducativas de integração que se estão a realizar na Alemanha, Espanha e França pondo em relevo as semelhanças e diferenças existentes entre elas. Em seguida, comprovamos os seus modelos de integração estão em coerência coma política comum de imigração gerada na UE, e se esta lhes permite desenhar medidas de gestão da imigração coerentes com a sua própria idiosincrasia. Utilizamos a metodologia própria para a Educação Comparada, sendo as unidades de comparação Alemanha,Espanha e França, cuja população estrangeira residente representa mais de 50% do total da UE. Estudamos os antecedentes, o contexto, a integração a nível federal/nacional, os requisitos de caráter socioeducativo que se exigem para a aquisição da nacionalidade e o ensino da língua materna dos estudantes imigrantes nas instituições educativas. Constatamos como, a pesar de pertencerem os três países à UE e terem princípios e normas comum sem matéria de imigração, o desenho e a forma de conceber a integração da população imigrante varia consideravelmente entre eles. A diversidade de sociedades que integram a UE, suas variadas necessidades e interesses econômicos e comerciais, assim como as suas idiossincrasias, tradições e costumes, estão a dificultarem grande medida a construção de uma política global de migração.

У статті досліджуються онтологічні та аксіологічні аспекти ролі та значення містобудівної діяльності в місцевому самоврядуванні. ; In the formation, development and practical implementation of local government as a self-governing territorial organization of public (municipal) authorities plays an important role urban activities, serving as the main tool of the living space in which people operate related settlements members of local communities. Hence urban activity has existential significance for the existence of local government as the territorial organization of local communities, and not just as a state-legal and legal phenomena, but also private and personal phenomenon that facilitates and organizes daily life and its surrounding environment. Therefore, the role and importance of urban planning in local government is an urgent problem , and as having great theoretical and practical significance for the subject matter of the origin and organization of the state in any of its forms, as well as the existence of daily activities of local communities and its members. The whole history of human civilization is directly related to human activities to transform his environment. Moreover, some elements of these activities, which initially were purely existential-functional nature and was aimed at ensuring the survival of human beings in difficult conditions surrounding environment, later turned into a teleological reasonable and conscious technological activities of living space by building human settlements urban activity, and still defines and describes the stages of the existence and development of mankind. In the ontological aspect of human settlement (town) a complex system corresponding tangible and intangible, group and individual, existential and everyday relationships that are characterized by the presence of relevant material and procedural aspects: firstly, this land (subject framework of urban development, the corresponding Nomos of the Earth), and secondly, built-up land (corresponding characteristic «filling» integral and basic «matrix» feature of urban development), and thirdly, the land on which people live («anthropological Search» territory as a manifestation basic teleological dominant urban development), and fourthly, land with buildings that used for long term stay (temporal, chronological feature of urban development). However, it should be understood that the content and implementation of urban development characterized by a local approach, it performed in the framework of the local community in its best interest to implement individual and group social and functional life aspirations of its members, that is, within the territory of which occurs constituted, institutionalized, functions and implemented local government, as a local institution of public authority formed by the very local community. Hence, urban activities are inherent and characteristic feature of local government, because it is formed by, ordered and modernized living space a human member of the local community in accordance with its interests, the interests of its reference group (micro) or the whole community (makro community). Activities around the organization and construction of human settlements is multidimensional in nature, it affects not only the initial construction, but also the diversity of relations that occur and are associated with these processes. Indeed, in a society where there are social and economic changes they cause an objective need to transform the human environment at the local level of functioning, in within the local community (construction, reconstruction habitat, housing, public buildings, industrial facilities, engineering devices, streets, recreation, etc.). But such an optimal habitat conversion is only possible in the development of various types of project documentation developed by competent actors to order the relevant customers and with the consent and approval of relevant government entities in the field of urban development.

Penelitian tentang relasi kekuasaan menarik untuk dibahas karena kekuasaan adalah bagian dari kehidupan. Umumnya,kekuasaan diartikan sebagai daya atau pengaruh yang dimiliki oleh individu atau lembaga untuk memaksakan kehendak kepada orang lain. interpretasi kekuasaan tersebut telah digunakan oleh pemerhati sejarah, politik, dan sosial. Karya sastra sebagai produk sosial masyarakat dan ekspresi sosial juga dapat mengandung kekuasaan, seperti yang terlihat dalam novel berjudul The Good Muslim. Dalam novel tersebut relasi kekuasaan digunakan sebagai strategi kekuasaan yang menyebar dalam seluruh jalinan perhubungan sosial yang bersifat positif dan produktif dan diarahkan pada tubuh individu. kekuasaan juga memiliki peran penting dalam mendominasi orang lain. Hal ini dimungkinkan orang yang kuat mendominasi orang tak berdaya. Dalam pelaksanaan kekuasaan dibutuhkan mekanisme disiplin agar individu menjadi patuh dan mudah diatur. Penelitian yang berjudul Power Relation in Tahmima Anam's The Good Muslim menggunakan teori kekuasaan Foucault dalam rangka untuk mengetahui bentuk relasi kekuasaan yang ada dalam novel antara karakter yang kuat dan yang tak berdaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini juga menjelaskan resistensi tokoh Maya dan Zaid melawan dominasi kekuasaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa relasi kekuasaan antarindividu yang terjalin dalam kehidupan keluarga, agama dan masyarakat mendorong terjadinya individu-individu yang menggunakan kekuasaan dan mengalami kekuasaan.Pelaksanaan kekuasaan atas tubuh individu dapat dilihat dari bagaimana tokoh yang berkuasa mendominasi tokoh yang tak berdaya. Dominasi terjadi karena adanya ketimpangan dan ketidakseimbangan antar tokoh. kekuasaan dihadirkan dengan aturan dan norma sosial yang bertujuan untuk membuat orang patuh dan tunduk pada aturan yang berlaku di masyarakat dan keluarga. Adanya mekanisme disipliner atas tubuh dalam keluarga dan masyarakat dihadirkan dalam bentuk agama yang berfungsi untuk mengawasi dan mengontrol perilaku individu. In the novel power relation is used as authority strategy that spread through positive and productive social connection that focuses on body of individual. Power also have important role in dominate other people. It is possible for powerful dominate the powerless people. In the implementation of power needs discipline mechanism in order individual become obedient and easy to set up. This study, entitled Power Relation in Tahmima's Anam The Good Muslim is using Foucault's concept of power in order to find out the form of power relations exist within relationship between powerful and powerless characters. The purpose of this study also describes the resistances of character Maya and Zaid against the domination of power. The result shows that the power relation between individuals based on family contact, religion, and society can possibly force us to use or being used by power. The exercise of power over the individual's body can seen from how powerful character dominate powerless character. Domination occurs because of the inequality and imbalance among characters. Power presented with the rules and social norm that aim to make people obey and comply with rules which applied in society and family. The existence of disciplinary mechanisms over the body in the family and society are presented in the form of religion which serves to oversee and control individual's behavior. Language teachers, similar to teachers in all fields, are often encouraged to consider the importance of lifelong and on-going professional learning. Many studies in Turkey have evaluated the in-service teacher education programmes for English teachers, revealed the benefits as well as the problems encountered (Güçeri, 2005; Cimer, Çakır & Çimer, 2010; Uysal, 2012). This study investigated the impact of an in-service teacher education rogramme (INSET) on teachers who worked in Critical Friends Group (CFG) at Mersin University, School of Foreign Languages. In this study, the researcher aimed at stimulating the professional development of teachers. To this end, a development-based INSET course was programmed for the instructors according to needs analysis conducted. In the first phase of the study, the attitudes and expectations of the teachers towards an INSET course were inquired. The teachers were asked to specify the areas they thought they need to improve in their teaching. The data was gathered by the means of questionnaires and interviews. Then the teachers were encouraged to join in the Critical Friends Group (CFG), which is a method where 'critical friends', who are colleagues from the same educational institution work to help each other. CFG was formed with 6 teachers and the researcher was the facilitator and the observer in the group. Protocols were used in the meetings. Each protocol cycles was organised by the researcher and the group was informed about the procedure thoroughly. ; Hizmet içi eğitimin öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimlerinde anahtar rol oynadığına ve bilgi, beceri ve isteklerini arttırdığına inanılmaktadır. Yabancı dil öğretmenleri, diğer alanlardaki öğretmenler gibi, hayat boyu ve sürekli öğrenmenin önemini dikkate almaları konusunda sık sık teşvik edilirler. Ülkemizde İngilizce öğretmenlerine yönelik hizmet içi eğitim programlarının değerlendirilmesi ve öğretmenler üzerindeki etkilerinin araştırılmasını konu alan çalışmalar mevcuttur (Güçeri, 2005; Cimer, Çakır & Çimer, 2010; Uysal, 2012). Çalışmalar hizmet içi eğitimin gerekliliğini, öğretmenlerin beklentilerini, tutumlarını ve karşılaşılan problemleri ortaya koymuştur. The basic identity of the Balkans in the last two centuries, since the term has been in political use, is inextricably linked to the issues of security and insecurity, chaos, violence, barbarism and underdevelopment. By the different perceptions of the Balkans, this area is seen as a part of Europe geographically, yet not belonging to Europe culturally, despite the fact that all Balkan nations, beyond any doubt, are European nations by all their characteristics. Extreme political instability, followed by chronic armed conflicts in which serious crimes are the main contents of the conflict, unfinished states that are strongly influenced by the great powers, economic and cultural backwardness and semi-oriental society, unable to build modern institutions, are the main stereotypes of the Balkans in the eyes of the so-called 'civilized world'. The main reason for this unfavorable perception of the Balkans lies in the fact that this area is in the focus of the Western public opinion only in times of great crisis, but in other situations it is ignored with a certain amount of contempt. The end of the twentieth century and the bloody breakup of the former Yugoslavia, again put the Balkans and its problems in the focus of world public opinion. Termination (cease?!) of the wars in the former Yugoslavia and the complete collapse of communism open the perspective of a true integration of the Balkans into Europe, through the process of accession of the former Yugoslav federation members and former Soviet bloc members in this area to the European Union and NATO. This paper is addressing the current security risks, challenges and risks that threaten the Balkans, and define its current security identity. In the first place, it is the question of the status of Kosovo, and then the question of the constitutional reconstruction of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the question of relations between Greece and Macedonia and other issues that may pose a potential security threat emanating from the so-called 'asymmetric security threats.'. ; Osnovni identitet Balkana u poslednja dva veka, od kada je taj termin u političkoj upotrebi, bio je neodvojivo povezan sa pitanjima bezbednosti, odnosno nebezbednosti, haosa, nasilja, varvarizma i nerazvijenosti. U različitim percepcijama Balkana, ovaj prostor se doživljava kao geografski deo Evrope, koji joj kulturno ipak ne pripada, uprkos činjenici da su svi balkanski narodi, izvan svake sumnje, evropski narodi, po svim svojim karakteristikama. Izrazita politička nestabilnost, hronično praćena oružanim sukobima u kojima su teški zločini glavni sadržaj sukoba, nedovršene države koje se nalaze pod snažnim uticajem velikih sila, ekonomska i kulturna zaostalost i poluorijentalno društvo nesposobno da izgradi moderne institucije predstavljaju glavni stereotip Balkana u očima tzv 'civilizovanog sveta'. Glavni razlozi za ovako nepovoljnu percepciju Balkana leže u činjenici da se ovaj prostor nalazio u fokusu interesovanja zapadnog javnog mnjenja samo u periodima velikih kriza, dok je u drugim situacijama sa određenom dozom prezira ignorisan. Kraj XX veka i krvavo razbijanje bivše Jugoslavije, ponovo je u fokus svetskog javnog mnjenja stavio Balkan i njegove probleme. Završetak (prekid?!), ratova na prostoru bivše SFRJ i dovršetak sloma komunizma, otvorio je perspektive istinskog uključenja Balkana u Evropu, kroz proces učlanjenja bivših članica jugoslovenske federacije i bivših članica sovjetskog bloka, sa ovih prostora, u Evropsku uniju i NATO. Ovaj rad će se baviti analizom aktuelnih bezbednosnih rizika, izazova i pretnji koje ugrožavaju Balkan, i koje definišu njegov aktuelni bezbednosni identitet u prvom redu to je pitanje statusa Kosova i Metohije, pitanje ustavne rekonstrukcije Bosne i Hercegovine, pitanje odnosa Grčke i Makedonije i druga pitanja koja mogu predstavljati potencijalnu bezbednosnu pretnju, koja potiču od tzv 'asimetričnih bezbednosnih pretnji'.

The processes of natural and mechanical movement of the population observed in the Transbaikal Territory in the past two decades testify to the extremely negative trends in the formation of the demographic potential of the region. Among these trends the following ones should be primarily named: low birth rate, high mortality rate, especially among men of working age, steady decrease in the proportion of rural population in the total population of the region, which is very unfavorable effect on reproduction (fertility in rural areas up to 1,3-1,4 times higher than in urban areas). The share of persons of retirement age increases. Negative changes occur in the family institution: increasing desire for small families. The attitude related to marriage and marital status changes: the stability of married unions decrease. The out-migration enhances, which entails, even natural growth, decline in population. These circumstances do not meet the economic and geopolitical interests. For investigation the factors affecting reproductive behavior in the Transbaikal Territory, the taxonomic method of multivariate analysis and the correlation analysis have been applied. Six groups of factors have been formed, which include: a healthy way of life, education, economic factors, habitat, social and domestic factors, social stability and moral-psychological factors. Results indicated that the greatest impact on the birth rate by factors: "Early childhood education" (r = 0,87); «Spiritual and moral education» (r = 0,76), «Housing Affordability» (r = -0,7) (for describing factor chosen as destabilizing indicators such as the proportion of families standing on the account, as in need of accommodation, the percentage of families, who have expressed a desire to participate in the sub-program "Housing for young families", but didn't get help), "Safety and the level of crime" (r = -0,52); "Material well-being" (r = -0,45). In 2013 the Russian Government approved the State Program of Russian Federation "Socio-economic development of the Far East and the Baikal region". Implementation of the program can be successful only on condition of the normalization of demographic trends and social conditions. ; Процессы естественного и механического движения населения, наблюдаемые в Забайкальском крае в последние два десятилетия, свидетельствуют о крайне негативных тенденциях в формировании демографического потенциала региона. Из числа этих тенденций следует в первую очередь назвать следующие: низкую рождаемость; высокий уровень смертности, особенно мужчин трудоспособного возраста; неуклонное уменьшение доли сельского населения в общей численности жителей региона, что весьма неблагоприятно сказывается на воспроизводстве населения (рождаемость в сельской местности выше в 1,3-1,4 раза, чем в городских поселениях). Увеличивается доля лиц старше трудоспособного возраста. Негативные изменения происходят в институте семьи: усиливается стремление к малодетности. Изменяется отношение к регистрации брака и состоянию в браке: снижается стабильность супружеских союзов. Усиливается миграционный отток, что влечет за собой, даже при естественном приросте, снижение численности населения. Указанные обстоятельства не отвечают экономическим и геополитическим интересам страны. Для исследования факторов, оказывающих воздействие на репродуктивное поведение в Забайкальском крае, применены таксономический метод многомерного анализа и корреляционный анализ. Сформировано шесть групп факторов, в числе которых: здоровый образ жизни, образование, экономические факторы, среда обитания, социально-бытовые факторы, социальная стабильность общества и нравственнопсихологические факторы. Результаты работы показали, что наибольшее воздействие на рождаемость оказывают факторы: «Дошкольное образование» (r = 0,87); «Духовно-нравственное воспитание» (r = 0,76), «Доступность жилья» (r = -0,7) (для характеристики фактора были выбраны такие дестабилизирующие показатели, как доля семей, состоящих на учете в качестве нуждающихся в жилых помещениях, и доля семей, изъявивших желаниеучаствовать в подпрограмме «Обеспечение жильем молодых семей», но не получивших помощь); «Безопасность и уровень преступности» (r = -0,52); «Материальное благополучие» (r = -0,45). В 2013 г. Правительством РФ утверждена Государственная программа РФ «Социально-экономическое развитие Дальнего Востока и Байкальского региона». Реализация Программы может быть успешной только при условии нормализации демографических тенденций и социальной обстановки.

Este artículo describe el proceso de consolidación del Programa Oro Verde y cómo éste ha ganado reconocimiento como una iniciativa innovadora y exitosa que promueve buenas prácticas sociales y ambientales en la minería de pequeña escala. Asimismo, presenta el contexto local y regional de los mineros de Oro Verde y pretende explicar la manera como dos comunidades afrocolombianas, dos ONG locales y una entidad gubernamental, lograron acuerdos alternativos sobre al aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales con el fin de superar los desafíos del Chocó colombiano. Se argumenta que uno de los factores de éxito es la interacción entre los diferentes actores para crear un sistema de gobernanza privado (SGPM). En el caso del Programa Oro Verde, las normas creadas por los sistemas internacionales alrededor del desarrollo sostenible fueron necesarias para facilitar el flujo de recursos financieros hacia el programa por medio de las ONG, así como para abrir las puertas a comunidades del Chocó a un mercado internacional que valora los productos sostenibles. De igual forma, las políticas nacionales alrededor de los mercados verdes y la existencia de un instituto de investigación gubernamental facilitaron y legitimaron el proceso de certificación. Finalmente, la existencia de la norma que reconoce el derecho a la propiedad colectiva de comunidades afrodescendientes, fue clave para la viabilidad del proyecto. Todas estas organizaciones, trabajando bajo un esquema de anidamiento institucional que respeta y acoge normas e intereses, diferentes pero interdependientes, fueron esenciales para la consolidación de un NSMD que hoy en día tiene reconocimiento mundial y que se ha convertido en un elemento clave para algunas comunidades afrocolombianas en sus procesos de reivindicación y de protección del derecho a la autodeterminación. ; The paper describes how the Oro Verde Program emerged, and how it has gained recognition as an innovative program that has successfully promoted improved social and environmental practices for small scale miners. The paper describes the local and regional context where the miners from Oro Verde are from, and attempts to explain how it waspossible for two afro-colombian communities, two NGOs and a government agency to find alternative arrangements to overcome the challenges that result from the complexities of the Choco region in Colombia. The paper argues that one factor of success is the interaction among participants to create a Non-State Market Driven Governance System. In the case of the Oro Verde Program, the norms created by the international system surrounding sustainable development were necessary for allowing the NGOs to bring financial resources into the project as well as opening the doors to isolated communities in Choco to an international market that valued sustainably produced products. Similarly, the national policies surrounding Green Markets and the existence of a government research institution, made the certification process possible and legitimate. Finally, having a law that recognized land rights to afro-Colombian communities and the community councils as local authorities, as well as customary laws about natural resource use and access within these territories was key for the viability of the project. All of these organizations, working as a nested governance system, that respected and embraced different but interdependent norms and interests, were key for the consolidation of a NSMD that has resonated throughout the world and that has become an element of some afro-Colombians' struggle to protect their rights for self-determination.

The Zamorano Arthropod Collection was founded more than 30 years ago. It includes more than 250,000 specimens, with the dominant orders being Coleoptera, Hymenoptera, and Lepidoptera. Data of more than 90,000 of the identified insect specimens are digitized in a comprehensive database, and were collected in more than 300 sites, most within Honduras. The inventories of scarab and longhorn beetles, as well as of hymenopterous parasitoids, are of outstanding scientific value and unique in the region. Four influential projects, financed by external funds, were performed during the first 25 years of the collection´s existence, and are described with their main achievements: 1) inventory of the parasitoids of the sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius); 2) diversity and biology of jewel scarab Chrysina spp. (Scarabaeidae); 3) inventory of the scarab beetle subfamily Dynastinae (Scarabaeidae); and 4) advanced capacity-building for teachers, nature reserve guards, and guides in various aspects of entomology. Often, support is provided in the way of coordination, logistics, and implementation for foreign entomological research projects in Honduras. Also, in cooperation with national foundations and governmental institutions, research on the arthropod biodiversity of protected areas in Honduras is conducted. For most of these, only fragmentary or no data still exist concerning the present arthropod fauna. During the coming years, the Zamorano Arthropod Collection will be united with another collection of outstanding regional importance, The Entomological Museum currently located in León, Nicaragua; this will add another 250,000 specimens, mainly collected in Nicaragua, to the Zamorano collection. Therefore, the Zamorano collection will house about 500,000 insect specimens and will evolve into the most comprehensive and representative arthropod collection of both Honduras and Nicaragua, becoming one of the largest and most important arthropod collections in Central America. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.5377/ceiba.v52i1.1036 ; La Colección de Artrópodos de Zamorano fue fundada hace más de 30 años y tiene más de 250,000 especímenes, los órdenes más dominantes son Coleoptera, Hymenoptera y Lepidoptera. Más de 90,000 especímenes identificados están digitalizados en su propia base de datos y han sido recolectados en más de 300 sitios, la mayoría en Honduras. Los inventarios de escarabajos de las familias Cerambycidae y Scarabaeidae y de parasitoides himenópteros son de valor científico enorme y único en toda la región. Cuatro proyectos muy influyentes, financiados por fondos externos, fueron realizados durante los primeros 25 años de la colección y están descritos con sus logros centrales: 1) inventario de los parasitoides de la mosca blanca de la batata, Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius); 2) la diversidad y biología de los escarabajos joya, Chrysina spp. (Scarabaeidae); 3) inventario de la subfamilia Dynastinae (Scarabaeidae); y 4) la capacitación de maestros, guardarecursos y guías sobre varios aspectos de la entomología. Catorce estudiantes zamoranos hicieron sus tesis en biodiversidad vinculadas con la misión de la Colección. Zamorano apoya la organización, la logística y las investigaciones entomológicas internacionales en Honduras. Además, en cooperación con fundaciones e instituciones nacionales y estatales, se investiga la biodiversidad de artrópodos en áreas protegidas de Honduras. En la gran mayoría de estas áreas, pocos o ningún dato existe sobre la fauna de artrópodos presente. Próximamente, se unirá la Colección de Artrópodos de Zamorano con otra colección importante regionalmente, el Museo Entomológico de León, Nicaragua, añadiendo otros 250,000 especímenes, en su mayoría recolectados en Nicaragua, para ser incorporados al inventario presente. Así, la colección de Zamorano contará con aproximadamente 500,000 especímenes y se convertirá en la colección más grande y representativa de Honduras y Nicaragua, y será una de las colecciones más grandes e importantes de Centroamérica.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.5377/ceiba.v52i1.1036
