Urban agriculture, Nexus, and climate envelope are interdisciplinary topics where greenhouses are integrated into the urban and pre-urban context. Building-Greenhouse prototype (BGp) is a new integrated design developed and based on using advanced greenhouses generation, where high indoor climate control and efficient water and nutrient cycles continue to be achieved. The research analysed the Humidification and Dehumidification (HDH) techniques for building cooling, greenhouse climate control, and for water desalination systems. The research methodology is to explore applying the BGp on the governmental rural models in Egypt, where the occupants are suffering from numerous living, income, and environmental problems. The BGp is opening the door to apply decentralised urban communities, where autonomous energy, water, and food production could be achieved using brackish or seawater water. This research implemented a comprehensive analysis to develop a BGp for the governmental housing in Red Sea coast in Egypt. Designbuilder simulation analysis is used to develop the governmental rural dwellings, the greenhouse unit, and the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning system (HVAC) design. The performance of the integrated HVAC system is verified using 'TRNSYS' software simulations. The results confirmed that the integrated HVAC intervention could save 38% and 17.5-36% of the building and the greenhouse cooling loads, respectively, compared to the conventional systems. The integrated BGp application increases the occupant's indoor living quality, the socio-economic impact, and self-sufficiency of food and water. The research discusses the BGp application in comparison to the Egyptian end-use energy and market, in addition to present an economic and ecological analysis. ; Urbane Landwirtschaft, Nexus und Klimahüllen sind interdisziplinäre Themen, die Gewächshäuser in die ländliche und urbane Landwirtschaft integrieren. Der integrierte Haus-Gewächshaus-Prototyp (BGp) ist ein neues System, welches auf Grundlage der fortschrittlichen Gewächshausgenerationen entwickelt wird. Ziel ist es, ein optimales Gewächshausklima mit leistungsfähigen Wasser- und Nährstoffzyklen sowie einer effizienten Wasserrückgewinnung zu generieren. Die vorliegende Forschungsarbeit hat das Luftbefeuchtungs- und Entfeuchtungssystem (HDH) für die technische Anwendung der Gebäudekühlung, für die Kontrolle des Gewächshausklimas und für die Wasserentsalzungsanlage analysiert. Die Forschung gründet sich auf die Anwendung des BG-Prototypen, der den von der Regierung Ägyptens subventionierten Wohnhaus-Prototypen entwickeln soll. Letzterer wird in ländlichen Gebieten eingesetzt, wo die Menschen neben einem zu geringen Einkommen und Lebensstandard auch von zahlreichen Umweltproblemen betroffen sind. Für dezentrale, urbane Landschaftsräume kann BGp die Möglichkeit eröffnen autonome Energie-, Wasser-und Nahrungsmittelproduktionen einzurichten. Die vorliegende Forschungsarbeit behandelt eine umfassende Analyse, um die BGp-Technik in der Roten-Meer-Region Ägyptens anzuwenden. Die Analyse stützt sich hauptsächlich auf Simulationen. Die Designbuilder-Simulation wird bspw. verwendet, um das Haus, das Gewächshaus und das Klimaanlagensystem zu optimieren. Die Leistung des integrierten Klimaanlagensystems (HVAC) wurde wiederum mit 'TRNSYS'-Simulationen verifiziert. Die Forschungsergebnisse haben gezeigt, dass das integrierte HVAC-System im Vergleich zu bestehenden Systemen 38% des Energieverbrauchs im Haus und 17,5%-36% der Kühllasten im Gewächshaus einsparen kann. Die integrierte BGp-Anwendung könnte somit die Wohnqualität im Haus und außerdem die sozioökonomischen Voraussetzungen, im Sinne der Selbstversorgung mit Nahrung und Wasser, verbessern.

H Επαγγελματική Εκπαίδευση και Κατάρτιση (ΕΕΚ) και η Διά Βίου Μάθηση (ΔΒΜ) βρίσκονται στο προσκήνιο της Ευρωπαϊκής εκπαιδευτικής πολιτικής, προς αντιμετώπιση της έλλειψης ενδιαφέροντος των μαθητών για τα αντικείμενα STEM και την αναδυόμενη ανάγκη της αγοράς εργασίας για νέες δεξιότητες. Πολλές από τις τεχνολογίες αιχμής, με εφαρμογή στην καθημερινή ζωή, βασίζονται ή συνδέονται με το διάστημα, ενώ το τελευταίο φαίνεται να προκαλεί το γνήσιο ενδιαφέρον των μαθητών. Ως εκ τούτου, η συσχετιζόμενη με το διάστημα εκπαίδευση, μπορεί να συνεισφέρει στις ως άνω ευρωπαϊκές στρατηγικές, ενεργώντας μεταξύ άλλων ως πόλος έλξης μαθητών στα πεδία STEM, καθώς και σε αντικείμενα που σχετίζονται με το περιβάλλον και τη γεωχωρική πληροφορία. Η παρούσα εργασία εστιάζει στην πληθώρα εκπαιδευτικών πηγών του Ευρωπαϊκού Οργανισμού Διαστήματος (ΕΟΔ) με θέμα την παρατήρηση της 1653 Γης από το διάστημα, οι οποίες είναι άμεσα προσβάσιμες, χωρίς κόστος, αλλά και διαθέσιμες σε διαφορετικές γλώσσες. Η αξιοποίησή τους στην ΕΕΚ και τη ΔΒΜ, ιδιαίτερα για την προώθηση των πεδίων STEM, καθώς και την ανάπτυξη πράσινων και γεωχωρικών δεξιοτήτων, θα επέφερε πολυδιάστατα και αμφίδρομα θετικά αποτελέσματα για την Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση και τον ΕΟΔ. Τέλος, προτείνεται η συνολική και σε βάθος αξιολόγηση της δυνητικής συνεισφοράς της διαστημικής εκπαίδευσης στην ΕΕΚ και τη ΔΒΜ. ; Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Life-Long Learning (LLL), stand at the forefront of Europe's strategic policies in Education, in response to the lack of students' interest in STEM and the emerging needs for new skills in the labour market. Space can be a particularly useful platform for attracting students to STEM, environmental as well as topics related to geospatial information, as many state-of-the-art technologies used in everyday life are space-based, while space seems to also be creating a genuine interest among most learners. This study focuses on the plethora of European Space Agency (ESA) Earth Observation (EO) education material readily accessible, at no cost and available in several languages. Undertaking the effort to optimize/extend the use of these existing EO educational resources also in VET and LLL, for promoting STEM subjects, as well as for the development of green and geospatial skills, would be to the mutual benefit of both ESA and the European Union. Finally, it is proposed that an assessment of the utility and potential for the overall ESA Education resources (other than EO), but also of other Space Agencies and relevant institutions active in space education, in VET and LLL would be of particular interest. In dieser Dissertation werden die Themen Studienstrukturreform, Beschäftigungsfähigkeit und die besondere Situation der Absolventinnen und Absolventen der Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften untersucht. Im Theorieteil wird entlang der Modernisierungstheorie nach Ulrich Beck eine Analyse des gesellschaftlichen Wandels der Teilbereiche Arbeit und Bildung vorgenommen. Die Modernisierung, die als multidimensionaler Vorgang beschrieben wird, ist als Ursache und Motor für die Bologna-Reform zu verstehen, so die Grundthese der Arbeit. Beschäftigungsfähigkeit stellt ein zentrales Ziel der Bologna-Reform dar. Im Rahmen der Untersuchung wird entlang eines Diskurses um den Begriff und dessen Verwendung untersucht, welche Fähigkeiten, Kompetenzen und Kenntnisse Studierende der Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften vermittelt bekommen sollen, damit sie Beschäftigungsfähigkeit erwerben. Ein dritter Schwerpunkt des theoretischen Abschnitts kennzeichnet die Beschreibung der Bologna-Reform. Im Rahmen des empirischen Teils wurden die an der Bologna-Reform beteiligten Akteure unter Verwendung von quantitativen und qualitativen Methoden der empirischen Sozialforschung untersucht. So brachte die Dokumentenanalyse relevanter Bologna-Dokumente hervor, dass auf allen Ebenen der Hochschulpolitik Beschäftigungsfähigkeit thematisiert wird. Ein weiteres zentrales Ergebnis der empirischen Untersuchung ist, dass sowohl die befragten Absolvent/innen der Philosophischen Fakultäten der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin als auch die Arbeitgeber/innen die Integration von praxisrelevanten Elementen ins Hochschulstudium begrüßen. An der praktischen Umsetzung wird jedoch Kritik geübt. Trotz Thematisierung der Beschäftigungsfähigkeit und Einführung praxisrelevanter Elemente in die Curricula bleibt die Akzeptanz des Bachelorabschlusses insbesondere in den Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften auf dem Arbeitsmarkt eher gering. ; This graduate thesis is analysing the reform of structur regarding to studies, employability as well as particular circumstances of graduates in humanities and social sciences. Regarding to the theory of modernization according to Ulrich Beck the social change with its parts of labor and education is analysed it the theoretical part. You need to understand modernisation - which is described as multidimensional event - as cause and influential force of the (educational) so called Bologna reform, so the main thesis of this paper. Employability is a chief aim of Bologna reform. To analyse how students of humanities and social sciences are getting skills, expertise and knowledge so they'll acquire employability there is a discourse about the term and its utilisation (of employability). The third focus within the theoretical part is the description of the Bologna reform. In the context of the empirical part involved parties of the Bologna reform has been analysed based on quantitative and qualitative methods of empirical social research. To impart employability is an aim that you can find within discussions at the European Higher Education Area via higher education policy in Germany to the point of practical study regulations at HU Berlin. On the one hand both the polled graduates of the faculty of philosophy at HU Berlin and the employer are acclaiming/welcoming the integration of practical oriented units into university studies; on the other hand they are finding fault with the implementation. Even though employability is picked out as a central theme as well as practical oriented units are integrated into curricula the acceptance of a bachelor degree on labour market is still on a low level in particular within humanities and social sciences.

Drvoprerađivačka industrija (WPI) industrijski je sektor koji se temelji na drvnoj sirovini kao obnovljivome prirodnom resursu, zbog čega je moguće ostvariti održivi rast i razvoj te međunarodnu konkurentsku prednost. Interes je Europske unije graditi gospodarstvo utemeljeno na obnovljivim prirodnim resursima, što će rezultirati pojačanom pozornošću prema razvoju i potpori WPI-a. Cilj ovog rada jest vrednovati i usporediti razinu razvijenosti konkurentnosti WPI-a u Češkoj i Slovačkoj Republici u razdoblju od deset godina, i to uspostavom pokazatelja utemeljenih na podacima međunarodne trgovine sektora primjenom matematičkih i statističkih metoda. Kako bi se to postiglo, uspostavili smo sustav pokazatelja kojima se mjeri sektorska konkurentnost. Postavili smo hipotezu da je potencijal konkurentnosti WPI-a nedovoljno iskorišten. Rezultati dobiveni uz pomoć tih pokazatelja potvrdili su hipotezu i pokazali da, usprkos činjenici da WPI ima pozitivnu vanjskotrgovinsku bilancu i unatoč činjenici da znatno pridonosi pozitivnoj bilanci države, još uvijek ima niske vrijednosti pokazatelja, što upućuje na negativne trendove komparativnih prednosti, a posljedica toga je gubitak komparativnih mogućnosti. Analiza je također pokazala da je razlog niske konkurentnosti WPI-a niska specijaliziranost pojedine države u pojedinoj grupaciji proizvoda, što je potvrđeno statističkom metodom korelacijske analize. ; Wood processing industry (WPI) is a sector based on renewable natural resources of wood raw material. It can, therefore, provide sustainable growth and be competitive on the international markets. The interest of the European Union is to build economy based on renewable natural resources, meaning that it is necessary to pay increased attention to the development and support of the WPI. The aim of the article is to evaluate and compare the level and development of competitiveness of WPI in the Czech and Slovak Republics for a ten year period through the establishment of indicators based on foreign trade data of industry using mathematical and statistical methods. To reach the goal, a system of indicators measuring sectoral competitiveness was set up under the hypothesis: in the WPI the potential of competitiveness is used defi ciently. The resulting indicators have confirmed the hypothesis and shown that, despite the fact that the WPI creates active foreign trade balance and contributes to surplus balance of the country, it achieves low values of indicators implying comparative advantage with a negative, decreasing trend, consequently meaning that industry gradually loses its competitive ability. The analysis also showed that the reason for low competitive ability of WPI is low specialization of the country in the commodity group, which was confi rmed by statistical method of correlation analysis.

Após um período de crise cujos impactos na economia portuguesa se sentiram a um nível transversal e, à medida que a recuperação dos indicadores económicos se efectiva com maior solidez o tecido empresarial nacional começa, paulatinamente, a reunir confiança para se expandir novamente além-fronteiras. A presente tese tem como tema principal, o estudo do fenómeno da internacionalização do ponto de vista estratégico, utilizando um caso prático: a expansão internacional do Grupo Jerónimo Martins, na Colômbia. Essencialmente, este projecto pretende, numa primeira instância, analisar as principais fases e dinâmicas que constituem um processo de internacionalização, partindo de uma abordagem de índole teórica e posteriormente, estudar de que forma uma expansão internacional se implementa e adapta ao ambiente imprevisível e evolutivo do meio negocial onde se insere. Para tal, foi conduzida uma recolha de dados de cariz qualitativo, consistindo maioritariamente de fontes de informação secundária providenciadas por diversas organizações governamentais e privadas, inseridas em múltiplas esferas de actividade. Em termos gerais, concluiu-se que estudar estas iniciativas implica a compreensão dos critérios que delimitam a escolha do país de destino, assim como os modos de entrada no mercado e o raciocínio estratégico que impulsiona a operação. Através da análise do caso de estudo do Grupo Jerónimo Martins compreendeu-se igualmente que o processo de internacionalização é parte integrante de um contínuo crescente de dimensão geográfica e investimento de recursos. ; After a period of crisis whose impacts were felt in the Portuguese economy at a transversal level, the entrepreneurial tissue begins to indulge, again, in cross-border operations, as key economic indicators recover solidly. This thesis aims at analyzing the phenomenon of internationalization from a strategic point of view, while presenting a practical case study: the international expansion of Group Jerónimo Martins to Colombia. Essentially, this project is focused on examining the main stages and dynamics constituting an internationalization process, from atheoretical standpoint, and then dissecting how an international expansion is implemented and adapted to a specific real life scenario. To serve this purpose, a qualitative data research was conducted, mainly consisting of secondary information sources, provided by several government and private-owned organizations, established in multiple spheres of activity. In general, we concluded that studying these initiatives implies the understanding of the criteria defining the choice of target markets, entry mode decisions and the strategic reasoning driving the operation. Through the analysis of Group Jerónimo Martins' case study, we also determined that internationalization processes are often part of an increasing continuum of geographical coverage and resource commitment.

ÖZET Günümüzde ülkeler arası rekabet küreselleşmenin etkisi ile daha da çok artmıştır. Kültürel çeşitliliği, önemli tarihi geçmişi, doğal zenginlikleri, ekonomisi ve jeopolitik konumu ile Türkiye de bu yoğun rekabet ortamında dünyanın önemli pazarlarından biri olmuştur. Bu bağlamda çalışma Türkiye'ye yönelik algının ortaya konması amacıyla ülke imajı, ülke denkliği ve turistik destinasyon seçimi arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektedir. Araştırmanın hedef kitlesi İskandinav ülkeleri olan İsveç, Danimarka, Norveç ve Finlandiya'dır. Çalışmada öncelikle derinlemesine mülakatlar yapılarak uzman görüşleri alınmış ve ölçekler biçimlendirilmiştir. Sonrasında İskandinav ülkelerinde 1564 katılımcıya anket uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda ülke imajı, ülke denkliği ve turistik destinasyon seçimi arasında anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuştur. Demografik bilgiler ve seyahat bilgileri ile değişkenler arasında da anlamlı farklar olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bunlara ek olarak, Türkiye'ye daha önce gelenlerin gelmeyenlere göre daha olumlu değerlendirme yaptıkları gözlenmiştir. With its cultural diversity, important historical background, natural wealth, economy and geopolitical location, Turkey has become one of the important markets of the world in this intense competitive environment. In this context, the study examines the relationship between the country image, the country equity and the choice of tourist destinations in order to reveal the perception towards Turkey. The target of the study is the Scandinavian countries; Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland. In the study firstly, in-depth interviews are conducted and expert opinions are taken and the scales are formed. Afterwards, the questionnaire is applied to 1564 participants in Scandinavian countries. The results revealed that there is a significant relationship between the country image, country equity and touristic destination selection. Significant differences are also found between demographic information and travel information and variables. In addition, it is observed that those who came to Turkey before are more positive than those who did not. The findings of this study, which aims to be a useful work for Turkey, concerns the state, non-governmental organizations, opinion leaders and businesses operating in the field of tourism closely. For this reason, the study is important in terms of making social inferences and developing strategies throughout the country. The book presents a conceptually novel oscillations based paradigm, the Oscillation-Based Multi-Agent System (OSIMAS), aimed at the modelling of agents and their systems as coherent, stylized, neurodynamic processes. This paradigm links emerging research domains via coherent neurodynamic oscillation-based representations of the individual human mind and society (as a coherent collective mind) states. Thus, this multidisciplinary paradigm delivers an empirical and simulation research framework that provides a new way of modelling the complex dynamics of individual and collective mind states. This book addresses a conceptual problem – the lack of a multidisciplinary, connecting paradigm, which could link fragmented research in the fields of neuroscience, artificial intelligence (AI), multi-agent system (MAS) and the social network domains. The need for a common multidisciplinary research framework essentially arises because these fields share a common object of investigation and simulation, i.e. individual and collective human behavior. Although the fields of research mentioned above all approach this from different perspectives, their common object of investigation unites them. By putting the various pathways of research as they are interrelated into perspective, this book provides a philosophical underpinning, experimental background and modelling tools that the author anticipates will reveal new frontiers in multidisciplinary research. Fundamental investigation of the implicit oscillatory nature of agents'mind statesand social mediums in general can reveal some new ways of understanding the periodic and nonperiodic fluctuations taking place in real life. For example, via agent states-related diffusion properties, we could investigate complex economic phenomena like the spread of stock market crashes, currency crises, speculative oscillations (bubbles and crashes), social unrest, recessionary effects, sovereign defaults, etc. All these effects are closely associated with social fragility, which follows and is affected by cycles such as production, political, business, and financial. Modern social networks, digital services and the network economy at large are highly heterogeneous with many links and complex interrelations. Uncoupled and indirect interactions among agents require the ability to affect and perceive information in a field-broadcasted context. In this regard, there is a clear need to develop a collective mind-state paradigm capable of simulating some complex social cognitive and behavioral phenomena, such as collective states' temporal circadian rhythms, spatial clustering, herd effects, convergence effects, social networking, media and political campaigns impact on collective mind states, propaganda and information war effects on perception of threats, etc.In this regard, the multidisciplinary OSIMAS paradigm can yield new knowledge and research perspectives, allowing for a better understanding of social agents and their social organization principles.

Financial crises can be devastating. They wreak economic havoc within the economies of the relevant countries. Despite being extremely unwelcome they continue to reoccur and, interestingly, their features and root causes seem to be very similar. While there are accepted frameworks that outline the sequential stages of financial crises, the range of potential actions to contain them appear to be rarely academically assessed, or even identified. Such containment actions are diverse and undertaken by a variety of institutions. Thus, the aim of the research presented in this thesis is to provide insights that emerge from an analysis and evaluation of relevant financial crisis containment actions. The analysis is undertaken applying a complex system approach to appropriate financial crisis variables-data. Complex systems theory argues that the effectiveness of actions cannot be assessed by an isolated analysis. Side-effects and interferences from other actions may, in fact, neutralise an intended effect. However, the consequences of actions can be identified by a range of analytical techniques associated with complex systems. Against that background, using models developed from extant theories of financial crises, financial markets and financial containment, such actions are inductively analysed in terms of their sustainability, strength and impact on key indicators. Then, a "mix" of appropriate containment actions is identified with their relative effectiveness. The results of this analysis suggest that there is not a single all-embracing action that alone can contain a financial crisis. However, with varying consequences and degrees of effectiveness, there appear to be several containment actions that can help. Countries facing an isolated domestic financial crisis may apply only few actions to reach three desired key goals (i.e. increased asset prices, reduced risk of bank runs and stable foreign exchange rates). An international financial crisis however, seems to call for attention on other fronts. In these cases, central banks should arrange a harmonisation of monetary policies causing no changes of the foreign exchange rate. More containment actions are also of merit and could be applied. An historical evaluation of the identified "mix" of appropriate containment actions conducted as part of the thesis, in part, supports and strengthens the results of the systemic analysis. Implications, derived from the research, point to a weighted combination of effective containment actions that can be taken by central banks, governments and regulators when attempting to contain financial crises.

Introduction. The problem of anesthesia is characterized as one of social one, the dissemination of which is reasonably a number of negative factors. It is accented on the fact that the need to address it due to the lack of active prevention of the spread of drug use among adolescents and young adults. Purpose is disclosure of the specifics of socio-pedagogical work on re-socialization of drug addicts in the rehabilitation centers. Results. The main challenges for the specialists of socio-pedagogical work: prevention of HIV and other infections among drug-dependent persons; identification and social support for injecting drug users. As in socio-pedagogical work with other types of clients advised to stick to basic principles (understanding instead of condemnation, voluntary and partnership instead of control, confidentiality, sincerity and trust, close cooperation with family, assistance for self-help, comprehensive care), as well as principles of effective treatment proposed by the Institute for the study of drug addiction at the National Institute of health, USA. The attention is focused on the most common models of socio-pedagogical work on resocialization of drug addicts in a rehabilitation centers that focus on complete abstinence from drugs and aimed at reducing harm from drug use: medical, educational, and models of the self. Among the varieties of the programs used in the process of socio-pedagogical work on resocialization of drug addicts in the rehabilitation centers, advantage provide preventive, curative and rehabilitation, as well as functional equivalents, family drug prevention, harm reduction and risk reduction, peer, religious, prevention. Originality. Noteworthy are the types and forms of socio-pedagogical rehabilitation of drug addicts in the rehabilitation centers, as well as methods, which are usually classified into groups depending on the following criteria: purpose; end purpose; population; on the General principles of the impact on society; educational programmers; programmer of life skills. Conclusion. All this allows us to describe the Ukrainian anti-drug policy as restrictive, which is characterized by a strong and hard fight against illicit drugs, their illegal market, as well as a humane attitude to drug addicts. At the national level, it is implemented in the form of legislative regulation of social relations, and regional – in the form of local programmers and activities, which include the activities of numerous state agencies, public organizations, foundations and healing lodges. The activities of rehabilitation centers require further study.

Taiwan's ageing population has boosted the high rate of demand for caretakers. Many caretakers came from Southeast Asian countries such as the Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. Since 2005 Indonesian Workers have dominated the market share of the welfare sector. However in 2015 the Indonesian government launched a zero-maid policy, in order to terminate the sending of unskilled workers. The other goal is to provide better protection for migrant workers abroad. Taiwan becomes one of the targets of this policy. In fact, this policy will certainly create great impact on the supply of labor in the welfare sector in the future. Moreover, Taiwan has launched a national ten-year long-term care. So, how the Taiwanese government respond to this policy? Will the Indonesian workers' shalt position be replaced by other Southeast Asian workers? This article aims firstly, to understand the position of migrant workers among other foreign workers working in the welfare sector in Taiwan. Secondly, to understand the Taiwan government's efforts in response to the Indonesian government's plan. This study uses literature study and interviews. This issue will be analyzed using economic and social approaches. Namun di tahun 2015, Pemerintah Indonesia mencanangkan zero-maid policy, yaitu penghentian pengiriman TKI tidak terampil. Tujuannya tidak lain adalah untuk memberikan perlindungan yang lebih besar bagi TKI di luar negeri. Taiwan menjadi salah satu target dari kebijakan ini. Kebijakan ini tentu akan berdampak pada ketersediaan tenaga kerja pada sektor kesejahteraan sosial di Taiwan di masa depan. Apalagi Taiwan sudah mencanangkan national ten-year long-term care. Lantas, bagaimana respon pemerintah Taiwan terhadap kebijakan ini? akanlah TKI digantikan posisinya oleh TKA lainnya? Artikel ini bertujuan untuk pertama, memahami posisi TKI di antara tenaga kerja asing lainnya yang bekerja di sektor informal di Taiwan. Kedua, memahami upaya pemerintah Taiwan dalam menanggapi rencana pemerintah Indonesia tersebut. Studi ini menggunakan studi literatur dan wawancara. Persoalan ini akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan pendekatan ekonomi dan sosial. This paper is based on a presentation given at the conference Social Care and Social Policy in Ireland: Seeking Social Justice in the Era of Austerity and Beyond, February 16th 2015. The presentation communicated the findings of a Society of St Vincent de Paul (SVP) (2014) qualitative research study with low-income lone parents in Ireland, '"It's the hardest job in the world": An exploratory research study with one-parent families being assisted by the Society of St Vincent de Paul'. SVP commissioned the research to better understand the needs and circumstances of the one parent families it was assisting during austerity in ever increasing numbers. The research provided an insight into the experiences of the families at a time of sharp governmental budgetary austerity, from 2008 to 2013. This paper employs parents' own accounts of everyday battles to make ends meet, illustrating how cuts to public expenditure added to the financial adversity and material deprivation that they were already experiencing. An impact of austerity was parents' approach to SVP for assistance with basic needs such as fuel and food. The parents described feelings of stigma and shame at having to seek charitable support. During austerity the Irish Government also implemented reform to 'activate' lone parents in receipt of the One-parent Family Payment (OFP), a means-tested social assistance payment that does not require jobseeking for qualification, into jobseekers payments when their youngest child reaches 7 years of age. Lone parents (primarily mothers) assisted by SVP are the target cohort of the reform. The reform classifies lone parents as adult full-time workers, rather than being designed to take both caring and working roles into account. The explicit policy aim is reducing poverty and deprivation. The research explored the parents' reactions to reform and their positive motivations about paid employment, but also their desire for pathways to quality employment that allowed them to be good parents. The paper concludes that cumulative budgetary austerity in Ireland tightened the rubber band of low-income for families whose incomes were already inadequate to meet a minimum standard of living. With its current design, the reform may discourage working lone parents from employment. Public policy recommendations include developing an incomes policy for lone parent families; reforming the jobs market to ensure that employment betters families' living standards and is family friendly; and broadening Irish policy to faciliate lone parents in their roles as parents and workers.

Salman, M. et al. (2016). Integrating Scientific Publication into an Applied Gaming Ecosystem. GSTF Journal on Computing (JoC), Volume 5 (Issue 1), pp. 45-51. ; The European (EU)-based industry for non-leisure games (so called Applied Games, AGs) is an emerging business. As such it is still fragmented and needs to achieve critical mass to compete globally. Nevertheless, its growth potential is widely recognized and even suggested to exceed the growth potential of the leisure games market. The European project Realizing an Applied Gaming Ecosystem (RAGE) is aiming at supporting this challenge. RAGE will help to seize these opportunities by making available an interoperable set of advanced Applied Game (AG) technology assets, as well as proven practices of using such AG assets in various real-world contexts. As described in [1], RAGE will finally provide a centralized access to a wide range of applied gaming software modules, relevant information, knowledge and community services, and related scientific documents, taxonomies, media, and educational resources within an online community portal called the RAGE Ecosystem. Besides this, an integration between the RAGE Ecosystem and relevant social network interaction spaces that arranges and facilitates collaboration that underlie Research and Development (R&D), as well as marketoriented innovation and exploitation will be created in order to support community building, as well as collaborative asset exploitation of User Generated Contents (UGCs) of the RAGE Ecosystem. In this paper, we will describe the integration of the Scientific Publication Platform (SPP) Mendeley [2] into the RAGE Ecosystem. This will allow for automating repetitive tasks, reducing errors, and speeding up time consuming tasks. On the other hand it will support information, UGC, and knowledge sharing, as well as persistency of social interaction threads within Social Networking Sites (SNSs) and Groupware Systems (GWSs) that are connected to the RAGE Ecosystem. The paper reviews relevant use cases and scenarios, as well as related authentication, access, and information integration challenges. In this way, on the one hand a qualitative evaluation regarding an optimal technical integration is facilitated while on the other hand design approaches for supporting features of resulting user interfaces are initiated. ; This study is part of the RAGE project. В статье представлен кластерный подход к архитектонике управления развитием региональной туристско-рекреационной подсистемы. Рассмотрены инструменты согласованного использования ключевых туристских ресурсов территорий (специализированной инфраструктуры, природно-экологических и культурно-исторических ресурсов, образовательных центров, сложившихся производственных комплексов, профессиональных кадров и другие). Проанализированы ресурсная база и исторические предпосылки формирования туристско-рекреационного кластера. Автором сформулированы базовые принципы управленческих решений в рамках разработки и реализации проекта по активизации внутреннего туризма как базового элемента инновационного развития региона. Видение и целеполагание разработанного проекта связано с оценкой возможностей объединения туристских амбиций потенциальных стратегических партнеров туристического кластера в виде кольцевого брендового маршрута. Встроенный механизм стратегического партнерства обеспечивает реализацию проекта на основе принципа обеспечения скоординированной деятельности всех потенциальных стейкхолдеров -представителей бизнес-сообщества, местного сообщества, органов местного самоуправления, других акторов, представляющих и позиционирующих туристскую ресурсную базу. Предлагаемый автором кластерный подход к управлению развитием региональной туристско-рекреационной подсистемы для Восточного Подмосковья согласован с программными документами, реализуемыми в Московской области. В качестве принципиально новой схемы формирования регионального рынка туристских услуг в статье предлагается активизация межмуниципального стратегического партнерства. ; The article presents a cluster approach to the architectonics of management of regional tourist and recreational subsystems development. The author analyses the tools of coordinated use of key territory tourism resources (specialized infrastructure, natural-ecological and cultural-historical resources, educational centres, existing industrial complexes, professional staff and others). The author considers the resource base and historical background of the tourism cluster formation. The author formulates the basic principles of management decisions as part of the development and implementation of the project for the revitalization of domestic tourism as the basic element of the region innovative development. The developed project vision and goals are related to the assessment of the possibilities of combining tourism ambitions of the tourism cluster potential strategic partners in the form of an annular branded route. A built-in mechanism of strategic partnership ensures the implementation of the project on the basis of all potential stakeholders ensuring coordinated activities representatives of the business community, local communities, local governments, and other actors representing and positioning the tourism resource base. The author suggests a cluster approach to the management of regional tourism and recreational subsystems development for Eastern suburbs which is agreed with the policy implemented in Moscow region. As a fundamentally new scheme of formation of tourist services regional market the article proposes the enhancement of inter-municipal strategic partnership.

This PhD thesis provides an analysis of how an adaptive governance approach can be applied to address existing and emerging challenges in global governance with a focus on marine, wild-capture fisheries. All the papers share a coupled social-ecological framing while providing diverse but complementary perspectives. Paper I provides a lens through which it is possible understand the types of interactions that link social and ecological components of fisheries systems at the global scale. The key result of this paper was the development of a marine social-ecological framework to guide future modelling and scenario analysis. Paper II describes the process of emergence and spread of new ideas in marine governance using Marine Spatial Planning as an illustrative case study. The study shows how governance innovations may contribute to resolving the mismatches between the scale of ecological processes and the scale of governance of ecosystems. A key finding of the paper is the identification and explanation of the mechanisms by which informal networks of actors are able to influence the emergence and spread of new governance forms from the local to the global scale. Paper III focuses on governance of ocean areas beyond national jurisdiction. The key finding from this paper is the urgent need for existing and emerging governance institutions to build capacity for responding to the challenges facing governance of marine fisheries. These challenges arise from unexpected shifts in markets, technology and society. Paper IV develops a set of four imaginative but plausible 'radical' futures for global fisheries drawing on trends compiled from a diverse evidence base. The four resulting narratives aim to act as lenses for engaging debate and deeper reflection on how non-linear changes in technology and society might radically shift the operating context and core assumptions of fisheries governance in the future. These papers make a novel contribution to Sustainability Science through their focus on 1) the conditions for, and mechanisms of emergence of diverse and divergent governance forms, 2) the role of agency in complex actor settings, 3) the need for governance institutions to not only deal with, but also be able to anticipate surprise, and 4) the development of scenarios of marine social-ecological futures using a creative and rigorous narrative approach. ; At the time of the doctoral defense, the following paper was unpublished and had a status as follows: Paper 4: Manuscript.
