Indonesia has the potential for the beauty of its islands and coasts which are well known to foreign countries. Not only beautiful beaches, also stretches of coral reefs with hundreds of marine species, mangrove forests with their ecosystems are a panorama that can be found from Sabang to Maraoke. It is estimated that more than 21 marine tourism sites have been developed and become destinations for world and local tourists, in addition to locations that are still managed by the community. Foreign exchange contributions from the tourism sector continued to increase in 2018, the tourism sector's foreign exchange reached IDR 229.5 trillion, an increase of 15.4 percent on an annual basis. This study aims to describe the condition of marine tourism potential in South Sulawesi and its impact on local communities living around tourist sites and the development needed to improve the welfare of local communities. The research locations were on Lemo Beach, East Luwu Regency, Bira Bulukumba Beach and Makassar Lantebong Mangrove Tourism, taking 100 respondents. The research method is qualitative and analyzed descriptively by correlation and using Likers to assess its impact on people's welfare. The results of the study illustrate that in general, the role of the government, both local and provincial, is still needed, especially in environmental hygiene facilities, order for traders. The social impact on people's behavior shows that there is a change in the ability to communicate and interact more openly with a value of 1634. The economic impact shows a very large regional value due to the opening of new job opportunities which are a source of income for the local community with a value of 2250.

Since the early 1990s, building peace during and after conflict has been moving away from the conference tables of diplomats to informal settings created by local NGOs. The vast majority, if not all, of the peacebuilding policy and literature argues for strengthening local organisations as vehicles for peace. This paper starts from the observation that there is a dire lack of organisational perspective to the processes set into motion. Current local peacebuilding policy, we argue, is based on analyses that are far removed from the everyday practices of the actors engaged in peacebuilding. The paper offers instead a qualitative approach that gives central attention to the dynamics of peace organisations and the way conflict is experienced in the everyday life of local people. It analyses the case of one local women's peace organisation: the 'Sudanese Women's Voice for Peace'. Peacebuilding is done by people, and the dynamics of their organisation are crucial for its success. The paper argues that a process approach to peace organisations will enhance agencies' efforts for local peacebuilding. Such an approach focuses on the question how actors in and around organisations give meaning to an organisation. The paper outlines this approach, presents five central properties of local peace organisations, and discusses what lessons can be learnt from this perspective for the practice of peacebuilding.

AbstractConsidering the ongoing, record‐setting migration in the Global South, this paper explores the values, principles and ethical tensions of Venezuelan migrants in the informal economy of Colombia. We found that migrants frequently prefer to stay within the informal economy as a way of preserving their identities, values and principles, rather than adopting those of their new country. This choice sets up ethical tensions for the migrants and their host countries. Our analysis challenges the current policy goals of transitioning migrants from informal to formal economies as a mark of success and inclusion. Instead, we attempt to recognize the migrant voice and their agency capacity through our research using focus groups and applied thematic analysis (ATA) of popular music and narratives. Our findings broaden the understanding of why migrants choose to stay in the informal economy and challenge policy goals that focus on inclusion and integration of migrants into formal economy.

INTRODUCTION: Rugby union has been one of the team sports that has grown over the last few years, and the margin between success and failure for teams has become narrower as the years have gone by. The game consists of players going through different movements such as sprints and/or collisions, that vary in intensity. The demands that face schoolboy rugby players are not well understood, and the lack of research in this area leads to a potential lack of understanding of the perceptions that coaches have about the demands that schoolboys are faced with during a match. OBJECTIVE: Therefore, the purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions that the schoolboy rugby coaches had surrounding the demands that their players are faced with during a 70-minute match. There were a few secondary purposes of the study, such as determining which school, government or private, had a better understanding or perception of the demands, as well as comparing strength and conditioning coaches' perceptions to regular coaches' perceptions. METHODS: This was a cross-sectional, descriptive study to determine the coach's perceptions. These perceptions were collected through an online questionnaire, which consisted of ten sections and 74 questions. The questionnaire was piloted on a subject group with different types of experience. Coaches from the top 100 schools list were contacted through their school website. RESULTS: The questionnaire had a 72% response rate: 41 responses from 51 emails. The 41 responses consisted of 23 government schools and 18 private schools, which included 11 of the top 20 rugby schools in South Africa, with most responses coming from the Eastern Cape (41.5%). Results indicated that a government school's coaches had significantly (p<0.05) more experience than private schools' coaches, and that they had significantly (p<0.05) better academic qualifications than private schools. However, strength and conditioning coaches had significantly (p<0.01) better academic qualifications than coach, whereas coaches had significantly (p<0.01) better coaching qualifications than strength and conditioning coaches. CONCLUSION: "Experience has been shown to be a potential reason for what is described as a good coach". This is also another potential reason why government schools are a dominant force in schoolboy rugby in South Africa. However, this is also coupled with better qualifications showing the dual importance of both experience and education. Background: Quality maternal health care is central to the Sustainable Development Goals efforts to reduce maternal mortality, yet there remain limited quantitative data on maternal care inequities for women with disabilities in sub-Saharan Africa.Objectives: This study aims to understand the differences in maternal care providers for women with and without disabilities.Method: We used Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys from 13 sub-Saharan African countries conducted between 2017–2020. We used logistic and multinomial logistic regression to examine the relationship between disability (Washington Group definition) and antenatal care attendance and the type of care provider for antenatal care, skilled birth attendance, and postnatal and postpartum checks. All analyses were adjusted for age, wealth, country, and location.Results: The sample included 10 021 women, including 306 (3.1%) women with disabilities. There were small absolute and no relative differences in antenatal care attendance, qualified antenatal care provider, postnatal, and postpartum checks, for disabled and women without disabilities. Women with disabilities had some evidence of higher odds of having a doctor at their birth compared to women without disabilities (aOR = 1.52, 95% CI: 0.99–2.33).Conclusion: This study shows small absolute and no relative differences between women with and without disabilities for antenatal access and provider types for maternal care, though these findings are limited by a small sample and no data on care quality, acceptability, or outcomes. More research on care quality and outcomes is needed.Contribution: This study is the first quantitative, multi-country study in sub-Saharan Africa to examine maternal care seeking patterns, demonstrating important data on maternal health indicators for women with disabilities.

The Zulu Empire is one of the well-known empires in Africa and the world. It is well-known for having resisted and militarily defeated the English army in the battle of Isandlwana. However, history writers who predominantly wrote from the outsider perspective distorted a lot of historical events. This article reviews a book written by Shalo Mbatha entitled "Zulu Empire Decolonised: The Epic Story of the Zulu from Pre-colonial Times to the 21st Century". The article argues how the title remains true to the project of decolonisation. It further demonstrates how Shalo reverses the popular history created by colonisers by presenting events as known by those who lived through them. Her greatest success is in writing the history in the language of the colonised, thus restoring their dignity and having them rewrite their own history.

The South African Council for Educators' Code of Professional Ethics requires teachers to help learners develop values consistent with the fundamental rights contained in the Constitution of South Africa. To engage with such rights, teachers need to have the agency to develop such values, and this article explores how teachers of English in South African schools recognise (or fail to recognise) their change agency. Using a qualitative, interpretivist approach with narrative inquiry, twenty-two teacher-researchers were tasked with listening to the stories of teachers of English in order to answer the research question: do teachers consider themselves to be agents of change in their English classrooms? While the findings indicate that some teachers fail to enact agency, other teachers, despite claiming otherwise, do serve as agents of change in their classrooms. By respecting who learners are and enabling a democratic environment, teachers are able to engage with possibilities for change despite challenges. By having a clear vision of who they are as teachers, they are able to use interventions to improve the conditions for learning and make a difference to the lives of their learners.Keywords: change agency; democracy; empowerment; teachers of English

This article seeks to highlight in more depth the public levers of action in the implementation of anticorruption policies within the countries among the Central Africa region. Using non-supervised statistical method, we first study the profile of the countries concerned (institutional, social, entrepreneurial, etc.), then secondly, we analyze the impact of public measures on the extent of corruption at the national level. We manage to demonstrate that there is a common and standard subregional political program intended for public decision-makers, regardless of the degree of heterogeneity of national structures.
